Grisha had returned to the quarry project chief to inform him about The Barrel Cactus; and while the chief was relieved to learn that their favorite hang out was free of the Sand Dragons, he had a plight for the giant. The chief dropped to his knees and clasped his hands together, holding them up to the Saiyan who had helped them time and time again. “Grisha; please. I need your help!” he begged. The Saiyan’s eyes shrank in fright, and he and his Mokuzai turned to dart away. They rocketed away into the sky and Grisha exhaled a relieved sigh until he heard a scream of terror behind him. His head snapped over his shoulder, and he saw that the project chief had grasped the flying log out of desperation. Grisha bared his teeth in fright and quickly directed the Mokuzai back toward the ground. The project chief sighed in relief. He was resting on his bottom with his hands posted behind him. Grisha was frowning and scratching the back of his head as a sweat bead swelled and dripped down the side of his head. Still panting and trying to catch his breath, the chief held out his gloved hands and pleaded, “Hear me out. Our guys are sick, and Ox Corp isn’t hiring anyone else. We need all the help we can get, and I know you’re strong. You took out the worm monster and defeated the Sand Dragons. What’s swinging around a pick axe, huh?” “Mmm…” Grisha closed his eyes, his brows smashing hard together. He really didn’t want to offer his help. He wasn’t trying to be insensitive, but now that he had his Mokuzai and had finished helping Danjiro, he wanted to see the rest of the world. He couldn’t stand another minute in the desert, and he was hoping the rest of the continent had a bit more interesting goings-on. Opening his eyes, he glanced off to the side and huffed a breath of defeat. “Ok…” he replied. The project chief sprang to his feet with restored vigor. “Yes! Thank you, Big Guy. You won’t regret it!” Grasping his yellow hard hat, he tossed it up to Grisha who caught it. He stared down at its yellow hard dome and sighed again—almost painfully. Lifting the helmet, he sat it on his head and the Mokuzai lowered, allowing him to step down. Resting his hands upon his hips, Grisha unenthusiastically asked, “What Grisha do?” “We’re mining ore. There’s a guy already helping us but the more the merrier is what I always say.” Later, Grisha would learn that what the project chief meant to say was gal. WC: 444 Tagging: Nal

Mining. That was something she once did, though it wasn't exactly on purpose. It was this huge mountain that once got taken over by that one demon and ultimately, where Nal was taking her overly long nap in that green cocoon. But, it was far away from the place she was invited to - to help working, no less. Working! That was certainly a new thing. But apparently, a lot of people were sick now and the place that hired this master smith, one that led her and Atalan to the imp weaponsmith in the demon lands, needed help. And so Nal immediately flew over to help out. And they agreed! Letting her work as a miner, for now, until other things also needed doing. This was great. And the chief man spoke of others helping, maybe. She was looking forward to making work buddies, perhaps even sharing candy with them?
But that was... at least five minutes ago, Nal really didn't know how to tell minutes from hours to begin with. But, this gave her time to prepare and while the chief man was out recruiting more people to help, she decided to dress for the occasion. And so, flying around rapidly and paying visits to stores, where coughing clerks and sniffling owners traded useful things for stupid pieces of paper and pretty shiny coins, she got the outfit she wanted. First, a blue set of pants that went all the way up to her chest - coveralls, they called them, and that was a misleading name since they only covered legs and most of her torso. ARms were entirely exposed! So she also bought a shirt, a yellow one with long sleeves that she could roll up to look work ready. A pair of heavy boots, that she found awkward to wear, but they were light enough that it didn't matter, and finally - a hat. A tough, yellow hat with a lamp on the forehead. To wear this, Nal had to compress her hair tendrils into tiny little braids, prodding from beneath the hard hat like a hundred dreadlocks. Nal was proud of it - even though, in reality, the coveralls were FAR too big for her, baggy in the legs, the boots were loose and the hat only held up because of her hair tendrils, it would be far too big otherwise. She looked as if someone gave the girl her older brother's clothes to wear.
But this mattered little. With that amazing outfit, the lithe, gray lass took off (causing some cracks in the sidewalk) and flew to where the mining was going to happen. Landing a little away from the site, leaving deep skid marks in the gravel pit surrounding the digsite, shredding a decent part of her boot soles in the process. But, too giddy to notice, she hurried over to the pickaxes, took one up - and laid it against the ground, haft first, leaning against the head of the tool. Waiting, grinning, jumping in place joyfully.

