As he was running through the jungle, going to where they believe Team Citrus is hiding, Will manages to deftly dodge a laser blast at him. It was definitely fired from a weapon and wasn't a ki blast. As more laser bolts came at him. He thought for a sec that these could be mercenaries that Team Citrus hired to protect them or even more Tuffles, but as he got closer he came to realize they are actually small laser turrets that were hidden within the foliage that came out the moment Will got too close. Most likely the same type that fired at him earlier. With his staff and some Ki enhancement he was able to break them all with ease clearing the path for his comrades.
As if he thought that was the only trap within this jungle he heard a clicking sound beneath his feet and managed to jump out of the way in time before an explosion happened. Landmines, of course there would be landmines. He then starts floating in the air and flies the rest of the way but he was going so fast he didn't notice the infrared trip wire that set off something else. When some holes came out of the ground as strange hovering metallic spheres floated up with a large buzzsaw in the middle of each. The blades then went over to Will attempting to slice him up.
"Huh, that's a new one," he said casually.
Before nonchalantly putting a paw up a blasting each one with a Ki Blast. The defenses of this place seemed to ensure that anyone who came across this place whether by accident or not would die, but it seems they didn't anticipate or count for an intruder being as strong as them. Though he wishes his upcoming opponents would be as easy as the defenses that protect them. As he knows from the footage and experience he had fighting them before, that he will be in for the fight of his life. He is confident at the very least that Bass would be able to aide him through this.

And aid him in this he would. The Namekian however was still sore about the fact that their leisure boat trip had cost him to be on break longer than his actual break was supposed to be. To make matters worse, the one who advocated for the trip had along the way been displaced. He typically didn't question the whims of people having ulterior motives- the truth was he'd had a nose good enough to smell something fishy with the things she'd said. Them disappearing could've been deliberate to work with Tuffles, for all he knew, but he presumed she sought the finances Momentum Financial had at their disposal. Letting out a sigh, the Namekian trailed behind Will. If nothing else, it was amusing to watch him dance around and ward off the various traps he kept setting off one after one. In fact it almost at one point made him forget about the annoyances plaguing his mind. Bass couldn't help but also noticed that while at the end of the day the traps were ineffective against some of the greatest martial artists on Earth, they most certainly were extremely sophisticated and overkill against ordinary people or military forces. This stuff was without a single question in his mind, Tuffle tech. That meant that this whole set-up was a diversion, or the Tuffles were set up nearby. These weren't mild defenses either, at least to Earthling standards, but to Tuffles he wasn't sure if all it was. Nevertheless consumed by his thoughts, his head would only budge as he was walking to avoid a laser or deadly contraption. He was typically so in a rush to get things done that he could only relax when he deliberately set himself free time. At this point in their little journey, he'd been long overdue to get back to work. His voice raised from behind Will. " Hey, we must be getting pretty close now with all of the traps. Though if they wanted to be unnoticed, why have traps? Just doesn't make sense." He'd say. Following that, his hands would come up to his bald and shiny blow head and rest there as he let out a roar of frustration. " Ack! Alright, look, Will, let's pick up the pace. I needed to be back at work more than half an hour ago, I humored the leisure boat trip because that girl thought it'd be nice, but now that it's just the two of us let's get it done." Bass would burst off of the ground, the trees shaking as leaves and acorns fell to the ground from the pressure. The Namekian would sail into the air, looking around himself in a full arc before dashing forward as an airburst indicated the start of his movement. Trees became a blur of green, and he'd start to perform multiple circles around some areas, dropping down and feeling around for traps recklessly. After all, on the one or two occasions a laser fired or a mine went off, even if he didn't avoid it, they didn't really have enough firepower to seriously hurt him. " My secretary is going to be so pissed! Meetings- we have meetings this afternoon!" Needless to say, Bass's patience had crumbled with the realization that the Red Ribbon Remnant had left them. 550 11,894/14,000 Will O. Wisp

