Cold... Fury... Hate... Rage... There was so much that could be easily used to describe how Renkon felt, but at this point, it wasn't a serious thing. He was trapped in this orb of darkened energy, magic he supposed, and he raged against the walls that constricted him. It fed off his power, at least the small creature had said it would. He would be trapped in this prison for the rest of his life but at the same time, his life was going to be unending. A prison worthy of a Saiyan, to be forgotten in the tides of time, and never able to do anything about it. Angered fists slammed against the walls, he screamed and roared out, and finally, enough was enough... But it wasn't he that broke it, instead, it was a ripple across space and time. It was something he would have never known about, at least not the truth of it, but it had an impact on his would be prison cell.
Across the face of it, a crack appeared. Barely big enough for his fingers, he didn't have time to think or ask questions. He slammed his hands through, grabbing the energy with both hands and screaming out his fury. He let his power roar around him, pressing hard against the barrier around him and finally, with a monstrous effort he was able to shatter the energy shell, the spell burned away around him, and he crashed hard against the ground. Darkness overtook his mind and his eyes closed. Perhaps this was the death they had spoken of? He would get free, but never know of any of it as the effort would have killed him? Maybe... But then, when you are dead, why did everything hurt? Didn't you stop hurting when you died? If not, this was going to be the worst afterlife ever...
His eyes finally opened, and he realized he wasn't dead, just laying on the ground in a world of hurt. Nothing felt right at least. The battles he had been doing was simple enough, but this was a strain like nothing else. Pushing himself up to his feet, he shook his head softly and tried to clear his head. It all felt like it was covered in fuzz, and the world was not the same. He saw that almost instantly. The sky was a blue color for starters, not a greenish color. The ground was green though, and not an orange brown color. Next up, the creature that was walking near by was some kind of animal. It was trying to keep away from him, as if fearful... smart. It didn't know what he was, so a potential threat was the best option. He pushed himself fully upright, crossing his legs as he tried to regain his full focus. He took a moment to steady his heart, his mind, and everything. Once the rage had ended, he stood up, trying to figure out which way he wanted to go first. He needed to scout this world, and the air was going to be the best way.
Without any hint of fear, Renkon crouched down and then jumped into the air, heading towards the snow capped mountains. He was smiling as he flew through the air, letting the wind hit him and just taking it all in... But... He wasn't gaining altitude like he was used to it. He looked around for a moment, confused at maybe everything was just massive? Was he tiny? And then the realization hit him like a ton of bricks. He wasn't flying... He had just propelled himself with serious force. Alternate landing modes were needed. He curled up as best as he could, shielding his stomach with his legs and knees, and his face with his forearms. He impacted the branches of the tress and tore through them for a short ways until he impacted the solid body of a tree. Energy was bled off, and he came crashing down into the ground itself. Luckily he was unhurt, and the snow and ground were softer than he was. Bouncing several times, he pushed himself to his feet and looked at his hands, trying to figure out what went wrong so quickly. He tried to focus his energy, and the orb of power was made easily enough. A frown was on his lips, his energy wasn't sealed up by anything so what was this?
"It should be like walking or breathing for me." He said, looking to the sky for a moment and then... "Nothing..." He sighed deeply, shaking his head as he worked to solve this mystery. There had to be more to it that he wasn't recalling right away. He pointed his hand upwards, firing the blast and letting it weaken as it went up. So that was still functional. He frowned a bit more, trying to remember what the basics were for everything... And shaking his head as he couldn't recall them so easily. How many things had slipped away from him in that time warp he was trapped in? He grumbled a bit, starting to walk deeper into the woods. He was going to need to lair down now, at least until he could figure out things for himself and be able to fight back against what all had been done to him. His eyes scanned around, and then he found it. It was almost poetic on what he was used to back on Planet Vegeta.
A small cave, or at least what passed for a cave, rested with small bit of snow upon the stones. He walked to it, starting to do his inspection. The cave was shallow, but he could easily fix that. Bringing his ki blade to life once more, he used it as a simple light source. Nothing seemed to be resting in this place, the debris on the bottom of it told him it was simply there. Good, he could work with this pretty easily.

