“Heh. Give me all your money, twerp! Or you’re not gonna see another daylight,” a tough-looking man stopped an unsuspecting by-passer in the tarnished streets of Oolong City. It was business as usual for criminals of all sorts-- thieves, murderers, drug dealers, etc. Anyone, traveler or local, had to be wary of trusting a stranger whenever they walk the streets, especially at night. Unfortunately, many still had fallen prey into the hands of random thugs roaming around including this unlucky guy. “Uh… I don’t have much zeni, mister... I'm just about to buy food for my family,” the cowering man replied, knees trembling in panic at the sight of the ugly beefcake. “Eh? That’s not a convincing excuse, fool. You don’t look like a family man to me! Well, if you won’t give it to me peacefully, I guess, I’ll just have to force you,” a large fist would land on the young man’s face. “Man, what a coward ya are, eh?” a stranger wearing traditional clothing appeared from behind the assaulter, gripping his wrist, thus, preventing the punch from hitting its victim. “Listen, ya ugly face. Why steal when ya could be workin’? Work off those muscles, ya know!” Seungkyu let go of the guy’s hand as he warned. Surely, these kinds of jerks wouldn’t listen to preaching, they usually needed a rough up, and the demon prince was more than willing to give it to him. As it was his way of honing his skills in fighting, as he always reasoned out. “Tsk, and why do you care? Heh.Well, lucky me. I have two victims with me now. Now you will give me your possessions as well.” The beefcake would strike the demon’s gut, Seungkyu, feigning to have been hit, would fall on his knees holding his stomach. “Whew. Acting tough. You should’ve not let your guard down, mister.”Forming a devious grin, he would deal a sweep kick, followed by a reversed roundhouse straight up to the thief's face, completely knocking him unconscious. “Heh. Ya shan’t have let yer guard down, mister,” the arrogant demon repeated. He then reached out for the guy's hand, helping him rise to his feet, “Ya alright?”“T-thank you s-sir...h-here. Please, take this as a token of my gratitude,” the man would give a couple of zeni to the foreigner, Seungkyu while being desperately in need, and was tempted to take it, would refuse. Though… if the lad would insist, he might as well accept it. “Eh… hehe. Ya dun have ta, ya know. Ya said yer gonna buy food for family, aight?” He’d say at the same time his stomach growled. Oh, right. Come to think of it, he had not eaten since noon yet. His part-time work made him too preoccupied, and now his demonic nature was beginning to complain negligence to basic necessities. “Please… I insist… Though...if you really don’t want to.. How about I treat you to dinner?”Seungkyu blinked twice. Now, that was something he couldn’t refuse, “Heh. Well, that'd be a nice offer!” with a wide grin, nodding in agreement. The two would then enter a nearby restaurant. While the prince was not a picky eater, given his nature, he’d always prefer to eat meat. However, he would find himself disappointed as he discovered that the shops were being frugal on meat servings lately. [577] [577/6000] ValentusStarting PL: 2,555

Though it may have appeared that the brief incident in the streets of Oolong City had no witnesses, this was not the case. There were certainly no people around who could watch a demon prince beat up a street thug, whether to report it to the police or to the local news - but by the windowsill of one of the buildings surrounding the street, behind a potted plant, a tiny fairy watched the scene. She had a pair of equally tiny binoculars by her eyes, which did not actually do anything for her, but she enjoyed putting on a show. Also, they were technically stolen. But her teammate did not need to know that, and fairy-sized things are so easy to steal that it was hardly a crime. The fairy lowered her binoculars as she watched the demon prince and the nearly robbed passenger make their way to a nearby restaurant, and grinned. " Target acquired," she muttered under her breath and flew off. In under a minute, a fairy and an orange-haired teenager stepped into the restaurant. Valentus was not wearing his standard knight armor this time - he was dressed casually. Or what was casual on this planet, at least - he was more familiar with Tuffle fashion, and fashion of the Tuffle upper class specifically. Thankfully, Paizu was able to pick out something which would be fitting for travelling across the streets of Oolong City without getting anyone's attention. Valentus took a seat by a table next to the one the demon prince and his rescued civilian took, sitting down in such a position that he and the demon were right next to one another, backs facing to each other. Paizu landed on the table, sitting down and yawning faintly. There, the Tuffle spoke up over his shoulder: " Thanks a lot for the help out on that street. One thug down is always better than one on the run. Have you been looking into the meat racket here, too?" Starting PL: 11,756 (333 words, total 910/6000)