"These traps are most likely to take care of whatever non trained people step onto the surface and wander too close to their base, but since none of these are able to take out Martial Artists as strong as us. I am guessing that either they underestimate how strong people can become or that there are even tougher defenses in the actual base or something they send out to take care of people that are equal to or even great then our power," Will said. He then turned and saw the size of a corpse, a skeleton wearing an explorer's shirt riddled with bullet holes, hat, traveling backpack, and appeared to have been trying to map out this uncharted island as he has a pen and unfinished parchment in both hands. Will gave a short prayer for this poor soul who had the misfortune of such a fate. As he then dug a hole with his bare hands and then proceeded to bury the body. After dusting off his hands he then turned Bass who is upset that he is extremely late for work. "While I admire your passion for your job, I am afraid this is more important then pencil and paper pushing. Just call in and give them an excuse of stomach problems or something." Will said. He then looked around the area suspiciously, as if looking for someone watching them. "Though we shouldn't be showing our full power just yet, I have a feeling that these place is covered with hidden surveillance devices and are probably listening to this conversation right now," Will whispered quietly to Bass. He then looked towards where he was attacked by missiles earlier, smoke still rising from the location giving them an indication of which way to go. As he begins sprinting through the forest. Though he took a less reckless approach then Bass did. Carefully and expertly dodging whatever trap came his way and then disabling them with precision. He wants to make sure there are no trap left so that nobody else who stepped foot on this island will meet the same fate as that cartographer corpse from earlier. Besides, after he beats Citrus and captures them to give them over to the authorities, he does plan to destroy the base as well to prevent them from doing further illegal activities here. He just hopes that they didn't rig the island to explode or anything like that. He wouldn't want to see such a beautiful landscape be wiped out in an instant. Hearing Will's voice, the Demon Clan Namekian turned about and faced the other martial artist below the treeline. Drifting backwards as the gap between them began to close, Bass simply gave a shrug to his first statement. " If that's what you want to think. I mean, theoretically it's not impossible, but they've never met me." Still drifting back, the Namekian's antennae would twitch several times as he wrestled with his irritation. He'd never been the type of martial artist to favor subtlety and technique, he often solved his problems with overwhelming force and sheer potential, this was no different. Seeing the body of a former Human, Bass by and large didn't make any comments on the matter. When it came to the fundamental elements that defined the person he'd become, often times nobody heard about them; needless to say he had taken note that the Tuffles didn't have a problem with killing people. When Will would comment on his work however, the Namekian waved a hand to the side while addressing him. " Again, if that's what you want to believe. My company doesn't just exist as a dayjob, but I suppose I shouldn't expect other people to put two and two together. Needless to say a day of 'stomach problems' will cause bureaucratic blockages that will ultimately prevent me from doing more, sooner. I'm a very organized man, Will. At least when it comes to my job and not my goals." He said, eventually cracking a smile before laughing at some of the absurdity of past adventures. Noting Will's change in behavior, Bass drifted in closer to see what was the matter. Touching down next to him, he'd crouch down to listen to what Will had to whisper to him. Nodding his head once, he'd stand back up to his full height and drift upwards again. " Whatever. At this point these Tuffles are sounding like more bark and less bite, just like that Shark. I'll see what they can do, but needless to say you don't have to worry. Sometimes I'm not even sure of how much progress I've made with training... Busy, busy days, these are." Turning around and flying through the air, he'd occasionally only have to really drift to the side as a laser fired out from the canopy. Otherwise the air didn't have much in terms of traps, with there being no surfaces to install any. It was for the most point a tactical choice as much as it was a choice made out of convenience. The Namekian started to rise up higher into the air to get an overall view of the island in the hopes of seeing what the source of the smoke was. Looking near where the smoke column was coming from, he simply sighed as he saw it covered up by a grouping of trees. It made sense, causing an epiphany that made Bass snap his fingers and fly back down. He'd fly directly over Will, a low voice murmuring something to his battle partner before he'd fly back up. " Chances are they're underground." Soaring back into the sky, despite his frustration he'd made the deliberate choice to commit to handling this problem. Going back now would only leave him empty handed and also late, whereas staying with this had the benefits of saving innocent people. It was a small price to pay in the long run, and he knew any problems that would arise because of his lateness could be fixed with brute force. It wasn't anything new- him having to substitute for big-rig machinery to get some manual work done. He could tell by this point they were getting closer to their target, or at least closer to a lead. If this wasn't their base and they weren't anywhere to be seen, he'd be forced to just move on and go back to work. The long journey packed with so much interaction had understandably made the Tuffles more prominent in his thoughts than they had a right to be. He admitted it to himself, he was curious about what the people that could take down Will and another Martial Artist were capable of. 693 13,009/14,000 Will O. Wisp