Now came the harder part of it all. He stepped in, starting to use his boots to clear away the debris and the decaying plant matter at the bottom of the cave. It took only a few moments to find the stone, allowing him a small grin as he did so. Each brush with his boots allowed more and more of the stone to be exposed, until he had built up a small pile on the white snow outside. Using the energy of his ki blade, he next went to work on the most slow process... Finding every damned crack in the stonework in order to keep the rain out for a while. He could fancy this up in a little bit, basics first, more advanced things later on. For now, it was time to work. With the floor cleared, and the blade slowly being used to heat up the stone, and turn into a make shift weld, he worked along the edge of the stone and deeper into the small cave.
It had taken over an hour, but it was done. He walked along the edge and pondered what to do here, he wasn't going to make it invisible, but he would need to keep things warm for himself while he rested. If it was cold now, at night it would be worse. Fire, fuel for said fire, and food were going to be of the up most importance. He wasn't sure what plants on this world he could eat, or how they would do havoc to his system, but meat was usually rather universal. He had seen animals already, so he knew there was plenty of life on the landscape. It was all a matter of trying to secure it all. Standing in the snow, he let his energy well up around him, pushing the snow away and making it evaporate for the moment. It would probably fall again soon, but he didn't care about that right now.
Walking to a tree, he looked over it, nodding his head slowly as he took it all in. Hopefully this was made of something semi solid and it would turn into a goo when he cut it. He jumped up, cutting off a branch and landing on the ground. He caught it and looked over it. It was solid, much like the trees on Planet Vegeta. It was not as dense, but that was alright. He jumped up into the air once more, less power, but grabbed a fair number of branches on his way up and down. He landed with these. They wouldn't be the best for making a bed, but with the layer of snow on the ground, he was better with all this. It wasn't wet, and he could quickly dry it out with a burst of energy. That wasn't going to the main problem, for him at least. The main problem was going to figuring out why half his powers didn't seem to want to work any more.
Walking over with the branches in hand to the area he had cleared out, he started to strip away the leaves, taking them into one hand and dropping the sticks onto the cleared ground. He would need to make two locations for a fire. One to keep him warm, one for cooking. Assuming these sticks burned well, he should be able to have no issues with this. Inside of the cave, there was a small shelf where he stuffed the pine needles, looking at the inside of his small cave and wondering what he could do to what part in order to make it the best for him in this situation. Using his energy, he started to slowly cut out a slot in the stone wall. This would serve him well as the base of the bed he would be making, very much shaped like the bunks of the old ships for planet based travel. Nothing too extensive, but it was something to at least bring a bit of comfort. As he pulled the stones free, cutting them in small sections, he tossed them to the front, outside so he could start building was needed. For now, he had a plan at least, so it would help.
Slowly, the bunk space was made, with stones tossed outside so he could let it cool. Once it did cool, he pushed the pine leaves onto the flat surface and leveling it out. Once that was done, he went back to the trees, snatching more of the pine needles and branches, landing in the snow and walking back. Each time he did this, he added another layer to both the branches and the bedding material, once it was thick enough for him, he went back to the branches. They were smaller than his fingers in thickness, and very green, and an idea popped into his head. Finding the longest of them, he used that as the baseline for the grid he was making. With a slow caution, he started to weave the branches, bending them only a little bit each time, working to make a simple door. He could cut down a tree, but at this point, he didn't have any metal to make proper nails, so this would have to work. Each row was woven carefully, expanding it slowly out until he had used all the branches he had, going to collect more from the trees. It was cutting back on the cover he had from the snow, but making him better in the long run.
With the door built, he set it against the entry way, smiling a bit. "This is a good start..." He said moving the door to one side, grabbing some of the stones he had cut out and bringing them back into the shelter. Again, the ki blade ignited, and he cut the blocks of stone, using the heat to melt them a bit more and fuse the stones back together. It wasn't much, it never would be, but he could make it work without metal. He worked each stone so there was a secure base, a second stone a few inches off the ground so he didn't break the stones it was sitting on. And opening was left to feed in the wood and then a simple top was made. From there came the hard part, he placed his fist against the back wall of this and closed his eyes. Energy formed around his hand and closed his eyes. With intense focus, he fired the beam, keeping it smaller, but straight and angled. It cut through the enclosure without damaging it more than was needed. With that, he had an opening to let the smoke out. He wasn't sure if the wood here could cause him problems, but he didn't want to risk it.

