Majin Nal was happy.
Not, like... temporarily content. But genuinely happy. She had learned a lot from her previous three fights and that last adventure made her realise something new, too - something she has been wanting to do her entire life, even though the majin wasn't aware of it.
She could fly!
At first, it was wobbly and shaky and really needing concentration, but like with most of her techniques, the gray majin swiftly dedicated a part of her frantic mind to store that technique. And soon, the girl was soaring through the skies, giggling gleefully. She decided to head towards a city - to show off and-
People. There were people in the desert, lurking under... was that her favourite rock? Where she trained the enlarging technique on that bird! Nal flew over there and suppressed her power level, to sneak up on the brazen rock usurpers. There were two. A woman and a man, discussing some words she couldn't quite hear, not without crawling closer...
"-...body noticed? You know those other ones are at large, especially Eleven." - the woman's voice. "I'm sure. There was nobody even around... I mean, look around us. Other than that razed camp where I found this unlucky feller, there ain't no sign of human activity for miles." - the man. Nal's curiousity was sure piqued by now. "Yes, well, we've heard that before and almost got followed by a mob of civillians. We can't afford any more slip-ups like that. Carry this one quickly, I'll mask the tracks." - the woman, again, and then some shuffling. Peering from over the rock rewarded Nal with a look of a man, dragging another man away, and a woman grabbing what looked like a huge broom made out of twigs, kind of... combing the sand behind the drag marks the unconscious person was leaving. Nal wanted to jump in and beat them up, but... an idea pinged in her head. There's probably more of them, like bandits she fought before in that place these two mentioned. If she tracks them all down, maybe she can beat up the source of all this! And be a big, important hero. And obviously, learn a thing or two. But... the recent spars taught the girl that she was, in fact, very barely suitable for a fight. So... maybe it would be good to call in her friends. She could show off flying to them!
As the two dragged the body, Nal hid behind the rock, recalling the sense of their energy so that she could discover it later. She was really good at that, for some reason. But the important question in Nal's mind was - who to invite? Zam was strong! And if told nicely, she might not destroy the prisoners. Sure, she was scary strong, but Nal got stronger too so maybe that would save any more fear! Bryce... the technoman was also around and also powerful, more than her and really, really hard to hit. So... these two. But how to even find them if she can't sense the energy of one of the two?... Well she can't, but he can sense hers alright.
With a brilliant idea in her mind, Nal stood up - and burst into the air, grinning ear to ear. "Brilliant"... hah. That's a good one, because she was about to send a VERY bright signal flare to all of them. Which, obviously, meant she powered up mid air. Not only once, but then, powered up *further* spiking her power level to absurd amounts. This wasn't what she was capable of sustaining for long at all, but - both Zam and Bryce would definitely sense it and probably come along to try and find out what caused it! Especially since it was green and Nal was about the only person she knew with a green aura.
Of course, the majin didn't quite figure out that someone else might also sense that massive power spike and come around... but she could probably deal with that.

