Dust and sand billowed as the two Majins wrestled. Despite Zam’s best efforts to try and pin down someone several times her size, Nal inevitably broke free. Only the pink girl herself was surprised. “Eeh? So strong!” She took a short hop back and brought her fists up, itching to throw another punch. Before she could do anything though, the foe unsheathed a dangerous weapon. Against a soft, pliable body, a sharp blade proved devastating. It sliced clean through the small girl’s torso. A flash of steel was followed by a spray of purple. She staggered back weakly grasping the wound. “Wh-what...?” Her gaze trailed down on the dripping stain across her chest. Even her regeneration couldn’t staunch the bleeding. Shock and horror washed over her features. “My top!” ...Yes, because that was obviously the bigger problem here. She could fix herself, but not her clothes.
The ruined cloth fell softly to the ground. Small tears glimmered in the little Majin’s eyes. She could remember it just like it was yesterday... When she found this comfy tank top all alone on a clothesline... After she rescued it, they had traveled together for a whole day. Only to be sliced apart. Big girls didn’t cry... But she did. Even as she covered her features, soft sniffling trailed in the air. However, between the sobs another sound started rising from the girl. A faint whistle slowly growing stronger, reminiscent of a boiling teapot. Puffs of steam rustled her messy hair. Unstable energy crackled across her skin. As she wiped away the tears, the gentle gold in her gaze turned bloody red.
“Sniff... Hey... Wanna see something REALLY COOL...?”
Regardless of what the opponent answered to the ominous question, the chaotic creature was determined to show her anyway. She cocked her head and raised her right hand towards the skies. Her aura erupted into a bright blaze. Resembling a pink fountain, she fired a massive torrent of energy directly upwards. Even as her body sizzled beneath the sheer strain, she kept going. She wasn’t quite sure where she had learned this, but... It felt so right. Soon gravity grasped the energy, pulling it back down. It started off as a light drizzle, reminiscent of raining needles. Painful, sure, but not very destructive. Then it grew into an actual storm. A hail of bolts bombarding the area. Each one burned hot with her anger.