Moving outside, he inspected the smoke outlet hole he made. It would do fine, but the angle could allow snow and rain to get into the pipe... He looked around quickly, seeing a small rock sticking up from the snow and walking to it. With a quick pull, he got it free from the ground, just big enough to allow him to use energy to weld it to the stone just above the smoke outlet. This would keep it shielded from the elements as much as possible for now. It wasn't a lot, but it helped. Every bit helped, and on a world he knew very little about, he was going to need to move quickly to get the things he needed done in a timely manner. He wanted nothing more than to be done with the cold, feeling the shiver up his spine from the elements so far. He had most of what he needed at this point as well, it was about making sure everything was solid for him overall now. Thinking about rain, he knew he needed to make a way to protect himself as best as possible from flooding. He could find some over hang stones soon, for now, he ignited his ki blade again, using that to carve a pathway for rainwater to run down, so it follows an easier path away from his front door. If things got dire, could make collection spots so he can gather up all the water he can.
Walking around the rock shelter, he nodded his head slowly. Water, fuel for fires, food, and perhaps quickly being able to tan some hides to help insulate his shelter and he would be good to go for a long time. As long as the beings on this world weren't so far above him in terms of strength that he became prey, it would be good. He took a moment now, letting his body rest for a moment fore he started to scan around with his eyes, seeking a game trail or some kind of sign of where the animals could be for him to hunt. Seeing one, he got up and covered the entrance with the woven branches, helping to keep things out of it. Now was the time to go hunting, and he took off quickly enough, moving at a fair bit of speed as he went to track animals. It didn't take long before he came across animal prints, deep into the snow, rounded of some kind of large animal. He landed on his feet, sliding to a stop. He needed to figure out what was going on with his ability to fly... He was already tired of not having it. It had not even been a day, and he realized just how slow he was without it. Frustrating beyond words.
He could see a large herd of animals, covered in a thick fur and only some of them having massive horn like objects on their heads. Those ones were larger as well, stockier than most, and those would be his targets. He lowered himself down, looking at the herd and drawing his physical knife. It wasn't much, but the metal was best for taking down the animals without destroying the flesh. He waited for the look out of the group to turn his head, looking away before bursting forwards like a bat out of hell. His blade danced out, removing the spirit of the animal in short order, and heading into the herd. The blade danced out again, a slash across the necks of several of them causing them all to drop a moment later. The herd quickly scattered, rushing in all directions away from the suddenly arriving threat. As they ran, he saw the ones he had slain, all laying on the ground and their mighty spirits now gone. He walked to the bodies, picking each one up and throwing it over his shoulder. With each one on his shoulder, he walked back towards the camp. This was going to take some time, but he could at least really do a lot with five of these creatures. The hides alone would keep him warm, line his bed and protect from the elements. It was a win with more winning for him. Arriving at his camp, he looked at the near by trees, trying to decide which of them needed to come down...
Fire wood, these creatures might take some time to cook. There was a tree that appeared dead. The snow covering it was enough of a marker to show him that it was dead. No leaves, no needles, nothing. A swift punch, and it was falling down to the ground. Again, he moved quickly, grabbing the falling tree and pulling it towards his home. It only took a few sections to break apart the tree, layer it out so he could have fire wood. His eyes went back to his main prize now, the animals he had killed and was ready to butcher them. With his knife returning to his hand, he walked over, starting strip the hides off the beasts, cutting away flesh from hide, setting the meat in the snow so it remains cold so it doesn't go bad at all. It was going to be a good harvest from how these creatures seemed to be, covered in meat and fat to use for cooking as well. This was a good harvest. Setting the antlers to one side, the skull was set to another side as well, he was going quickly through the animals, setting the useless parts to one side to dispose of in a few moments. With the hides laid out now, and the meat fleshed off and cooling, he opened his hand, letting loose a low level energy beam. It was enough to cook the hide, to make them useable. The heat would pop any parasites on the other side as well, cleaning the fur off as well. It was two for the price of one really, now he was set.

