The flailing assault ended in a predictable way. Zam got blown away by the burst, hitting the ground tumbling and skidding. Before she could recover, the nasty elbow strike took her down. The stomp landed with crushing force, burying her head deep. On impact, cracks reminiscent of spider webs spread across the ground. As the dust settled, the girl had gone limp and deathly still...
In the background, the nameless demons went wild. Again. Some dared to claim they had predicted this result all along. Others lamented how they had hoped for somebody to knock the pretty boy down a notch. In their hooting and hollering, they failed to notice that the girl’s lifeless body started crackling... Dangerous currents coiled around her like angry snakes. The small hands curled into trembling fists. A muffled scream erupted from the ground.
-BOOM!-
A massive explosion rocked the village. Or what little was left of it anymore. It was big and potent enough to carve a smoldering crater into the ground. And at the center of that crater was one very miffed Majin. “That huuuurt!” She rubbed her squashed face until it popped back into shape. A trickle of purple blood left her nose. It raised several questions about how her body even worked. Better not to ask.
Zam focused her angry glare onto the opponent. Gold had turned into crimson. “You... you... big dummy! I don’t wanna play with you anymore!” Shrill whistles pierced the air as she vented. Well, that didn’t mean she was just going to let him walk away... “I’m gonna blow you away!” Taking aim, she brought her hands together and splayed her fingers. Pure energy flashed, bursting forth as a big beam. Despite the glittering pink appearance, it was a torrent of raw force meant to do exactly what she threatened.

This couldn't have been enough - there's no way that this girl, after having taken so much punishment, could go down after a few strong punches. And, much like Magnus had guessed, exactly that happened - the girl suddenly stood up and released a powerful burst of energy from her body, enveloping most of the village in a shower of pink. The blonde demon dug to his feet and crossed his arms, taking the sheer force of the attack - and then had to contend with a beam of pink energy thrown straight at him, too. And, again, through sheer force of will and an unflinching desire to push through, Magnus survived the attack - his body remained standing exactly where it had stood before, in the same crossed arms position as before. The pink girl was fuming, she was angry. Normally, Magnus would welcome this change - anger and hatred in others is exactly what he seeks to draw out. But this isn't anger which would lead to an epiphany and freedom from one's shackles of society. This hatred was circumstantial, rooted in childish desires, and could not lead the girl anywhere. So, she gets to be destroyed. Without offering a single word, Magnus suddenly lunged forward, aiming to strike Zam while she was still fuming and shove both of his fists into the woman's eye sockets. Even as the energy roared and the wind howled, the sturdy foe refused to follow the little Majin’s demands. The torrent faded eventually, leaving only the two fighters standing among the ruins. Her eye twitched and teeth gnashed with frustration. “How...?” Why didn’t he turn to dust like everyone else? Cheating... He had to be cheating somehow! This was so unfair!
Before Zam could voice her accusations, the counter-attack interrupted her. This attack too seemed to find a critical spot, sinking in effortlessly with a squish. Unsurprisingly, she didn’t take well to the nasty hits. “Hieeeek!” She cried out, staggering away and clutching her face. A creature could have lost an eye. But Majins weren’t normal by any stretch of the word. Suddenly she sucked in a deeeep breath of air and pinched her nose. With a pop the squished eyes blinked open again. And they burned with explosive rage.
The furious girl raised both of her arms towards the sky. A tiny orb orb manifested above her palms, barely the size of a pearl. “Hnnngh...” It pulsed, growing to the size of a baseball. “I hate you!” Another pulse and it reached the size of a basketball. “Hateyouhateyouhateyou!” Repeating the spiteful words like a mad mantra, she pumped power into the orb. By now it was as large as a beach ball. The inside was glowing brightly, almost white. “Haaaaate you!” With a great heave, she sent it crashing towards the man. It was aimed to bash him flat against the ground before detonating in yet another massive blast.