The giant was in no hurry to begin work. He wasn’t as excited as the gray blur that soared overhead like a jet. He stopped just to watch in brief awe as the creature landed. He had never seen anything like it. After staring at the thing with a hanging jaw, he watched as it suddenly picked up a pickaxe and started to excitedly bounce in place. Was it here to work? The Saiyan cautiously approached the gray being, eying how it wore clothes and not just any clothes. Unlike him, she was dressed for the occasion. On the other hand, he was wearing orange robes, which didn’t seem appropriate for such a hands-on assignment. Uncertain of what to make of all of her energy, Grisha walked past her to grab a pickaxe. He then turned to regard the majin and forced a smile, raising his hand in a greeting, “Hi; Grey Thing. Name Grisha.” Proudly, as though saying his own name gave him some motivation, he swung the axe up to his shoulder and grinned. “Grey Thing work too?” Their first task was to mine ore. Grisha didn’t even know what the ore looked like. It was all rocks to him. If the majin knew, then he figured he was going to copy her. WC: 215 | 1,159 Tag: Nal

Nal was still grinning to herself when a large man came by. A really, really large man. Unkempt a bit, looking wild, which stirred the fiery side of the Majin's spirit a little bit. She wondered how would he fight and if he could beat her. The girl tilted her head, lips curling down for a bit, he probably could - to date, the only people that she did defeat, outside of random bandits and that one demon recently, were those that she overpowered quite a lot and he... the tendril turned to Grisha, sensing. Causing Nal to blink - wow, he was strong. Almost as strong as Zam, but not quite. Seeing them fight would be awesome, maybe she could make it happen someday! "Hi, I'm Nal! I'm here to work too" - the girl confirmed, nodding sagely. "The guys told me we need to mine stuff, yeah? I know a bit about mining stuff. And making of stuff. I made myself a sword once but I kinda left it where I was changing in that locker thing. You look strong and will mine well!" - she prattled on, the contrast to poor Grisha's gruff, short answers. His eyes were in for quite a bit of use.
"Anyway, we should go in! Come in here where the hole in the mountain is" she nodded towards a cave, which Nal then promtly walked into herself, with a spring in her step and a grin on the face. "We will find ore in there and dig it up with these things! Or just punch them out of the rocks if they break or something, that works too."

Nal; it called itself. Grisha tilted his head some and ran his fingers a few times down the edge of his jaw. He hadn’t been grooming as he used to back home. Since he started his journey, he hadn’t felt like it much. The hair growing in on his face was getting itchy from the lack of bathing facilities and new hair growth. Nal was here to break rocks, and she had a lot of infectious, excitable energy that the Saiyan couldn’t help but smile. “Grisha make sword too. Sword on log,” he explained. She might not have understood what he meant by log, but one day she might. When she told him he looked strong, Grisha puffed out his chest proudly and declared as he raised his arm and curled it to show off his large bicep, “Grisha strongest.” The Majin gestured to the hole in the cave and Grisha’s brows rose. It was…pretty small and dark. He reached up to the lamp on his borrowed mining helmet and turned it on before following the gray squid thing inside. He had to bend over a little. He kept his pickaxe close like a soldier would their rifle as he followed behind the girl. “Grisha like punch rocks, but mountain crumble. Crumble bad,” he warned. If they punched too hard, then they might cause a cave-in, and Grisha knew he would get carried away with the punching. Being destructive was fun. “Big worm live here. Grisha eat it.” It happened the last time he volunteered to help out the miners. “Flying man make worm go boom. Guts everywhere,” he shared his story as though talking to a friend. “Nal see worm. Nal try. Taste good.” The tunnel became wider, revealing a zone where some miners had been working. Grisha turned his head, directing the lamp along the moist walls. His nostrils wiggled as he sniffed the air. There was an odd odor, and it hadn’t been his own B.O. He approached the wall and gazed closely at some black, slime-like growth growing on it. “What this?” he asked. He poked it with the tip of the pickaxe, and his hackles raised in disgust when a strand pulled away like goo. “Ew!” WC: 371 | 1,802 Tag: Nal

