"Waaaaaah!"The child's incessant wailing filled the air. Paired with the squawk of spiraling seagulls that swooped low among the wooden pier to feast upon the bounty of dropped ice cream cones and curly fries of careless children, Orizuru would have rather dived into the waters below and fought with a vicious shark. The stirring waters reflected the neon flashing lights of Pilaf Land in all of its illuminated glory. Carnival music floated to them over the pier coupled with the laughter of children and adults alike. The whole sight made him sick to his stomach. Ori glanced down at the crying child tugging at his pants, then at the lollipop held in his grip. "Give it back! Give it back!""No. I'm hungry. Now scram."He stuck the lollipop into the pouch of his cheek, the white stick dangling from his lips as Ori turned to walk away. Something caught and held his foot. Glancing down once again, the crying child now clung to his leg in its entirety. What a nuisance! "Beat it, shrimp!""No!"Ori growled and balled his fist, as if he were going to strike the boy. "It took me three days to get here by foot. I'm hungry. Go get your mom to buy you some food."The kid stopped crying, staring up at him with large round eyes. "I c-can't. My... my mommy... she..."More tears glistened, his tiny lips quivering as another bout of weeping overcame him. Something tugged at his heart. A deep ache resounded in his chest, far worse than any physical pain he had ever endured. Even now, though at the age of nineteen, he ached for the touch of his own mother. To have seen her face or heard her voice... he steeled himself against the wave of emotion. He would do what he always did. He shoved it deep down. Yet some compassion remained. Ori bent down and dragged the kid to his feet. He removed the lollipop from his own mouth and shoved it into the kid's mouth, shutting him up with the surprisingly kind gesture. The kid blinked, fat tears streaming down his cheeks. Ori stared at him, his lip curled in disgust. What a brat. "You done, runt? Now, scram."The boy sniffled, wiping at his eyes. Ori bent over him, hands planted on his hips with an irritated expression on his face. To the untrained eye, it would appear he was in the midst of bullying such a child. “Hey!” Ty walked up next to the young man stealing candy, she was about three inches shorter than him in height, she held a look of determination in her ocean teal eyes, she made sure she caught his full attention before she spoke again, “I saw what you did to that kid. While sharing is caring, he refused to share, so you gave it back. I understand that spending 20,000 zeni on a Pilaf rainbow Lollipop is the worst trade off in the history of all trade offs, given that I had to work at least eight hours to afford something like that, and you had to resort on having an innocent child be kind enough in order to eat means that you must be really hungry and earned this.”
With an air of confidence, the orange haired teenager handed Ori an even larger lollipop in the shape of a clear orange dragon ball with a single red star at the center, and smiled genuinely with affirmation, “Take it, the candy is yours. I am sure you are hungry, I am too, I didn’t save enough money for my week long trip to afford being able to eat in Pilaf Land with these eye gouging prices. The food restrictions at the border really forces tourists to spend every single zeni. I restricted all my spending on sweets because it’s all I can afford to buy....the other meals are double the price or triple. It’s insane if you ask me but it’s worth it because I love Emperor Pilaf, I read all the comics about his search for the seven magical dragon balls, and he was thwarted by an evil monkey-kid who wanted it for selfish reasons ...Oh! I am sorry, I can go on forever about the comics, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Tiger Lily, what’s yours?”
The teen stood idly by as she drank her fresh squeezed orange tinted lemonade, with red shaped plastic ice stars inside that were frozen to keep her large drink cold, she was wearing a black hat, black half framed glasses, a black hooded sweater, black torn up skin tight sweatpants, and white sneakers. The was a miniature Emperor Pilaf key chain tied next to the tongue of her laced up left shoe. There was a moment of silence between them as she blinked a few times expectantly and looked down at her drink.
“Do you want a hit of this lemonade too?” She chuckled softly, uncertain about what to do if they were both feeling rather hungry for real food given the circumstances.

