Juniper walked along the frozen coast of the northern border, leaving behind a trail of deep footsteps from her okobo sandals, twirling her parasol to block the light snowfall from her designer kimono. By her side was a hovering octopus that mastered the sky dance art by using ki to enjoy the sights. The Western style clothing was different from the tunics and fur outfits from the locals who lived in the Northern Lands and North City. Contrast to serene snow covered hills, she stood out with the vibrant colors of the fabric, neon blue tasuki ribbons kept her drop sleeves from dragging across the ground until she stopped by a large snow covered boulder. Within her pocket, she dug out a DynoCapsule, clicked it and a blue cloud revealed a western style sushi cart complete with stools and a roof. Hachi the black octopus dove into the sea pulling out a fresh northern island salmon and a halibut. After turning on the rice cooker, he immediately used a tentacle to hit the fish so hard their life force escaped their bodies, and he hung the salmon on a hook by its mandible. The halibut was immediately prepared, scaled, and fillet with expert tentacles. The Dandelion Princess elegantly took a seat on the bar stool, she poured herself some hot tea from a small kettle behind the counter, and began to sip the oolong tea carefully. The warm liquid turned her pale complexion into a rose tint on her cheek. As soon as she was done drinking her tea, refilling a second cup, the halibut sashimi was elegantly dissected and displayed on a long dish without its head. Several small porcelain dishes surrounded the counter top, with soy sauce, ginger, wasabi, salt, and toasted sesame seeds. A pair of chopsticks was handed over to Juniper, which she took with a passive smile, while bowing her head slightly. “Ittekamasu!” The cobalt eyed demoness clasped her hands together and she used the chopsticks to pick up a perfectly sliced raw halibut with the tips. The snow fall reminded Vyllan of the dining table in the castle of the Demon Kingdom. Softly it would fall on the already snow packed ground, the fortress almost hidden by the countless months of snow. Right about now he would be inside of the dining hall, sitting at the long U-shaped, black mahogany table, facing the fire in the middle of the U to give warmth to those who sat to dine, weather it be slave, demon, or guest. Though the demons can't feel neither cold nor heat in extremes like the humans, it still felt nice to be in the warmth of pyre.
Being drawn out from his reverie, by the smell of tea tickling his nose. The fiend followed the scent like a hound dog until he came to a sushi stand with a woman sitting at it and an octopus making sushi. "What the fuck is this witch-craft?" he stated out loud, forgetting that he should have been silent, scoped and scouted to make sure she was a friendly. Well, guess it's time to make friends.

Brimstone was the first indication that a demon was nearby, Juniper slowly ate the halibut meat, even the shouting did not alarm the pair at the pop-up sushi stall in the middle of endless snow covered grounds. The Dandelion Clan Princess turned her head elegantly, then deadpanned at the weak demon before her cobalt blue eyes, and it was not just his power level that gave it away. It was the way he carried himself, his overall appearance, and the aura that surrounded him. As a mystic who specialized in healing the bodies of mortal or immortal beings over the years she knew well enough what a strong person looked like with a single glance; her husband Koma Daimyo was one of them.
“After acquiring a legendary dragon ball shard, I have been able to use its power to harness ailments, like a witch. However, it is only because I wanted to cure such spells, if the circumstances ever crossed my path. Greetings,” Juniper bowed her head gently, “I am Juniper of the Dandelion Clan. Do I have the pleasure of knowing your name, demon?”
In the secret world of demons on earth, demon clans despised each other, earthlings would never know that every demon was a rival to one another, they simply labeled their kind as chaotic. The arrival of Vyllan was privy to suppressing her demonic side, beyond the exotic perfumes, the scent of tea, and freshly caught salt brined fish was the ash and brimstone smell of a demoness.
“I would like to introduce Hachi. An octopus that has mastered the sky dance art from Crane School up in the east end of the Northern Lands. As well, as a sushi chef master from the Western Lands, care to join us? Pull up a seat.” [298] Vyllan

With the way the demon carried herself, Vyllan knew she was powerful. 'Has it really been so long of me fighting that I lost power?' Vyllan thought to himself. He slightly bowed back to her out of respect, but keeping his eyes trained on her and staying away of his surroundings. He listened to her explain about a dragon ball shard and the octopus Hachi. After she introduced herself, he did the same.
"My name is Vyllan. I am associated with no clan, but I share a small seat with in Dark Kingdoms." He waved his hand at all the smells and sight of the sushi bar. "If not for all the extra finesse, I would have been able to smell you. But it seems that you'd rather not be disturbed either; I shall take your request and sit with you."
Vyllan walked over and cautiously sat, eyeing everything around him. He looked up at the octopus and cleared his throat. "I would the Alaskan roll, please," he said cordially. "So, what are you doing out here, demoness. And can you explain to me more about these dragon ball shards?"