Bryce was thinking on ways to get stronger, but fate would have it that most of those ways did not involve actually getting stronger. The mandroid figured it was time to invest in something flashy, like that Savina had done, or any of his other spars. The shooting pure energy out of your hand was a cool thing, and he definitely wanted to be able to do that.. but he hadn't ever been able to produce as much as a spark. Go figure, made of metal and not even so much as a hot breeze around him. At least this meant something was cooling his body.
Maybe.. just a close combat attack for now? Bryce was stuck with nothing but that anyway, might as well make a move that would be really flashy and something to look out for, though he failed to recognize that a simple melee attack would be very difficult to make his own as almost everyone could simply copy a technique like that. And he couldn't even make it his own since he didn't exactly own the rights to being able to punch people, nor anything else with his hands to invoke some form of harm.
The android began to think that maybe he was overthinking this a bit too much, and that maybe he needed someone on the outside to help him. Someone with the ability to make punches look really flashy.. maybe even with an actual flash!
But as he figured all that his eye was slowly beginning to pick up on an energy signature that was slowly rising, grabbing his attention more and more. Was it.. someone he knew behind that power? If so, the timing could not be any better seeing as they could help with thinking up a new technique.
''Serpent kick?'' He murmured as he turned to the direction of the sensed energy, his hand on his chin. ''Oxen push?'' Shoving names out into the open was his plan of approach while.. approaching said power. He had seen people fly before, but he couldn't do much with the energy he knew people possessed just yet. And that was when he noticed, or rather thought about that power he felt, and could actually see as a green flame on the horizon. It didn't move, it was a stationary source of energy. So maybe not a flare.
It quickly dawned on him though that it could very well be someone using the ability of flight that for some reason was trying to send a signal to.. who ever was around. Sadly, if that was the case this wouldn't be limited by only good people. Monsters and bandits could possibly also feel it. But also, flight! And as he drew even closer, still thinking of names for his yet to be invented technique- Pressure palm? Sonic strike? Bashful boot?- he noticed a sort of pinkish hue inside of the green 'flame', which quickly appeared to be an aura.
Pink? No, grey. It looked pink. Maybe.. Nal? The childish one that.. compared to that other majin was a way better match? The one who, despite being so childish knew when to curb it and spar with Bryce like an equal? That Nal? But why.. when did she learn how to fly? Granted, Bryce hadn't been told much about her aside from her extremely durable body as well as the healing skills.
It also seemed like there was quite some pent up anger towards this other majin being.. who knew, maybe Nal could help with that. Because at least a part of her childish logic had worked before. And as he moved close enough to hear the energy being expelled, he knew this bout of childish logic had worked too. At least in part, anyway.
''Nal!'' He yelled up into the sky. ''Attracting all kinds of bad people, are you?'' He added, trying to make it known that she was doing the wrong thing for what he assumed were the right reasons.

Underneath the shade of a leafy tree, a small bundle of pink snoozed. If one were to listen closely, they could almost hear the tiny z’s in each breath. Majin Zam was, for once, not causing any trouble whatsoever. Playing so much yesterday had left her all tuckered out. Sometimes, even ancient, cosmic destroyers needed a nap. The local demons were praising their dark lords for the rare opportunity. You see, the smartest of them had gotten an idea... They had gathered their strongest and burliest together, surrounding the area from all sides. Boulders, tree trunks anything big and sturdy was grabbed and brought over. The one who could read and write painted the obstacles with ancient symbols. ‘Dangr. Majen slep. Donut waek!’ So the crudely crafted signs warned.
And... It worked! For a while anyway.
However, something started tickling the girl’s senses. Her antennae twitched, like a nose touched by a feather. Wiggle... Wiggle wiggle... Slowly but surely the sensation seeped through the sleepy haze. Eventually the golden eyes cracked open. A looong yawn escaped her from her jaw. She sat up and streeetched her whole frame. Her curious gaze was drawn to the sky, towards the huge tingle... Until she spotted a light. A green light! The tingle had felt familiar, but now she recognized it for sure. Nal was doing something fun!
Without wasting a moment, the pink Majin bounced up onto her feet. Energy crackled across her skin like sparks and suddenly flared into a huge blaze. Approximately two seconds later, the barrier of boulders and trees had a Majin-sized hole in it. She dashed off as a blazing blur, soon vanishing into the distance. A huge dust cloud was whipped up in her wake, dancing in the wild winds. The demons shared a defeated look and a collective sigh. So much for the ‘hope she sleeps for a thousand years’ plan... Well, it was nice while it lasted. Some of them took solace in the fact that whoever had gotten her so excited was far away from here.
Overwhelming amounts of nyoom later...
Rapid tapping heralded Zam’s arrival. She came to a screeching stop, blowing another dust cloud into the air. Once it settled, she eagerly peered around. This was the place! She was sure of it. The tingle was so strong. Yup yup, Nal was somewhere... around... Her line of thought was cut short when she spotted another familiar face. The golden gaze sparked with instant recognition. “Oooh!” Bouncing up and down, she waved and hollered excitedly. Her voice echoed far. For better or worse... “Heeey! Hey, Mister Tiny Tingle!” Maybe he had a name and maybe he had told it to the girl, but it hardly mattered. The scatterbrained creature used less than flattering nicknames with everyone.
“Heeeeey Nal!”
...Almost everyone.
The energetic girl’s attention had already returned to finding her friend. She stared high into the air, amazed by the gray girl. No matter how she hopped, bounced and jumped, she couldn’t get the same height. So that meant.... Her friend had to be super amazing at jumping! “Nal! Hey! Hey, Nal! Hey, listen!” If the brilliant beacon hadn’t already announced their presence to the entire wasteland, the chaotic creature was making sure even the blind knew where to find them. She was blissfully oblivious to any dangers lurking nearby. ...Though to be fair, she was probably one of those dangers.