“Eey! More ramen bowls ‘ere, please!” The demon yelled, slurping all the noodles he could get from the nearly empty bowl. That was his fifth. He would glance at the guy he saved who barely touched his food, “Iz just okay, right?” Seungkyu inquired with his mouth full. “Uh.yeah..sure, I don’t mind.” In reality, the man was getting a bit worried if he would have enough money to buy food for his family after this treat. If he knew his rescuer was a voracious eater he would’ve thought twice of making the offer. Three more bowls were served, the demon prince widened his eyes in anticipation, although, again disappointed at the meat servings. As his patience declined, he could no longer hold himself back from confronting the crew, “ Ey yo! Why are ya bein’ so shitty on meat ‘ere, ey?! I just noticed yer consistent givin’ me this lil piece. We gonna pay fer it, ya know!”“Sorry, sir. We’re currently experiencing some shortage of meat. We don’t know the reason yet, but if you go to other shops, they’d just tell you the same,” the server said in defense, trembling. “Hrrmm??” Seungkyu stood up, narrowing his eyes with a glare as he examined the staff closely, while the guy could only flinch at the demon’s taunt. He would then lean back somewhat satisfied with his "observation", “Well, ya don look like yer lying. Aight.” He would then go back to his seat and resume enjoying his food. His peer, on the other hand, just stared at him, startled at the prince’s rough attitude. It was at this point that another customer entered the restaurant, an orange-haired teen dressed in a smart casual look with a fairy flying by his side. The raven-haired demon barely took notice since he was too busy savoring the tasty treat. As soon as the newly arrived guy took a seat, he spoke from behind, offering gratitude to someone for beating up a thug in the streets earlier. The demon would look around, searching for some other person who could probably beat up the beefcake but there was no other rough-looking guy inside the shop other than him. “Yer talkin’ to me, pal?” Senungkyu turned around to face the Tuffle, ” Eh.. no need to to thank me, except if yer a police. But ya don look like one.” he would continue to slurp the soup loudly before speaking again, “And whaz dis meat racket ‘bout ey? Ya know anythin’ ‘bout the silly shortage?”[427/1044] [1,337/6,000] Valentus

The demon prince sitting by the table next to Valentus was loud and explosive, arguing with the staff and not hesitating to use any expletives which came to his mind. The Tuffle, meanwhile, was composed and finished his bowl calmly with the necessary table manners before reaching out to his peer over his shoulder. It was not even a difference in metabolism - the average Tuffle was not a big eater, sure, but Valentus was a super soldier, and so anything but average. If he wanted to stay in the restaurant, then he would have ordered several bowls as well.
When Valentus reached out to the man, he first reacted in surprise, before explaining that he was clueless about the meat shortage. Clearly, then, he beat down the thug outside just to help a person in need, not merely in search of how deep the meat racket in this district goes - which was still admirable, and Valentus could not fault the man for it. Had he been there, in the demon prince's boots, he would have stepped into the mugging himself and put a stop to it.
Paizu, meanwhile, was concerned with something else - the little fairy whispered:
"Can you... understand what he's saying? Because I'm struggling to follow..." It was certainly a very rough accent, and spoken in the speed that the man spoke made it sound like a gargled mess of jargon to an unattentive listener. Valentus kept track of it, however. He pushed his empty bowl of ramen aside and answered:
"I've been looking into it, yes. This restaurant's not at fault that they can't put enough meat on your plate - there's a criminal ring that's squeezing them as we speak." His voice was more hushed than before, trying to avoid revealing himself to someone who might have a problem with the young hero's plan. Who knows, the criminal ring in this district might have eyes and ears everywhere.
"Would you be able to meet me outside of the restaurant in a minute?"