Will just shrugged and chosen to just roll with it. Admittedly he doesn't know much about how being a CEO work or businesses in general. It's not like one of the things he was taught in the Turtle School. I mean besides Martial Arts he was taught how to read, how to survive in the wilderness, math, and other subjects but nothing like what Bass has to handle. Perhaps he should look it up whenever he has the chance to. Though it's a surprise that someone as strong as Bass barely takes time off of his job to be able to actually train to get stronger. Though he did make a good point about that shark incident, it was still a huge threat Will still can't help but feel this will be different. "That shark still caused a lot of damage to the city but thankfully we were able to prevent it from doing any more, not to mention with Snow deciding to stay behind on the boat we are down one member so they have outnumbered by one, and that is if it is just the three of them in that base or if there is more just as strong waiting for us. Can never be too careful, it's important to keep different outcomes and scenarios in mind to expect the unexpected so that you are better prepared for it and that the enemy can't get the jump on you," Will explained. Though he stopped once Bass mentioned that they're probably underground. Come to think of it, they probably would be guarding the entrance now that those missiles have been destroyed. He looked to the ground below him, and began punching it fiercely at a super speed breaking through the Earth almost making it look like he is digging like a dog. He kept going until he hit something metallic and a lot sturdier. Taking his claws out to get a grip on the sheet of metal and peeling it back. He floats his head out of the hole and beckons Bass to come down inside with his paw. Going down the hole he made they appear to be inside the base. A metallic hallway adorned with many lights on the walls and other instruments. They do definitely seem to be advanced. He then begins running towards the hallway stopping as he sees an array of various lasers pop up. He puts his hand close to it and begins to feel a warmth coming from it, so it's doesn't appear to be infrared. He then plucks a tuft of fur off and lets it fall on the laser and is they burn and are sliced through. "Appears to be super heated plasma concentrated into lasers. Nasty stuff, even with Ki this could hurt us but luckily I can be able to squeeze through the openings in these and get to the other side of the hallway," Will said. He put his staff onto the ground and takes off his cape then starts flying slowly through the lasers and using his flexible body to go through the small openings of each net of lasers. He barely manages to sleep his tail past one before accidentally cutting some of his whiskers off on the right side of his face. As he manages to make it to the other side of the hallway. He looks to see a control panel that appears to be asking for a key-code of some kind. He then cracks the knuckles of his small paws knowing this is going to be a bit tedious. As his arm moves like a blur, faster than a speeding bullet. Punching in different combinations of numbers. Each time he got a wrong one it would beep and a light would glow red. Until he heard a ding as a green light shone from the panel. As the lasers all turned off. Dusting off his hands he walks back to where Bass was and picks his cape and staff up putting them both back on his attire. "Let's hurry, who knows what other kind of defenses they have, or how long we could still have the element of surprise," Will said. He then began running down the hall and through the automatic door at the end of it. Word Count: 716 Total Word Count: 4,862 Mission Word Count: (13,725/14,000) Tag: Bass

Immediately when he followed Will down and looked towards the security system, he'd raise a brow. He'd certainly raise it even further as the Turtle School Teacher bobbed and weaved his way around countless lasers. If it was him he'd have just ki blasted the whole block to smouldering ruins, but he saw no inefficiency with Will's approach. After all if he was graceful, he might just try the same fancy trick. What Bass was not expecting however as he raised his hand was to see Will become a blur in front of a terminal. Stopping his ki blast before it had a chance to fire out, he'd watch the sheer speed at which Will went before suddenly the lasers disabled. It seemed as if the Namekian was genuinely dumbfounded, his hand slowly lowering back to his side as he considered the implications of what had just happened. When he came back to he'd point a finger directly at the terminal and speak up. " That's a security flaw." Given of course, even the passcodes in The Momentum Corporation would lock out if the wrong numbers are entered enough times. For there not to be such a mechanism here made him question Tuffle tech, but it was naive to think that was their standard. If they were technological geniuses, that whole thing could've been part of another device, and Will was walking into a scheme. He honestly had no clue, only having one other experience dealing with an underground facility like that. Without further ado the Namekian marched forward passed Will. " Well, let's hope they're easier to find than my hunch would indicate." He said, tiredly. 275 14,000/14,000 Will O. Wisp Delve
