Cade had always loved watching the snow and ice of the Winter Events on TV. He had never really seen any snow growing up as he had practically on the doorstep of the Southern deserts. He was going to fix that this year however, somehow an invitation to participate in the Oolong City Word Wide Winter Event! He packed some new pants and his first ever winter coat and toboggan. He left the small house where he had grown up and waved back at his dad, "Watch for me on TV, paw. I'm gonna teach them folks that no one works harder than a Kendrick. I'll have that ice carved and ready to judge before the others figger out what they want to do." He hefted his suitcase and ran out to the edge of town, calling out to all the folks he knew to tune in and cheer him on to victory. He made it to the edge of town and found the chopper waiting for him. He hopped in and settled in, excited that he also got to fly for the first time. How could this get any better? First flying then snow and ice all in one day; it was a holiday miracle indeed. RCxfOKqC1d100[207/207] Celerai1d100

The Saiyan got up, excited for the big day, as he is going to the Oolong City World Wide Event. It all started when Celerai came from work, tired. He got into the apartment but before this, while climbing the stairs, the front desk attendant said "Uhh, Celerai there is a mail for you."The Saiyan knew that there wasn't anyone that normally send him mails, which caused him to be confused. "Do you know who sent it?""No. I just left the front desk for a few minutes to use the bathroom and when I came back, this was there." "Huh? Anyways hand it over."After collecting the envelope, he instead took the elevator. When he got into his room, he didn't read it until he took a bath and got ready for bed. Ok, lets see what this is.He opened the envelope and he started reading what was inside of it. "An invitation, huh."The expression on his face showed that it was something extremely pleasant. "1,000,000 zeni! Shared between two competitors! This is awesome!"He thought about all the things he could do with that 500,000 zeni. But then something struck him. Who will I go with? The first person that came to mind was Kinryu Kyto but then Celerai realized that he doesn't have his number to contact him. He tried calling Mai-Mai but couldn't get through to her. I should probably just go to sleep. When I get to the venue, I could find someone without a partner and then ask them if they would like to work with me.
That was the only option for him at the moment, especially since he was tired. In the afternoon, about 1, he was in his apartment. He still didn't hear anything from Mai-Mai but was still excited about going to the event. He got a few stuff in his suitcase which he recently bought, in case anything like this comes up. He already got dressed in his normal green and black gi with white baggy pants. "I need to get to the pick up spot before two."
He stepped out of his room and took the elevator to get downstairs. "Good morning." "Good morning Celerai." "Just so you know, I'll be out maybe for a few days." "Ok. I'll just note that. Have a safe trip." "Thank you."When he got out got outside the building, he started walking, but not fast, because the place where he was going, wasn't far from where he is. Nothing really happened that got his attention while, he walked down the half busy road. The Saiyan walked for about twenty five minutes and finally reached the pick up spot. It was near the beach, so it had sand and palm trees. After a few minutes, Celerai heard a noise from above. He looked up and realized that it was the helicopter that was supposed to pick him up. "Finally, it's here."From it, came a rope ladder and a woman that was in the chopper said "CELERAI, THIS IS A REPRESENTATIVE FROM THE OOLONG WINTER EVENT, PLEASE CLIMB THE LADDER!" He climbed the ladder with his suitcase in one hand. He threw it inside the helicopter so that he could get inside. After all this, the lady flying the helicopter said "Ok, so as you know, I will be giving you a lift to the venue." "Yes, I know. Shall we leave?""Yes, sure thing, the earlier, the better." She flew off with Celerai looking outside the window. WC: 592 nTtHqdXD1d100darthlunchbox 1d100