Seungkyu continued enjoying his fill as he listened to the ginger head teen, putting large amounts of noodles inside his mouth, and slurping the soup like there was no tomorrow. The boy affirmed the excuse made by the staff earlier, stating that there were criminals behind the said meat shortage. Well, maybe he was indeed a police? Or perhaps a detective under disguise? Strange though that he was accompanied by a fairy if that was the case. And the fairy-- looked like having trouble comprehending him. The tuffle then expressed that he wished to talk to the demon prince outside. Seungkyu looked at his peer, and the guy nodded back as if he understood what his savior meant. “It’s fine. Again, thanks for saving me.”The raven-haired demon then patted the guy’s back, which made him spit the noodles he was eating due to force, “Heh. No worries, pal. Ya been too kind t’me ‘s well.”At once, he finished the last bowl of ramen and slammed it on the table with a satisfied look, wiping his mouth with his arms. “Aight, lez go,” Seungkyu stood up with a large grin and waited for the Tuffle to lead him outside the restaurant. While he seemed to be a rough guy who only knew how to fight, he wasn't dumb to not realize the intention of the stranger. Maybe he was looking for someone to help him purge this meat hoarding that was impeding the supply in the town. Once they found the perfect place to talk, the demon prince would ask to confirm his suspicion, “So, dis ‘bout the meat thieves eh?”[275/1319] [1,947/6000] Valentus

While the demon prince was busy finishing his bowl of ramen and talking it out with the civilian he rescued on the street, Valentus very quickly requested the restaurant staff to bring the tab so he can pay up for the meal. Taking on various missions both across the North and in Oolong city, the Tuffle had built up just enough Zeni to keep himself afloat throughout the days, staying at motels and getting a meal. Nothing like his life on Planet Plant, but he did not bother to complain about it, and besides, years of service under the Tuffle Armed Services and ISLET had done a lot to hammer out the needy reclusive prince he once had been.
"Let's go," Valentus called out and rose from his seat. Paizu took to the air immediately after, and flew outside before either of the men could get the chance to. There, the demon did not waste time and asked for specifics about the meat bandit criminal ring.
"Yeah, exactly that," the Tuffle answered, and folded his arms. "All I have to go off is the description of the case from the Oolong City Mission Board... but from what I figured, about two months ago a gang of bandits from the Pig Demon Duchies established themselves in this part of the city. They halt the flow of fresh meat into the city and run a racket, demanding tribute from the businesses here - then they ship all of the meat to the Duchies and sell it at the black market for exorbitant prices."
Paizu, after settling down on Valentus's shoulder, chipped in to the conversation as well:
"They got a bunch of thugs like the one ya just beat up, but the main ring is, supposedly, defectors from one of the Duchies, who got a bit miffed that their ruler wasn't payin' them and ran off here to make cash. So they have some muscle behind all that spunk."
"Yeah..." Valentus confirmed, and stared the demon prince straight in the eyes. "Why I was speaking to you before is... Well, the racket this ring is running is very punctual, and goes through all of the shops they control to collect tribute every fourteen days. Aaaand that's going to be tonight. So... if we want to put a stop to them, then I could really use your help."