Ori stared at the sniveling child who rubbed chubby fists against his red, puffy eyes. Every now and then, the kid would let out a small sniffle but for the most part, the water works seemed to be drying up. The child looked pathetic enough as is: a silly orange hat depicting a mystical Dragon Ball, and a thick scarf wrapped around his small neck despite a bare chill clinging to the air. The laces of one of his shoes had already come completely undone. The corner of Ori's lip curled in disgust. Who was this brat, anyway? Why wouldn't he just go away? Where were his parents? Were they negligent? Ori thought of his own parents. A mother he had never known, though from the way the servants spoke reverently of her, she was a kind and nurturing woman in her time. The father he disowned who had tried to have his own son murdered time and time again. Could this child be experiencing a similar upbringing? Was it better just to grab the child and take him with him? Find him better parents? How often had Ori himself sat in the dark corners of his bedroom—more like a prison—had he wished for a kind stranger to come and whisk him away? To go where no one knew him, or thought of him as a blight or a curse? Taught to understand who his identity was instead of wandering the lands in a never-ending pursuit of his true identity? Would things be different for him now? Then again, why would any of this be Ori's problem? "Hey!" "Hmm?" Ori raised an eyebrow as he rose to his full height and observed the teenage girl that approached. An icy grip of fear clutched at his chest and stole the very breath from his lungs. His eyes widened as he stumbled back from her, staring at her exclusive gift of an exclusive Pilaf Land rainbow-colored lollipop. His eyes shifted from the girl, to the gift, and then back to the small child. Her power level was staggering in comparison to his own. A delicious shudder traveled the length of his body. Ori clenched his fists in anticipation. He had long since stopped fleeing from the strong; he faced them headlong. Though he wasn't exactly looking for a beating at the moment, the stronger the person he fought, the stronger he would become. It was apparent she had seen his gesture of kindness in returning the lollipop to the child, prompting her own actions. He didn't like that. He didn't want people seeing him perform acts of kindness. Not him, of all people. Not the Paper Crane—the brutish terror of small martial arts competitions, local and abroad. Ori didn't want to accept her gift of charity. What he wanted, however, was something far more valuable from her—power. He swung his hand, swatting the candy straight from the girl's grasp. It clattered to the wooden deck and slid over the edge where it plunged into the icy water below the pier. Ori reared back and laughed in sinister fashion. "You think I want your charity? Worse yet, you think I care what this brat wants? Let me tell you something, girl." Ori reached out and snatched the boy by the scruff of his neck. He lifted the poor boy into the air with one arm as the child struggled and fought to no avail, dangling helplessly in the bigger man's grasp. "You don't know me. So I'll let you off with a little warning." His example of a warning? He walked to the edge of the wooden pier and held the boy above the dark waters blow. Tiger Lily did not notice the child was still around, her eyes widened at the revelation that the dragon ball lollipop that cost her an entire day of work plunged into the depths below deck, and she was used to how people treated her differently no matter where she went. How much did Ori have to suffer to become this way? While there was no law about throwing away food in Pilaf Land it was such a waste of effort. All she could say on the matter was her simple thought process.
“That’s not nice. We just met and I was trying to get to know you but you didn’t even tell me your name.”
While Ori refused to greet her back he grabbed the helpless child and tossed him over the pier. Every instinct in her body sent her free falling over the railing plunging towards the surface of the water below focusing her ki to speed up and catch the crying boy in time. Just before they hit the water she stopped mid air and flew back up with the boy held in her arms landing further away to safely land. While the pier was mostly devoid of people she instructed the child to find help by going to the nearest security booth at the end of the pier to get the help he needed to find his parents. With a smile she waved at the boy as she gave him the courage to leave. Ty then dashed over to Ori her orange hair fluttered as she came to a sudden stop just inches from his face.
“You want to start something with me? You should have just grabbed me instead. Why beat around the bush by preying on the weak to show how tough you are? You seem older than me, why are you still playing with children like that?”
Given that he was not much to talk about anything the teenage girl took up the sloppiest martial arts stance Ori had ever seen. Ty had not formerly received any martial arts training, everything she knew she learned by imitating everyone she was close with, and she was not going to pass up an opportunity to become stronger in order to protect everyone she cared about.
“Let’s dance then. If we ever cross paths again just ask me out from the start, stranger.”

