After a day within the hospital, Will walks out and decides to walk to where his house is instead of using his Flying Nimbus. He can't rely on that thing all the time or else he'll end up being lazy. He needs to get his body moving and active again after being in a bed for an entire day. Otherwise, he could end up ruining his muscles for not using them for so long. Then again he was asleep for thirteen years so it's a miracle he can still move a body. A probably because of his long healthy life, and his inherited immortality from his dad's side.
Finally, Will got to his address, 4444 Black Cat Avenue, the many unlucky symbols surrounding this place caused many people to not buy it. Will wasn't the superstitious sort plus he managed to get it for cheap too because no one else was able to buy it. And as soon as he could see it, he could see that the building is no longer there and replaced with an empty lot. Well, he was unable to pay for the rent for thirteen years so it would make sense that the landlord would evict him but to think that the place would be torn down too. He must have not got anyone else to buy it do to the address so he was forced to have it torn down.
Maybe this place was cursed, after all, no it's probably just a coincidence. He shouldn't let this put him down. He can always find a new place to live in. In fact, there is one place he has in mind that he could live in for a while before he could find an actual place. It's not too far from here either.
"Wait, if this place is gone in thirteen then does the mean," Will thought.
Will then runs with great speed as a blur causing a gust of wind as bystanders hold on to their hats or dresses from being blown away from the burst of wind. Will then began to run out of the city into the wilderness before he begin running into a forest. After running through a path he stops as he looks at what happened. His dojo, where he trained his students, worn with no one to take care of or looking after it for so many years. Dilapidated, the wood rotting, the roof shillings falling off, the lucky cat statues wearing turtle shells covered in moss, and a bunch of mold and dust everywhere.
He heads inside and everything in it is empty, perhaps the rest of the Turtle School thought of him as dead or missing and took the stuff to use in their dojos and left this place alone as a sort of memorial to him, or maybe thiefs pilfered it and no one was around to do anything about it. Speaking of which he goes and check his hidden savings. He goes to the room where he would meditate sometimes while his students are training, even his painting is gone, luckily he didn't hide it in a painting. Instead, he hid his safe in a spot no one would expect, in the ceiling. He jumps off the air and clings to the roof with his claws and hits a hidden switch that opens a slot that has a safe in it. After using the combination he opens the safe door and peeps into a secret room where he would put Zeni he saved up as long some things he gotten from past adventures.
Only to find that the safe was empty, there was also a hole in one of the walls. So this place was pilfered by bandits that's just great. It looks like he is going to have made more money some other way in order to renovate this place. It's a fixer-upper but it can't be that hard or expensive to fix this place up after all it's only been thirteen years. While he is looking around the place he manages to find a few items lying around such as a Knife, an Obi, an old Turtle-Style Gi, and some robes. Maybe he can sell a few of these for extra cash.
As he is walking back to...wherever it is he will be temporarily living for a while. He then notices a bunch of wanted posters on a tree. A couple catch his eye, a bounty for a dinosaur monster terrorizing the local farmers, and worldwide chicken outbreak happening to farms across the world. He has already been through a tough fight against Heater so Will decides to go and help the farmers first before finding the dinosaur. Luckily he knows where there are some nearby farms not too far from where he is. He then begins his journey on foot, jogging along the way with his hands behind his back.
It takes him a few hours but soon he arrives at a nice little farm. Everything seems peaceful, and the animals all seem to be happy. There were many cows grazing in the field and Will could hear other livestock like pigs and horses on the farm. He then walked over to the house of the family who owns this farm. Of course, being the gentlemen he knocks on the door.
As it opens a man looks down to see the curious sight before him.
"Uh you lost little feller or you're here to buy something?" the farmer asks.
"Neither sir, I just came here to help you find your lost chickens and ostrich chickens. It says here you're one of the farms that called in about your missing livestock and I want to help you all." Will said.
"Well that's mighty kind of you stranger, but I don't know how you would able to find them and bring them back they're probably pretty far off." the farmer said.
"Do you have any feathers of them laying around perhaps, I can use that to help me find them," Will said.
The man is a bit confused about why he would ask that at first. He strokes his chin thinking for a bit before he remembers and takes Will to where his chickens roamed in the field. Sure enough, there were still a few feathers lying around, some are white, some are brown, and the pink ones no doubt belonged to the Ostrich Chickens. Will began to pick up one of each type of feather. The man strokes his head wondering what this cat is up to.
"So are you going to sniff them and follow their scent to where they at?" the farmer asks.
"Oh no my nose is nowhere near that good, luckily I managed to a new staff that's perfect for finding them," Will said.
He then tied the feathers to his Scrying Staff, the feathers on the staff then began to point in different directions. Like arrows telling Will which way he should go. Will then follows the one where the white feathers point to get the white chickens first and then move on to the rest. He runs across the vast field of grass to where the feather is pointing. Having to change direction now and then with begins to shift, most likely cause the chickens are moving on their own. It's a good thing he got this staff from that nice lad he met long ago, hopefully, that ring would aide him well.