Once they reached a secluded place, the Tuffle began debriefing the raven-haired demon. He mentioned that the incident was put up in some kind of a mission board; and then went about the most intricate details such as what faction the bandits belonged to, what they actually did to halt the supply in the city, and what the current situation was. Seungkyu could care less about all this information, what was important to him was how to stop these meat stealing shenanigans once and for all. His disinterest in the debriefing wouldn’t be evident, however, as he cupped his chin with his thumb, feigning to listen intently to the boy. After the Tuffle had finished, the demon would quickly reply: “Oh yeah? So whut exactly’re we gonna do? Run after’em? Get sneaky and beat’em up? Count me in, pard! But… just ta heads up. Ain’t doin’ diz fer free.”The boy might be startled at his remark. The demon was naturally kind-hearted; he wouldn’t think twice of helping people in need. However, he had basic needs, and he was still getting used to being a wanderer for quite some time now. “Hope ya don get the wrong impression, boy. See, ‘bein an adventurer’s really not my thing. I used ta be a prince from a faraway land. Ever heard of Colorcloud Village in the Eastern Lands? That’s where I’m from.”If ever the ginger head teen had heard it, he would recall that the village was stormed by Namekians some 200 years ago. No village folks left, no noble clans or royal families remained, except for the demon who was rumored to be cursed for an indefinite time. “Anyway, the name’s uh… Raven!” Well, going on some kind of detective mission hyped the demon up. He once had seen a modern television show about secret agents calling themselves by a different name so… maybe he could also have one? Wouldn't be that cool? [333/1652] [2672/6000] Valentus

Offered to join forces with the Tuffle to take down the criminal ring, the demon prince suddenly turned the request around - while he was fine with the prospect, he was not going to do it for free. He introduced himself as a prince from a faraway land and mentioned the village he's from, asking whether either of them were familiar with it. Valentus raised his finger and was about to state that he wasn't, but suddenly, Paizu flew forth and yelled: " Oh, I know! I was there once!" She said so just in time as the man introduced himself as Raven - which got the fairy to raise her eyebrow. " Wait, but that name doesn't sound-" " Nice to meet you, then. My name is Valentus, and she is Paizu," the Tuffle interjected and introduced himself - the fairy made a brief salute as her name was spoken. Now, what do they do about the whole "I'm not doing this for free" thing... Valentus was not the sort of person who could just flout cash around, he struggled to make a living himself. So, the request briefly got him lost in thought, before he considered who they're going to be dealing with. A criminal ring, which has been extracting illicit wealth from this neighbourhood for months - while some of it may be returned to their rightful owners, a lot of what the criminals have gathered may never find their owner now. So... " We'll figure something out. We're dealing with criminals, who have a lot of ill-gotten money in their pockets," Valentus answered, then Paizu interjected: " And meat, too!" " -and meat, yeah." the Tuffle added. At least, since Raven clearly had a liking for it, that might help sway the demon prince to work with them. " Alright, so the plan is simple..."
The night rolled in all across Oolong City, and while the lights of the city did not die down completely, everything turned a lot more empty and a lot less bright. A little further down the road from the restaurant stood a meat butcher's shop - whose staff, already anticipating what was about to happen tonight, were already hauling meat from their fridges onto the shop floor and getting ready to carry it. Valentus requested Raven to wait on the other side of the street, where a handful of apartment blocks stood - the Tuffle himself, meanwhile, waited atop the butcher's shop, crouching behind a large air vent. He was already in his knight armor - the reddish cape fluttered from his shoulders and the Radiant Blade was attached to his belt. Paizu was flying in the air and watching the streets - before suddenly turning around and flying back to the Tuffle. A loud screech immediately followed. A fridge truck drove into the street - two cars were driving alongside it, one in the front and one in the back. The three vehicles stopped by the butcher's shop gracefully. Immediately, several mooks stepped out of the larger car behind the truck, chattering amongst themselves and making their way towards the shop. The front car remained closed. Three men were inside of that car, playing some pop music inside and chilling. In the past, the trio were known as some of the most powerful retainers of a Pig Demon lord - but now, in troubled times, they assumed new clothes and identities to go with their new criminal gig - Tic, Tac and Toe. It was understandable that the fairy didn’t find his name convincing, but didn’t he need an alias if he were to be some sort of a hero? That’s what the shows were about these days, weren’t they? He wasn’t starring in one, sure, but… weren’t they reflections of reality? Anyway… the Tuffle introduced himself as Valentus, and the cheerful fairy, Paizu, quite an odd pair, he thought. And he wondered if they were getting along in their adventures, well, the boy seemed kinda patient, maybe he was putting up with the little pixie. His offer made Valentus sink in deep thought, but eventually, he spoke up stating that they would figure something out. That didn’t sound convincing at all yet the Tuffle looked sincere so Seungkyu still agreed to help. If ever they didn’t stick to their promise, he decided he could just tag along with them-- as they seemed experienced adventurers. They probably had a better way to feed themselves. If the guy was looking at every city’s mission boards, it must be good business, and maybe it was better than getting odd jobs such as being a dishwasher at restaurants or cleaning staff at some establishments. His rough attitude didn’t seem to suit such kinds of work.
Now, as they strode along the busy streets, Valentus explained the details of their plan. He was made to wait on the other side of the street, still in perfect view of the butcher shop which was supposed to be the target of the meat thieves for this night. Catching glances at the shop, he finally saw the criminals on the move as three vehicles stopped by, with the fridge truck sandwiched between two cars. Looking up to the roof, he saw his comrade in wait, and seemingly changed his costume, revealing a cape, which made him look like some sort of a valiant knight. The thugs stepped out of the fridge truck-- the group was a mix of humans and beastmen, most had rough faces and beefcake muscles-- fitting of stereotypical gang members. “Collection time,” one of the mooks called out to the butcher shop owner. As he was expecting the raid, he had already prepared large portions of carcass meat in huge containers. Another hooligan checked the said containers first before hauling them over to the truck. The boxes were filled with lean, reddish cuts with little to almost zero fat-- a bunch of high-grade meat. Satisfied with their spoils, the mooks donned a sly grin on their faces. Their bosses would definitely be proud, and probably reward them big time. As soon as the inspection was done, the cases were carried over to the vehicle. One beastman, unsatisfied with their loot, approached the owner, “Hehehe… maybe you also have some cash in there. We haven’t had our dinner yet, so perhaps we could use some of your… you know, earnings for the day.”As frustrated as he was, he didn’t have any choice, in fear for his life, the butcher withdrew all the zeni in his cash register and handed them over to the thug. He was visibly trembling, wishing, hoping that somewhere around the corner, there’d come somebody who could save him from such a dire situation. [553/2,205][3,795/6,000] Valentus

