Unfortunately, Savina’s surge of speed had done precisely what she was intending not to- it had caused enough strain on her nervous system to briefly slow down the reaction time she had just gained. In a manner of speaking, her performance had not been truly augmented, simply… borrowed. Kind of like the tendency for excess consumption of alcohol to be compared to “borrowing tomorrow’s happiness”. Thankfully, Savina had thusfar been spared the agony of a terrible hangover. Actually, she had never had alcohol of any kind. Would it even affect her, given how her body processed nutrients? Questions for another time-- -- This time, however, the gynoid was struck painfully in her abdomen. Her body slid backward from the force of the blow and ultimately left her falling to her knees, with only one outstretched hand to support herself on the ground. Between the actual pain from her synapses being overtaxed and the simulated pain from Bryce’s damage to her torso, Savina was left more than a little dizzy. This was the most damage she had suffered at all in her life so far, and it was a lot to take in- but she did still enjoy it. That pain told her that she was not entirely synthetic, that she was real, and more excitingly, that she still had plenty of room to grow. She lifted her gaze to look at Bryce and grinned. “ You’re crazy strong, y’know that? I think you might just win this one-- but I’m not out of the fight just yet!” she declared proudly and peeled herself off the ground, returning to her readied stance. Her nerves still seared with pain, but she would push through it- she had to. It would just be rude to let something as minor as a bit of pain get in the way of their fight. Besides, if she was going to lose to this other android, she was going to make sure that she actually lost to him! Surrendering simply would not do. Savina dashed forward again at extreme speeds, yet again commanding the blades within her arms to pop out. The words 'crazy strong' hit his ears and forced another grin on him, sending all kinds of messages and not the right ones. But for now, Bryce was firm still in his nature, even if part of him screamed otherwise. He thought something else would make him scream right after but it did not prove to be as much as he had assumed.. the hits of Savina, though impressive, were not enough to pull him out of this spar. And on top of that they seemed to reek of desperation, something Bryce could easily take advantage of. Which was something he did, somehow knowing exactly how to dodge the first flurry of those arm blades coming at him by merely.. hopping back and forth between places. How he exactly did that, and what he did to make that happen was for another time, as Savina hadn't really given him time to think it over with yet another incoming flurry of blades. This time, a hit. Bryce wanted to block most of them out of desperation himself, but in doing so he forgot that blades would still cut flesh even if blocked. Luckily Bryce snapped out of it before the blades sunk too deep as he jumped back to limit the damage. He let out a grunt though and watched intently at Savina as he felt a warm liquid drip down his arms. At least he knew he could still bleed, and his body wasn't full of oil or something. ''Thanks for the pain.'' He said with a nod, this confirming that he was enough of a human to lead a normal life yet. If spars did this.. Bryce suddenly widened his eyes as he looked at the gynoid. This was a spar, a training match, and she cut him? Why? Did she want him to go all out? Because that wasn't far off. Did she want him to go all out? That question should have been self-evident-- of course she did. Robotic body or not, the core of Savina’s personality was still derived from the mostly-Saiyan nature of her biological components. She wanted to fight as many people as she could, each at their strongest; then and only then could she be truly satisfied with what her life had amounted to. More than just that, though… she was made to be a machine of war, and those suggestions resonated through to the depths of her persona, even despite her otherwise pleasant disposition. It was a twofold thirst for battle, and that meant that she would push herself and her opponents as far as they could reasonably go during each exchange. Sure, things might have started to look somewhat grim for her prospects of victory versus Bryce, but that was no excuse to stop trying to squeeze out the most possible potential from them both. Quite the opposite, in fact- she thought it would be more insulting to lose to a person not taking a fight seriously than someone who was. Winning, losing… it all meant little in the grand scheme of Savina’s yearning for conflict. On a personal level, winning was usually preferable, as it was good and reliable self-validation. On the other hand… losing to an opponent meant that there was an objective to work toward, that she had not reached any sort of pinnacle yet-- such a fate would surely be the worst. But all of that mattered little in the face of Bryce’s knee rising quickly toward the female’s face. She attempted to snap herself backward and out of the way, but was far too slow- encumbered by her accumulating injuries, perhaps. The android’s knee collided with her chin precisely as intended and