RP Sample; Persona #2 Ali Prince
Ali stared from above the clouds as he looked upon the expressionless faces of Danny with a strange indifference to his now fallen friend. The battle was coming to an end but the screams their screams were the worst part. Not the blood, nor the smell. Just the pitch of their yells as Danny's life seemed to seep out of his eyes..
Winter, Year 1154, Current day.
“
Hey butthead!” Sue called out as she placed a hand on Ali's shoulder rocking him until his eyes opened from slumber
“We're here man” She said smiling before she could take stock of his expression.
“Looks like you were having that dream again..” She said knowing full well what that meant.
“Yeah..” Ali spoke, taking in a breath to calm himself. “I'm okay Sue. Please don't be worried” He placed his hand over hers as it rested on his shoulder. The two met each other's eyes. Their stare held until she was sure he was okay.
“Hey..” She spoke. An all to familiar grin returning to her now.
“come on check this out Ali! I think you should see this”
Sue and Ali Clasped hands as Sue helped him up from his bunk on and over to the stairs at the end of the bus. Together to the began to raise towards the fourth and highest level where the bus was exposed to the elements and built more like a patio. The bus's engine roared as it crashed down, wheels striking the paved highway hot from their descent, rocking all four levels of Persephone's hull back and fourth.
“Zed you fucking asshole that's Illegal!” Cried out Papillion from back of the second level, sixty feet from Zed at the driver's seat.
“AHhhh They'll never catch us if they tried relax!” Zed cackled hysterically as he waved apologetically to the other drivers he'd nearly ran off the road as their Massive bus, Persephone had been transition from flight mode to her highway configuration. Without missing a beat Scarlett Rolled out of her cot on the third level. She rolled up one of her sleeves and began to pin her hair up into a bun. Her punishment to Zed would be nothing short of Swift and just as she stormed her way towards him, her fist balled tightly as she growled passing the duo on the steps as they ascended.
“Oh! Excuse me Scarlett” Ali spoke as he pressed against the railing to make room for her warpath.
“Good morning Ali” Scarlett growled from behind a clenched jaw as she made her way towards the end of Zed's life.
“You know” Sue spoke as they climbed the steps together.
“When you told us where we were coming I was a little hesitant but I think this might be what we need. A change of scenery!” The two made it up to the top deck. The familiar air and sights from the international highway greeted Ali's eye like the sight of a long lost lover.
“You made it man. Welcome home!” Sue spoke out.
The bus seemed to thrum with the sounds of the music emanating from the indoor speakers on the second level. Affectionately named Persephone the bus was a superhero mobile hideout of sorts containing the once popular hero team “Team Overwatch” Now. They were just Ali's roommates and his closest friends. A group of retired youths looking for an escape
“Thank you Sue..” Ali spoke
“I know you didn't have too it really means alot that you guys..”
“Hey man” She stopped him
“don't start all that Ali nice guy stuff right now, you'll ruin the moment hehe” She mockingly as she outstretched her hands as if to display the city skyline to him.
“Look this is it. You're home, Oolong City! One cease pool of villainy and scum! Tadaa!!” She seemed real proud of herself. Grin spreading from ear to ear. The two of them shared a laugh together. Ali allowing a soft chuckle as his shoulder rocked slightly in amusement and Sue attempting to frame the entire skyline between her outstretched arms in the most obnoxious way possible. Switching her poses in an attempt to find one that could be both annoying and entertaining enough.
“What are you gonna do now that were here?” She would finally say as his soft chuckles began to die down. Ali took in the sights and sounds of the city as the Persephone rolled across the highway en-route to his old home. He hesitated in his response, though his mind was made up.
“I'm going to make things right Sue. Not just for me and my family, but for this city.” His tone was soft and somber. His eyes drifting from building to building with a sadness that seem tighten his throat just enough for her to notice.
“We're gonna make things right. For them.” She spoke as he continued to stare into the distance, the two of them now leaning over the rails. A moment of silence hanging between them.
“What ever happened to retiring again?” She spoke out to him sarcastically
He paused for a second as if weighing her words, considering them for one last time.
“The Green hornet has retired. He died across the sea during that pirate attack along with everyone else as far as the world knows..” He spoke in a hushed tone as if wanting to hide the words from the world itself.
“..and you're sure this is the right way to go about it? Hunting hero's?.. Technically that makes you the bad guy” She took a moment to stretch her back, allowing him to speak out any objections he might have had.
“If we ever come out of retirement we'll have to bring you in and Papillion, ha! God's forbid he finds out..” Sue spoke the words without looking at her friend and former teammate.
A long moment passed between them before Ali would break with a response.
“No.. I am not Sue. I am not sure of any of this but we can't let the others....” Sue placed a firm hand on Ali's shoulder interrupting the sentence.
Turning her head to look into Ali's eyes came her response
“I trust you man. I know and I know how much this means to you” She spoke the words and he knew they were true. He knew by the look they shared that she'd meant them.'
“I just hope you know what you're doing cause if you get your shit ROCKED out there like before I don't know how I am going to explain it to the team hehe” She said as she began to make her way back down the stairs.