The longer Magnus fought this girl, the deeper of a grave he dug for himself. Even when she was just playing with him as if he was a toy and she was an overly excited child, she was a challenge to his skills - and now, she has been overtaken by anger and hatred, building up the most powerful attacks which her ki would allow, and aiming to vaporize the fellow demon completely. Magnus knew better than anyone else how potent of a force hatred was. Hatred gives you the power to lead you to salvation. But, at the same time, if directed towards the wrong cause, it is a dangerous weapon as well. And, the problem was, that this pink bubbly girl was not the type of person to guide towards the right projection of her hatred. It was childish and circumstantial, so Magnus had to bear the brunt of it without any higher purpose. How disgusting. The demon revolutionary crossed his arms in anticipation, taking the massive concentrated blast of energy head on, it detonating in a powerful shower of pink. Despite just how overwhelming the attack was, Magnus pushed through and survived - he suddenly leapt out of the explosion, his hand reached out towards the girl's head. If successful, he would try to grab it and smash it to the ground, where it belongs. A wicked grin played on Zam’s features. The shouting was slowly twisting into giggling. It bubbled from the dark depths of her mind. Her preferred way to vent frustration had always been violence. Going on a rampage was always such a rush. Firing blasts of energy and watching the glittering explosions scratched a deep, subconscious itch she didn’t always even recognize. It felt nice. Felt... right.
...At least until the foe emerged from the blast yet again.
Much to the Majin’s immense disbelief, her enemy still hadn’t turned into dust. Now she was absolutely totally super sure he was cheating! With the false realization came an idea. An awful, wonderful idea. If this meanie kept going through her best booms... Then she would just have to beat him until he couldn’t move anymore! Her friends had taught her that tactic. Right now, it sounded great!
This time the foe fumbled his attacks. It was a critical mistake. Zam dodged the grasping hand easily, leaving the plans for grab and smash unfulfilled. “Hmph, I told you!” Moving on instinct, she swung her left fist at the man’s gut. It was meant to stop his leap short, leave him hanging in the air. “That... won’t... work!” She followed up with a fierce uppercut, jumping upwards with the violent motion. The attack was aimed right at his jaw.

There comes a point where, no matter how far Magnus pushes himself through with sheer grit and hatred, he will finally slip up and start making mistakes. This time, it came at the worst possible point - pushing through the pain and agony coursing in his veins, he struck at the bubbly pink girl, only for her to easily dodge out of his grip and deliver a powerful counterattack straight into his gut. The force of the attack left him staggered, and the following uppercut snapped his body backwards. It was not powerful enough as to toss him into the sky, especially since Magnus dug to his heels and stood his ground, but it left the demon dazed and struggling regardless. His body wanted to lay down and give up. To get a rest. Its ki reserves were completely drained, and so was its stamina. It was not going to take an another punch, much less an attack as powerful as the ones which the girl was throwing at him. He was not going to turn the battle around when she kept regenerating from any and all of his attacks, too. And yet... "Damn it..." Magnus muttered under his breath, clenching his fist, summoning an energy blade around it yet again. His mind was not going to yield. "Not today... Trust me, I'm not dying today..." He was going to perish and become an unmarked grave one day, but that day was not going to be today. The demon grunted and suddenly shoved his energy blade towards the girl's gut. While physical attacks didn’t really have the raw, destructive power of energy blasts, even the little Majin could feel that was something oddly satisfying about punching people. Each heavy thud that landed vented a little more anger. It was making her feel better already. She was really surprised to see the foe still standing after that. He was way tougher than the humans and beasties she usually played with, tougher than other demons too.
Zam’s eyes widened when the energy blades reappeared again. Glimmer of wonder twinkled in the golden gaze. “Ooh!” Unfortunately, getting distracted was costly. The blade pierced right through her midriff. A swift and effortless cut. Its eerie glow peeked from her back. The regeneration couldn’t keep up against the slicing energy. She twitched, wheezing out a weak gasp.
“Mister...”
Suddenly the girl’s surprise shifted into a pouty glare. She had just wanted to see it! Not get hit by the stabby bit again! It was super rude, you know. The fuming girl drew back her fist. Her rubbery muscles tensed, pulsing with power. Or maybe hot air. “...stop being a huge jerk!” She threw a punch with all her might, aimed right at the opponent’s face. It was revenge for squashing her nose. Yes, she was still upset about that one.

