The filming, at least to Fenrir, had gone quite well. He wasn't used to such things, having only been in front of a camera a few times - the Hatchet advertisement campaign as well as the filming of the advertisement for the butler cafe were his most recent forays into the world of entertainment, or more specifically, advertisement, and really his celebrity was rather small. He wasn't exactly a viral sensation. He was known, or at least it appeared like he was known - after all, the women whom had taken care of him during the shoot, doing his makeup and helping him change into his grey tuxedo, had known him and had gushed over him excitedly. Still, he wasn't a Brussuls the Muscles type of famous. He wouldn't even know what to do with that kind of fame even if he was. He would feel, honestly, somewhat lost, confused, and unsure of what to do with himself if he was.
The wedding shoot had been quite hectic but it had been fun. Fenrir had been swept away from the others, the young ladies that had been given the task of preparing him for the shoot grinning and blushing and gushing and whispering among themselves. One of them had even asked for his autograph, which he had not been asked to give many times before and he gladly gave her one which left the young woman somewhat temporarily dazed.
He wouldn't lie, if anyone asked, and say that he didn't enjoy the attention. He also wouldn't lie and say he didn't milk it; as soon as they asked him to change into his new suit, the grey number, he teasingly stood up from his seat in the dressing room and undid his tie, tugging it off from around his neck, a teasing smirk crossing his face as the girls were unsure if they should leave the room to give him the privacy he needed to change or stay and watch the strip tease he was teasing them with the prospect with. Still, ultimately, he took the suit and changed into it in private.
He treated them kindly and with respect, why wouldn't he? They were polite to him, so he would be polite in turn. Once the shoot was done, he changed back into his regular clothing, the pinstriped suit he had arrived in, and graciously thanked the young ladies that worked with him during the shoot.
It had gotten rather late, as the shooting took several hours, especially with Director Cabbage demanding numerous takes of the same scene; he was a genius film director and every scene was like a painting, a work of art and the details mattered. Much like another director whose name Fen couldn't quite place, was it Dan? Stan? Stanley? Cube? He couldn't remember, their name was strange. Some time during shoots, between the takes of the wedding scene, Fen whispered to Juniper that he wouldn't mind going with her to check out Capsule Corp, perhaps the next day so they could meet early, get some coffee or tea and then go together to the Capsule Corp headquarters to check out their wares of vehicles.
And that is where he was, waiting at their agreed upon destination, a nice small coffee shop, a bistro with a light airy outside seating area. He stood outside, hands in his pockets as a nice comfortable breeze carried the scent of fresh brewed coffee and pastries around the area from inside.

It was unimaginable number of takes that Director Cabbage desired for the Kakarot wedding scene of the film, Juniper snacked on some of the food Vanille prepared, but she was struggling having the energy under bright spotlights that were hotter than the sun’s rays in a layered tuxedo. Perhaps, Clove and Verna Tea had the bright idea of wearing dresses, the mystic healer wanted something different to wear and it was fortunate that Fenrir desired an early start tomorrow morning by the end of the film shoot. After well deserved rest, Hachi was left in Clove’s condo which is where she stayed with her family, while her husband was out; it was either buying Kakarot souvenirs for their children, or dealing with the business side of being a samurai, which ranged from keeping up appearances or decapitating someone. It was a perfect morning, Juniper rushed over to the fated location, carrying her blazer over her shoulder, and while her hair bun resembled her companion Hachi, but the octopus was nowhere to be seen. “I hope I am not late or kept you waiting for too long. I tried to get here as quickly as possible on my own two feet. After all this time, I am still working on the sky dance art, and I plan to have mastered it before the world martial arts tournament.” The Dandelion Princess explained as she straightened up smelling the distinct smell of coffee, “Shall we go in for breakfast? It would be wise to fuel the brain to succeed in the vision, Fenrir-san.”Rather than wait for an answer, she lured her friend by the elbow, and went inside the restaurant flagging the waiter to escort them to table for two. Once they were seated, she ordered coffee, and a small stack of pancakes with fresh berries. The waiter stood by for the wolf deity to settle into his seat before taking his order. “So what did you have in mind, friend? Tell me everything.”
This was the first time, in a long while, that they were alone, often with the other living residents of Zen Tea house or a friend. The absolute very last time was when they were buying supplies for the bakery in Oolong City, but Hachi had accompanied them. The octopus was occupied looking after Verna Tea, the blonde cousin that was also an extra for kakarot shoot, and had eluded her parents to be near the rest of the family. Rather than send her home, Clove decided to look after the preteen, by taking her to the West City zoo. Traveling with children was out of the question, even with her own offspring, without surveying the area ahead, and she recalled what Clove had mentioned about where Fenrir used to reside. “Clove is not the type to gossip but she did share with me that winter berries from the northern lands are worth trying. I understand that is where you hail from in your youth. Shall we make arrangements to visit the northern lands together soon?”[507] Fenrir

There was a nice breeze outside of the bistro. It wasn't anything too strong, just enough to tickle the senses of anyone standing outside - or sitting in the case of several of the patrons at their own tables. He could pick up the sweet scents of the pastries and confections that were being made fresh inside - cinnamon rolls, honey buns, fresh baked breakfast muffins, croissants of various types - and he could smell the coffee. It had that nice tinge that tickled his nose just right. He rarely drank coffee, but when he did, he savored it.
