In a world of mysticism and martial arts, there was one entity that still defied all expectations. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night could stop these nigh-mythical beings from completing their appointed rounds... That’s right. Somehow, one of these determined souls had accomplished three impossible things before breakfast. First, he had braved the dangerous, scorching wastelands near Mount Frying Pan. Second, he had located an elusive creature that rarely stayed still for longer than a day. And thirdly... The brave postman had woken up a Majin from her nap without getting blown up in the process.
Honestly, it helped that the aforementioned Majin was utterly puzzled and mesmerized by what she had received... A letter! Her first very own letter ever! She had seen these things on the moving picture box. Every morning, Mister Satan would receive and read letters in his show. She had always hoped to get one herself! Better yet, it came as a complete surprise. She had no idea who could have sent it. There was just one teeny-tiny problem...
She still didn’t know how to read.
To make matters trickier, Nal was busy doing important city things, like playing with Alaka. Very important, yup yup. Zam didn’t want to interrupt their fun. Sooo... She needed to find someone who she liked and could also read. With such strict criteria, the list was swiftly cut down to one single name... Miss T, the cool adult who had given her gifts and taught her stuff before. She could help for sure! Good plan, great plan~!
Without wasting a moment further, the excited creature stuck two fingers into her mouth and let out a shrill whistle. Much like an equally excited pet, a playful cloud zipped to the scene. It zipped and zoomed circles around her. Occasionally it darkened and erupted in bolts of lightning. She hopped onto her trusty ride and rocketed upwards at mind-boggling speeds. ...Right through the sugar glass skylight. Oh well. Good thing the whole city was self-repairing.
As Zam rose high to the skies, her antennae wiggled curiously. Hm hm, Miss T was super strong... So finding her... should be... THERE~! She twisted her ride towards the familiar tingle, as if riding a fluffy skateboard. The crackling cloud didn’t need to be told twice. It shared the same need for speed as its owner. Only gleeful giggling was left hanging in the air, as the duo shot off into the horizon. At this pace, the distance felt like nothing. Like she had been in two places at once... or something.
While regular vehicles would take hours, even days, the trusty zoomy cloud would make it before lunch. ...But the hungry girl’s growling gut soon reminded her that skipping breakfast was no good. However, impatient as usual, she was pretty unwilling to wait... The letter was super important... Yet her tummy made a very convincing protest as well. How could she eat and travel at the same time though?
Then, the imaginary little light bulb lit up...
Zam zipped down, diving dangerously close to the ground below. Familiar scenery whizzed past her eyes. Yep, these were her usual stomping grounds. And right beyond the treeline... There was a treasure trove~! She wasn’t quite sure what that meant, but her friends had called it that and she agreed. See, it was full of fruit trees! Apples, oranges, pears and stuff she couldn’t name... Her favorite sweet things right after candies!
Bursting through the thicket, the hungry, little daredevil locked her eyes on the target. Ripe and ready treats~! Her arms stretched and flailed like out of control tentacles. Yet there was a method to the madness. Each motion snatched something sweet and brought it to her. She weaved past the trees with reckless abandon, before finally pulling back to the skies. And when she did, her small ride was brimming with colorful treasure. These were better than any gems~!
Munching away, the Majin soared across the skies. Not really in a straight line though, nope. Her ride was still very much zigzagging randomly. And she absolutely loved it. Traveling was so much more fun with a friend like this. Having a snack made it only better. One after another, the juicy treats vanished down her bottomless maw. Peel and all. She wasn’t exactly picky. With one last bite, she finished beating back her hunger for a little while. A satisfied sigh left her smiling lips. Pheeeeew~! Tasty things were the best!
Reinvigorated and focused, the chaotic creature peeked down at the ground far below. The city was completely unfamiliar to her eyes. It was her first time visiting. She squinted. Everything looked so tiny... All the buildings looked like pretty, little toy houses. Miss T’s tingle was feeling closer, so this was definitely the right place. Closing her eyes completely, she focused on the feeling. Hm hm, where exactly...? There were others here that were kinda big... But Miss T was definitely the strongest. She focused her senses on it and steered the cloud closer.
Suddenly, Zam’s eyes flashed open. There! ...Maybe. She brought her ride to another daring dive. It spiraled down, crackling with bolts. Grinning madly, she made a beeline for a tall building she decided looked promising. A big part of her decision was that she spotted an open window. It called her name! Zaaaam... Come iiiin... Yup, totally. And even if this wasn’t Miss T’s house, she could always ask, right? Right!
Down below, a couple of citizens happened to glance up from their daily lives. A pink and black streak rushing across the sky wasn’t exactly inconspicuous. Or... All that unusual, really. Around these parts, many mysterious and mystical things happened on a regular basis. Most assumed, correctly, that it was another nutty warrior. But who...? It wasn’t a familiar figure. Well, whatever questions brewed in their minds were only whispered.
After all, the stranger was heading straight for the home of the esteemed Princess Tea...