“It is nice to meet you, Vyllan-san.” Juniper acknowledged his attempts of formal western land greeting, as he took a seat, he noted that the smell of ash and brimstone was well hidden. A smile formed on her face, she held a complacent expression for some time, and it was widely understood that she was nearly human in appearance. “For every truth I share you must share one of your own in return. The dragon ball shards hold great power, a fragment of what was once whole, and are rare to come by. I am simply having a meal break prepared by Hachi whilst my husband Daimyo of the Dandelion Clan surveys the area. What brings you out here? Are you presently in your true form, Vyllan-san?”On an ordinary day, Juniper would rather be called by her name or title rather than ‘demoness’, but the circumstances determined that no one was around to eavesdrop. Hachi bowed in acknowledgement, the octopod did not have vocal cords, but understood body language and the method to detect sound waves. Since there was an additional order of food requested by a new guest, a white head band with the Dandelion Clan kamon was tied around his head, and immediately began to prepare the alaskan rolls. Cucumber, crab meat, and avocado were batonnet cut and placed on a loosely piled sushi grade rice, the black tentacles rolled the nori sheet invertedly so that the extra rice on the other end was on the outside. The long roll of white rice sat on the cutting board as the octopus hovered over to the northern sea salmon, with blades on each tentacle, to scale, and fillet. After the salmon meat was brined in salt water, large sections were placed in a freezer display in front of the guest counter, and a small block of fish meat was delicately sliced thinly and placed over the long log of rice. Each piece was then sliced off into sections, a sprinkle of white and black sesame seeds decorated the plate before it was placed in front of the demon along with a pair of chopsticks. The knives were then washed in a tiny sink, the excess water was tossed into the snow, and a plate of salmon sashimi was then prepared for Juniper after she finished her fill of the halibut. "Well then," Vyllan stated as he quickly thought about his answer, "I'm training out here. It seems that my time being inactive has weakened me." He began to watch the octopus dance in the air behind the sushi stand, quickly working and eloquently before the Alaskan roll was placed before him, clearly made by a master and perfectionist.
"For your last question, it's a yes and no." He grabbed a pair of chopsticks and picked up the sushi rolls between the two wooden utensils. "I know that this body is of flesh and bone, but I feel that through out the ages I left behind a form made of plasma and space dust."
Vyllan plopped the roll into his mouth and began to eat it, savoring the taste and flavor of the meat and the roll. It was delicious, and Vyllan swallowed it quickly. "Another, please. It was scrumptious." Vyllan turned to Juni and addressed her with two more questions. "How long have you searched for these dragon ball shards? Are you in presently in your true form?"
Vyllan was licking this Socratic method of getting to know each other. It was better than spying and sneaking about to get information. You can get up close and personal to someone, and that's something he liked, in case he had to eradicate the person.

“Weakness defines strength simply by comparison.” Juniper stated the obvious, “Ah, so you’re a demon from the farthest reaches of the solar system. Nothing has changed since the beginning of time among our kind. Demon clans are rivals to one another, we are still violent by nature, and earthlings see us as a chaotic force to avoid and lay judgement on. My own demonic mother would take advantage of your weakness to end your life, as a rival to our demon clan, but I am establishing a new world order with the Dandelion Clan by challenging the strongest demon on earth: Piccolo Daimao.”
Hachi nodded his head, pleased to know that Vyllan enjoyed the roll, and prepared a second masterfully. It was apparent that this sentient octopod was an expert in the art of sushi, as a sea creature who enjoyed the same type of cuisine, it was crafted with good taste in mind along with simplicity of the umami flavors of the fish.
The additional plates were presented to the demon pair seated at the make-shift sushi bar, the condiments were refilled, and the used dishes were washed in a small sink behind the counter by the hovering octopus.
“Not for long, my family had been in possession of a shard as a dowry, and after I was married it was crafted into a sword for my husband. In exchange, the shard his family presented was crafted into a paint brush. I am a master of the four arts with a specialization in calligraphy, and it has allowed me to cast spells beyond my knowledge as a mystic.”
Juniper ate slowly, enjoying mostly tea, while taking her time consuming raw fish with a pair of chopsticks as the frigid atmosphere preserved the meal.
“I am not in my true form. My human appearance is appealing to earthlings I may encounter compared to my demon form. Why do you cast away your true form, Vyllan-san?” [325] [1,014] Vyllan