The people nearby were chatting among themselves, he wasn't really listening but he couldn't help but listen to the sound of their voices. They were having a peaceful day, that was nice. It had been so long since anything that could shatter that piece occurred. And he was more than happy that nothing else appeared to be happening. Peace was best savored, enjoyed, because there was always something preparing to dash that piece to the rocks.
On this particular day, Fen was dressed almost similarly to what he wore yesterday; in the sense that he was not clad in his red leather number. Rather, he was wearing another suit. Albeit, this one was not pinstriped. It was something that he was getting slowly used to, wearing such clothes. But, if he planned on getting his vision off the ground, he had to get used to wearing such things, right? He couldn't show up to work in his leather outfit...Could he? Well, maybe he could, but he at least wanted to look for the vehicle of his vision looking somewhat professional.
When the woman's voice caught his attention, it was already too late, he knew she was nearby. He could pick up her scent. It was a distinct and sweet aroma, almost like flowers, but different, more pleasing to his senses. Her presence was...warm. It was one reason he enjoyed her company. He was so used to the cold, it was practically flowing in his veins. The cold never bothered him, he had trudged through the snowy tundra in nothing but his skin. But, her presence was warmth personified. And it felt...nice. Just to have her nearby.
It was no small wonder why Koma chose her.
He peered over at her, that infamous grin of his spreading across his face as he waved at the young woman making her way over to him, "Ah, no need to apologize. I haven't been waiting too long. Plus, it gave me some time to think of what I wanted in my vehicle, if I were to find one at Capsule Corp today," he rubbed his chin, thinking it over."Sky dance art? Oh. Flying." It took him a second to remember the correct name for the ability to fly. "You'll get the hang of it. You're a lot smarter than I am. It took me a while before I learned it, and I'm older than dirt." He laughed as he considered that.
When she recommended eating breakfast, he nodded; as he realized that, in his excitement to go to the Capsule Corp. headquarters, he hadn't eaten anything that day.
Not like he was given much of a choice, she grasped onto his arm and pulled him along, which he allowed as he grinned at the young woman, enjoying her warmth but also the excitement that radiated off her like energy from a flame.
Once they were situated, he sat back in his seat and he pulled from his pocket a slip of paper, "Hm, it's a bit of a list... I wanted something that could work as a restaurant, but also a mobile home of sorts, so I can travel from one city, one town, to another. I think it's one of the best ways to advertise but also I get to travel around and see the world. I'm not much of an artist, but I doodled a few designs," He slid the piece of paper over to her as she would see that he had a list of wants for his vehicle, but also a few different designs, though there was one that he circled that he felt could work best.
"Oh, I'll take the same," He peered over at the waiter. "Oh, yes, winter berries are only grown in the northern regions in the snow. They're a delicious addition to a lot of recipes of the northern region, at least in the area where I'm from. They make winter berry wine. It's good for confections. I think some people also make it into preserves and jams. Would go great on top of pancakes."
The waiter walked away, having taken their order; though as he walked off, "Oh? You're here?" The wolf saw the familiar face of the long haired owner of the 'watering hole' that had catered the film shoot the day prior.
Vanille stood not far away, finishing up with bringing a table their order. He peered over at the wolf and Juniper, "Oh? I didn't think I'd see you two again; at least, not so soon." He walked over to the table, the serving tray tucked under one arm, dressed in an apron.
"I thought you had a job already," The wolf grinned, curious but playful.
"I do, but, I volunteered to work here for the day, and as you can see, business is picking up quite nicely," The long haired man peered over his shoulder at the customers taking seats in the tables and booths around them.
"Why volunteer to work here?" Fen leaned forward a bit in his seat.
"Their coffee," Vanille was watching the table nearby, a young woman was drinking her coffee, the one he had just served her.
"Their coffee?" That was a weird response, it left the wolf mildly confused.
"Yes, their coffee was detestable. So, I volunteered to work here..."
"You stormed their kitchen... to show them how to make a proper cup of coffee?"
"I guess you can say that, yes," Vanille grinned.

Age was not something Juniper considered being a factor with learning the skydance art, Fenrir reminded her that it took him ages despite being an ancient deity, it made perfect sense that training a half mortal body took so long. The Dandelion Princess was twenty years old, two years before that she had been training her whole life with a detestable proud demon mother on the mystic arts, she learned that most demons were proud of their heritage and social standing which she chose to do the opposite in her human appearance. In order to keep balanced chakras, pride was not an option that was available to her, only hard work and determination to selflessly help other people would enable her to restore balance in the world.
It made Juniper blush that Fenrir ordered exactly the same order, she looked at the a piece of paper with sketches of his ideas, as she listened to his explanation of the winter berries of his homeland.
“My children would enjoy the jam, they all seem to like it with toast, otherwise they refuse to drink their tea without it.” The Dandelion princess added to the subject.