Nal grinned triumphantly, then blinked - as the shredded cloth started falling down onto the ground. Right... swords cut things, not only people. The gray girl frowned, since she didn't want to destroy her new friend's stuff! The inflated majin looked over, frowning sadly just like Zam did. The guilt of ruining a good top was hers to bear now. "I'm sorry! I forgot clothes are a thing!" - she cried out, then - she felt it. The surge, the anger, the true majin within surging to avenge the murder of her beloved shirt! The only thing her gray opponent could do was step back - blinking. Feeling rather indimidated, now that the overpowering might has been released fully, and not only that, it came with a dazzling display of might and a mighty dazzle to boot. The gray one hunkered down, crossing her arms and squaring for the incoming onslaught she had no hope of outrunning. The first part came as a hailstorm would, jabbing and pricking against the guarding majin, who grit her teeth and grunted in pain, as the raining bolts of energy broke through her defenses. It caused her to stagger, just as she did that - the real storm began. An avalanche of power overwhelmed Nal, who cried out in pain and fright, as her mighty form began to dissolve under the barrage, soon disappearing behind the dazzling curtain. Eventually, even that had to end, however - and once it did, the gray majin still stood. Shrunken to her natural size, with remnants of Zam's furious outburst sizzling from her entire body and what sorry shreds were left from the vest Nal wore. The lithe figure stood, her eye twitched uncontrollably. She was hurt - for the first time since she was summoned and awakened, Majin Nal was seriously hurt. And even worse than that, for the first time since ever, she didn't know what to do now. Zam was angry, obviously. Zam hurt her. Nal was now angry too, angry and afraid. Zam had more power than Nal. Nal had ways to block some of that power. But she had no way of getting through that ridiculous might, her own power lacking and fighting skills nowhere near as good. She had to get better. Had to learn better. And definitely had to fight Zam again later. But for that she had to survive this and running away would mean an even angrier majin. And not running away meant facing an already angry majin. Confused, frightened and injured, Nal gave in to her instincts. Unfortunately for her, the instincts of a majin were set on "fight" rather than "flight". Nal's aura flashed once more, brilliant green entwinned with pale gray, responding to the monstrous power with her own rise in might. Crying out in desperation, Nal rushed forth. "Nyaaaarh!" No more fancy attacks - this time, it was just a flurry of hits with her fists, aiming to just... inflict at least some damage before she inevitably falls. However, with her eyes flashing green, the majin's subconscious mystic part decided to at least somewhat even the odds... Even as the destructive rain ended and Nal shrunk, Zam still fumed. She let out a gasp of steam as her insides quite literally boiled. More of it escaped from the holes lining her body with shrill whistles. The bloody wound started closing as her regeneration struggled to keep up with the damage. Her mind was a maelstrom of anger. Pain, loss, hate... It painted the world around her in a curtain of red. Destroy... She just wanted to destroy everything! Majins weren’t exactly known for their stable emotions after all...
When the opponent charged, the pink Majin didn’t even try to dodge or block. She was too far gone. However, the flash of green sunk somewhere deep... It clasped around the girl’s soul like an imaginary shackle, sealing away a big portion of her arsenal. To her it felt like she just forgot... forgot... what did she forget? The first punch shattered the question. It no longer mattered. Nothing mattered! When someone hit her... She would hit back! Weathering the flurry of punches, she clenched her trembling fists. Those bloody red eyes lit up with malicious glow.
Reckoning was coming.
With a fierce battle cry, the powerhouse tapped into her full might. A massive blaze engulfed her, making her muscles bulge with pure power. Her motions were a mere blur as she accelerated... And unleashed a fierce counterattack! Countless punches in a furious combo! Every attack was expertly aimed at the opponent’s weak spots. The earth and heavens shook with each impact. ...In her imagination at least. Meanwhile in reality... “Nyeeeeerh!” Due to her lack of martial arts training, the combo came out as... Slappityslappityslapslaplap! She had closed her eyes at some point and flailed angrily. Only her raw physical power made the slaps somewhat dangerous.

Frantic or not, trained or not, the slaps hit Nal hard, her mystic powers healing up whatever they could, but slowly, Zam was breaking through the gray majin's formidable defenses. And definitely had more punishment to dish out than Nal had the power to undo. Basically on her last leg as it was, the frightened, frantic and frustrated gray girl still had her analytical (for a majin, at least) mind - and that mind came up with a plan. A dumb, last effort plan, that hopefully would save her even more pain at the hands of the pink menace! Green aura surrounded the girl after she was struck by the frenzied slap, missing one batch, but getting struck by the other two. Staggering and healing almost immediately, the gray one dashed... for the bag of candy, aiming to grab a handful, wrappers and all. Her next move was to charge at Zam once again, preliminarily sensing her opponent... even though that ridiculous power still frightened the gray majin, she knew she had to know it in order to fight it. And fight she did - attempting to wrap both hands around the devastatingly mighty girl, to try and grapple with her! And if she did manage... her next move would be to shove that handful of candy into her mouth. Anger can be calmed. And what do majins love more than sweets? Not destruction, she hoped. Tactics and skill prevailed over angry flailing. Zam got caught by the charge, her arms pinned by the grapple. The crimson eyes blinked, surprised and baffled by the move. “Lemme go! Aaaaaaah!!” ...Flailing intensified. She put up fierce resistance. Every passing second she came closer to breaking free of the immobilizing bind. In the nick of time, the handful of candy found its goal. “-aaaaaaa-!! Nom.” Her cheeks puffed. Sugary sweetness washed over her senses. The flailing stopped. A puzzled silence fell over the battlefield...
Reminiscent of a campfire doused with cold water, the blazing aura was suddenly snuffed out. Only thin wisps of steam rose into the wind anymore. Likewise, the pink girl’s monstrous power plummeted to more manageable levels. The crimson coloration faded from her eyes and the gold returned. Quietly she chewed the tasty treats. After munching for a moment, she stuck out her tongue covered in empty candy wrappers. Bleh. Many beings had tried to stop the chaotic creature’s tantrums, but so far the gray challenger was the second one ever to succeed...
Zam’s focus shifted onto Nal and her gaze narrowed. “...Dummy.” Slooowly she bent her neck backwards, winding up an obvious headbutt. If the opponent didn’t let go right away... Bonk. She would get to experience the lingering frustration of the hard-headed powerhouse. It lacked the hateful power of her other attacks, but hopefully conveyed her grumpy opinion well enough. If she managed to wiggle free, she would most definitely fold her arms and sulk.