Ali simply smiled and nodded in appreciation. As Sue finally descended into Persephone's cabin he lowered his head and his eyes began to fill themselves with a malicious intent. The novelty of being back home having worn off and the reality of it all finally setting in on him.
“It's time to get to work” He whispered to himself softly.
“...I will make you all suffer for your sins..”RP Sample; Persona #1 The
Red Lotus “Ya'know I think It's funny the screams a man will make when he's been held upside down over a pool of acid long enough, don't you?” The Red lotus spoke as wiped a thick strange substance off of his chin before swiping it onto the dirty grime filled floor of the old warehouse the pair inhibited. Kessler watched as it stuck to the ground and pooled into place, like a thick oily blood, his heart began to race as the blood started to rush to his head, bringing on a wave of nausea.
Kessler the mobster was currently hanging by an ankle over a vat of mysterious substance had been a mobster for the better part of the last five years. He'd seen some shit, sure, even been on the wrong side of his fair share of beatings, but this was different. Something was off and the man he'd woken up to, The Red Lotus, was sported a bloody cudgle in one hand, it's tip still dripping in some poor shmucks grey matter onto the floor.
“ahh, ohh god” Kessler cried out as he dangled only a few feet from the pool of thick acid below. Sweat fell off his brow as he look up in fear, body rocking back and force, like a sad pendulum, barely hanging on by its threads. He tried his best not to sway much for fear of what ever was holding his one ankle snapping.
“what is this? How long have I been up here an.. and who the hell are you?!” Kessler cried out as he frantically reach into his vest, scouring it for something.
“Sweet baby jesus” Called out the Red Lotus
“Ugh! I'm so sorry give me one minute” He spoke as he held up something he'd been holding in his hands. A tube, wrapped in aluminum, thick and producing a potent smell Kessler's mind frantically struggled to make out.
“what is this deliciousness? Kalvin?” The Red Lotus spoke as he munched another bit of his new favorite style of some Barbequed Flavored burrito.
“Ahh he spoke aloud The Bass Burrito! I've heard of these”“Hey what the fuck?! That's mine?!” Kessler cried out
“hmm you mean Was yours! Just like this gun I stol...stored..yes. I stored away from your vest earlier” The lotus responded as he held out Kessler's gun in a single hand, along with his wallet, I.D Card hanging off it and signs of obvious tampering
“Aghh, look man, just get me the hell down from here this is making me sick” The Lotus moaned as he savored a bite, not wanting this moment to end as the juices exploded over his taste buds.
“Fuck that's good Bass right there. I'm sorry were you talking kevin?”“..Sorry, one second King, I'm getting to you” The Lotus began to pace as he nonchalantly tossed the man's belongings onto the ground.
“..PLEASE someone help mehheeee!!!” Kessler yelled as he's face swelled with an unflattering pale green.
“Ohh wow, green, huh. That looks gross. Get it together man you're supposed to be a professional” The Lotus spoke in-between bites, seemingly unable to put down his meal as he spoke while staring at his watch.
“Look, buddy I promise you, no ones coming for ya. I'm you're only hope and I am in a good mood. So listen I have a few questions and we can both be about our night. For starters tell me what you know about the...” Doors slammed open as the barrels of several automatic rifles burst into the room as several men began to pour into the room, weapons trained on their position.
“Fuck, me. You guys are early!” Said the Red Lotus, looking back to his watch, confused, if only for a moment.
“Hold it asshole!” A man said to Red as the group began to fan into the room. Six men now held weapons pointed in their direction all them angry, and all them pointed at Red.
A near silence enveloped the room as all men drew in their breathes and tensed for what was sure to come next. Beef, barbequed beef debris smacked onto the floor. A resounding crunch was followed by a sigh of satisfaction, filling tense air with a moan of joy, breaking the silence, even if only for a moment.
“What do you want?! Why are you rounding up our guys!” One of the men said
“Whaaat?! Roundi..? This guy?” He pointed to Kessler in an exaggerate manner.
“Kels? I didn't round him up?.. I mean I DID hang him upside down over a vat of what I TOLD him was acid but he was totally here when I got here” The lotus spoke without an ounce of hesitation as he turned to look back at kessler
“..Sorry about that by the way” He spoke as the man began to finally vomit into the pool
“Alright, that's enough!” One of the men spoke up.
“Grab this fu...” A metallic clang reverberated through the air as the man's rifle was struck aside by Red lotus's
wakizashi, a Shorter version of the Katana. The rifle bounced on the ground, a trail of hot, red, blood followed as the man's screams of sudden surprise filled the room.
“Look pal” The Lotus spoke up. One hand now griping to his extended short sword as it laid outstretch practically kissing another man's throat, and the other holding his BBQ Bass Burrito that he had nearly finished.
“... I had to buy ALOT of food coloring and some special bath bombs to make it seem tub of acid seem convincing, would you believe it almost would have been just as cost effective to just buy an actual vat of acid?! Crazy huh? So now BEFORE we dance I need to get SOME use out of this thing so why don't we start with you telling me who's here is in charge” A grin spread on the Lotus's face as he watched the men load up their weapons and begin to take on more threatening poses, moving to flank him from different angles so as to not catch themselves in crossfire.