Cade sat in the scant shelter he had located from the fierce heat of the mid day desert sun. The sandstone shelf that jutted out from the hard pan was just big enough for him and Boko to get relief. He had made sure she had water, and turned his attention to finding something to make his stomach stop trying to hug his backbone. It had been a bit of a lean time lately, since he had returned from seeking the Fist of the South star. He hadn't been able to find much work and the demons seemed to be fighting among themselves for the moment... which mostly left him to train and prepare. He rummaged through his pack... jerky... jerky... jerky... did he have anything in here that wasn't a salt bomb? He finally pulled out a can of Spaghett-Gohans and cracked the lid open, eating the noodles and sauce in their lukewarm state. Soon enough he had scraped the bottom of the can and wrapped it up in a plastic bag and stuck it back in his back pack so he could dispose of it properly later. He took one large mouthful of water and then leaned back against the rock and lowered his straw hat over his eyes. Time for a lil' siesta...
He hadn't been asleep for terribly long when he felt a huge spike of a power level pretty close by. He hopped up ad banged his head on the rock, knocking himself right back down. Cursing under his breath vehemently, he crawled out from the rock and stood rubbing a small knot forming on his skull and looking to the south east to witness a green flaring light in the sky. He gingerly put his hat back on his head, careful not to irritate the bump on his noggin further and went to saddle Boko. "Come on, ol' girl, somethin's going down... or up I guess, over there and we gotta check it out." Only a few minutes later, Cade was mounted up and headed towards the beacon.
Boko's smooth swift gait ate up the distance a bit quicker than Cade's own legs might have done, but it still seemed that he was the last to arrive to... whatever this was. He saw that the green light in the sky was none other than Nal, one of the folks he had went seeking the Fist of the South Star with. When the hell had she learned how to fly? She hadn't been able to at the mountain... I wonder if I can learn how? He pulled up Boko as he came up by another familiar face, nodding to the stoic man he greeted him, "Heya, Bryce. Hope you've been well, buddy. You uh... know what this is all about?" He turned back to look around and saw a little pink figure that made him freeze in place and clench his fist, "What is that one doing here? Has Nal... made her better?" His stare towards Zam left no doubt about who he was talking about. The memory of the village she had destroyed lived in his heart and nightmares still. It was a major motivation for his training and he wondered if he would be able to defeat her now... but this might not be the time. He didn't even know what was going on, yet. He tried to contain himself as he waved at Nal to call her down, "Nal, what are you doing? What is going on here? Can you come down and tell us?"

And she burned, and burned... until there was an ever so familiar voice. And another! And... yet another? The majin looked down, seeing not two, but three people! Also a bunch of others in the distance, but those really didn't matter, did they? They weren't friends! At least yet.
The majin grinned, waving at them all from up there. "Hey, look! I can fly!" - she exclaimed, and as to demonstrate - she flipped upside down in the air, opened her arms and - bolted from the air right into the ground, with a goal of tacklehugging Zam, of all people! With all the speed of a flying, deceitfully strong and tough majin, if these two had bones, they'd probably both have a hard time staying unbroken. "Hey Zam! Hey Bryce! And hey Cade and your unedible bird!" - she spoke, letting go of Zam and standing before them all. Grinning ear to ear.
"So I kinda called you all here, well sorta, because I heard something about some people kidnapping people and I saw them go that way" - the majin pointed towards the desert. "And I can still sense them a little so I thought we can all go and save the kidnapped person while also having some fun beating up those guys. We do something good and people will like us for it, might give us nice stuff and just generally be fun and friendly. And we get to beat up people that are not friendly. We do good and everyone likes us for it. A big win" - she nodded, the pitch was mostly there for Zam - to maybe try and plant that idea in her chaotic, pink head that beating up the bad people and not the nice ones can mean more candy and gifts... and that it's just a good thing in general.
"What do you all think?"