The chopper ride was quite enjoyable though it was very loud; Cade was able to watch the desert and mountains drift quickly by from a view that had been out of his grasp so far. He had heard that some people were able to gain enough power to defy gravity and actually fly themselves with not plane or chopper or nothing. He wondered what it would feel like to be out of this chopper and just drifting in the winds for himself... Cade daydreamed most of the way to Oolong City, that is until the snow and ice became prevalent. He bounced in his seat with barely bound anticipation like a little kid looking in the window of a candy shop. The pilot must have seen his excitement, because her voice was colored with amusement as she announced, "We're coming in for our approach. Once we are touched down, unbuckle your seat belt and exit the chopper. Please be sure to keep your head low and move quickly, I have several more people to pick up. Oh, and good luck in the competition!" Cade smiled and gave the pilot the hand symbol for OK and waited for them to be safely on the ground once more.
Soon, the runners of the chopper had set down on the helipad and Cade quickly unbuckled, grabbed his pack and opened the door to slide out onto solid earth. He turned and slammed the door and then crouched, turning back around and headed towards the edge of the landing pad. Once he was there, he was met by a stuffy looking and officious sounding fellow who held up a hand to stop Cade as he interrogated, "Hold on there, young man. Do you have an invitation to participate in the games?" He held out his hand impatiently, obviously bored from this routine already. Cade reached inside of his coat pocket and pulled out the invitation, presenting it to the officious man. He sighed and examined the invitation, turned it over and looked at the back, then turned it back over as he reached into his pocket and brought out a small cube of ice and pressed it against the sheet. The sheet made a low musical tone and changed color from white to blue where the ice touched it. The man nodded and handed it back to Cade, "Welcome to the Oolong City Winter Spectacular. Proceed to the stadium behind me and find a partner if you haven't already. The event starts tonight so you are going to need plenty of time to make a plan to try to pull of a miracle... I mean try to win. Good Luck Mr. Kendrick."
Cade took the paper back and started walking through the snow towards the stadium. It was odd... he had never really though snow would crunch and squeak like it did under his shoes. He made his happily crunching way to the stadium and began looking around at the people gathered there - a lot of them seemed to be grouped up already. He made a low hmmm.... sound and began slowly wandering through the crowd, looking for anyone who looked like they weren't grouped up yet. If he had too he would do this by himself... but he had no earthly idea how.

Celerai has never actually been in an aircraft. In the village, he had to walk by foot get where he wanted to, and if you could afford it, you could have an old donkey. Celerai's family couldn't afford a donkey. Celerai looked at the city through the window, that quickly became smaller in his eyes, the farther he went from it. After this, it was just the vast blue sea that was in sight. Not long after, Celerai fell asleep after this blocked out almost all of the noise on his way.
"CELERAI, WAKE UP, WE'RE HERE!"
"Hmm, huh?"
Celerai flew up, as he was frightened by the shouting.
"I was saying we are here, and we can leave now."
"Oh."
The saiyan said while rubbing his eyes.
"So let's go then."
"Yeah, sure thing."
They came out of the helicopter and Celerai walked up to the gate with his suitcase.
"Good afternoon sir, invitation please."
He handed over the invitation to the security guard.
"Ok, here you go sir, you can go inside."
"Thanks."
When he got in, he saw a big crowd.
"Hmm, seems like they already have a partner."
Celerai proceeded to walk around to see if there was anyone who seemed like they didn't have a partner. After walking around for a few minutes, he saw a man dressed in a winter jacket and black pants. He was standing behind the crowd looking around as if he is lost.
"Well, he looks like a participant, let's see."
He walked up to the man from behind and tapped him on his shoulder.
"Hey uhh… My name is Celerai and I am looking for a partner, and I was wondering if you want to work with me."

Cade turned and saw a young saiyin fella asking if he wouldn't mind partnering up; grinning he held out his hand to the younger guy and said, "Pleased to meetcha, Celery. I am Cade, and it just so happens that I don't have a partner yet... so put her there, partner." He shook the young man's hand and then stood there for a second before he launched into talking again, "So where you from, Celery? I'm from the Southlands, my own self. Son of a farmer, but I took up martial arts to protect the people down there from demon folk..." Cade companionably talked to his new partner as they waited to be let into the arena. After only 10 minutes or so, the officials started waving people in to find their positions.
He found the slab of granite with their ice block on it and waved Celerai over - "Here she is. You know anything about carving ice? I ain't never tried my hand at it, but I've been talking to some folks around here while I was waiting, I think I have a bit of an idea of how to go with it." He crossed his arms and looked at the available tools and compared them to what he had been told and started to get an idea of how to do this thing. Only know did it hit him... they needed something to carve! Duh, you big dummy He thought to himself and looked to his new partner, clearing his throat and said, "Well... what do you think we should carve? I kind of want to do something honoring a couple of the Z fighters... I'm partial to Krillin, myself. You have any ideas?" He rubbed his hands together to warm them up a bit and get his blood flowing while he grinned excitedly and waited for the answer to what they would be carving.