She was fast. Faster than his eyes could track. In an instant the girl launched herself past him and off the edge of the peer, reaching for the crying boy. She managed to grab him at the last second, making the hero's save. Good girl. He placed a hand against one of the tall wooden posts, a malicious grin gracing his lips as he waited for the inevitable splash. Yet it never came. "Huh?" The orange-haired teen hovered above the water. Ori blinked several times, disbelieving what was taking place before his very eyes. She... she could fly? She could fly!? Impossible! How could some strange girl learn and implement a technique he hadn't even mastered himself? And it was invented by his own relative! His blood boiled with righteous fury as the girl landed on the pier with the boy in tow. And for what purpose? The kid in his crying fit lost his lollipop anyway. Ori licked in the inner pouch of his cheek, chasing the last vestiges of the candy flavor. What a waste. His stomach grumbled, and he pressed a hand against it. Back to square one... again. Tiger Lily instructed the child to go get help, then dashed at Ori as if to attack him. Her lightning quick reflexes were difficult to follow and he could do naught else but stand there and wait for the inevitable blow. But it never came. Ori blinked as she began to berate him for his actions, stating next time he could just ask her out from the start instead of creating a ruse with an innocent child just to goad her into a fight. For a second, he felt chastised. But he quickly ditched that silly emotion with a shake of his head. No! He wasn't the one on trial here. It was her. "Where did you learn that technique? Who taught you the Sky Dance Art? Was it my father?" He peered closely at her. She didn't seem familiar at all—he would have remembered such a cute face and distinct orange hair. No... she learned it from somewhere else. It was an atrocious offense to him. He declined to slip into his own fighting stance, though it was obvious they were about to clash. He didn't have one. He merely mirrored his own opponents, but in this case, her stance was so poor he had no clue how to guard or strike from it. So he kept his own posture relaxed, though his white aura danced around him like a flickering flame in anticipation. "How you managed to learn that technique is anyone's guess. Some kind of cheat, I bet. A trick, yeah, that's it!" His frown deepened. Ori balled his fists tightly at his sides, so tight in fact the skin of his palms creaked as if it were rough leather. A blow from such a fist would dent steel with little problem. What would it do to this girl? "You're going to regret sticking your nose in my business. C'mon, girly. “Sky art technique…” Ty blinked her brilliant eyes full of wonder for a moment, “ A cheat? Never. I have always been a good girl.”The rest of what Ori had to say made her laugh, she almost doubled over at how dramatic he was, and she was almost convinced of the act. “Hey, whatever floats your boat, I am open to the challenge. I love fighting. I have been told not to use my strength on the weak but you seem pretty tough and confident in yourself so we can both learn something from this!”
The orange haired teenager grinned, focusing her ki energy to have an edge in the fight, she felt it innately due to her saiyan abilities that she was way out of his league, but that was not going to stop her from getting him good. All the training she received had been a beat down to the ground, except for fight with Achido, they both surrendered because they were fighting past curfew and were too hungry to keep going after rolling in the mud. As she reflected on the idea of cheating, she did get her hair pulled, but it was an accident since it was caught on something. Ty loosened the teal green ribbon wrapped around her wrist, she tied up her thick long locks of hair to one side to avoid the same mistake again of having it get caught on anything in their exchange. “Alright, Boat. Let’s dance.”The pressure of how powerful Ty was over Ori was overbearing, she was not going to hold back even if he did not match her in power level, and it was a direct result of not being properly trained in martial arts. There was a code people followed where having an advantage in skill meant holding back but she never experienced it personally. After leaving home, she did her best to become a better fighter on her own accord, and was smiling widely in anticipation. [331]

She seemed far too excited with the prospect of their inevitable clash. A smile tugged at her lips, accentuating what he thought were childish dimples. This seemed to be a friendly sparring match by her estimation. She even used the word 'fun', sprinkled in like bits of flavored toffee atop a delectable dessert dish. She was strong, and from that strength she drew her confidence. But it was the fool who did not heed both that which was seen and unseen. He did not smile. He did not laugh. He let the previous banter fall from his lips and die at his feet. His face took on a cool, placid expression. His mouth became a thin, disapproving line. His fingers twitched and convulsed as if possessed of a will of their own. His knuckles ached with the lingering ghost of the sensation of his bony knuckles shattering both bone and cartilage. This was no friendly bout—this was a fight for survival. He lowered his stance at that moment as the realization dawned on him. This was a child's game to her. And if that were the deepest extent of this girl's conviction, despite the obvious power that came off of her in droves, there was little reason for him to contend with her. "Forget it." He lowered himself to the ground, sat in a lotus position. He stared up at Tiger Lily, a deep frown etched upon his dour features as he propped an elbow against his knee and rested his chin in his cupped hand. "If you're not going to take this seriously, I may as well wait for security to show up." He yawned widely, patting a hand to his mouth before stretching back against the pier. I can’t explain it…honest!”What the teenage girl found difficult to explain were her roots as a barbarian saiyan with tribal war-like tendencies, she grew up thinking she was human, and gave up studying so she could be strong enough to protect her friends. Though her protests would fall upon deaf ears, Tiger Lily insisted she truly did want to fight. What he mistook for childish ignorance was truly just an excitement for the coming bout between the two of them. She didn't understand why it was that way—that was just how things were. Ori rolled his eyes, one leg folded idly over the other as he kicked his