Valentus was itching to rise from his cover and storm down into the butcher's shop, and he was sure Raven was thinking the same thing as well - though all he could hear was talking muffled by several layers of walls, he could already tell what the conversation was revolving around. Here, however, he had to restrain himself from jumping in.
If you are a shop owner living in a district terrorized by criminals, helpless and risking your life, then all you can really hope for is for someone to destroy the ring while keeping you out of it. Imagine, what happened, if someone inside of the shop pulled out a baseball bat, or a sword, and started fending off the mooks? Even if it was someone off the street, it wouldn't matter, and the criminal ring would respond with vengeance - they'd pay with far more than just their produce at that point.
So, Valentus was hoping for them to ambush the criminal ring outside of the shop. There, they would really be labelled as two uppity teenagers of the street trying to play hero. There, even if they screwed up somehow, they wouldn't get innocent people to face retribution.
Slowly, the Tuffle sneaked forward, approaching the edge of the rooftop. With a smirk on his face, the beastman in the shop ripped out a handful of Zeni banknotes straight out of the shop owner's hands and turned around. As the thugs filtered out, carrying boxes of meat with themselves, they struck conversation between each other, discussing the latest Brussuls movie. A few enjoyed it, a few thought that it's too mainstream compared to the legendary movie star's first appearance, and a handful hadn't seen the movie at all and were just nodding along.
They're distracted. Perfect. Valentus pulled out his sword and held it by the middle, like a throwing spear, and pointed to the sky with the other hand - Paizu got the signal and flew up, the tiny fairy almost impossible to see from the surface of the street. Suddenly, the Tuffle tossed his weapon over the edge of the rooftop - it struck the side of the car, embedding itself and instantly getting everyone to turn in the direction of the throw.
Paizu immediately cast a flash of light from her wings, flickering in the direction where Raven was supposed to be hiding. Hopefully, he receives the signal to attack.