Guts, worms and caves. This giant guy looked almost too tall to fit in the cave! This was... kind of awesome, really. He sounded like a strong person and a sort of... good one. Maybe. A bit eager to break things like Zam, she really had to have them meet. It'd be awesome to watch and she could heal them after!
But that was for later, for now, there was ore, the big man and his worm tales, which Nal nodded at. "Worms... they can taste good when cooked well. Everything can! You just need to know a good cook" the gray girl nodded sagely, stopping at the wider end of that mning tunnel. This had to be where ores are, right? But... as her new friend found, something wasn't quite right. Nal walked over, reaching to prod at the black ooze, scowling. "Ew, yes." she nodded sagely, wiping her fingers against the less stained part of the wall. "No wonder everyone got sick with this awful thing here. I don't even have a nose and I already feel sick just looking at it! How is it to have a nose, actually?" - the majin turned, though her senses were acute and active. What was this thing? It felt odd... unnatural. Were there more demons in the mountains? She couldn't sense any but that didn't mean there wasn't one in here before...
But, that was for later. While waiting for Grisha to explain how it was to have a nose, Nal began to work. Walking around a bit until she found a spot with the telltale black sheen of iron - and raised the pickaxe, to slam it against the rock, again, then again. There was a surprising punch to how lithe her form was. Majin Nal, more than meets the eye!

Grisha wondered about what Nal said. Everything tastes good when cooked. His nose wrinkled some when he thought about eating a human or another Saiyan. Even if they tasted good, they wouldn’t taste better than walrus. He made a disgusted face when Nal touched the black ooze. Grisha stepped away from the gunk, glancing over his shoulder a few times as though it were alive or could rapidly spread. He found a wall that wasn’t covered in the stuff and gazed over at Nal, observing her mining skills.
“Hmm…” he hummed in thought about her nose question. “Things smell good or bad. Grisha love to smell good food.” He grinned at the thought of a hot meal. It would have been nice to have one after all of their hard work. “Nal cook?”
As she began picking the wall, Grisha looked at his own wall and hadn’t been as observant as the Majin. He figured she was just collecting rocks. With one hand, Grisha held the point of the axe against the wall and pecked it lightly. He watched a pebble spring free and tumble to the floor. He glanced up at the ceiling and didn’t hear it rumble or feel it shake. He pecked a few more times, and then started hammering a little harder. The impressions he made in the wall were a foot deep. Large fragments of rock were breaking off and Grisha rested his hand that wasn’t doing anything on his hip out of boredom. His eyes became half-lidded as he hammered a large indentation into the wall. It didn’t take long for him to lose enthusiasm. He didn’t live to perform these kinds of chores. He couldn’t believe that people spent days in the mountain, pecking at rocks.
“So boring. Grisha frustrated. Want to punch wall. Finish job,” he fussed.

