Now that she was done digging she reflected on what he said before she buried him whole; it was no different to staring at a c-phone with distractions. It was strange that Achido disliked children, since she was homeschooled she never knew the social dynamic behind it, and it did matter if she missed out since she was still able to make friends. Achido’s father had to be bribed to fight and that did not make any sense at all unless he got paid for a living with martial arts but to her it did not matter if she got paid or not. A true fighter would do everything to be the strongest otherwise the fight itself was done and over with.
“You let yourself get buried. What happened to being light on your feet at all times even when dirt is thrown on your face? Serves you right!” Ty stuck her tongue out at him and walked over to the edge to dig out a metal bottle from her messenger bag pouring it over a towel which she handed over to him to wipe his hands and face clean.
With her messenger strap pulled over her head, she wore it across her chest, and pulled out the promised sandwiches from earlier wrapped in wax paper which she handed over to Achido.
“Good job. After we eat, we need to turn this pile of dirt into a giant ball, and somehow carry it over somewhere maybe plant something with it.” Ty began unraveling her sandwich which was chicken salad but Achido had a different sandwich as soon as he opened it.
“Ki? It’s your fighting spirit energy. That is what my father told me it was whenever he flies around the air like a wingless bird. If we get strong enough together we can fly, too.” Ty took a big bite of her sandwich almost eating the entire thing but she limited herself to munching on half, “You can dash around like stepping on invisible stairs by concentrating your ki on your feet. I recently learned you could also apply the same method to skate above the surface of the water! We should go try it!”

Achido was given the towel from the bag, so he quickly wiped himself clean and smiled at the thought of Ty keeping her promise. "I may be nimble on my feet, but that won't stop a pile of dirt from burying me! Especially when the dirt is being flung so fast!" He said in a jokingly tone of voice, before grinning at the thought of eating. It was a few hours ago when Achido ate last, but the teenager had a very big appetite and loved to try all kinds of food.
As Ty handed over the neatly wrapped sandwich, the teenager quickly unwrapped it and began to dig into the Turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise sandwich. The first bite had Achido wanting more, so he devoured most of the sandwich before Ty was able to speak again. What she said had the kid wondering what they would end up doing with all the dirt. "We could plant a few trees in front of the building? Might cause it to stick out more." He said to her, while nomming on the sandwich some more.
Achido finished up the sandwich rather quickly, but it filled him up enough to get through the next few hours. When Ty answered his question, he looked to her in shock, not quite understanding how they could fly. "You're telling me that I have this Ki inside me? Like it will help me fly too?! Really? We should totally learn how to control it!" He responded with excitement in his voice. The teenager was new to all this, but Ty was making it seem like it was so much fun and that had Achido curious to how it was done.

“I have a bad habit of being so focused I have no idea what I am doing...sorry, I was not trying to bury you alive or anything that would be attempted murder!” Ty pouted, almost upset at him for allowing himself to suffocate briefly, even though it was mostly her fault. “You have to keep up with me!”
Even if Ty was fast, Achido was the fastest at gulping down his sandwich before she could even blink, and she suspected he was hungry before they even started or he always ate like an animal. Either way she could not help laughing at him, she laughed so hard her ribs hurt, and then she had to calm down before she injured her internal organs. With a sigh, she calmed down ,and finished the other half of her sandwich.
“I am staying with my Uncle Toad Lily, he lives in huge penthouse apartment, and I bought the sandwiches from the shop directly below it. I am pretty sure I have designed every combination. It’s a build your own sandwich set up, almost like a buffet, and they wrap it for you at the register as well as toast it or fry something up real quick like an egg or bacon. I can bring more next time, just tell me which ones to bring, and I think they wrap the grilled cheese ones in foil to keep them warm.”
“Hmm...I am kind of tired of tropical trees, maybe something that bears fruit or something for a quick snack. It has to survive the climate, maybe oranges? What do you think, Achido?”
Ty took a swig of her water before putting away inside her bag and took out a lollipop, handing one over to Achido in case he felt like eating candy, it was the kind with gum in the center. “You already know how to control your ki, you powered up with it, and restored some of your ki when we were sparing in the storm drain. I recall my first time powering up yelling at my father, in an unfortunate incident where he was being super over protective of me, I just wish he trusts me in being independent. If I can prove to him that I am strong enough to fly, then all his worries will melt away, and since you’re my best friend. I should probably tell you I kind of ran away from home. My Mother trusts me and she is confident that my uncle will keep an eye out even while he is studying medicine at university. I just need to get my Father’s approval by training harder and with you by my side, I can do just about anything.”