Someone at the barista counter caught Fenrir’s attention, to her surprise they were met with Vanille so soon after the Kakarot film shoot the previous day, and he brought over their order of coffee explaining he volunteered because he wanted to brew the best. It was a bold move, it was admirable that someone so young operated a catering business, and volunteered to brew coffee, it meant his love for food was boundless.
“Vanille-san, you must have a great fondness for the quality of food, thank you for preparing the most delicious cup of coffee for us this morning.” Juniper bowed her head slightly, took a tiny sip of the hot beverage, and nodded, “When we’re not being lured into being film extras by my sister Clove, who also runs a cafe nearby, Fenrir-san and I operate our own bakery in Oolong City. Some of our investors have seen a profit in the past two years, we could use someone as hardworking as you on our payroll, would you be interested?”
While Fenrir developed the recipes, ordered the ingredients, and trained staff to replicate his creations it was Juniper who secured the funding to keep the whole operation functional in the Western Lands. Of course she was quick to offer employment to someone of Vanielle’s caliber, she saw much of the same in Fenrir when she asked him to start a business with her, reading people for their talents was her specialty.
“Of course, you may think about it, you do not need to give me an answer, I simply thought the food you catered at the Kakarot shoot was delicious, and I need someone who can be a bridge between myself and Fenrir-san. Part business savvy and part chef because we need to form a team to check on our bakery expansions.”
Juniper was aware that Fenrir had a desire to start more bakeries, while he told Hachiko about it who had refused him to discuss it further, the human form of herself understood that it was time to expand across the globe to open more bakeries. Of course, the main focus for their meeting today, was to make the vision of his global travel a reality after breakfast.
Black coffee was not something she drank often, she enjoyed it until there was room to add milk and sugar, then finished her cup placing it back on the saucer completely empty. [595] [1,102] Fenrir

"No surprise your children love tea. But, I'll make sure to introduce them to some of the teas of the northern region. They have a few different types of tea that I've only found up there; possibly due to the region in which the tea leaves grow. They're hard to find, difficult to grow, and only a select few places sell the stuff. So it's no surprise that it hasn't made its way down here." Fenrir nodded, "But, I'll find you some so you can try it as well, and if you like it you can bring some to the kids," Though a grin crossed his face as he rubbed his chin, "So, when am I gonna meet your little munchkins? I don't think I've ever met or seen your kids."
In fact, ever since he was told that Juniper had at least five children with Koma, the wolf had not even been shown a single picture of them. Then again, he hasn't also even seen Koma since the day that he sparred with Toma and Maxine alongside Juniper in the training room. Or at least, he didn't recall running into or meeting up with the elusive samurai since then.
When the long haired bar owner - and caterer - joined them, Fenrir couldn't help but imagine a few things; some of them, he couldn't quite mention in public, let alone around Juniper. But, a few of them involved hiring Vanille to his future roving restaurant.
Vanille rubbed the back of his neck a bit, a bit of a red splash of color crossing his cheeks. A shy smile soon joined the little blush, "Well, to be honest, it was kind of spur of the moment. I was walking by and the smell of the coffee hit me like a ton of bricks. It smelled burned. High in acidity. Then I came in here," He motioned around a bit then peered over at the kitchen, "Ordered a cup of their coffee. Tried it. Spat it out. I'm not usually like that, I try to maintain somewhat of a professional appearance." He confessed, sounding somewhat embarrassed by his reaction in hindsight, "But, I guess I felt they needed some pointers. So I walked into the kitchen and told them to throw their coffee in the garbage..."
"You're pretty bold," Fenrir piped up, just imagining that in his head. Vanille, storming the kitchen, angry at the schlop he was given that they dare called coffee.
"I did apologize. But, the owner of the place said it was fine, and admitted that the bistro had been losing business because of the coffee. He inherited the place from his old man and wasn't particularly interested in the place so he kind of let someone else run it and they did a poor job. They've since been fired - oh about half an hour ago - and I convinced the owner to take the reigns of the place. Running a business is hard but fulfilling. Especially if you do it right. I am fond of food; frankly it's a miracle I'm not fat." He laughed boisterously, "I train a lot when I'm not working so I keep in shape so I can eat more," He whispered over to them. "Eh? Work in your sister's restaurant?"
He canted his head, tapping his chin, thinking it over.
"I also wouldn't mind hiring you for my business. However, it's not finalized yet. I'm still in the market for a vehicle."
"A vehicle?" That caught Vanille's attention. Why would he need a vehicle for a restaurant.
Fenrir pointed to the piece of paper with various drafts and designs, "I'm making a mobile restaurant. I like this design here."
"Oh, very Westernlands themed. I can see it in the architecture. That thing would be fairly massive if you want all those things in it. The kitchen, the pantry, the restaurant and an apartment above it all? Oh, you want it all? Hm, it is doable... But a roving restaurant? That's not something you see every day, it sounds interesting."
"So, I don't mind sharing," Fenrir said in a teasing tone, resting his chin on his palm, grinning over at Juniper and Vanille, "You don't have to respond too fast. As Juniper said, you can take your time to think it over. However, with your talent, your fondness for cooking, your hard working nature, I can see you being a valuable asset to any restaurant you work in."
