Will was pacing back and forth in the suite he was given at Pilaf Land. He couldn't help but think of the many regrets he has made in the past. Like when he broke that elephant man's tusk off in anger. Asking the government to help fix up his dojo for saving South City from a giant shark. And of course the whole spar with him and Kinryu versus Clove and Grenn and his strategy of having them gang up on him.
He hasn't flown using his Flying Nimbus for a while. He is too afraid of it judging him as impure, but he has been using it before so he was pure. He wondered what it could be that could have changed him like this? Has the years been catching up to his brain making him go senile? Wait, of course, most of his memories are still jumbled up from that incident that put him into a coma.
After all that's why he didn't remember the True Kamehameha, and only remembered the Nekohameha. No he shouldn't fully blame all of it on some head trauma. Even if that's the case he chose those courses of actions without fully thinking them through and acted upon them. It will be foolish to blame one's fault entirely on something like that. Even so he needed to be wiser, but there was none wiser that he knew of besides his father Korin and well he already taught him all he could and he can't see him anymore.
But then when Will tried to reminiscence of his training he found it fragmented like broken glass or pieces of a jigsaw puzzle scatted across the floor. And what surprised Will most, was that he couldn't even remember his face. He stops and clenches his fist at the thought of this before looking westward. Where Korin Tower is still standing and stretching to the heavens.
Though Will remembered how well the last time he tried to visit him went. It ended very poorly as he was kept out by the White Cat Clan who didn't believe him when he told him he was Korin's son. Though he has grown a lot since then, even if he has more room to grow. Maybe he can at least convince him to let him attempt the climb up their with his bare claws so he can be trained by him. It was worth a shot, but he needed to get there right away.
He packed his things into capsules that he stuffed into a hidden pocket within his Gi's shirt close to his chest. When he gets out he stops and look out the sky for a bit. The Flying Nimbus is probably still out there flying waiting for him to summon it. Though he is still doubtful that it will still accept him after what he did and thus decides to fly on his own. He then begins to fly the hardest he ever did. Letting nothing him stopping him from reaching his destination.
As the wind blew hard against his face while he was reaching speed close enough to break the sound barrier. He flew several thunderstorms as cold rain hammered down on him from above but he still persevered. Even dodging a couple lightning bolts that were a bit too close to where he was. Though the booming thunder so close to his ears did make him go deaf for a while. Eventually he came out of the Pilaf Lands territory and into the South Lands. The scorching desert heat and sun beating down on him. Though even so he just flew harder and kept on going. Not stopping for a single break or to drink any water, he was going to push himself to his absolute limit until he would reach his destination.
A sandstorm came in his path as he guarded himself with Ki to prevent any of the sand from blinding his vision. As he got out of the sandstorm he narrowly dodged a butte as he swerved past several mesas as things were looking to be more of a rocky wasteland around here. Though that's how it is naturally in the Southern Lands. There are so many empty wastelands around here that many battles were probably fought out here so that no one else was harmed.
No time to dwell on that now, he was already flying over the Central Lands. He was going for so long he lost track of time. He is not sure if a day has passed or not. He wasn't paying attention to the movement of the sun, just too focused on going forward. Until he stopped, he noticed how far he went already but also how hard he was pushing himself. When he stopped though, he began to question why, what did he needed to prove by endangering himself like this?
After flying most of the way there he floated down on to the ground and took a break. There was no need to rush things. Korin's Tower was not going anywhere and it's not like he had a deadline or anything. First thing's first he got out a Capsule to get out a little campsite, drank plenty of water, and ate a hearty meal. Before putting everything back into Capsules and putting them back in their case.
He looked over to the horizon, he was still a far way's away from his destination. He can't even see it in the distance yet. Though that's not going to deter him. Instead of flying he decided to walk the rest of the way with staff in hand. He's been flying around on a cloud for so long so he needed the exercise.
Of course it wasn't always a leisurely walk. He had to hike up hills, and climb mountains to continue his path. Even so he took his time and went at a steady pace, taking more breaks now and then and keeping more track of the time. Until eventually he made it to the bridge that connects the Central and Western Lands. And in the distance over the horizon he sees it, Korin's Tower.
While flying most of the way helped, he had a feeling that if he followed through and flew all the way over the bridge. He would collapse from exhaustion from exerting himself too much. So he went across the bridge until he finally stepped foot into the Western Lands. On his way to be trained by one of the greatest Martial Artists in the whole world and the reason he is here now.