Achido was having a blast with his new best friend and it seemed that Ty was enjoying herself as well, because she was laughing hysterically as Achido finished up his sandwich rather quickly. "Hey, what's so funny? I was hungry. Well, still am." He announced to the woman in a jokingly tone of voice. The teenager hadn't eaten since after he woke up, which was a bowl of cereal, so he was eager to get his hands on whatever would catch his eyes.
The thought of oranges growing outside the Dojo was a wonderful idea, so much that Achido's eyes lit up with joy at the words from Ty. "That would be amazing, Ty! Oranges after a nice training session would be a great snack!" He responded to her idea of planting a few Orange trees outside the dojo. Not only would it be a good snack for the students, but it would make the dojo stick out more to the eye of whoever passed by.
With Ty handing over a lollipop, the teenager gladly accepted it, twisting the wrapper off and throwing the orange flavored lollipop in his mouth. As Ty spoke about Achido's ki, she mentioned that he had used it earlier and that he was able to control it. The blonde Martial Artist shook his head. "I don't know how to control it, it just happened, Ty. As if my body knew about it, but my brain didn't. It's hard to explain, but I know I can't just do that out of nowhere. I'd need to learn and practice how to control it." He said to her, while twisting the lollipop around in his mouth.

Achido either took Ty’s confession of having run away without her father’s approval very well or he was so busy thinking about how he managed to power up. She smiled knowingly, he seemed quite forgetful, and she found that rather cute. His lack of attention to detail was what made him Achido afterall and she would never want him to change for the world. It was a relief that he wanted orange trees, she was nervous about him choosing avados or something that she would not be able to eat every day, and with that she opened up her lollipop so that she could think a bit more from a sugar boost.
“I cannot describe powering up further than I already have but you better be ready when we get trained by Cayle to harness it better. Oh!” Ty realized she never mentioned who she texted earlier, “Cayle is a Saiyan, it is how I found out that my father had been keeping his origin secret. Apparently Saiyans have vegetable related names. My saiyan name is Kuri Kalabasa of Koba Kalabasa, son of Kalabasa--something rather. It is such a long lineage name of some kind, it is so confusing. My mother is from the Lily clan, we all have Lily in our names but we don’t have a last name or anything. I have a bit of an identity crisis having two different names which is why I go by Ty. In fact, when my father called me Kuri, my saiyan side came out, and I powered up for the first time, I guess...”
After a beat she smiled widely, the candy stick was in one side of her mouth while she talked, “Guess how many licks until you reach the center. What do you think the answer is?” [298]

Achido may have been a very forgetful person, but the fact that Ty ran away from home had him curious to why. The thought of being out in the world all alone, sent chills down the spine of the teenager. "Wait, wait, wait!" He called out after hearing the woman speak of the man who was supposed to train them. He was a saiyan, so Achido was expecting to see someone rather different looking than himself, but he would be rather surprised when he finally gets to meet Cayle. "You ran away? What would make you want to do that?!" He asked in curiosity to the whole situation.
Achido looked to the ground, then back to Ty's beautiful face, watching as she twirled the lollipop within her mouth. His face began to turn red, so he quickly turned away and picked up the shovel to set it back into the dirt just a few inches. His attention was put back on Ty with a few questions in mind about this Cayle guy. "A saiyan? Like you, but a little different, right? This is all confusing, Ty! Or Kuri?" He paused for a brief moment, trying to take in everything that was being thrown his way. The teenager had so much on his mind and wasn't sure how to take it all, but he gave her a slight nod, showing that he trusted her in every way.
With Ty distracting him with another question, but this one caught him off guard. "The lollipop? Hm, I'd say five thousand licks! Let's see what you can do!" He called out and smiled devilishly to his best friend. She was brave and naive, but smart and very beautiful, this kept his heart warm and insides all tingly. It seemed the red tint appeared over his cheeks, as he watched Ty attempt to get to the center of the lollipop.

“Uh...yeah....well my father refused for me to leave his protection. He is worried Tuffles might try to experiment on me since I am half saiyan...but I have not met any Tuffles yet, apparently they also look human despite being from another planet...and they have my aunt, who is my father’s twin, held captive somewhere when they were separated at five years old. Cayle is trying to find all the Tuffle bunkers on earth to free them all.”It appeared that Ty was star struck at this point, reflecting on what it all meant to her being a saiyan personally, and she was still getting used to the idea of calling herself that after believing she was human for long. She missed the moment Achido kept staring at her expectantly, if she had noticed she would be wondering if he felt ill from the red tint coloration of his skin, and would be worried for his well being. Hearing the name Kuri did make her tense up, for a long time she detested the name, but then realized it was in honor of a grandfather she never had the chance to meet because he was on a different planet. “Well my birth certificate says Tiger Lily...I mean, how would you feel if you were called something else apart from Achido?” Ty tilted her head for a moment and then smiled as he started to count the licks. At first she was only teasing him about it but he took it quite seriously, “Okay well...one...two...three…” She bit down on the candy, crushing it with her teeth, and reaching the gum in the middle. Blowing a huge orange bubble between her lips to prove her efforts are based on the enjoyment of getting to the center. After the bubble popped she grinned, “I like your method, though.”