sent her soaring up and backward. The force of the blow had briefly resonated through her metallic skull and left her brain reeling, briefly unable to actually process what had happened. Her body landed loudly on the ground some handful of meters back, metal limbs clanking loudly against stone and sand; Savina remained still for a moment as she recovered from her scrambled thoughts, but did soon begin to pull herself back up off the ground. “ Incredible- you’ve gotten even stronger as we’ve been fighting! I’m definitely glad we had a chance to fight!” she again complimented her opponent shortly before launching herself forward again. Savina was certainly fighting on the last dregs of her body’s endurance, but she had no intent of surrendering until rising from the ground was nearly impossible. At the rate that they were going, though, it was only a matter of time. No matter! She rushed toward Bryce and drove her elbow forward toward the center of his face. The spar started out as even as could be- with the two androids exchanging blows that didn't alltogether do to much to the opponent. But over time things seemed to have shifted. Bryce was convinced he had the upper hand now as his knee had connected with her chin. It wasn't a very fair thing to do in a spar, but the gashes still on his arms that had slowly begun to heal told him that he could very well go for permanent injuries, because what if he hadn't been able to dodge the blades in time? He wondered if Savina realized that. Either way, when his knee hit the lower jaw of the woman and she was sent to the ground there was a certain joy Bryce got out of it. Though he quickly reeled that feeling back in, he also didn't feel the need to go check up on her, nor ask if she was okay. In situations like this, with mixed feelings, he felt it was best to just not state anything at all. As she got up after being kneed in the head she uttered words of appreciation though, giving Bryce her thanks for being able to fight him. He looked her straight in the eyes as she spoke and, while slapping together a fist and an open hand, he bowed to her as a sign of respect. This fight, though dangerous at times on account of the blades, did keep him on his toes for the duration. But he wouldn't say anything in response, because he was fairly sure Savina was just trying to distract him. Either that or she was trying to say this was the end for her. But quickly after she spoke she rushed at Bryce, though that at this point was more of a small jog than anything else, and he was easily able to follow her every motion, including the thrown elbow aimed at his face. Able to easily dodge it by stepping to the side he would quickly see another incoming elbow, this time a jumping one, but once again it was easily dodge by pushing the arm away from him. And as Savina then landed, she would find Bryce standing behind her already, his hands ready to strike. And as she turned around the mandroid would throw out an open palm aimed at the side of her head, a second open palm aimed at her sternum. And he used the momentum from that to throw an open fist out an aimed it at the nose of Savina, before his other fist was thrown out, closed, and forcefully tried planting itself against her chin. ===================== WC: 445 Defensive Phase Bryce is hit 0 time(s) for 0 damage!

For the sake of posterity, clarity, and ensuring that Savina’s good name was not besmirched, it is important to note that her attempts to converse with her opponents had not, so far at least, been with the intent of distracting them. Rather, the majority of her life thus far had been spent in silent darkness either within her tank prior to activation, or within the bowels of the bunker that she had been created in. During all that time, the girl had taken to talking to herself and some objects around her as some manner of defense mechanism to keep herself from slipping into the embrace of insanity while attempting to work her way out. As a result of that, she was a particularly talkative girl… and enjoyed commenting on damn near everything, entirely without realizing how her actions could be perceived. With that cleared up, what came next for Savina was nothing short of unpleasant. Her head was snapped to the side from Bryce’s first trike. A second blow echoing off her sternum sent her stumbling backward, body flooded with synthesized pain. Then came a fist to smash into her nose, from which came a loud crack and the sudden trickle of a clear, viscous, fluid. She did not have blood in the proper sense, but that strike had managed to damage the casing to some of her face’s nerve endings, resulting in their suspension gel leaking out in the same way that one’s nose might bleed when broken. Finally, the last of Bryce’s punches landed squarely against Savina’s chin; she fell backward immediately afterward, barely able to keep her head from smashing into the ground behind her with a single hand coming to support her. She remained in a half-upright sitting position, eyes unfocused and staring up into the sky. The poor girl had likely been concussed. “ I… You…” she attempted to form words, but struggled to say anything coherent for a moment. Instead, she gently lowered herself to the ground and simply lay there motionless for a long minute.