Taking the hides inside, he tossed them onto the bed he made. He could adjust them as needed so he wasn't laying directly on the pine needles, but now it was time to get something to eat. Walking back outside, he started to grab up the wood that he had splintered, bringing that back into the cave shelter he had built, his lair, and put them into the simple stove he had built. Once those had been laid out and stacked properly, he lit it up with his energy, focusing a small beam to cause them to burst into flames. It was easier than he expected, and he smiled at this. If the meat was at least edible, it was going to be very good. He watched the fire and the smoke, and saw how it was leaving through the tube he had cut in the stone. Good, good, this was wonderful.
Going back outside, he walked over to the meat he had carved up, starting to grab up several large slabs, cutting them smaller pieces to place upon his simple stove and smiling as he did so. He was reminded of all the time he spent doing this once upon a time... Back before the war, before the traveling to other worlds. Going hunting with only a spear, keeping his energy as suppressed as possible, and hunting by hand. It was seen as more honorable, more exciting, and often allowed the person in question to bag the stronger, bigger, and better beasts on the world. Having to do battle against some beings as well, like Thunderclaws or rampaging Roabs. All of the creatures on Planet Vegeta, both prey and predator, all were dangerous in some way. He looked at the meat he was carving up, nodding his head once. This was a good start.
He walked to the stove, slapping the meat upon the surface and letting it start cooking. Now he needed to prepare the rest of it. Looking around the room he had, he went to the wall and quickly started to cut away the stone, digging into the ground rather deeply. It was all stone to this point, and he grinned a bit more. Going outside, he started grabbing snow, walking to the hole he made and packing the stone in densely. The meat came next, followed by more snow, and then cutting the stone he had cast aside before to form the wall now. Once he was done, he had sealed the meat away in snow, he smiled at the progress he had made. He walked out the main room, looking at the meat on the stone stove, the room was warming up as well. This... This felt like home... It felt like he was back on the friend, hiding away from Tuffle Scout ships, cooking for a small team and just waiting. Sure, they had devices that let them find Saiyans, but they were not the most accurate, and they often hid in places that masked their power levels, making them nearly impossible to find in the long run. It was great.
Stabbing the meat with his knife, he turned it over, letting it start to cook on the other side. The nice thing about the scout ships is they were dumb. Even the later generation ones could be tricked fairly easily and blown up or distracted. Saiyans would go higher than they could, holding their breath until they reached a good point and lighting them up with a hailstorm of energy blasts, knocking them to the ground and making them explode in the wrong area, making them focus on that area to let whole groups rest and hide. Tuffles were originally masters of technology, but they sucked at war. Their machines started to make up for that fact, but... Over all, they were terrible at it none the less.
With the meat cooking, he stood up and went outside once more, he still had things he needed to deal with out there. The parts of the animal he wasn't going to directly use or would go bad quickly he had piled up. If situations had been different, there would be no problem with using them, but at this point, he knew what he needed to do. He raised his hand and with a quick flash of energy, the snow and the waste material was removed from the world, turned into ashes upon the wind. He nodded once, turning away from the remains and heading to the bones next. He had cut away the antlers, cut bone from the meat, and set the skulls to one side. It only took a few moments to get most of that on display as it was needed for his own personal totems. Animal spirits should always be honored for the role they played, and a totem was a wonderful way to do it. Antlers would be lashed together with tendons, which had already started to dry and freeze, with the heads propped up on their own antlers. Some of the antlers would be held in reserve however, and if they proved to be dense enough to be used, he could make simple spears out of them.
Taking several of the larger bones now, he walked into the lair he had created for himself. It was a home as much as it could be at this point, and he wanted to make it feel better for himself. With the meat cooking, he set the bone upon the floor, arranging the furs as he told himself he would, so he could have a bit more comfort. He was going to have to really improvise a lot out here. He had not yet seen any more intelligent life, so at this point, he assumed there was none, and would go fully into the wild man side that Saiyans often had to learn in order to survive the harsh wastelands the Saiyans had been pushed to live in on the edges of the cities and beyond. The first trick was to make tools. Honoring his crew would have to wait, as they would be displeased with everything he was doing if he didn't make it so he could survive at least.
