Cade made his way through the crowded streets of Central City, stopping occasionally to look at a piece of paper and consult the directions he held there. He finally turned onto west Gohan street and found his destination - the Golden Fist Dojo. It was a grand name for such a run down looking place, but if rumors were to be believed, people with real strength came here to test themselves against each other. He slung his pack up to a more comfortable position as he checked the street for traffic and jogged across to the building. He opened the worn wooden door and stepped inside to a dim interior. The floor was well maintained wooden slats and in the center was a well lit fighting area. There were seats all around the ring as if people spectated here sometimes. There was an older Saiyan standing nearby smoking a cigar, the ivory smoke wreathed him in an aromatic burning small. He looked Cade up and down, assessing him before asking, "You here for... serious fights?"Cade nodded his head mutely and the man nodded knowingly. "Go on back to the hall on the right, take the second door on the left. You can get ready there. Just come back out when you're ready, more people should be showing up any time now."Cade followed the man's directions and found an old and out of date locker room; though it was fairly clean. He opened his pack and quickly changed out of his street clothes to his new training outfit. It was a simple jade green gi with a black belt; however there were weights hidden throughout the outfit to make his training more intense. Just what he needed to boost his power. He pulled his lucky jaguar claw out and placed it around his neck, then belted his newly acquired sword onto his waist. He looked into the mirror and adjusted his gi a bit and then turned to go back out to the ring. He strode out on the mat and began warming up with the heavy bag. He gave it a few easy punches, letting his muscles warm up and feeling the blood flow. He got a little too excited and let a roundhouse kick go; his leg darn near tore the bag in half. It swayed brokenly as he picked it up so a maintenance man could come out and tape it. He looked around while standing there, looking to see if anyone had come in to fight yet.... He was eager to test his new skills. BATTLE TRACKER

Not really knowing what was next for him, nor having anything planned, Bryce just roamed the city and the surrounding areas to find stuff to do. Actually, there was a certain something he was looking for. That fight with Savina, it felt like a whole lot more and he'd acquired a taste for hitting things all over again. Slowly his years as a monk trained to restrain himself in such situations failed him as he now actively looked to relive that moment once more, even if with someone else.
And it seemed his bad habits were being taken care of by some unseen force, as he mindlessly wandered into a street with a dojo in it. And there seemed to be a lot of fighting going on in there today, if the people around the city were to be believed. They all spoke of something called free entry or something. Not that the word 'free' meant anything of importance to Bryce, but he still walked in if only due to the promise of fights.
Once inside, he would instantly see someone standing in the middle of a ring holding up a torn punching bag. And the guy was in an odd outfit too, not that Bryce was one to mention due to his own style; no shirt, giant tattoo and baggy pants, with huge metal boots underneath. But this guy was dressed oddly for even a custodian, which was what Bryce assumed this guy was.
Quickly he focused on something else though, like the man not inside of the ring who was in the process of blowing out a puff of smoke. Stellar. ''You can use one of the changin' rooms if you're-''
The man started to speak, but Bryce stepped toward the ring before anything could happen, and he made his way over the ropes with a deft jump, cutting off the man with the cigar as he moved to one of the corners.
''Fix your ring, and then fix me a fight.'' =============== WC: 334 yUs3QjvV1d1001d100

Cade turned to eye the newcomer as he hopped into the ring. He was a biggun' as they would say back home. He towered over Cade's own 5'7" frame and had wild long black hair; he was only half dressed with a chest tattoo prominently showing as he eyed Cade and challenged him to a fight. He waited patiently for the mousy little maintenance to finish taping the heavy bag up while he extended his senses out to the man standing before him; he was pretty strong. A worthy opponent to test myself against. He rolled the heavy bag out of the ring as the man finished taping it up, "You can hang it back up later. I don;t think it will stay in one piece long if you leave it in here, man." He straightened and walked over to where the man stood waiting, impassive. He spoke as he neared, "You got a name, bud? I'm Cade." He stopped a few steps away and looked him up and down looking at his stance and the way he moved. He nodded to himself and dropped into an relaxed fighting stance, standing with his left side toward Bryce with his left arm extended out and right arm cocked back; his toes on his left foot pointed straight ot his opponent while his right foot was horizontal. Cade looked and felt perfectly balanced and ready for combat. He smiled at his opponent and called out, "Allright, I'm game. Let her rip tater chip."
Cade reached down inside of himself to his power and suppressed it down to about half of what it usually was. Time to see if this fella was as tough as he was makin' himself out to be. He felt his heart starting to beat faster in anticipation; it had been a while since he had tested himself and he was curious to see how far he had come.