"Hm, I'll think it over. And before I give you an answer, maybe you two can come visit my watering hole one of these days. It's not the biggest place, it's a good size. But it's the only place I got open. I haven't had the chance to expand the business yet. I'll go see if your food is being prepared properly."

“Sounds like we need to make a trip to the Northern lands soon to try out all the winter delicacies.” Juniper added, “Oh, I was a bit of a shut in with the children, was I not? Every hour was quite a handful, especially since the Tea Clan, and the White Cat Clan were the only ones allowed to visit the children in the first two years. Not because I did not desire to see my friends but my schedule was domineered by the family. I was able to continue my plans to meet with martial artists while traveling to see the world since the quintuplets grandmothers took over their upbringing. Whenever we are back in the Western Lands again, I will gladly introduce you to them, Fenrir-san.”
At an offer of job opportunities, Vanille asked in a hushed whisper if she meant Clove’s chain of restaurants, and Juniper nodded in disagreement. “We only have one specialty restaurant in the Western Lands called Okami Bakery in Oolong City, it is separate from sister’s Tea restaurant chains. Fenrir and I plan to open more bakeries soon. I figured you more than qualified be a bridge towards our goal of opening the next bakery if you’re interested.”
The conversation of Fenrir’s plans for a roving restaurant was discussed with great detail, it was an opportunity for the wolf deity to share his love for food with the world, and Vanille was quite intrigued by the idea by asking a few questions. Soon he excused himself, as he wanted to check if their order of pancakes was ready to be served, and Juniper met Fenrir’s crimson red eyes with her cobalt blue ones.
“I was thinking that if Vanille accepts the offer, he can be a district manager of sorts between the regions, assisting in hiring bakers at the new shops, while being part of your dream restaurant. It would be wonderful to have him around to tie up the loose ends whenever we are busy. I do enjoy both of your cuisines, I can only imagine what tasting both styles of cooking would taste like, almost as if tasting what the world has to offer.”
Juniper softly chuckled demurely, resting her chin in the palm of her hand, as she looked out the window briefly for the potential future they would share together. After being raised within the confinement of castle walls, it was refreshing to be around a valued friend, and while she was not entirely free of her responsibilities none of them felt like burdens to her personally.
"Perhaps after our trip to Capsule Corp show room, to finalize the design of your dream restaurant, we could visit Vanille's venue?"

"Hm, I'm sure that you'll love them. They have something for everyone up there," Fenrir rested his chin on the palm of his hand, a small smile crossing his face as he appeared to be thinking back to his homeland in the frozen northern regions. It had been so long since he went back home. A tiny pang of regret reverberated through him. Maybe he should have sent home more letters. He hasn't written one in so long. Then again, he wasn't even sure if they were still delivering to that area anymore.
When she commented that she was a shut in with the children, and how strict the families were and are, especially when it came to her children, he couldn't help but chuckle a bit, "Ah, family. It is quite the conundrum. Can't live with them, can't live without them. I would love to meet the little ones. Do you have any pictures of them?" He sat up a bit, perking up somewhat. "I wonder if they take more after you or Koma." He tried to imagine the five children, and doing so imagining them with a mixture of details from Juniper and Koma. If they had Koma's furrowed brow, or Juniper's eyes.
The idea of a cute small baby having Koma's serious scowling face almost made him burst out laughing and he shook his head as he managed to maintain his composure.
When Vanille excused himself, Fenrir turned his attention back to Juniper, "District manager? Hm, he does seem the type; he would be very useful. Plus, he could also work in the kitchen if necessary. I recall seeing everyone eating the food that he catered for the shoot and everyone appeared to enjoy it quite thoroughly. So, I do think that if we were to mix our foods together, we would have a very winning restaurant on our hands."
Then Juniper commented that they should, perhaps, visit Vanille's venue, his watering hole as he calls it, and the wolf liked the idea. He had wanted to see his business since the moment he mentioned it during the shoot.
"That sounds like a good idea; I wonder what his little watering hole looks like. He said it was called the Chrysanthemum - mainly because his investors wanted something fancy sounding to endear to the high paying guests - I wonder what he'd think of the few names I came up with for my roaming restaurant." Fenrir tapped his chin, thinking of the few names he had come up with, though he hadn't run them by anyone yet. Perhaps he should? Maybe when Vanille returned he would ask him and Juniper their thoughts on the names he came up with.
And, think of the devil and there he appears; Vanille appeared, returning to their table. He was expertly balancing two trays in his hands, carrying them with swift precision from the kitchen to their table. He set them down onto the table smoothly as he revealed that he had brought them their desired breakfasts; the pancakes steaming, fresh and fluffy. There was a small saucer with squares of butter in case they wanted to put some on their pancakes; and he had brought them out a small selection of syrups that they could try. It appeared that they had original as well as blackberry, strawberry, and even a chocolate syrup in case they wanted to use that on their pancakes rather than the maple syrup.
"Good timing," Fen grinned over to the long haired Vanille, "Mind if I run a few names past the two of you? They're some names I'm considering for the roving restaurant slash bakery. I hadn't quite decided on a name for it and needed opinions on the few I thought up while designing the restaurant."