Time seemed to run slow as they waited for the right moment to attack. Seungkyu was growing a little bit impatient, but he’d rather get a hold of himself than screw the plan; otherwise, they had only toiled for naught. He fixed his eyes on the other side of the street, continuing his observations while glancing from time to time at the shop’s roof where Valentus and the fairy were. He saw a handful of bank notes taken to the rear car while the boxes of meat were being hauled over the fridge truck. The delight with the spoils was evident on the mook’s faces, he just couldn’t wait to teach them some lessons. At last, eternity has passed when the Tuffle struck his sword on the front vehicle, which caught the thug’s attention. The demon eventually shifted his gaze above, confirming if it was his partner’s doing to signal their assault. Seungkyu nodded and ran stealthily across the street, hiding behind the truck first. Eventually he charged against one of the thugs, punching him in the face as he used his other hand to grab the head of another next to him and slam it on the third person in the line. Thankfully, there was an alleyway on the side of the butcher shop, which was apparently a dead end. Great, then they could use this as the battle ground instead of causing commotion in the middle of the street. While he was busy dealing with the three, the beast man attacked from behind, attempting to stab him on his side; with his heightened senses as a demon, however, he was able to predict the movement, although the knife caught his palms instead. Blood trickled down his hand but that did not deter him from making an offense. With the knife being stuck on his hand, he used it to trap the beast man with him, clutching the enemy's hand so he wouldn’t be able to get away. He then smacked his head against the furry man first, pulled out the knife and the grabbed him again to throw him on the wall. “Well, whatta bunch of cowards are y’all. Now yer gonna pay for all that stolen meat!”he declared as he cracked his knuckles indicating he wasn't done with their punishment. [392/2,507] [4,589/6000] Valentus

Just as Valentus had hoped, Raven showed up when he saw the call, and thus the distracted criminals found themselves slammed in the back by a ferocious demon prince. A faint, content smile appeared on the Tuffle's face, and he swooped down from the rooftop to join the fight.
Of the three criminals whom Raven struck at the beginning of his assault, one fell onto the street on his back - and before he could rise back up to his feet to threaten the demon prince again, an armored foot suddenly stomped down on his chest, instantly knocking the wind out of him. Valentus did not waste his time after the heroic landing - immediately, he sent an elbow into the side of the nearest thug, forcing them to collapse to one knee. From the frame of the truck, he pulled out the embedded sword and briefl spun it in his hand.
It did not take long for Valentus to be forced to use it. While he and Raven were dispatching of the common thugs, the doors of the car in the front popped open. Tic, Tac and Toe were clearly not happy with what they were seeing and hearing - less afraid and more frustrated that someone was disrupting their operations again. The sound of seatbelts popping off followed, while the music played by the radio died down and-
"Watch out!" Valentus called out. In an instant, he raised his sword and lunged forward - in the blink of an eye, Tac lunged out of his seat and his blade was stopped by the Tuffle's inches away from Raven's head.
"What's the count so far, Toe?" Tac muttered under his breath, smirking, as he glanced behind his shoulder. The raven-haired former samurai answered bluntly, all while he and Tic drew their own blades:
"Three, Tac. Three times this week we've had some wanna-be heroes get in our hair."