Nal didn't even feel the headbutt, the gelatinous property of her face made it cave in, then pop right back out as the hit was done. Nevertheless, the majin did let go from the (rather awkward, given the circumstances) embrace and instead turned away, to rummage through that little satchel she had on. Clinkink of various capsules was heard all over. Not this... not this either... "A-ha!" - she said, clicking one of those and tossing it up the air. The capsule let out a *poof!* - and released what looked like a vest. It wasn't quite as adorable as the tank top, but it was something. It also weighted a lot more than a set of clothing probably should, but somehow, Nal didn't care. The gray majin walked over towards the pink one and held out the vest with an apologetic grin. "Hey, I kinda forgot myself there a little bit... well a lot. I didn't want to break your top! So here, you can have this one. It's nice. It's a little heavy for some reason, but I think it'd look rather cool on you!" - talking, lots of talking. Lots of still somewhat concealed worry, but also - plenty of joy. For despite the disastrous ending to the whole thing... Nal had a lot of fun. And also learned a lot about her own limits, as well as about majins in general. Such as their regeneration being ridiculously potent. After a while of consideration, the gray overthinker decide to speak some more, because of course she did. "If you want, I can heal us both a little more and then we can eat the candy. I think we earned that! What say you?"

Despite Zam’s final, violent protest, the fight was over. An odd sort of draw between two nigh-indestructible creatures. She folded her arms with a grumpy pout and plopped down on the ground. Hmph. Salty little thoughts filled her mind. They smothered her usual energy and curiosity. Not even the magic trick with the capsule got much reaction out of her. She simply glared back like the gray girl had fed her a raw lemon.
When the apologetic friend offered the vest, the sulky girl turned away from it. A weak mumble accompanied the cold gesture. “Sniff... Dun wan it...” She wanted her comfy top back. It was a treasure she had found all by herself. Some dumb vest was not the same. Sure, smarter people might call her petty for thinking like that, but the joke was on them. She didn’t know what that word meant so bleeeeh.
However, the mention of candy resonated much better. Zam actually perked up ever so slightly. “Candy...?” The word made her eyes twinkle. “Okay...” Healing sounded good too. Even though her regeneration was rapidly knitting her body back together, the huge gash across her chest still hurt. She had taken plenty of hits from blades before, but... Something about that sword felt weird.
Fortunately, the mercurial Majin would get over her grumpiness with the help of tasty snacks. Every sweet mouthful helped push away the salty, bitter feelings until she forgot what got her so mad in the first place. And where she had lost some clothes, she had at least gotten a new friend! Maybe their meeting would lead to a grand adventure.
Buuut that would be a story for another time.

The gray majin used the last of her mystic powers, stretching out an arm and flicking the wrist, to beckon the green aura one last time, healing both of the two majins, then rested a hand on Zam, specifically - that gash left by her sword, using the emerald aura once more to surround the wound and close it - leaving no harm done whatsoever. The majin lacked power to heal herself any more, though - stumbling back and plopping onto the ground, with a heavy, tired pant. "Whew... using that much healing really is tiresome, you know?" - she said, then rewarded herself with a hefty handful of candy, unwrapping and piling the wrappers up aside, soon beginning to crumple each on top of the other, making a ball out of candy wrappers. Sharing the sizeable bounty of tasty, sugary treats with her new pink friend! This would definitely be a weird friendship. But one Nal wanted to keep - she could almost feel the surge of power she would receive once the ache went away. And Zam was... fun.