"Androids, Saiyans, and now Tuffles? What else is out there in this world. If she is right, then we must keep training to get stronger. Planet Earth won't save itself!" The teenager thought to himself after hearing what Ty had told him about her father and the Tuffles. When she spoke of Cayle helping out, he looked away, trying to hide the jealousy he had already felt for the guy Ty had spoke highly of. "This Cayle guy, he really seems like he could be strong? If so, there might be a little bit of hope to keep earth safe from harm." He said to her, as he looked in her direction once more.
Achido grew up in a normal home with a normal family, but with all the training his father forced him to do, he may be able to help them out in the future. All the young kid would have to do is keep his focus on strengthening his weaknesses and gradually master what he already knows. Achido may have been a sixteen year old boy, but the training he went through as a kid had prepared him for almost anything that would be thrown in his way, or so the kid thought. Ty was the biggest obstacle Achido had gone against, but it wasn't a battle. Or maybe it was because he knew that eventually there would be a time he would have to battle for her heart..
"Tiger Lily. That is a very pretty name, though. It fits you." He said, then blushed once more, showing that his feelings for her were growing with each passing second. Achido wasn't sure how much longer he would keep it to himself, but he knew that Ty couldn't find out anytime soon. The sound of Ty counting and the crunch of the lollipop caused him to turn back to her and smiled lightly. "Cheater!" He called out in a jokingly tone of voice.
The teenager then looked around the area to see a large mound of dirt beside a nicely paved area for their dojo. It was a start and Achido was proud to be doing this with Ty, and hopefully others would join them in their journey to build a dojo to teach others of Martial Arts. "We still have a lot of work to do, but the base is leveled and almost ready to start the constructing part." He called out to Ty, as he looked at what they have done so far.

Ty laughed when Achido accused her of being a cheater, he was so predictable to follow the unwritten rules of the game they were playing, and she sighed happily after their small break to look over at their combined efforts. Achido picking up the shovel was a sign that they needed to get back to digging again, the giant dirt pile was in the way of setting up the perimeter with the four by four wooden planks to level out the ground, and she took the time to concentrate ki in her hand. With the ki she was able to compress the loose dirt, just as she had planned, and picked it up like a giant dirt block to place it closer to the sidewalk. Using her hand like a blade, the ki surrounded her fingers allowed her to chop four perfect slabs, to make four flower beds, kicking them off in a neat row on the edge of the sidewalk. Once the massive pile was clear, there was room for leveling, and install the pipe system needed for running water. The south city land inspectors were scheduled to authorize the permit to continue building, taking priority in new building projects, it took no time at all for the public servants to show up on short notice, and soon enough the water system was in place in a couple of hours.
While Achido began to level the ground in order to set up a base and place metal slats across the area to start on the flooring, Ty left to buy the orange trees, and flowers for the newly placed slabs of dirt. The orange trees from the garden center were removed from the planters and the roots were wrapped in burlap. Physically, she could only carry two trees over her shoulders, and the flowers were hanging on a sling from the trunks. It was two blocks away from the dojo, so Ty carefully carried two ten foot trees, and caught the attention of several onlookers who marveled at her strength. It would have been easier if she knew how to drive Achido’s truck but she did not have a license to operate a motorized vehicle. It would help her save up money for the dojo and Pilaf land if she had one.
All the physical labor was getting rough, she could feel some of her muscles tense up, and any sharp pain she felt made it worse. In the back of her mind, a bath full of ice sounded just about right, and any time she looked over to Achido he was at full speed setting everything up properly. The teenage boy was using everything he learned from school to plan out the project as far as she could tell, looking at his phone a few times to calculate a measurement, and research something on the internet while he continued to build. Ty took the time plant the orange trees on the outer sides of the dirt slabs and planted marigolds in the remaining two slabs at the center. She figured the front entrance should have a clear view to the outside overlooking the island cliff edge of a small dog park across the street.
As the sun began to set, Achido offered Ty a ride home in his truck, and she took advantage to reach across his lap to hold the wheel a few times but he punched her bicep in retaliation because she needed a permit before she could try to conduct the vehicle. After about fifteen minutes they arrived at her uncle’s penthouse apartment and explained that if he ever wanted to pay her visit to simply press three on the call box. Otherwise he could just text her and she would make her way over to him if he sent the coordinates. The next couple of days were dedicated to saving enough zeni to continue their dojo project as well as taking a break from construction until they had more materials.