The Saiyan finally realized how awkward that was to go up to a random person to ask them a question. But the reaction of the human was surprising to Celerai, but at the same time, he was not so pleased when he mispronounced his name. Cade seemed to be friendly to Celerai when he greeted him with a handshake. He didn't have a partner, so they both agreed on working together. Since the official thing didn't started as yet, they tried to kill some time by getting to know each other.
"Yes, I'm from the South, I lived in a village when I was young. Oh yeah, there were farmers in the village. My dad used to help them because he was the one that is normally at home with me. Anyways, a martial artist tutored me when I was eighteen. I rather not to state the name. It was pretty good there. Now I'm the man I am."
They were talking to each other as if they were already good friends. After about ten minutes, the conversation got interrupted when the officials call everyone inside the arena to get ready for the competition. Celerai wasn't really paying attention when Cade walked off. His back was turned to the arena. When he turned back around, Cade was already around the table, waving to the Saiyan, indicating that he should be over there. The Saiyan walked over to Cade and he showed Celerai the ice block that they were supposed to carve.
"I have never done this before. The most I've before was to watch the guys in the village doing it and they seem to be really good at it."
It was pretty obvious that Cade didn't know what to do when he crossed his arms and started to look at the tools given to them. He finally broke his silence, telling Celerai about what he would like to carve from the ice.
"Hmm…. Yeah we can do Krillin."
They both got wait for the officials gave them the go ahead to start. Celerai cracked his knuckles and rubbed his palms together.
"Ok, let's do this, Cade."

Cade studied the tools for a few more moments before he finally shrugged and picked up the largest hammer and chisel and looked around at some of the other teams at work. He studied how they were holding the chisel against the ice to get the most shape for their work and all the ice shavings flying around. He tapped his chin thoughtfully and ran from the work aread for a few minutes before returning with a bottle full of red liquid. He sat it on the tool bench and then turned to their block of ice and started trying the techniques he had watched for himself. He roughed out Krillin's legs and then moved up and started working on his torso, then arms and head, getting the rough shape of all set into place. He turned to Celery and said, "Tell you what, bud. You work on cleaning up the bottom part and I'll do the face and arms." Cade returned the big chisel and picked up the small detail pick. Carefully he scraped and shaped Krillin's hairless head and nose less face set in a determined look. The shape was over all pretty good, he thought, but he might have lost something around the eyes... Still he had done as well as he could there. He made 6 divots n his forehead to represent the dots Krillin had rocked on his head and moved down to the arms.
He scooped a bunch of the ice up and poured some of the cherry snow cone syrup on it before starting to munch happily on the sweet treat. He would shake the bottle at Celerai and show him what he had done if the saiyan wanted any. After his little snack break, he went back to work. The arms were a bit more straight forward, and Cade was better able to start shaping them to his liking. The lines maybe weren't quite right, but they were pretty good for a novice ice carver, if he did say so himself. And he did. He got down to the hands and carved them into clenched fists... which made it a bit easier since he didn't have to carve out all the details for the fingers that he might have needed to. He stood back and stared at the statue thoughtfully... it was probably about as good as he was going to get it as far as rough details went. He took the polishing cloth and set about buffing the Z fighters huge dome of a head. It wasn't really super hard work, but it was sure time consuming. Soon he had the whole rounded dome polished to a fine sheen - really it was probably the best work he had done on the whole sculpture. He looked down at Celerai and asked, "How's it going down there, bud? How far away are we from done?"

