After spending the night at Wheat's Farm, waking up, having breakfast, morning stretches, the usual routine. Will leaves on his Flying Nimbus to one of the towns that the infamous dinosaur Ishoy has attacked. While flying there Will wonders why he is called that. Is he sentient and introduced himself as such, something the people call him or is it just a noise he makes? What matters is that this beast's brutal carnage on these farmer's livestock must be put to an end.
It took Will no time at all to reach one of the farms. Already he could see a lot of damage the monster did to the area. A whole barn was torn down and among its debris, Will could spot many different animal bones amongst the rubble. The only thing that he couldn't find was something left behind by the creature in question. A footprint trail, a scale, anything that would help him be able to track the beast with his staff's divination abilities.
As Will lands down on the ground to look around he sees who appears to be the owner of this farm. A red-headed female human with freckles, wearing overalls, a sun hat, and straw of hay coming out of her mouth.
"Howdy there, the name's Faiba, I heard around the grape vine that you helped Wheat with his lost chicken conundrum. Unfortunately, my probably is a bit bigger and nastier than his, but from he said your tough one. So maybe you can teach this dino a thing or too so he wouldn't hurt any of or animals again? Hopefully, before he hurts anybody too." Faiba said.
"Yes, I am the one who helped Wheat the farmer and I will help you all through this Ishoy Crisis. The name's Will O. Wisp's pleasure to meet you Faiba, but if Wheat's been talking about me to everyone I bet you already knew that. When exactly happened when Ishoy attacked, can you give me something, anything to give me clues as to where they might be?" Will said.
"Well I don't know if the story about what happened to my farm will be that useful to you but I reckon that I could recount what happened that night. It was a couple of nights ago and it was a stormy night it was. Then I heard a loud boom that I thought was thunder, when I tried to shut my eyes and go back to sleep then I awoken from my slumber to hear a large crash. As I looked out my window to see what fell down I saw a large silhouette in a flash of lightning. Terrified I went and took my pets and hid in the basement worried that it would go after me, thankfully it never did." Faiba explained.
"I see, well that storm explains why there were no foot prints left behind, I understand though that's a very normal response for what you just witnessed. Although it doesn't give me much to go on." Will said.
"Well I'm not the only one who was attacked, maybe you should try checking with someone who got attacked by the monster before me and that storm hit. Try Liangshi the rice farmer who lives over yonder," she said.
She pointed further east and Will waved her goodbye and rode on his Flying Nimbus. As he saw the rice field he flew down to see many dinosaur footprints embedded into the field. Will inspected each one to see that the footprint was very deep and wide, not only big but a heavyset dinosaur judging from the size of the prints. As Will looked around he saw a strange figure near some stones. He goes in for a closer look.
It looked to be a graveyard in which each stone having an image of an ox carved onto them and a name under each. Will looked at the man standing in front of them, he was a strange small blue-skinned man in strange robes, wearing a farmers hat, and a talisman covering most of his face except his right eye and mouth. A Jiangshi to be exact, one of the many odd creatures that live around the world. He gets up and looks at Will curiously for a moment.
"Oh, are you the martial artist everyone has been talking about?" the strange man asked.
"I am Will O. Wisp the Turtle School master yes, I take it that you're Liangshi, the one who owns this land?" Will asked.
"A master, if only one came sooner. My poor boxes were slaughtered by that beast, I tried everything I could to stop it's ravenous rampage but alas, it was too strong and I was knocked out by a mere blow. When I came to my livestock were nothing but bones, it feels really lonely now without them here." Liangshi said.
"My condolences to what happened to your livestock, I'll be sure to find the beast though. Those footprints might help me get to him." Will said.
"No good they will do you, those footprints are a week old, around the time it started attacking. It's never in the same place once, always moving, always killing, always eating. Of course, it's a beast and such is the course of nature, but if it continues to go on such a gluttonous frenzy then all of the farms around here will be going out of business." Liangshi said.
"Don't you worry, all I need to do is to find something that can help me track it. And these foot prints might lead me to something left behind that I can use. This staff has special divination magic, all I need is for to scale, a tooth that fell off it, or something to help me track down where it went." Will explained.
"Yes that might work, but if it leads no trace then you'll be following its trail till it ends outside of my field. The storm washed away the footprints he left outside of my field. Before the storm hit I had told the local authorities who tracked said footprints but no one has heard back from them since and we all fear the worst." Liangshi said.
"If it already had attacked a few innocent lives then I must act quickly," Will said.
Will then began to follow the many footprints crushing the rice, as he looked through all of them he couldn't find a single thing that would aide him. Even a piece of one of its claws would be enough. As he continued searching he found himself at the end of the rice field, into a valley that stretches for miles. Still, though he might as well search in the direction the prints are pointing, even if he'll be going off-trail maybe he can find something along the way.
He then sprints out of the rice field and through the grass continuing his investigation. All he needs is just a single piece of the creature to help him find it with his staff. That one key thing to find out where it will be before it would strike next. Hopefully, he can also check to see if those people who were investigating it are still alive. He runs on hoping that he can be able to find this beast along the way, and even if the beast would end up finding him.