Thankfully, he had a knife, so he was further on the survival scale than he was used to. With the hides arranged so he could sleep easier, he picked up a small section of bone, looking over it. He broke it in half, tasting the marrow and quickly pulling that out. It was dense in everything he needed to survive out here, and cold as it was, it was more solid than some animals, but he ate it none the less. Some instant energy while he cooked the meal he was after. With that done, he set that to one side, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes slowly.

The smell of the meat in the air, the need to survive, and getting as far as he had, it was making him remember a lot of things from the old days. He takes a deep breath and opens his eyes in his mind, looking at the teacher before him once more, an older woman covered in scars, living with stories from ages ago. She held up a bone, one of the dense one from an animal on the world. It had been dried, and she was showing the group of children around him how to use a chipped stone to slowly carve the bone, to make a sewing needle in order to repair their armor, to thread leather, and to keep things in good repair. He opened his real eyes, looking at the damp bone and letting his energy flare up some, working to dry out the bones he carried in his hand. Drawing his dagger, he started to carve slowly around a small section of the bone, working to make a needle in the most slow and careful way. He was focused on it when there was almost a tingle in his mind, his eyes lifting up a bit and looking to the door. Something, or someone, was walking around in the snow. He opened the door and looked outside, only to see several people who were bundled up, following tracks and the smell.
They looked like Saiyans, but smaller in general stature. Renkon stepped out of his lair, the men looking up, some kind of metal device across their backs and they waved at him. "Ahhh! I thought I smelled something out here. You look right at home, don't ya?" He said, stopping a few feet away. "Oh... You are one of them Monkey Boys huh? You are way off the base, unless you just like the snow." At the confusion on Renkon's face, the man just laughed a bit. "A lot of your people are gathered in the south, the islands out there, plus there is a big old tournament out there as well. Might not be a bad idea for you to wander out that way, see if you can more of your people." He said, shrugging a bit for Renkon and looking around. "You seen the herd?"
Renkon pointed to the west, the man nodding and seeing the trail that Renkon had gone down before, grinning and heading out. Renkon returned to the lair, shutting the branch door and picking up the first bit of the meat that was done, taking a bite of it. It was perfect for eating, he wanted seasonings, but he knew he could survive without it. The meat was good, the bones worked, there was water, life... This world was a garden in it's own way, and it was not something he was going to easily give up. He smiled a bit more, leaning his head back against the stone as he ate, working through what he had cooked and just feeling content for the first time in a number of years. While he had the bone needle, he didn't NEED it any more. He could make his mattress, something more comfortable to rest on, and then he could leave to find more of his people. Maybe, just maybe, they would know where his crew was... Maybe they knew a lot more than he did. He wanted to hope for that more than anything else. They made it out alright, and they found a way to simply survive until he was able to find them.
For now, he was going to sit here, rest, and regain his strength. There was something he could seek out, some kind of combat event, and if the people on this world held it often enough, he might run into his crew in that place. If they had the ability to project images of the battle, it also could allow him more time, more ability to spread his message and seek out those who he was after. A smile formed on his lips, a plan was in place, and he could easily follow through on it. He looked at the empty stove top, looking around for a moment and working to shape some stone into a bowl, going outside and gathering fresh snow, placing it in the bowl so it can start to melt slowly. He needed to drink something, finish his plans, and get it all ready to put into play for now. He waited for the snow to melt, taking a sip to see how it was and then drinking from the bowl. He would need to spend some time making a cup of some kind, but this worked for now. He was set in his lair, and he could expand out more and more as needed.
He worked to cook more meat now, warming water as he did so. It was slow, but now he didn't need to rush. Now he didn't need to just run around like a loon and hope he could figure things out... Instead there was already plenty for him to work with. While they used very simple, ancient blasters it looked like, they appeared to be smart enough to know how to use technology. He wasn't sure how advanced they might be, or if they had more energy than these ones, but he didn't care yet. Right now, it was all about finding out more about this world. He refused to be beaten by those aliens, and they made their issue the problem for someone in the future. He would get his revenge upon them one day, he would avenge his crew, himself, and his race as a whole. This black mark upon him would fade in time, but for now, he needed to simply regain his strength, build himself up to where he needed to be and work with what he had for now. He would travel home when it was time as well now.