There was a Zam, and a Cade. Both of which acknowledged the mandroid, though the way that the 'strong' majin used was.. anger inducing. Already. And he barely said anything except for those few words to Nal. For now, because he didn't know the other two well enough, she was the only one he felt he could talk to and so he ignored the other two there. Besides, most of his focus was on Nal anyway since he had seen people using energy for doing harm or, in her case, undoing harm, but he had never seen it be used for something so simple as flight. And to make sure his assumptions were right he unleashed his ability to sense energy on it the moment she touched the ground. And yes, it was confirmed. There was a good amount of energy leaving her body while she was in the air. And landing on the ground seemed to close a valve as the energy no longer flowed out.
But when she landed she went straight for Zam, obviously the two majins shared something of a bond. Aaand he also realized that while Zam was not the strongest in his eyes, neither was Nal and they could very well be called strong when comparing the two. To Bryce.. well his ability to sense energy, without letting anyone sense him, or his 'tingle', told him that while he had been steadily improving, Zam had been.. on almost the same level as before. It brought a smirk to the face of the mandroid as he turned to face the majin he actually did like right now.
He listened to her story about people being kidnapped, and that maybe there would be a reward to be had if they stopped the kidnapping. Now, without being told who exactly they were, Bryce agreed. But if he knew who had been doing the kidnapping he might have thought twice. So maybe Nal was leaving that part out on purpose. Though he wasn't quite sure it wasn't all just a game to the majin who basically just cared about candy. Though he had never even asked hoow she felt about money. Power, that she wanted that, that was a given from their last training together. But Bryce feared that the reason they both wanted power was differing quite a bit, seeing as the mandroid wanted more to just be able to end the threats against him, no matter if the person uttering them was good or bad.
His fists slammed together, which was also something he hadn't been thinking of. Almost as if something or someone had taken control of his muscles, or systems. ''I am up for it!'' Bryce replied when she asked what everyone though. But between Zam, Cade and even Nal he wasn't sure how easy it would be, not knowing how organized this kidnapping was and who they were working for. So he decided to be the first to ask a few questions, his fists now crossed over his chest. ''What could you sense from them, did they have a lot of power? What did they look like?'' He asked as he looked over in the direction Nal pointed. He couldn't start sensing them now since they would probably be too far, so while Nal could, she could also answer questions. ============== TWC: 3367

The pink Majin’s hopping and waving ended in a tacklehug heavy enough to crack the ground. “Eep~!” A playful squeak accompanied the impact. Good thing neither of them had anything to break. Of course she returned the gesture, squeezing her friend tightly. “Is nice to see you again!” It may have been hard to believe such bubbly and bouncy creatures were mystical destroyers... Well, maybe Cade could believe it. He had seen what the little powerhouse could do when she was running rampant. Luckily, she was much too happy about meeting her friend to start any trouble. For now...
While Nal explained the situation, Zam slooowly cocked her head. As if that would help her understand better. The golden gaze glimmered with curiosity. A puff of steam rose above her head and twisted into a question mark. Puzzling... Fortunately the fellow Majin didn’t use any big and difficult words, allowing the child to follow along. ...Erm, mostly. She didn’t really get how doing something good would get them nice stuff. If she liked something, she could just take it, right? Right!
Finally the short-haired Majin’s expression brightened. She pumped her fists. An enthusiastic whistle of steam rustled her hair. “Okay!” Beating up people who were not friendly? She could do that! And she knew exactly where to start... “Let’s start with Mister Tiny Tingle!” The suggestion was accompanied by a sharp point at the android. “He’s a cheater, jerk and total meanie!” The cheery, chiming tone was kind of mismatched against the dark intentions behind it. Oh yes, even the scatterbrained girl knew how to hold a grudge. Alone she hadn’t stood a chance... But with Nal’s help they could totally beat him up! She directed an excited and expectant stare at her friend, obviously thinking that the gray girl would agree.