As he turned to the man speaking at him was surprised that the janitor of this place would fight him. Not much of a challenge, but at least the clothing made sense now. He proceeded to roll the sandbag out of the ring claiming it wouldn't last long in there, and because of that very statement Bryce figured this guy knew how strong he was, or maybe he held something back; or was planning to. A smirk was seen from the Mandroid as he stepped forward a bit, he wasn't going to go as far as to keep his strength hidden from anyone, but he wouldn't look down on those forcing him to draw it to the surface. Wasn't that what sparring was about? The fact Bryce didn't take part in it was his own choice. ''Bryce.'' He answered simply as his systems started to do their thing thinking about how they assumed this man before him, Cade, would respond to things. But he wasn't too impressed just yet, not even by this stance. At least Bryce had been told a name, which was something his first ever spar after being awakened didn't do, so there was at the very least one thing this guy excelled at. Well, two things, he looked the part of a fighter, even if his very body and way he talked screamed that he was not one. ''Tater.. chip?'' He repeated as those very words kept him from dropping into a fighting stance once more, even when the man in front of him dropped into one that reminded him of his time back at the temple. Wait, this style, this stance.. ''Are you a martial artist?'' He asked mainly because the last one he fought made for a really fun fight. ================== WC: 296 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 0 time(s) for 0 damage!

Cade grinned at the man's seemingly confused monotone of his slang; maybe this fella would be up for some learning outside of the ring too. He answered with humor in his voice, his twanging accent coloring the words, "Yeah, Let'er rip tater chip, let's go sloppy joe, Get this party started, whatever you wanna say. Let's fight. I am a martial artist, but you probably never heard of us. Jaguar School, from down by the southern Demonlands way. We can talk more after if'n you want to."
Cade decided to start off with a simple combination of kicks and punches to see how the man moved in combat, two quick jabs and a roundhouse that would impact the man's face if he wasn't alert.
He stepped back and nodded in approval; this man was a warrior indeed. Now it was time to take his own advice and Let'er rip! He suffused his body with ki and let out a wordless yell... "AHHHHHH!" before he flickered from site to be beside the android and punched at his right cheek, then to the other side, then to the front, 5 times he flcikered, ki laced punches exploding with blinding blue light as the struck at his opponent's face. This started out to be like his very first fight, just someone claiming to be a martial artist before going around to try and talk him into submission. But when the whole talking bit f this man ended and he mentioned something about a jaguar school, he also mentioned something that sounded like a very good thing to Bryce. To talk after the spar they were about to have if he wanted to do so. Maybe.. because of that this guy wouldn't be so bad, his eye told him that the energy output of this man was far below his own, and even below that of the others he'd sparred, but at least he wasn't the talkative type. ''Jaguar..?'' The mandroid repeated with a tilted head as he was forced to move from his spot, throwing up his arms to deflect the punches and kicks thrown at him with relative ease. There seemed to be an upside to this guy already; he wasn't verbally announcing his attacks. But it seemed that that was only a warning shot as he then seemed to flicker out of existence. Bryce took note, widened his eyes and instantly his head snapped from side to side, because maybe he's pop up somewhere else like he had been able to do himself just a while ago. Suddenly he felt a gust of air behind him, and as a response he would throw up his arms to deflect, and this same ordeal happened a few times before Bryce was able to walk away unscathed. He wondered though, was this all a test? Because if so, he should return the favor. With his arm snapping back to the last flicker he would aim a pushing palm to where he thought Cade would appear once more, before using the created distance, where it by dodging or something else, to jump up and aim a roundhouse kick at the chest of his sparring partner. ============= WC: 324 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 0 time(s) for 0 damage!

