Kurogane hadn't properly celebrated Christmas in a long time. In fact, the last time he celebrated Christmas, it was the year before the attack on the compound. It wasn't that he didn't celebrate it afterward, living in his small apartment in Oolong City - well, the apartment belonged to his sister, she was paying for the rent and the groceries, after all - but usually, he did not put up decorations and at most his sister would send post cards or a small simple gift wrapped up in ribbon and colorful paper. But, this year, the young scarred teen felt the need to celebrate. Why? He didn't know. He just felt like maybe it was called for. So, he grabbed a gift, something simple but nice, something thoughtful and practical, and once he had it wrapped up - he paid extra at the store to have them professionally wrap it, Kurogane went to find the person to whom he was going to give it to. The redheaded saiyan was hard to miss. So, the white haired young member of the Sparrow clan, quietly and shyly approached. Upon arriving, he mumbled under his breath, somewhat hard to hear, his head lowered, his eyes on the ground, his face red, "MerryChristmas," he kind of mumbled the words together as one word and then he held out the gift to Cabin. Cabin stood beneath the large Christmas tree in the square. He had been experiencing a plethora of the Earthling holidays, but this one so far was his favorite. He had been promised gifts galore, and at the end of the night, a celebratory meal to welcome in the 'New Year' as the Earthling called it. He had been looking forward to this meal all day, and the smells wafting from all around him as people prepared their meals for their families made him drool. But he couldn't eat, not yet. The Earthlings had insisted that he must participate in their rituals of gift-giving before any meals were even ready. Saiyans had little need of gift-giving, and even less of gift-recieving. Any Saiyan worth their salt needed nothing but their own clothes and their own two hands. Cabin's eyes scanned the crowd around him. Then again, there were some awfully nice gifts around here. Maybe it really wouldn't hurt to participate, even if for his own curiosity. With a start, he was broken out of his musing by a silver-haired stranger who held a quite nicely wrapped gift out towards Cabin. This must be the Secret Santa they had spoken of. He had prepared for this, and that meal would be his! With a flourish, Cabin presented a return gift to Kuro and put on his best fake-smile, "Merry Christmas, Earthling."