Cade watched Nal come down and land before them and shook his head, "That is quite a trick there, Nal. Would have been real useful-like when we were looking for the Fist, wouldn't it?" Cade's mind raced with the possibilities of being able to fly; he thought about how he might be able to accomplish it for himself. If he could use his ki too... not now. It was something to think about another time. He watched with narrowed eyes as the other majin, Zam, approached Nal. It was with some trepidation that he remembered now that Zam and Nal were the same species... which meant Nal was a demon. Was Nal going to end up like Zam, marauding over farming villages? Or would Nal be able to spin Zam into a decent being? At least the pink demon spawn seemed amenable to hunting down these kidnappers Nal had informed them of. It made his skin itchy to be working with her though... at least Bryce was honorable enough in his way even if he did have a fiery temper. When Zam suggested starting by beating up Bryce, Cade stepped up by Bryce's left side and crossed his arms.
He spoke loudly, "I believe she is talking about the kidnappers, demon, though if you want to take issue with Bryce, I shall take his side. You won't find me as easy to pummel any longer. I will work with you... reluctantly if you can control yourself and I can save people by doing so." He watched the maijin for any reaction, ready to spring into action if he had to. He leaned slightly towards Bryce and in a low voice said, "The pink one is really strong... I have seen her destroy villages. If they attack, we'll split and come at them from both sides... though I hope it doesn't come to that, I consider Nal kind of a friend."

The gray one looked between the three... confused. They knew eachother, for sure. But they didn't seem to like eachother much... she wondered why. Quick enough, the gray girl stood between the people, sideways to them all, with a grin. "Hey now! Don't go beating my friends up and since you're all my friends, we will beat things up together, right? I know he's real dumb hard to hit, Zam. I tried." the majin winced, still remembering the painfully sluggish fight as it was, barely able to dent the technoman to her side... then again, Zam was also frustratingly hard to damage. She wondered how the duel between the two had to look like... and shuddered at the thought of having to stand between them. It would probably end up with a gray stain on the sand trying to form itself back together frantically.
"I have a better target anyway! There were people... two, man and woman, wearing some silly, wide pants. And some tunics. Light and loose and white, but with that weird red butterfly on their shoulders. And I heard them talking about more people, I sensed where they were going and there are a lot there! Lots of enemies must be fun to fight, I think." - the majin then raised that one longer antenna on her back, turning it towards the direction she saw the red butterfly people leave towards... sensing, sensing... nodding. "That way, yes. And if we don't end up fighting eachother, I'll... uh... get us all a nice, big meal maybe! Like, a reward for being nice-ish to my friends." she said, then considered some more. "Also yes, if I could fly when looking for that Fist man, I would be way less scared of that big hole in the ground. I'm not at all now because I can just fly off of it."
Nal grinned, though behind that grin, in her head, wheels were turning and confusions rising. How did they all know eachother and why did all of them dislike Zam so much. And why did Zam dislike Bryce? He was grumpy, yeah, but at least fun. ...right?

When Zam mentioned she wanted to beat up Bryce and implied she wanted help with it, he instantly knew why. One on one hadn't gone well for her, maybe three on one would help her. Though it seemed that it was two on two at the very least, as Cade walked to stand next to the mandroid and whispered a strategy, though there was also audible hope that it wouldn't come to a fight because he saw Nal as a friend. Honestly, Bryce did the same, though Zam was making it increasingly difficult for him to keep his cool. So he decided to cross his arms over his chest and just stare intently at Zam for a moment.
That was when Nal stepped in and stopped the grudge war and halted people from taking sides. And it seemed to be working, for Bryce so anyway. The gray majin began answering his questions about what they wore, how many there were and where they were going. But she also mentioned something about- ''A red butterfly..?'' Bryce repeated as he did his best to ignore Zam standing behind Nal as he drew closer himself. He wondered what kind of butterfly was red, when it suddenly dawned on him that maybe like a tingle with Zam, a butterfly with Nal was something she couldn't quite describe.
But what in this world looked like a red butterfly? Certain ties, maybe.. ''Where there.. letters in this butterfly?'' He asked, because if there were he knew what it was.
The same people that made him who he was today, and then he realized that if he was right, maybe Zam and him would have a shared goal. And so he looked past the gray majin and right into the eyes of the pink one. ''Maybe.. you want to hurt the people that made me?''
It was a long shot, but if he was right Zam could distract them while Bryce could look through all the paperwork they had. Besides, Nal wouldn't intervene because of the kidnapping. Right?
..right? ============ TWC: 4659