"You really sound a lot like my friend Zam. You should meet her someday and have a fight. I wanna see that." - she said, with a grin. Nodding to herself, that would be awesome. "If you do this job well, I can talk to her about it! But..." the majin tilted her head, frowning. She didn't know much about walls and how bad punching these here would be, but...
She considered. Since everyone else was asleep and they were the only ones in here, definitely strong enough to survive a cave-in... what was the issue?
"Come here! This..." she said, pointing at the sheen in the rocky wall. "This is iron. It's a big... uh... a big bit of iron that I forgot how people call, but I want you to rip it out of the wall! Then we can carry it out of here and break into small chunks to carry to the guy that got us to work, since he said they need more than just mining, we will be done with the first part quickly and get to less boring stuff. Come on! What can go wrong?" - the majin asked the famous words spoken before a disaster, grinning widely to herself. She may have had good ideas before, but this one was just awesome. And maybe, if they break this cave, they'll bury all that awful, nasty black goo. Everybody wins!
With that thought in mind, Nal gathered her share of iron, observing Grisha with a grin.

Grisha blinked curiously at Nal when she mentioned she had a friend named Zam. “Fight? Zam gray thing too?” he asked.
The Saiyan stared at Nal. She looked like noodles and he wasn’t sure if she had bones. Wait…his brows rose then as he thought, was Nal a noodle? He gazed at her head tentacles and thought maybe she was an octopus. Noodle made more sense because she was on land. At her beckon, Grisha lowered his pickaxe and walked over. She pointed at the wall, and after humming in thought, he glanced over his shoulder at the wall he had been working on. There were differences in color and sheen. “Shiny wall,” Grisha muttered thoughtfully to himself. “Big, iron…”
Grisha set the pickaxe against the wall to the side of the iron ore deposit. He then clapped his hands and started hooking his fingers together, pulling them in a stretch. “No too big for Grisha!” the giant declared with a determined grin. He had been nervous some minutes ago, but after hammering so hard and wild into the wall, he believed the tunnel was tough enough. Bringing his fists together, his knuckles sounded like two boulders colliding.
“Rip out!” Grisha yelled in his excitement. He swung and punched the wall. His fingers hooked into the side of the deposit before his other fist followed the same method. His fingers latched onto the ore. Rock cracked and crumbled once his fingers really gripped it. Baring his teeth, Grisha roared as he utilized his might to begin pulling on the stubborn ore. “RRRAAAH!”
Rocks popped and tumbled to the floor. A fissure spontaneously erupted around the ore pocket as Grisha continued to pull. It felt as though the mountain itself was clutching it and refusing to let go.
“Let…GO!” Grisha grunted and yelled—at who? No one knows. The ore came free in a big, dark shiny chunk. The Saiyan flew back a few feet and landed on his bottom with the big chunk over his head. His eyes were wide in shock for a second before he glanced up at the medium-sized boulder of iron. He grinned large and triumphantly at Nal.

"Nuh-uh, Zam is pink." the gray majin nodded sagely. That was different, but also not really. Zam was stronger and pink-er, but one wasn't related to the other. She was just better at majining in general. Seeing how the giant of a man began to pull at the iron as she suggested, Nal grinned. Looking up at the cave ceiling as the rock started to slowly budge, then give, sensing whether there were strong enough quakes to collapse this place. And... it didn't seem so, at least for now, or she couldn't sense quakes. In fact, she only ever sensed life energy, so it made sense that this couldn't detect incoming earthquakes of anything of the sort. It, there and then, dawned on Nal that sensing doesn't quite solve as many problems as she thought it does...
But, despite the ore being torn out with a large chunk of the wall, the cave survived. Perhaps because of the strong support beams installed all around it, perhaps just because the mountain was more powerful than it seemed to be. A few rocks dropped onto the floor from the ceiling, and a lot from the walls, but... it survived. Nal wondered if it would survive ki blasts, imagine how much easier would explosions make mining!
But, that was a thought for later. Now, there was work to do! "Good job!" she said, grinning broadly, clapping her hands vigorously. He -was- strong. Though, she bet she could do that too if she really tried... maybe. "Now we need to..." Nal blinked, grinning. "Now we need to break it into chunks! Then put them in bags and bring it to the work-man. But, maybe, we should go out of the cave for it, just in case! We kinda broke it a little bit" the majin said, nodding at the hole in the wall where that chunk of iron used to be. She reached for Grisha's pickaxe, to carry it with her, then lifted off in the air. "Come on!" - the girl cried out, before soaring out of the cave... slowly. Juuuust to be safe!

