He had been told a lot of people were gathering on the Southern Islands. Something about a big combat event, fighters from across the world were going to be there. The person had even mentioned he might be able to find more people with tails, people like him. This is what caused Renkon to start to travel. It was odd walking everywhere again. He hadn’t done this since he was a small child. His combat armor had seen better days, but it didn’t matter any more, he probably wasn’t going to see those kinds of fights anyways where he needed the extensive protection of a horribly outdated combat suit.
On his lower back, near his spine, he had a knife strapped down, the handle sticking out in a way that made it easily seen. It was more utility than a weapon, but in a pinch, he could use it that way too. The armor on his right shoulder was a nice addition as well, something he salvaged from a Tuffle during the war. It was more than a simple metal plate, instead it was set up to absorb a number of attacks before failing. Combined with the other bit of tech in there, it made a nice addition to what he could do in battle. Most people here didn’t seem to bat an eye at any of it.
Still it was nice to not be looked at like an outsider. The one time he was traveling, he stopped at a controlled base, and was stared at like a monster or an animal let free of a cage. He hated it. Here? Everyone was chill about him being different. Such an odd thing really, but he took it in stride. For now, he was just going to run with it all. He couldn’t fly, something about the spell cast on him had stripped a lot from him, so he was starting from the bottom in a way, but he could tell he had lost well over half his power. While he wasn’t an elite by any stretch, he was still trying to build up from the bottom once more.
Walking along the road, he pondered what he was going to do in this world… He could almost feel the people on it, as little sparks of energy, but there was plenty more around that almost drowned them out. He knew he was a small fish in a big pond. He had to plan a number of things for now, and he would need to be careful. If this world had Saiyans on it once upon a time, and if they had been aggressive, he could be seen as a potential threat… If not, he could be under the radar in a way.
Each step took him closer to his goal, to his answers maybe. There was a lot he wanted to learn, about this time, about this place, these people, what happened to him, can he go back, can he save his crew? What happened to his homeworld? Is it still there, that ruby floating in space? He could find a ship and leave the planet, but Space… He quickly shook his head, letting his boots scrape across the ground a bit. The firm ground under his feet was something he enjoyed far more than most. While flying in the atmosphere wasn’t so bad either, being in space was very different, and he hated it. If one thing went wrong, there wasn’t a foe to fight, he just died in moments. He would rather not have to deal with that ever again if he could help it, but he might need to.
That was the main part of it for him. He didn’t want to deal with fighting in space. Sure, there might be some ways that he can, but he didn’t need to deal with that kind of nightmare. Stopping at a small cluster of houses, he looked to the small family that was there. They had the sights of the community he was from back on Planet Vegeta. Small, close knit, and with families who support each other. It was… Honestly rather nice to see it still existed out there in the universe. He smiled as he walked over.
“Greetings. I’m looking for the way to the Southern Islands, am I on the right track?” He asked, looking at one of the men who was out tending to his front yard. The man nodded and Renkon smiled a bit more. “Thank you. Hope you have a good day.” He said, turning away from the man and starting down the path he was pointed to. His tail hung loose around his waist, and he crossed his arms behind his back as he walked, letting his mind wander and drift as he roamed down the road slowly.
There was no reason to really rush at this point. He was stuck on this world, but it didn't have to be a prison for him either. He was more willing to learn about this world than most probably expected of him, but for now, he was wanting to see if the rumors of those like himself were true. Maybe they were members of his crew? Maybe descendants as they all got thrown across time and space? Maybe it was something else altogether. He wasn't sure, but that wouldn't stop him either. He took a slow breath, looking over the landscape as he walked. He could see the ocean now, it was not as far as he had expected really. This world seemed a lot bigger than it was perhaps? Or maybe his mental wanderings were enough to allow him to pass the time far easier. Either way, he was enjoying it all. This world was... Oddly peaceful in its own way. He liked that.
Stopping at the edge of a small city, he looked across it, curious beyond words, but still wanting to see, wanting to learn, and wanting to reach his goal. The islands were not far away, so he could swim if he really wanted to. He saw boats however. It was the next best option over flying really. He chuckled a bit to himself and walked towards the city, and heading towards the docks themselves. The boats there might be able to take him and he won't have to worry about shorting out anything.