Much to the meaner Majin’s confusion, her kind-hearted buddy didn’t immediately leap at the chance to beat the meanie. Her brow furrowed when Mister Funny Hair sided with the cheater too. His words were met with immediate protesting. “Zam is not a demon!” She patted her own chest insistently, punctuating the words. “Zam is a Majin, is what Zam is!” She underlined her clearly important and relevant point with the maturity one could expect. By blowing a raspberry at him. “Blblblblblb!” Needless to say, trying to argue with her would be like trying to wrestle with a wet bar of soap. She had come here to play with her friend and not with some big bullies! But if the weird man wanted to get punched too, then...
Luckily, Nal stepped in before the powder keg could explode. Zam lowered her fists, directing a puzzled stare at her friend. “Mister Tiny Tingle and Mister Funny Hair are your friends...?” Hm, nope, didn’t make any sense to her. Many things didn’t. Still, she at least stopped to listen. The mention of lots of enemies tickled her curiosity. Her pale horns wiggled towards the pointed direction, feeling out what eyes couldn’t see. “Ooh, definitely that way.” Finally her expression brightened. Fighting and food? Two of her favorite things! She immediately chimed in agreement. “Okay! Then I’ll help Nal!” Aaand only Nal. Because they were friends. Having lived among monsters and actual demons, she didn’t quite grasp the concept of ‘a friend of my friend’.
When Mister Tiny Tingle spoke up, the pink menace slooowly cocked her head. One could almost imagine the mental gears turning... turning... turning... Until she blinked. “...Made you what?” The comment was flat and blunt, like a bop from a rolled up newspaper. Nope, she really didn’t get it. Still, she had already made up her mind about fighting the weird butterfly people. Nal asking nicely... Aaaand the mention of food... Had been the only motivation the easily swayed girl needed. Someone was getting punched today!

Cade looked to Nal and shrugged, "Sorry, if you had seen what... but we'll pickle that cucumber when the time is right. The people being held against their will are more important. For now." He eased back into a more relaxed stance and listened to Bryce say something about these being the people who... made him? He was kinda confused by that. He took out a piece of jerky, then a few more and offered them to anyone who wanted one, and began to thoughtfully chew on the strip of beef. He made a low considering sound and looked to the larger man thinking of how to breach a potentially delicate subject, "Sooo.... made ya as in your mom and dad worked for them or are you like a clone or a secret robot or something?" Diplomacy was probably not Cade's strong suit. He eyed Bryce carefully looking for any protruding metal or obvious signs of robot hood. You could never tell... maybe he was just a robot on the inside...
He shook himself free of the loop his mind was putting itself into and shot the pink majin a dirty look for her comment on his hair. He pulled his hat down a little further self consciously. He relaxed the rest of the way when the destroyer decided she was going to help them. He would exact his revenge some time... but maybe letting the bear fight the cougar and do part of the work for you was all right when saving people's lives were on the line. "All right, if'n we aren't going to fight each other, let's go and track down these butterfly people and kick their ass. Can;t have them kidnapping folks around here." Cade started leading Boko the direction that the pink demon had pointed. He was willing to work with the one called Zam to accomplish this... but he hated himself a little for it. The blood of that small village was still staining her small pink hands as far as he was concerned, and one day soon he would call her to account for it.

The gray majin grinned. Everyone was working together! Sort of. She could still sense dislike between the technoman and Zam, and then Zam and the rider of the inedible bird - but she didn't really care much for that, what did matter was that they were out on an adventure, all of them! "He is a secret robot, yes! Well, not much a secret to us now, but he is. But yes, let's go! As fast as we can, towards these guys. Before more guys get kidnapped and stuff happens. Just follow me!" - she said, then reached out to grab Zam - and burst off into the air! Aiming to carry the pink majin with her, in a moment of lucid thinking, deciding that it will accomplish two things: One, keep everyone from getting themselves into a fight and; Two - amuse Zam by showing her how awesome flight is! Nal kept flying and, while fast - she definitely wasn't that far ahead of the people stuck on foot (or ostrichback) purely because she still loved showing off and kept making various pirouettes, loop-de-loops and other airborne tricks, for the amusement of both herself and Zam - assuming she didn't just squirm free, of course. Nal would definitely not want to hold that pink powerhouse against her will! --------------------------------------------------------------
Way ahead of the party of adventurers, there was a compound. Secret, hidden within a cliff range near the mountains. Guarded by three men and a large machine - looking a lot like a robot that pirates used back in the olden days, with an elongated head and an open maw full of fangs. Except instead of skulls and crossbones, it had a clear Red Ribbon symbol painted atop it - although the letters R were reversed, to signify the rebellion against the stabilised main branch that largely went clean and - in opinions of some - tamed. Within the complex, behind a maze of corridors, two people were dragging an unconscious man - and one of them, the woman, had gotten a strange, foreboding sense of dread. She decided to dump this newly acquired subject and take off - her gut feelings always were right and right now - they were telling the woman to flee. And soon she would.