Nal made mining fun. It could have been her enthusiastic energy, but whatever it was, it had lifted Grisha’s boredom. He watched her fly overhead, darting for the mine exit. Lowering the iron chunk, the Saiyan pouted some as he wished he could fly. He didn’t even know if he was capable of flying. All he had was the Mokuzai to help him get around. Setting the iron aside, Grisha rose to his feet and patted some rock dust from his robes. As he bent over to grasp the iron chunk, he felt a thick, liquid pool at his feet. Using the mining lamp on his helmet, he glanced down to see more of the sticky, black ooze. Where was it coming from? He turned his head, directing the lamp to the hole where he had ripped the iron from. It was oozing like a wound, and a crack appeared to lengthen and grow wider until jets of the ichor were gushing out. That didn’t look good. Grisha quickly picked up the rock, set it over his shoulder, and started sprinting back up the tunnel. He swung his free arm rapidly and heard over his shoulder a water-like hiss (except it wasn’t water). The mountain rumbled overheard from the shift in pressure. It could have been the black ooze that had kept the tunnel from caving. Once enough of it had flowed free, the iron deposit crumbled and a worm’s divided beak rammed through the opening. Nal would be able to see Grisha dart from the mine tunnel like a blur as black waves of goo gushed and ejected behind him. Soon following the goo was a giant mine worm. It protruded from the mountain like a worm from an apple, raising its head as its beak split apart into four sections, revealing its monstrous rows of jagged teeth. The worm screamed, catching the project chief’s attention as he clapped a hand against his forehead. “Not this again!” he grumbled. The mountain that Ox Corp was mining could have been a nest for mine worms who guarded the ore. Grisha pointed at the worm—even though it was obvious for Nal to see it—and exclaimed, “See! Worm!” It was difficult to discern how long the worm was with the rest of its body still within the mine. The creature lunged and snagged one of the gravel trucks in its divided jaws and shook it about as it gobbled the gravel like cat food. The big lumps of stone could be seen traveling down its goo-covered body like a rubber tube. The project chief angrily stomped and roared, “It’s going to damage Ox Corp property! Get rid of it! Quick!” WC: 450 | 3,819

Soaring (a slight overstatement, but she loved that word) out of the cave, the gray majin grinned. This was fun, and was going to be fun, she'd maybe get to forge something again! Forging things was awesome, the bubbling of the molten iron in the forges was one of her favourite sounds. Kinda like that bubbling behind them, come to think of it.
Hold on. What bubbling?
Stopping at the mouth of the mine, the majin turned, to see Grisha running... ahead of a colossal flood of black ooze. Blinking, Nal immediately decided this is not a place she desires to be at the moment and decided to skidaddle up in the sky, leaving the telltale sonic boom cloud behind herself, as she, in a blink of an eye, found herself far above the mine, looking at a small figure of Grisha and his rock, hoofing it away from the dark slime which started pouring out like a flold. That... wasn't their fault, was it? It would be very unheroic to ruin a mine like that... but then she had to rectify those thoughts, because it wasn't their fault at all. It was, instead, a colossal worm.
The girl's eyes lit up joyously, because this wasn't a bad deed - in fact, this was a chance to be the hero she always wanted! Or... to help someone also be a hero and be a wise, clever magic majin that knows how to help people in other ways than just by punching them in the face. She liked that idea better, so... the plan was set in motion.
"Don't worry, mister foreman! We'll save your mine!" - she shouted out and before her words even reached the surface, she was already there, shredding her boot soles entirely by using them as brakes as she slowed down near the giant of a man - Grisha getting tapped on the shoulder. "I'll show you something cool!" - she blurted out, and... unleashed her power.
Sharing techniques was one of her gifts. One she rarely got to utilise, so anytime that became possible, it made the little majin heart skip with joy, and now, not only it was possible, but also a wise and badass idea. Because - giant things are best fought with other giant things. And a giant cave worm required a counter in shape of a giant Grisha. And so, the man was gifted with the power of Giant Form - naturally it wouldn't last too long, but at least it would be helpful as a start. And, on top of that, would look super awesome while Nal tried to determine a weak spot on the worm. Everybody wins!
Assuming this worked and Grisha wasn't too confused...