Cade was feeling frustrated at himself; in his excitement to get started he had been much too sloppy in his execution and failed to land any attacks. This fella was also quicker than a greased weasel avoiding his sloppy strikes with graceful ease. He was going to have to come in with his "A" game if he even wanted to touch this guy. As he came back to his starting position, the flickering ending, a palm was already snapping towards his face; he was able to lean to the side and avoid it without much trouble, the roundhouse kick that followed was much more vicious however. He tapped into his power and blurred as he ducked and spun under the kick. He took a breath or two to try and identify any key points to the man's style... so far nothing seemed to jump out at him. He had to keep his eyes open for any chance to press an advantage or at least prevent himself from giving too much of one. He whipped his leg at the man, launching a quick series of three kicks to knee, gut, head before he launched a flurry of punches at the mans head, fists flashing before the man's eyes. He settled back into a defensive position and called out, "Nice kick there Bryce, woulda' been a real ripper if it had landed." BATTLE TRACKERTurns Suppressed: 3

''Ripper. Sure.'' Bryce acknowledged as he kept his back turned at Cade after his roundhouse kick was dodged. A valiant effort, even if it was meant to be an easy dodge to start out with. This guy wasn't the only one to try and test his opponent, Bryce was doing the same by slowly upping his game during the course of the match. Sensing an incoming fist right then he ducked under it while leaning to the side, and as he did so he could almost feel a flurry of them incoming much like before. Though this time as he tried to dodge it by twirling to the side he did feel his arm get grazed, and even that stung a bit. It wasn't going to decommmission his arm, but it was enough for him not to want to get hit again. As he then continued twirling out of the way of the fists he would use the momentum to lower his entire body and go for a low sweep with his leg, aiming to knock Cade off balance. If Cade was then going to dodge his leg in some way, Bryce would swiftly throw forward the back of his hand and try to slam it against the sternum of the man. After that, he would get up and smile at Cade. ''Ripper.'' ============== WC: 223 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 1 time(s) for 10 damage! 10 dmg - 9 DR = 1 damage!

Cade felt a slight bit of satisfaction as he got a glancing blow; that quickly faded as his legs went out from under him and he started going ass over teakettle towards the mat. There was almost immediately a crushing blow to his chest that propelled him down to the ground. He rolled up to his feet pretty close to immediately, but the room was spinning a bit and he felt short of breath for a moment. He wheezed out a laugh as Bryce declared, it was a "Ripper" - "Yeah bud, that sure was a ripper. I'm gonna try to match that but don't know as I can. Let's see though."
Cade drew his sword and held it so he would strike with the flat.It was time to go all out... if he waited any longer this guy was going to stomp him into jelly. He suffused himself with ki once more and concentrated. This was pretty much all or nothing, if he didn't show something this time it would be kinda embarrassing. He readied himself for a longer burst this time... and flickered forward. He interspersed punches, pommel strikes and a few slaps with the flat of his sword, seeking to overwhelm his opponent with the sheer volume of attacks and the explosions of ki as he struck at his head and chest over and over. Finally he stopped, panting and stood ready to try to avoid his opponent's next effort...

Okay there was a sword involved, and not just for show. Like before, there was something with a sharp edge he would need to look out for, and he could feel himself getting angry over it, his calmness slipping away from his very being. And as Cade suddenly stood before him, Bryce failed to respond in time as he got a flurry of blows that hit finally. And instead of using the blade to strike, the pommel of the sword was slammed against him. But even as he felt himself being pummeled he could not shake the feeling of there being a sword involved, and so he powered through the flurry of blows and managed to ignore the pain inflicted already for long enough to dodge the second set of blows aimed at him. Once more, they involved the sword. Bryce could feel his blood starting to boil as he failed to graceously dodge, and instead made due with crude movements to avoid harm. ''Why.'' He started as he stepped back hard enough to make the floor of the ring buckle a slight bit. ''Does everyone use blades?!'' The mandroid yelled as the energy he didn't know how to use properly yet formed a kind of sheath around his fist as he stepped at Cade with anger in his eyes. ''Blades do not belong in a training match!'' He yelled, the sheath of energy around his hand turning into a sort of triangle shape, almost looking as if it held a sharp edge. And with a short yell, he unleashed a sdingle handed slash aimed right for the hand with which Cade was holding the sword, not once, but twice. ============ WC: 280 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 1 time(s) for 25 damage! 25 dmg - 5 DR = 20 damage!