foot in a casual manner. He continued to gaze up at the night sky, hands resting behind his head as if he had not a single care in the world. Why should he bother trying if she was just going to make this out to be a joke? It wasn't fair to him, considering he took every fight deathly serious. And then she sprung. Luckily, he was waiting for it. He rolled backwards and pushed himself up off the pier, just shy of her fists smashing into him. They slammed into the pier with surprising force. His eyes widened in surprise, yet in the dim evening light, it also allowed him to study her closely. In that short span of a few seconds, he drank in her form, her technique, and the attack she leveled at him and committed it all to his short-term memory. It was what he did best, and what made him such a dangerous foe to fight. Landing a couple feet away, Ori didn't bother to retort as he sprung right back at her with an almost elated expression on his face. Much like she had, he flew at her a breakneck speed, his white aura flaring wildly around him as he fired off a pair of piston-like punches that sought to connect with her abdomen in a mirror image of the same way she had just attacked him. Ori remained a silent observer of Tiger Lily’s punch which he evaded afterall, with an everlasting grin she noticed that he imitated her movements, and she was excited to know that he learned something directly from her in that fleeting moment. While it was not a technique she devised herself, she appreciated learning it from her boyfriend, even if he did not hold back in teaching it to her, and yet she found joy in utilizing it on Ori again with a laugh. “I like you, Boat. Her speed did not disappoint. His punches flew straight and true, and there was little doubt as to the precision of his blows. But it is an unfamiliar technique, and he copied it from a foe with sloppy posture. It was little wonder he missed, yet he would not take anything away from the teenager’s dexterity. Much like a rabbit escaping the frothing maw of a predator, she dashed around his attacks. There was joy in her eyes and mirth in her spirit. This girl, much like himself, was a natural. She remarked that she, too, admired his own fighting spirit, though the name she called him threw him off for a split second. He paused and stared at her in confusion, falling out his offensive stance. His limp fists briefly dangled in the air in front of him as his mind worked to process her words. Did she call him...? “Boat?” He blinked at her. It was a crafty diversion he should have seen coming. It is instinct alone which saved him: his entire body pivoted ninety degrees, presenting a smaller target. Her fists sailed past the bridge of his nose, nearly taking some of the skin with it. He could do naught else but laugh. “Crafty girl!” She had not disappointed thus far. If she could get wily, then so could he. Red ki coalesced into his palm, forming an orb of energy. He thrust it at Ty and blasted at point-blank range. Whether it caught her or not, he slid past her guard and slipped behind her, attempting to get into her blind spot and grab her. Should his venture succeed, one wiry arm would snake itself around her throat as he sought to capture her in a rear choke hold. She slipped through his grasp like the slippery eel she was. His hands closed on nothing but empty air. Ori smirked. He liked that. It'd be boring if it were too easy, wouldn't it? He loved when his opponents presented a challenge, and the fact she possessed awareness of his tactics even in the waning twilight as time quickly sped toward night... maybe he was mistaken about her from the beginning. Maybe she just liked fighting after all. That one thought—that brief second, stretched out into an eternity in his mind—exposed a fatal flaw. And he would be punished for it. Her fist slammed into his nose and snapped his head back with brutal force. It felt like the girl had wrapped her fist in reinforced steel as her knuckles plowed through his pliable flesh. Luckily for him, he was tougher than he looked, and her ki blast sailed past his head due to the force of her punch, ironically enough. Ori staggered backward, pain exploding between his eyes as he cupped a hand to his face. He lowered his fingers, spying dark blood. It leaked from his nose in a steady flow. He swiped a thumb across it, and though there was a terrible sharp stab of pain that sent prickles across his scalp, his nose didn't appear to be broken. Only the thin veil of aura coating his body prevented that. He glanced up at her as she remarked about fighting spirit. Fighting spirit? This was little more than a friendly bout to her. Was she even trying to subdue him, or was this her strange way of stalling until security arrived to back her up? Not that she needed it. If things kept going this route, she'd run him out of the park herself. As if he'd let her. Time to get serious. The pier shook beneath him as his aura flared wildly, his power level rising in a sharp increment. He glared daggers as he shot forward, filled with renewed vigor. His hands were like vipers as they shot forth with blinding speed as his fingers sought to enclose around her right arm. He would attempt to slip his body between her and her right arm, dragging it over his shoulder and bringing it down hard. Ty grinned when she finally hit him, he managed to slip out of the way of her blast, but his follow up movements were lacking finesse as she took two steps back to miss his attempts to grab her. A glint in her eye allowed her to tap into the pool of her fighting spirit, otherwise what she called ki energy, and nearly doubled it up with a new sense of strategy. She also exchanged enough blows with Ori to learn his technique to move swiftly at the last minute. With outstretched fingers fanned out to frame of her face, she used the newly acquired ki to use the first technique she learned from her saiyan father which she improved over time to master with every spar, and closed her eyes long enough not to fall prone to the blinding flashing light. After a few seconds the light that filled the whole area subdued and she opened her ocean teal hues again to focus her energy in her palm; firing another ki blast at her opponent with more resolve to hit him with it. He missed her again. His fingers grasped at nothing as her arm slid from his grasp as if it had never been there. He spun around to make another attempt, but Tiger Lily bounded backwards and out of his reach. Damn it! Grappling wasn't his strongest suit. While his short-term memory excelled at mimicking a foe's technique, it did not always retain the information.