"Hm, I don't see why not. Go ahead and lay your ideas on us," Vanille nodded, as he appeared intrigued.

Juniper was caught up discussing Vanille while he was away, that she nearly forgot to pull out her capsule corp phone from her blazer to reveal what her offspring looked like, and she slid it across the table to show Fenrir photos of her quintuplets. Mate was the only one who was the odd one out compared to his siblings, he was a pig beastman with an eye patch, instead of hands he had hooves, with the uncanny resemblance to Oolong himself. “Mate is named after my departed brother, he also looks like his great grandfather, all of my children are able to transform their physical forms, as most descendants of Oolong are capable of doing so. The eye patch is worn because he likes pirates, for some reason he changes his humanoid hands into hooves so that the female servants can spoon feed him and his father suspects he likes to be pampered by the staff.” A delicate finger changed the screen to the next photo, “Kokeshi resembles his paternal grandfather and is training to be a buke under Koma initially and is training under various samurai in his absence. Finally, the girls, we have three: Cinnamon, Ginger, and Anise.”While the children were only two years old, the photos revealed they all looked like ten year olds, as it was normal for demon children to age differently either slower or faster depending on the demonic lineage. The final photo was of Anise who transformed into a teenage demon form, a snow white haired, paled skinned, blue eyed demoness that looked like Juniper and Clove in their proper human forms which inspired the appearance. It was the opposite for her daughter Anise, in that she was born a copper red head with amber eyes, and chose a teenage demonic appearance in order to scold her siblings for misbehaving. “Anise has been learning mysticism under Natsuki Tea, my mother who also trained me, and is the only one among the quintuplets who has been able to transform into a teenager since she has taken a leadership role among them. While Kokeshi is mature he tends to be quiet and observant instead of telling his siblings what to do unlike Anise.”At this point Vanille returned with the pancakes, Juniper removed her phone from the table, to make room for the various syrups to be placed on the table. Fenrir mentioned he was thinking up names for his new business and he desired for Vanille to provide any feedback on it so he remained at the side of the table. It was rather quiet in the restaurant, as the dine in rush hour had already passed before their arrival, and the only ones being served since most guests were outside in the fresh air being attended by another waitress who was charged with that section. “Thank you, Vanille-san. I bet the pancakes taste delicious as it looks.” Juni picked up her silverware to try them without syrup so she could appreciate the taste prior to sweetening the dish. “MMm...Oh! My mouth might be full but I am still listening. Continue discussing your ideas, Fenrir-san. ”

The grinning wolf deity leaned forward somewhat, resting his chin on the palms of his hands, his elbows on the table as he canted his head, curious. Juniper dug out her CC phone and slid it across the table, allowing him to get a good look at the screen. There were pictures there, of her children. "Oh?" The first one he noticed was Mate. He noticed that he didn't look much like Juniper, or Koma, in the fact that he was a pig-man, a beastman, or as others would say an anthropomorphic pig. He had chubby cheeks and hoofs for hands and an eye-patch.
Juniper named him specifically, so Fen could keep that name burned into his memory for later; just in case he has the chance to meet Juniper's offspring, he can greet them properly by their names.
"Oh?" He grinned, looking at the image. Mate was cute in his own way; Fen had to admit, he liked the cute chubby cheeks he had, plus the playful look on his face. He looked like an energetic young man, "I bet he's a smart kid. Hm, pirates, I'm sure I've run into some in the past. But, I can't think of their names off the top of my head." He attempted to remember then shook the thoughts away as he returned to something more important, Juniper's offspring. "Transforming the body," It took him a second and then he recalled that Juniper does that regularly; she did have this attractive black haired and more human form as well as her other platinum haired form which was her true 'demonic' visage. He liked both forms equally. "That sounds like a useful ability." He nodded and kept listening, leaning in a bit more, showing his interest and his intent on learning more about Juniper and her family. "Hm, a buke? Is that similar to a duke? Wasn't Toma some kind of Duke? Or something similar to that title?" He looked at the image.
"He does look a lot like Koma. He even has a little face scar." He motioned to the picture, "Hehe, he looks like a good kid. Oh? Three girls? Must be crazy in your house with so many children. I'm not sure if I'm ever having any kids of my own, but I don't mind them. Children visited often when I was back home. They liked seeing my true form. They called me, what was it, Mr. Fluffers or something similar. They enjoyed curling up in my fur in the snow; they said it was so warm. I didn't mind. It kept them out of trouble." He grinned, recalling some memories of his past. "Kokeshi sounds a lot like Koma; even during the training session, he stayed rather quiet. Just sitting back with his chubby raccoon dog friend and observing. He isn't much of a talker, is he? Kind of the strong silent stoic type? He's definitely the opposite of me then," He laughed boisterously then grinned a big toothy smile at Juniper, "I like your family."
He didn't have much family. Now that he thought about it. He didn't have a father. He had no siblings, that he knew of. He could have some that he just never met. But he didn't know of any. All he had was his mother. He had to visit her soon. Perhaps once he got his vehicle, he would venture north and show it to her. Maybe she would even be willing to join him? But, that was a very unlikely event. She almost never left the snowbound northern region where her home was situated.