Zam’s attention zipped back and forth while the others conversed. The words flowed in one ear and out the other, like a river turning a water wheel. Stray streaks of steam were rising from her overheating head. Slowly but surely her eyes were starting to spin, spin, spin... Pickle cucumber secret robot butterfly kidnapping... By the end of the explanation, her eyes were replaced with two swirling spirals. Ugh... Dizzy... She was in the opinion that there was way too much talky and not enough punchy. While she wasn’t even vaguely aware of the real problem here, she firmly believed she knew the solution to it. Punching! It solved everything.
Luckily, before the pink Majin could put her frustration into words, -or actions more like- the gray friend snatched her to the skies. “Eep!” The startled squeak soon turned into jubilant glee. “Wheeeee~!” It really was the most effective way to keep the powerhouse distracted. She completely forgot the beef she had with the others. ...Aaand also that they even existed. But maybe it was better that way. Every twirl, trick and stunt was met with excited giggling and shouting. “Higher~! Faster~! Do a loopyloop!” Everybody loved the loop-de-loop. She didn’t even think about squirming free. Instead, what little brainpower she had left was spent wondering if she could do this flying thing too... Hopefully no one would tell her. The truth would break her heart.
As the destination approached, the giggling girl’s horns wiggled. Her attention was drawn down towards a certain cliff. Was that...? Excitedly she pointed. “Oooh, look down there! It’s... a thing!” She squinted and let out a pensive hum. Suddenly her features cracked into a sharp grin. “Nyeh hee~! Hey, Nal... Wanna see something COOL?” Oh yes, it was exactly what it sounded like. She took aim, pointing her palm towards the cliff and splaying her fingers. A massive surge of energy started coursing along her arm. Unstable sparks crackled around her. The raw ki gathered into a glowing orb, about the size of a cannon ball. If Nal didn’t stop her, quickly, something would soon go boom.

After it became clear it was going to be quite some ways to go, Cade swung up onto Boko and nudged the bird into a ground eating pace. Every once in a while he glanced up and looked towards Nal, sweeping through the air with no more effort than it took to run. He felt a desire to learn how to do it for himself; it would be a fine thing to be able to zoom through the air like a bird. Stories from his youth had told tales of the Z fighters flying through the sky like that. He had tried to learn how... but he couldn't quite seem to figure it out. He thought he had almost figured something out a week ago when he felt his body get lighter for a moment, but that was as much as he had been able to accomplish.
He brought himself back into the moment and realized that Bryce had wandered off somewhere. He wondered if he had passed him while he was dazed or if the thought of facing his creators had been too much. Either way, Cade wished him well as he reached the base and saw the pink maijin, Zam, suspended in the air and gathering her power to unleash her exploding ball of Ki. He could hear her voice from their first meeting almost as if it was right in his ear... "Hey Mister... you wanna see something neat? He shook his head to dismiss the image and voice and hopped down off of Boko, finding a nice shady rock outcropping to tether her too. He patted her soft feathers and said, "Take it easy, ol' girl. Gotta go whoop some ass, I reckon." Turning back to the action at hand he started running down towards the entrance, taking in the enemies before him... there were some people and... some kind of big robot thingy. He figured it couldn't be much meaner than that dinosaur he had taken down with Bass and Keeryou. He paused before descending, waiting on the pink maijin to unleash her blast. If he was going to fight these people he certainly didn't want to start the fight by getting blown up by her. Taking a deep breath he prepared to leap into battle and disable to robot as quickly as possible.