Seungkyu instantly docked as soon as he heard Valentus’ warning; he also sensed the presence of the person coming out of the car, but it was thanks to the tuffle that he was able to dodge his assault. “Heh. You must be the gang leaders,” the demon prince muttered with a grin, stomping on one of the thugs who was already unconscious under his feet. Seungkyu could tell they were not merely criminals, their ki signatures were far more powerful than the thugs. One of them mentioned that they already face two other “hero wannabes” interrupting their operations; so if they were still out here, menacing the butcher shops for their selfish gains, that meanst the trio should not be taken lightly. Even so, there was no way he was backing out, even if they were a bit outnumbered. Well… they had a fairy on their side, so… guess it was just a fair game? A three-on-three battle? Whether Paizu would be a help or not, Seungkyu could only guess. The knight tuffle seemed strong anyway. Perhaps, just the two of them taking down these three would suffice. Now one of their enemies drew their swords, the demon left his naginata in the house he was currently staying in, so he would just have to use his fists-- or claws. At once, there was a surge in his ki energy, and in an instant, his body transformed into a half-dragon, with his scale-like arms and sharp claws. His fangs also grew rapidly and his eyes turned into crimson red. He suddenly lunged forward towards one of the bosses-- to the raven-haired guy, harrowing him with those deadly talons by the neck. Whether he was able to wound his target or not, he would follow up with a kick to his chest, only to get him off balance, and then pounce him to the ground with the aim of ripping him off his flesh. That was for all those carcasses the gang had stolen. [333] [5237/6000] Valentus

After his successful block of Tac's sword swing, Valentus moved his weapon back, holding it by his side defensively, watching the three former samurai draw their own weapons one after the other and get ready to duel. Instinctively, he could what their fighting styles were like just from their stature and the way they held their weapons alone. All three clearly relied more on offense rather than defense...
"Oh, this will be good," Paizu muttered under her breath and backed off to the air, finding a vantage point on top of one of the trucks and watching the scene below. Soon, Raven charged forward - and much to the surprise of the three criminals, he struck not Tac, who had swung his sword first, but instead his dark-haired partner, who barely got the time to raise his sword before the transformed demon prince assaulted him with a barrage of sharp talons. The following kick struck Toe straight in the chest, almost knocking the wind out of him.
"This twerp..." he gushed out under his breath, falling to one knee - then raised his sword in a horizontal stance to block Raven's bloodthirsty pounce. Streaks of purple ki coursed around his blade, before suddenly releasing outwards as an electric shock - as Raven was now in contact with the former samurai's sword, all of that electric current aimed at him.
"Toe, you doing alright?" Tac called out, before being suddenly forced to block a sword swing himself - Valentus charged at him, a single blow by his Radiant Blade powerful enough to deflect his weapon away and almost throw him onto the pavement. Tic joined the fray as soon as he saw his ally on the back foot - two blonde former samurai now surrounded the Tuffle from either side, aiming to use their numbers to their advantage.
As they both attacked, however, they saw that their opponent was far stronger and more nimble than either of them anticipated. Swinging his sword from one side to another, blocking blows while keeping both opponents at bay, Valentus could check them both without much difficulty - though, the lack of numbers meant that all he could do was defend.

The pounce was blocked with a sword, and while he struggled to get through, the enemy channeled an electric shock through his sword. Seungkyu released the blade for a moment, ducked in case the man swung his sword and would kick his shin instead. Once he got down on his knees, the demon would grab him by the neck and throw him on the brick walls at the dead end. Now that he had taken down one, he could now help his comrade deal with the other two. Valentus was busy blocking the assault of the two blonde samurai, and was denied the opportunity to make a counter offense. It was at this point that the half-dragon joined the ramble, pulling one of the unguarded samurai to his side, punching him in the face. Seungkyu was careful enough not to use his ki-based projectiles since they were in a public area as it would be troublesome to hit a building or a passerby by accident. He kept pummeling the blonde, not allowing him to retaliate back until he was knocked unconscious. “Hah. That should take care of it.”Looking over to the tuffle, he would ask, “ So, what’s next? Tie ‘em up? Report ’em to the police?”
Oh right, there were meat that needed to be hauled over back to the butcher shop. The demon prince initiated loading the boxes off the truck. Once everything was retrieved, the butcher would bow down in gratitude to the heroes and offer some juicy meat in celebration of their victory. [258] 5,855/ 6,000 Valentus