Cade held his sword to the side the attack and saw a flash of rage come over the other fellas face Apparently Bryce had some sort of bad experience with swords in a spar before, because he was PISSED with a capital every letter. He came at Cade like a bull charging a matador, swigning some sword of energy blade he had formed around his fist. Cade's form blurred and he avoided all of the slashes, parrying the last one with his sword and flourishing back to a ready stance, "For someone who don;t like blades, you're sure handy with them, Bryce. Wasn't going for blood, just getting used to the weight of it in battle."Cade sheathed the sword carefully and reached for some power to steady himself. His aura glowed briefly around his body, a subtle blue shimmer as he felt energy and power shooting into him. I guess I might as well double down and see if I can't get a few licks in on him. He flickered once again, hoping that this time his explosive ki punches would have some sort off effect on this taciturn warrior facing him. Flicker, strike, flicker, strike... it was almost dizzying. He came back to himself, starting to really feel edge towards exhaustion as he expended more of his ki. With his attacks failing and Cade calling out to him the hypocrisy in this whole situation, Bryce was pulled back into the realm of the rational people. He was right, for osmeone not liking swords he sure knew how to wield them, and the fact that he knew how to use them wasn't the problem here, rather the fact that he used one right after getting angry about people using them in sparring matches. And on top of that, Cade had mentioned it with a tone Bryce couldn't quite place, but it filled him with something akin to pity. But as he was going to turn to face Cade and mention his remorse about it all he found that his down time was taken advantage of by the man he was fighting. Flickering in and out of existence he knew this was the same technique as before, but like before he didn't know the direction of any attack until it was right at his face. Luckily he was still able to deflect all of the flickers without sustaining any damage himself. It still irked him though, even if he didn't get damaged at all. Taking advantage like that. Though he did suppose he had it coming, throwing a tantrum like that. Looking at Cade, the energy now slipping from his hand, he shrugged hoping that the man would understand he was sorry, before rushing forward to try and plant his open palm to the chin of his opponent, and following it up by trying to throw his free hand, with an opened palm, against the sternum of Cade. ============ WC: 268 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 0 time(s) for 0 damage!

Cade nodded back at the man as he dismissed his own blades. They seemed to have reached a mutual accord; Cade would honor it and not draw his weapon again. Cade bobbed away from the first strike the man sent towards him and had to take a darting half step and dip under Bryce's next blow. My turn again, big fella. Cade opened his spirit to more power; his aura flashed blue again, brighter that it had been for the moment. He quickly squatted down almost all the way to the floor and launched him self up in an explosive motion, launching an uppercut at Bryce's chin as he shot up from the floor. As he neared the apex of his flight, Cade twisted his body and launched a vicious spinning kick at the man's face; if it connected it would likely send him staggering back. Concentrating, cade started bring his limbs back to his body to gain his balance and to make himself a smaller target. He landed and immediately sought his balanced fighting stance, ready to dance out of the way of this man's vicious attacks again. If he couldn't win he hoped he could at least impress this fella that he didn't go down without a fight. BATTLE TRACKERPower level +25%: 2/2 Power level +25%: 1/2 Turns Suppressed: 0

This man did not hold strength, but he did have a tendency to keep standing, and for that Bryce would have to commend him. And on top of this tendency to keep standing was the fact that he just now dodged the strikes thrown his way, which was admirable. The strength difference was something worthy of notice with Cade coming out the weaker end, but to still be able to dodge as much as he did? Not to mention the fact that the second Bryce would throw his punches they would be dodged first and then instantly countered, as confirmed by the uppercut Cade threw. He wasn't able to dodge it and was sent quite a bit in the air because of it, though he did regain his senses in the middle of it and was able to see the kick coming. It sent him back to the ground, but where others would have been sent back several feet Bryce was able to slam his weight down onto the ground, anchoring him and preventing himself from moving too much. He looked up at Cade and smiled. ''Suppose it's my turn now then.'' Bryce uttered as he jumped up, spinning his body around as he aimed to deliver a spinning knee to the abdomen of his opponent, and then attempting to kick him away with a spinning flourish to the cranium. ================ WC: 230 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 1 time(s) for 5 damage! 5 dmg - 7 DR = 0 damage!

Cade let out a satisfied grunt as his punch landed, though it hardly seemed to do much to his opponent. His kick sailed wide as Bryce recovered and evaded it easily. Cade had to send his ki through his body to speed his reactions up as he saw Bryce's knee coming towards his midsection at alarming speed; as he darted to the side he was far enough out of position that the kick following the vicious knee was far off target. Once again he drew on the latent power around him and his aura flared... Better keep my strength up as much as I can... His aura flashed and he sent a high kick lined up at his opponent's jaw before he backed up and settled into a defensive stance. If he survived this next attack... he would have to try to go all out and see what he could really do against someone like Bryce; he would not always be equal in power to his opponent. Or ever it seemed like in his experience so far in his travels. He tried to catch his breath and kept a wary eye out for more sonic elbows or knees coming for him.