Vanille's return allowed him to turn away from the phone but he had, by then, burned every image into his mind. The pancakes were steaming, fresh, fluffy. They were stacked beautifully and Vanille smiled at the compliment from Juniper.
"Decided to have them fresh made. I made them using fresh buttermilk." Vanille smiled a bit, He peered over at Fenrir, listening to what he had to say, "I like the idea of the restaurant. It would be something different; I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having anything like this, or at least anything remotely close to this scale before. The most I have ever seen was a food truck, but even that is for small scale business, they have a few tables, the food truck parks, people eat, and they drive to replenish supplies. This is a full on roving restaurant, much bigger, can hold more people in and out, at least going by the design you seem fond of...It's new, it's innovative. It's risky. But, if you have investors who know their stuff, this looks like a worthwhile gamble. I would not mind working with you both."
Fenrir grinned wide at that, "Great. Well, before we head out," He had taken a good healthy bite out of his pancake, eating before speaking, "I want to check out your little watering hole; maybe it'll give me some ideas for a small bar inside the restaurant."
"I don't mind that. I'm not gonna stay here all day; I did tell the owner that I would help him for a few hours, and I'll be ready to take you to my place once you finish eating." The long haired young man nodded.

“Yes, he likes to pretend he is a pirate out at sea with his retainers, but it is his way of coping with being isolated from society. However, I have my doubts he will change when he finally joins society, he is a lot like his uncle in that regard.”
After spending time in Oolong City, it seemed Fenrir was unaware of the fiefdoms controlled by the Duchies, rank mattered to the residents of the Western Lands, it was a hot topic to be discussed among nobles to keep their territories safe from the namekian hordes. “A buke is lower rank to a Samurai. Just like a Page or Squire is to a Knight. I took the time to research the northern lands' history prior to making arrangements to visit, our cultures are far more similar in terms of monarchy, compared to the Eastern lands which is only similar in architecture and clothing style.”
Gerald, the racoon, Fenrir described the rodent like a person, perhaps because everyone in her family could transform. However, Gerald was a lot like Hachi, they were creatures with superior intellect and personality with an affinity to perform tasks similar to a human. Juniper curiously nodded in response, as she used her knife and fork elegantly like a woman raised in a royal household, and she figured most living creatures were people to a wolf deity.
Arrangements were made to meet Vanille after breakfast, Fenrir explained it was to determine the interior for his visionary restaurant, more specifically if a bar would fit well with the design. In fact, the long raven haired young man wished to escort them there personally, and Juniper smiled kindly as she gently chewed her pancakes.
Juniper picked the maple syrup over the flavored ones, typically she ate her pancakes with honey, but maple was a close second to her tastes. At some point she realized after all this time, especially after becoming a mother, that she was different from when she first left Oolong’s castle. After Vanille left to finish his rounds at the restaurant to prepare to leave, she took the time to reflect for a moment, especially now that she was left alone with Fenrir.
“How often are you in your wolf form, Fenrir-san?” Juniper said curiously as she took the last bite of her pancake stack, clearing her plate, “I have come to realize that I have been suppressing my demonic appearance for two years, that not only has my personality been split off as Hachiko, we seem to have our own memories as well. I never imagined that I would be faced with consequences for changing my appearance for so long.”
Juniper cast down her cobalt blue eyes, what she really wanted to ask is if Hachiko was okay, of course she could ask Koma, but she wanted to know from a trusted friend as well. The truth was, she had no idea how Hachiko acted around others, and it seemed Hachiko held no memories as a humanoid mystic healer. While she waited for an answer, she calmly slipped on her blazer, she took it off initially to run to the venue so she did not keep Fenrir waiting, and now that she ate a delicious breakfast they would soon fulfill a dream. "Mate sounds like a good kid," Fenrir smiled, thinking of how the young pig beastman boy would behave, pretending to be pirates, swashbucklers, out on the wild seas with his crew of retainers, "He sounds like he has a lot of fun."
When she mentioned that his behavior could be his coping mechanism for being isolated from the world for so long, Fenrir canted his head and tapped his chin a bit, thinking it over; he somewhat could relate to that.
"Yes, I know how that feels. I was kept isolated from the world for some time. Though, I've long since left my isolation. Still, I can understand how he feels. All that really matters is that he's happy and has fun, right? I can't wait to meet him or the others."
So a buke wasn't a duke? She hadn't just mispronounced things? The way she explained the definition was simple; a buke was to a samurai as a page or a squire was to a knight. So one of the Tea Princess' children wanted to be a pirate and another wanted to be the squire of a samurai? What a strange but interesting household, such diverse plans they had.
"My wolf form?" As soon as Vanille had wandered off, to complete his duties to this particular restaurant before leaving with them, Juniper asked a question that piqued his interest. No one really talked about his wolf form; then again not many people knew about it. In fact, Juniper was one person whom he had actively shown his wolf form too, albeit in the form of a Chakra wolf. He attempted to think on it, eating the stack of pancakes as he did, digging through his memories for any instance when he changed into his wolf form, and surprisingly had not found any results.