For once, Magnus's attack left something permanent in the annoying bubbly girl. His energy blade pierced through her gut, coming out of the other side and leaving the girl baffled. Shocked, even. But just as angry as she was before - after all, immediately after, she verbally spat at his face and called him a jerk. Really? That's the childish lingo which the two of them were going to descend to? Magnus raised his hand, catching the fist heading his way, nullifying all of its momentum with his palm. It stinged, it hurt, a brief wince broke on his face's features, but the demon managed to endure the blow - all while continuing to stare at the girl. "I'm a jerk? When have I ever been a jerk?.." he spoke, striking a faint smirk. "Am I unfair to you? Or is the world around us to blame? It is this world which decided that the two of us are enemies today, that our hate arbitrarily projects itself towards one another, after all. It was not either of our decision." Suddenly, Magnus threw his fist towards the girl's face, aiming to blow her away and pull her off his energy blade. "Now that you are overtaken by hatred, what do you feel?" he declared, standing up straight and staring down towards the shorter, pinkish demon girl. "You feel... free, don't you? That there's nothing in this world which could stop you from destroying me, that nothing matters except for your own desire, desire to turn me to a smear on the floor... That's what my goal is." Even though his body was in agony, Magnus could not stop himself from venting just a little bit of his thoughts - hell, agony is perhaps the best moment for him to express himself! The young blonde demon turned his eyes to the sky. "I am an agent of hatred. It's what I seek to instill. Because it is a poison to this unfair, disgusting, unjust society we all live in." "And you've proven me right." Despite the ominous wind-up, the megaton punch was kiiind of missing the megaton punch. Not a bang, but rather a biff. Zam had always been better at ki blasts than punches. That too was in her nature. However, nothing could have prepared her for the counterattack... Oh, not the punch, no. Her malleable body absorbed that blow completely with another squeak. “Eep.” Rather, it was the words that gave the girl a pause... Spoken with unshakable conviction, they swirled around her head and slithered into her ears. She looked mesmerized, unable to say anything back. So she only listened.
When the man dropped his final revelation, the little Majin cocked her head. A small puff of steam rose above her hair, twisting into a question mark. After a long and awkward silence, she finally piped up. “You say weird things, Mister.” Blunt and flat, a comment akin to a bop from a rolled up newspaper. She almost sort of maybe understood some of the words there, buuut then he had totally lost her.
The grandeur of revolution was kiiinda lost on a child.
Zam aimed an accusing point at the self-righteous man. “You do all these jerk things... Like ruining my clothes... Making holes in me...” She patted her midriff, where the gaping hole was slowly closing. Even her absurd regeneration had its limits. The foe had, with raw effort, carved halfway through it. She leveled her open palm towards him. Pink energy gathered around her arm. “And you’re being a jerk right now. So quit it!” The demand was punctuated with two more bright bursts, her final word on the matter of jerks. However, as her anger was far gone in the swirling confusion, these ones carried no killing intent. And thus no lethal force.

Of course, the pink bubbly demon girl was going to shoot him down with the best arguments which her childish head could muster. That he is being a jerk and ruining things for her, so, no matter what his justifications for this are, he should put a stop to it. Of course, being a "jerk" is exactly what Magnus's point was, if he had to step down to the girl's level of speech. He couldn't just "stop doing that" when it was his point in the first place. And... well, by forcing the girl to lash out at him yet again, showering him with a powerful pink energy blast, he proved exactly what he wanted to prove. And so, faced with the destructive wave of ki barreling before him, Magnus merely bore a smile. The energy blast overwhelmed him, resulting in a powerful and concentrated explosion of ki. This time, the demon revolutionary did not stand up. The sheer force of the attack threw his body away, sending it rolling across the ground before it finally hit the wall of a partially demonlished building. There, the ragdoll finally found a place to rest. Lying on the dirt and gravel, facing towards the sky above, completely unconscious. Two more blasts shook the ground and stirred up dust. With one final wheeze of steam, the little Majin lowered her hand. Fierce crimson shifted back into gentle gold. Hm. She felt much better now! Honestly she had forgotten what had gotten her so angry anyway. After pondering for a bit, she decided it didn’t matter either.
Zam looked around at the smoldering ruins around her. Her pale horns wiggled, yet found nothing. All the other demons had left, or so she figured at least. Nothing interesting around here anymore... So she spun around and dashed away, leaving the defeated opponent behind. The cheery sprint took her towards the forest region she called home. Fighting made her hungry! Time for a snack!
Meanwhile, back in the other villages rumors were starting to slowly spread. They whispered of a fierce territory battle between two terrifying demons. There were many different versions about how it ended. Some said a pink blob creature blasted the opposition into dust like a living cannon. Others claimed a nigh-invincible monster in a uniform marched through the barrage and cut the opponent apart. An agreement was never reached and bets were left unsettled. Only the two fighters knew the true end result...