“You better!” the project chief shouted back before he harrumphed. Grisha, who was still holding the iron ore, was distracted from staring at the worm when Nal tapped his shoulder. She told him how she was going to show him something cool, and then something startling happened. A strange power passed through Grisha’s body, shaking him to the core, and causing him to drop the iron ore.
Stumbling backwards, he gave the Majin a cautious glare until he realized she was shrinking. Grisha gave Nal a stupefied look until he noticed his shadow expanding and enveloping her like a blanket. The Saiyan glanced over at the foreman whose mouth was hanging open. He was pointing at him as though he were a monster. Grisha blinked and glanced down at his body, finally realizing that he had grown several feet.
“EH~!? Grisha huge!” he exclaimed. He had to be about 24-feet. The giant marveled his strong arms down to his feet. He had a dream about this once. He had always wanted to grow this huge and devour handfuls of walruses. The back of Grisha’s forearm rose to his eyes to hide the fact that he was crying tears of happiness. If only he were back home!
After a few sniffles, he dropped his arm and growled loudly with excitement and determination. He turned to face the colossal worm and raised his hands like claws as he spoke to Nal, “Nal make Grisha wish come true! Grisha share worm with Nal. Thanks!”
Grisha charged the worm, and the worm detecting danger, whipped the gravel truck at him. The Saiyan swatted the gravel truck aside out of reflex and the project chief grasped his cheeks and screamed, “NAW-OH! NOT MY TRUCK!”
Grisha’s eyes went wide as they followed the flying truck, and he blushed. “Sorry!”
The worm took advantage of Grisha being distracted and lashed out to snag his shoulder within its needle-like teeth. The giant uttered a sound that was a mixture of a growl and a wince as his hands quickly snagged the worm’s body. Just as quickly, the worm retracted and wiggled into its hole, leaving a handful of black slime oozing and hanging in disgusting ropes from Grisha’s hands. A disturbed expression dropped on the Saiyan’s face, and the worm shot out of the mine, whipping its body upwards. Its body struck Grisha in the chest like a whip, sending him arcing into the air and collapsing several feet away with a loud thoom!

The gray gal grinned, watching Grisha being so happy with his temporary new form. He really was! This made the majin happy by association, bouncing up and down in the air as she witnessed the awesomeness that was Giant Grisha fighting the Woeful Worm. Which... knocked the huge man prone. Nal blinked, it seems she got distracted again, though the shouts and anger of the foreman didn't really bother her that much. This was more important.
"Careful! You'll become small again if it hits you too hard! And it goes away after a while, but maybe I can teach you to become big on your own later?" - she called out, before soaring up in the sky again. Witnessing the worm... thing. She stared at it, considering. What can a small majin do against a big worm like this? The answer was: not much. Not without finding our something good to strike, and to that point... the majin began delving into her mystic senses. There had to be something this green energy could offer her. And with the deepened unity her impromptu nap under the desert caused, there was something. She felt the worm had to have something weak, maybe... in between those rings, every worm was segmented and this one was no different. Something between those segments was weak and if she had some sort of tool to snatch them... a set of hooks maybe, she could grip those and ride the worm like a giant chicken ostrich.
That is, if she wasn't Majin Nal and able to fly much faster than these things could travel. But, the idea of soft tissue under the rings gave her an idea.
Nal wasn't the best at her ki powers. In fact, they were absurdly weak, compared to Zam's devastating might. But, while she probably couldn't hurt the worm (or so she thought) with just her fists, she could still distract it for Grisha to do the real fighting.
And as she did think this up, the majin soared into the cave. Swiftly landing on the colossal worm - slamming hard into it, causing the creature to reel outside of the cave, as the landing almost shattered one of the bone-like plates the worm was covered in. It made Nal wobble on the creature, but before it could twist around and lunge back into the mine, she extended a hand, aiming it at a space in between the damaged segment and the one near it. Then - unleashed a pitiful ki blast, which was more of a nuisance than anything, and did far less damage than her landing. Probably had even less of a reaction, though the Majin couldn't see - she hoped Grisha did, though...