"It has been a long time since I took on my wolf form. I guess I've been in this body for so long that I never really found a need for it. I can do it, at any moment, but I always get this weird feeling that if I do, people are going to run and scream and call me a monster or something." That was one memory he did not like. He shook his head, refusing to frown and instead stuffing his mouth full of pancake and eating it, throwing any and all upsetting feelings to the wind in favor of delicious pancakes.
Peering over at Juniper, a small smile crossed his face, "I saw your other form. She appeared interesting. I don't know if something similar would happen to me if I become my true form or not. But, maybe we'll get to see?" He canted his head, "I wouldn't mind showing you my true form if you wish to see it, though I may have to do it somewhere not inside a building. Hm, maybe an empty field. More space to stretch the legs." He nodded as he finished up his stack of pancakes and set down the fork, "Ah, that was great."
It was at that point that Vanille made his reappearance, a small smile on his face, "If you two are done, I'll take your dishes to the kitchen and then we can head out. Manager said I'm good to leave. My place isn't that far from here, I can shower up and I can show you to my bar. How's that sound to you both?"

“For medical reasons, I would like to find out, we may be different but we still possess access to ki, which is why I have interest in it now.” Juniper added, “If you do not mind, perhaps in the privacy of the wilderness, or a room. We can find out if you still retain your consciousness in your true form.”
Moments later Vanille returned, offering an invitation to go to his home, while Juniper was quick to make friendships with people enough to invite them to live in zen estate; she had never been asked to visit anyone’s proper home while she was in the company of a friend. Unaware of Fenrir’s feelings on the matter, given that they were planning to hire him as a restaurant manager and cook, it seemed appropriate to become close.
“Well, if Fenrir-san is up to it, then I will gladly accept the invitation.” Juniper did need to affirm that she was finished given all her plates were empty, “I hope you have tea at home, I would enjoy a hot cup right about now, specifically an herbal one, rather than order it here.”
As soon as the plates were cleared off, she stood up from her seat, she slipped her phone inside her blazer pocket, and waited for Vanille to lead the way given he knew where to go. By the time they waited, Hachi hovered by, some of the guests outside were startled to see a floating octopus performing the sky dance art.
“Excuse me.” Juniper bowed her head demurely, as she calmly walked outside, and met with her companion, “You’re back from the ocean so soon, Hachi?”
The octopus blinked then imitated an expressive smiling eyes, Hachi had not seen Juniper in a while since they arrived in west city, and was impressed that her hair was shaped like him and was up to scale.
“Ah, you like the way I dressed my hair today? Oddly enough, I do miss my usual Tsumami Kanzashi hair ornaments, it’s like a crown, taking it off makes me feel light headed.”
Hachi responded by using magic materialization to create five black silk squares, while it would have been easier to produce the flower blossom, Hachi was an artisan, so he made the pedals the traditional way, and then placed it in her hair; securing it with a single strand of her raven hair like thread. It had been a long day for Vanille. He had really done quite a lot; and that was even before he had managed to rope himself into working at this cafe after having a taste of their atrocious coffee. It was something he had never considered doing, just simply going to the cafe and drinking some coffee had been the original plan. He had sat down at one of the outside tables after ordering and he read a newspaper while he waited for his coffee to be prepared. When the waitress returned with the cup, she looked somewhat half asleep when she handed him the cup and sauce, he smiled politely and then took a sip. The potent flavor of the coffee hit him hard but what it was wasn't good. The flavor was wrong. It was all wrong. It tasted burned. It tasted old. It tasted re-heated. It tasted too acidic. This cup of coffee would not do. In fact, he would not serve this swill to prisoners. He sat the cup down and, after politely asking the young woman if her manager was in, he went inside and spoke to the owner of the establishment. And, well, one thing led to another, he arranged for coffee beans from his own eatery to be brought over, and he ground them himself then brewed them a cup of coffee. The cup of coffee rejuvenated the manager and they allowed him to spend the day working in their kitchen; oh he had a lot to do.
But, once it was all said and done, Vanille felt as if he had accomplished his goal; he showed them how to make a proper cup of coffee. He also expanded his business, as they were going to order coffee beans from his eatery more often, so he would have to make a note to send this particular restaurant more coffee beans. And then to top it all off, he ran into Fen and Juniper once again. So all in all, a busy but rewarding day for him.
In the meantime, Fenrir had been enjoying spending his time with Juniper. Her presence was always quite appreciated. She gave off a warmth that he just couldn't get enough of. Though the questions she was asking confused him a bit, he did understand why she would ask. Both of them did have a kind of 'alter ego' that they suppressed, that they could transform into, at any given moment. Though, she had done so to hers for so long that it had managed to create a kind of split persona, different and sentient, from the first. It was very interesting. But, he did not believe that he had that situation. He had been in his wolf form for so long before he was placed in this body, that he was sure that he could control himself should he become a wolf once more. Perhaps it was because he was older? Or it was perhaps due to the nature of his existence, a wolf deity trapped in a humanoid body. Either way, the questions still were interesting and he was curious now about it as well.