Cade decided to go first. Celerai wasn't exactly sure of what to do but he looked at Cade while he was looking at the tools that were given to them and looking at what the other participants were doing.
Mmph. He's also looking around to see what the others are doing.
After a few moments, Cade picked up the biggest hammer and the chisel. But, for some reason he ran from the working area.
Huh, where is he going?
A few minutes, he came back with a bottle of red liquid. The Saiyan was no longer puzzled as to why he went for so long. Cade left it on the tool bench and started working on the piece. He roughed out Krillin's legs and immediately started to do his torso, after which his arms and head. Not long after, they had the full base of what they were going to work on. It was time to add in the details now. But before that, Cade told Celerai that the saiyan should clean up the bottom and add in the details while he will deal with the upper body.
"Ok, I'll do that."
Celerai realized that it was going pretty good. Cade laid down the chisel and picked up a small pick that he will use to start adding in the details. He started with his face. He carved out his bald headed figure and his face, which didn't seem to have a nose. The eyes weren't done as perfect as the other features, but it still didn't look too bad. He didn't forget to add the 6 dots that is originally on Krillin's forehead. It was finally the time to carve out his arms, but Case decided to take a break. Cade scooped up some ice and and added some cherry snow cone syrup on it. Celerai looked at it, and at that point, he really wanted to have some. Cade started to munch on the snow cone and then a few moments after, he shook the bottle in front of Celerai's face to show that he was asking if the Saiyan wanted any.
"Ya, ya, sure. I'd love to have some." Celerai took the bottle from Cade and added some of the syrup on some of the ice and munched on it. As he did, his face had a expression of comfort. When he finished his little snow treat, he started to observe what Cade was doing again. He started to carve the Krillin's arms. It seemed pretty easy, seeing as how Cade was doing it, as he knew it already. He carved the clenched fist, which was also easy because he wouldn't have to put in all the details for the fingers. He stepped back a little bit, observing the statue with Celerai. Celerai shook his head in agreement, looking at the masterpiece they have created. To add the finishing touch to the upper body, Cade polished it's head and that was it. He turned to Celerai and asked if it would be long before it would be finished.
"Uhh, about a few more minutes with me cleaning up the lower body. I'm sure it won't take much time. Let me finish it up now."
The Saiyan went in front of the statue and started examining it before starting. Since the lower body was already roughed out, he just had the details to put in and it would be finished. He started by adding the Martial Arts belt. It wasn't to hard, as it was just merely a few lines. Then came the hardest part, the baggy pants that Krillin wears. There were a lot of detail needed to pull that of.
"Here goes…"
He started at the back, adding in those lines that shows that it is baggy. It wasn't as easy as others would think, because one wrong line and it wouldn't look like how it's soppused to. Celerai's fingers started to shake a little but still managed to pull it of after about twenty minutes of adding the extra grooves that were needed.
"Is this okay, Cade. I hope I didn't do anything wrong."
He examined it and realized that it wasn't too bad and just polishing it would make it look proper. He the proceeded to carve the last thing, his shoes. First he carved out the outline of of both of his shoes and smoothened it out a little. There wasn't anything much left to do that to add the string which is supposed to be tied around both if the boots at the ankle. It was rather easy, but also time consuming, especially since it was pretty small. He took his time to shave the little lines with the pick, so that it would have the look of a little piece of rope. Celerai then looked at Case and said
"So… How is it?"
He turned his attention back to the statue and started to polish the rest of it.
"And… voila!"
It was was finally finished and and Celerai turned and looked at Case and said
"Well we're done. High Five partner."
He raised his hand in the arm to give Cade a high five.
"But hey, we still have some time left. We should probably examine it a little and see if we can add anything more to it."
Celerai turned around and started to look at the statue closely.

Cade gave Celery a high five and turned to look at the icy likeness they had crafted of Krillin. He grabbed up more of the ice shavings as he studied their work and casually poured some of the bright red syrup onto them. He munched thoughtfully... they probably really couldn't carve it much better and trying might mess up what good they had done... He looks at the red ice in his hand and snapped his fingers on his other hand, "I got an idea! Let's rough the ice on his Gi up... this is gonna be pretty cool!" Cade used some sandpaper to star roughing the surface of the gi up, making little rough spots in the ice that could catch... syrup. He carefully applied the cherry snow cone syrup to each roughed up patch, making sure not to let any spill down where it wasn't supposed to be. It... actually looked pretty good. The cherry syrup wasn't quite the color of Krillin's normal wear... but it looked striking against the clear ice of his features. He started roughing up the rest of the gi, working with Celerai to get it down as quickly and well as possible. They got his body done first, then his left leg and right leg. Cade knelt down and lightly sanded laces into his boots and then colored them, drop by drop taking more care than he usually took even when training, caught up in the moment. He finally hopped up, finished and gazed upon their creation. Krillin stood there in his red gi, looking determined and powerful.
He puffed his chest out with pride and turned to look around at the other people's work. Some of it was good - really good. Some he thought theirs was better than... but really he was happy just to have finished it and worked on something that was important to him. A flash of red hair caught his eye... and jogged his memory. He ran a few steps up and saw it was Beruto! He flagged him down, "Hey, buddy, haven't seen you in a while, Happy Holidays." He held out the bottle of cherry snow cone syrup, now only about a quarter of the bottle remaining, to Beruto, "Here, throw this on some of your ice shavings and eat 'em, you won;t regret it. Good luck, pal, maybe we'll meet up later!" He slapped Beruto on the back in farewell and stepped back to his partner.
"I knew that fella, name's Berrytoe. We fought in a little city tournament once. Nice guy, you should try to meet him some time." He stood by his green coated partner and waited for the jusging as he thrust his gloved hands deep in his pocket. This had been fun... but it was blasted cold out here. I mean how did people live like this anyway?