Grisha was wincing and pressing a soothing palm against his aching chest when Nal warned him about taking too many hits. It seemed easier said than done. He hadn’t encountered an opponent where he couldn’t put his hands on them until now. Planting a hand against the desert dirt, Grisha sat up, still frowning in a bit of achy pain. The bigger one was; the harder they fell was no joke.
Teach Grisha big technique, as much as he would have liked to know what he believed to be magic, he wasn’t sure it would be healthy for him or the environment. There wouldn’t be anymore walruses left on Walrus Island.
He watched Nal disappear inside the mine, and she must have attacked it because the worm whipped around, trying to stick its large head back inside it. Rocking forward, the giant rose to his feet and charged the worm. He locked his arms around it, his fingers trying to probe through the thick mucus which covered its body. He had to get a good hold on it. It wasn’t easy finding the segments with all of the goo. Out of desperation, as the worm retracted from the hole to set its fangs on Grisha, the giant vengefully returned the bite. As much as he disliked the idea of touching such filth or even getting any of it in his mouth, the Saiyan sank his teeth into the worm’s side and bit so hard the creature reared back and screamed.
Grisha then started dragging the worm from the mine. He pulled it like a rubber rope as its body stretched and thinned a few times in protest. The worm arched downward and bit the Saiyan again, causing Grisha to bite even harder in his pain. The worm had to be over 100 meters long. Once its other end had slid free, it reared up, mouth splitting open as a second scream resonated throughout the quarry.
The project chief’s face paled as he shouted, “It has two heads!?”
The worm started to constrict Grisha with the help of its second head. The heat from the desert sun was causing the goo to evaporate in ripples of steam off the creature. It seemed the worm knew that it didn’t want to stay exposed for too long and that it had to get rid of the beast keeping it from fleeing into its hole first. Grisha could feel the worm constricting him. It was growing so tight around his torso that he was forced to release his bite on the creature in order to breathe!
He continued to bare his teeth through the bite from the first worm and the squeezing. Glancing up at the sky, he saw the second worm head rise with its teeth bared in a predatory look. Grisha returned a bestial scowl before inhaling a deep breath and releasing it calmly. The second worm head lunged to join the first worm in biting him and when its spiny teeth latched onto Grisha, they near shattered. In the sun, the giant’s body became as shiny as steel. The first worm head that had been gnawing on him was forced to cease for the bites were chipping its teeth. While Grisha remained steeled in his signature technique, his wounds slowly started to heal.
The worms were screaming in anger and frustration as they continued to grip the hardened Grisha. The giant soon noticed an anomaly in the worm’s body. With the mucus dry, he saw a depressed and cracked area in its segment. Could it have been where Nal had attacked it earlier? Grisha grasped the worm’s body to the left and right of the wound and started to use his giant strength to pull it apart. Growling in his effort, the worm began to panic and lashed at Grisha’s back with its heads. The bombardment, Grisha noticed, was causing him to shrink. He shrank until he was forced to post his feet against the lower coil. An advantage to being small was that the worm couldn’t constrict any tighter. Both heads were trying to tuck into its coiled body to stop Grisha from ripping it apart. Even with his smaller size, the Saiyan’s inhuman strength hadn’t been decreased any. With his technique Steel Mountain, he had only become stronger and tougher.