Once they were outside of the cafe, they were greeted by the hovering octopus and the wolf couldn't help but grin as he moved over to the small hovering creature and pet it on the head, "Oi, I was wondering where you were. Come on, we're gonna go check out Van's place and then we're gonna go see if we can get my roving restaurant designed over at Capsule Corp. I'm sure I can work in a place for you to rest in the design. Whatcha think?"

Hachi responded with enthusiasm of the prospect of offering his artistic talents in the design development of Fenrir’s dream. While the octopod did not verbally speak, the glint in his black pearl eyes expressed his thoughts on the subject, and bubbled up ink in response to the head patting by the wolf deity.
“Vanille is taking us to his home first for tea while he showers, then a short walk to his night bar. Afterwards, Capsule Corp, to design the roving restaurant.” Juniper reminded Fenrir who was occupied with Hachi. There was a lot to remember as this was a new itinerary from what they initially planned when they met up.
The trio waited outside for their gracious host to join them after wrapping up his shift at the cafe, fortunately it was early enough in the morning to fulfill their plans accordingly. It was a strange thought that their waiter was in fact a customer who was volunteering due to his culinary expertise as a barista and mixologist.
Juniper was similar in that regard, she was always willing to aid people with their health, physical or mental because of her vast experience in the subject. However, her patients had to be willing to receive her care which was far different from the culinary world. In terms of food, people were more willing to take advice from an expert, while their personal health was guarded and private.
The weather outside was perfect, the Dandelion clan princess slipped into her blazer again, as it was appropriate to wear to meet with the Capsule Corp representative, her cobalt eyes met Fenrir’s briefly who was dressed well for business in a pinstripe suit and glasses; perhaps to mask his demonic crimson hues from drawing too much attention.

Once Vanille finished with everything that needed to be done, once he made all of his arrangements, once the manager of the cafe finished sobbing tears of joy and shaking his hand, the long haired tattooed man stepped outside in the cool comfortable air of the morning and walked over to the three waiting for him; well, first it had been two, it had been Juniper and her very tall friend, Fenrir. Now it was three, a small hovering octopus was floating around the two of them, apparently quite energized and happy, enthusiastic.
"Oh, who's this little one?" Vanille questioned as he looked over the small octopus. "Aren't you cute?" He smiled warmly, "Well, follow me. My place isn't far from here, and yes, I have several kinds of tea at my home. I actually have quite a collection; my mother was very old fashioned, and she trained me in tea ceremonies. I don't do it as often as I used to, and I branched out to other types of tea, but I can make you a nice fresh cup when we arrive. It would be my pleasure."
With that, he led the way.
Fenrir walked close to Juniper. Of all four of them, it was Fenrir and Hachi who stood out the most. Hachi of course being a hovering octopus would garner quite a bit of attention. Then there was Fenrir and his imposing height and confident swagger, walking through town with a strut as if he owned every square inch of the place, a grin on his face that showed off one of those sharpened canines of his, "Ah, I can't wait. I've been dreaming about this since the first time you mentioned it to me...Well... I guess it wasn't that long ago. But I've been dreaming about it since then nonetheless. I've got funds, so money isn't really an issue. The issue is whether everything I want will fit into the vehicle." He did have several schematics drawn up, ideas that he had dreamed up. Oh he hoped that some of those ideas could bear fruit.
The walk to Vanille's home wasn't really a long one. He lived in an apartment that was set up just above a corner bar. "Well, it's not much, but it's home." He smiled as he motioned up to the stairs on the side of the building that led up to the entry. He also motioned to the business under the apartment, "And that there is my watering hole. Again, not much to look at, at least in terms of size. But, don't let the outside deceive you. The inside is much nicer. I'm still working on making the outside match the inside in terms of appearance."
Not that the outside was ugly, the building had curb appeal. The bar had an antique looking revolving door, an awning, and scrolled metal work wrapped around the columns that held up the semi-domed awning. Nothing spectacular but at the same time it was not hideous.
"You consider adding some windows there? Let some more light in plus let customers peek inside." Fenrir motioned to the two blank walls.
"I considered it, I'm just also considering the shape of the windows. I want something that stands out. Big square holes on the side of the wall wouldn't be as attractive, I think. Well, come on up." He led them up the stairs and as soon as he reached the landing, he unlocked the door and allowed them inside of his abode.
"Ladies first," Fenrir allowed Juniper to walk ahead and followed behind her all the way into the apartment.
Wood floors and a very Westernlands inspired decor theme; the oriental screens and moon gate thresholds between the rooms showed off Vanille's upbringing, or at least his heritage being influenced by his mother's heritage. But there were also influences from other areas, including a bit of Central Lands modern architectural touches in terms of furniture pieces that somewhat stood out among the more traditional Westernland pieces.
"I'll go get the tea started. You may look around; the sitting room is over here," He was rather gracious, but a bit awkward, perhaps he wasn't used to having guests actively in his home rather than down in the bar where he tended to provide them with his services. He politely motioned to the sitting room with its various comfortable looking chairs and sofa, a table, some tall plants, there was a bookshelf that was crammed with so many books that even Fenrir was amazed the thing didn't buckle under the weight. With that, Van slipped into the kitchen, which they both could see even from the entrance and got to work on making that tea for them. He moved fluidly, now in his natural habitat, Vanille prospered.
