Watching things go boom was one of the little demon’s favorite things. She admired the bright flashes and colorful blasts with a smile on her face. Cheerful laughter danced in the howling winds. However, that smile turned into slack-jawed, buggy-eyed surprise when the slippery opponent actually escaped the enormous explosion. “Whaaaaaat?!” She had never seen anyone dodge her strongest move. It baffled her beyond words.
Stunned by sheer surprise, the chaotic creature got caught by the retaliation. Unfortunately... Raw power wasn’t the only thing her anger had unleashed... The rubbery body streeetched, just barely resisting the force of the strikes. Stubbornly she stood her ground even when her face deformed. Even the accurate kick wasn’t enough to launch the tiny powerhouse anymore. But it definitely annoyed her further. When she heard the grave and totally untrue insult, pure fury took over. Another whistle of steam ruffled her hair. “Zam is not a jello!” She huffed angrily. “Zam is a Majin!” Why didn’t humans ever get that? Super rude...
Suddenly the dangerous monster drew back her fist, winding up a massive punch. “And when that karma person comes! I’m gonna beat them up too!” She took a wide swing, aiming to bash the bandit on the cheek. “Like this!” It was followed by a frenzied flurry of punches. A merciless beat down. That overflowing surge wasn’t just pure power and improved durability anymore. Her speed had drastically increased as well. It was compensating her sloppy form, making the massive number of strikes far more difficult to avoid.

Once again the little pink demon withstood his attacks with no visible effect... except that he had made her angry. She charged back in at him with a hay-maker towards his cheek he stepped back to evade and managed to block or evade her tiny fists of destruction as the flurry of punches rained at him from seemingly every direction at once. The little demon finally started to lose steam, Cade reached out and sensed the level of power in his opponent... She shone like the sun next to his own power... Cade gulped. Maybe he should have checked that before getting into a fight and making her mad; could he have really walked away anyway though? No, he couldn't have left these folks to the whims of a demon. He had to keep her busy until the last of the villagers was far enough away at least. He risked a quick glance away and saw most of them were out of sight... Just a bit longer, Cade. He darted to the side and launched a kick at the demon's legs looking to sweep her feet out from under her and then quickly launched into a straight front kick to try and send her bouncing down the road...[208/2308] BATTLE TRACKER

Zam just couldn’t understand it. Despite trying as hard as she could, none of her attacks were hitting. Confusion and frustration slowed down her motions. “Stay still, you... you meanie!” And the opening was just enough. First the sweep took out her legs, leaving her hanging in the air for a precarious split second. Then the kick launched her away. She flew back and bounced along the ground with a series of squeaks. “Eep! Oof! Ow!” Eventually she came to a stop, flopping against the pavement with a muffled groan. “Oooow...” Her soft skin had some scrapes that weren’t healing. All the damage she had suffered so far was slowly accumulating...
With a wheeze of steam, the tiny demon slammed her fist against the ground. She pushed herself back up and glared at the slippery foe. “Mister... You’re a big bully!” Her declaration was underlined by a grumpy pout. She spread her arms dramatically before bringing them together by the wrists. She took aim at the foe. Energy gathered and condensed around her splayed fingers. “Hmph! Dodge this!” A bright burst shot from her palms. It resembled a storm of glitter, each bolt twinkling like a teeny tiny star. Upon contact with anything, the bolts would detonate violently. Soon a chain of blinding explosions rocked the ruined village.

Cade straightened up from his kick and stood once again, starting to slowly circle the pink demon. She smacked her wrists together and started gathering energy again, before she screamed at him, "Dodge this!" Cade had every intention of doing so.. he gathered his ki once again to speed himself up... but couldn't quite move fast enough this time. The hailstorm of energy bullets collided with him, around him, and it even felt like they were going through him, the pain was so intense. As the explosions cascaded into him and pushed him through the air, he was knocked backwards into the flaming wreckage of a house and passed through it. He landed on the other side where some of the rubble fell on him, covering his unconscious form. A low groan could faintly be heard under the loose stone and wood. Unseen and unnoticed by Cade, a small package had dropped from his belt pouch onto the road nearby the demon. A sweet smell emanated from the package, inside was an apple fritter, freshly made earlier that afternoon with a sweet glaze on top of it, surprisingly not too battered despite what it's previous owner had been through in the last little bit. Countless explosions tore through the decimated village like a destructive drum solo. It was accompanied by maniacal giggling. The little Majin was having so much fun! Destruction tickled her soul, making the laughter bubble out endlessly. It was in her nature... Eventually though, even she ran out of steam. For a moment at least. She waved the ki sparks away from her hands and started marching towards the downed foe. He still hadn’t said sorry, so she was going to keep beating him up!
Suddenly Zam’s nose twitched. Something smelled... delicious... She followed the sweet scent, stopping to sniff the air every couple of steps. Soon enough, she came across a small package. Tearing through the paper, she uncovered the glazed treasure within. Few more tentative sniffs were followed by a huuuge chomp. “Nom.” The red coloration melded back to gentle gold. A big smile spread across her soft features. Mmmmh yummy~!
So easily the little demon’s wrath was quelled. The sweetness washed away her grumpy mood. Honestly, she didn’t even really remember why she had gotten so angry. Oh well, didn’t matter~! Continuing to hum the happy tone from earlier, she skipped away, eventually vanishing into the distance. The beaten bandit was promptly ignored and left to lie in the rubble. While the village was utterly destroyed, at least he had ensured that most of the citizens had gotten away safely. Hopefully that thought would ease the pain.

Some time after the little demon had made her happy exit, a dusty and battered figure in ripped and torn clothes moaned and crawled out of a pile of rubble and then flopped on the ground for a few moments. He looked around at the village, ashamed he couldn't prevent it's destruction. He had tried his best, but the sheer POWER of the little demon had been too overwhelming... which just meant his granpa Morita was right. He needed to train and travel to gain power if he was ever going to make a serious difference. Especially if that little pink demon was any indication of what kind of heavy hitters the demon-folk had. If she even was a heavy hitter... Now that was a sobering and scary thought. Best to leave that where it was for now; he wasn't getting anything done just sitting here. Cade's muscles protested and elicited a groan as he stood and took a moment to steady himself. He took one last look around the ruins of the village and shook his head At least they're still alive. They will be able to rebuild in time... Couldn't do that if they was dead. Straightening his torn and scorched clothing the best that he could, Cade tottered towards the road. As he got to the top of the hill outside of town, he turned to look one more time, fixing the site in his memory. Regret at his failure hardened into resolve to never let this happen again. turning, he started down the road again, his muscles starting to warm up and move easier now. He began playing the fight back in his mind, thinking on what he could improve on... one thought running through the back of his mind: One day we'll meet again, little Mae-jun. And it won't go your way next time.
