Southern Demonlands were a dangerous region, teeming with beasts, bandits and worse. The rocky terrain offered countless ambush spots for wily hunters. One such person was especially notorious among the locals. Known only as The Lone Wolf, a wolfman bandit had terrorized travelers for months now. He took everything. Money, food, even lives... Even now he was holed up in a cave that acted as his hideout, counting the spoils of his latest robbery. The dancing flame of a bonfire revealed a rugged beast, easily towering over most men. His lean muscles and dark cloak told a grim tale of power and stealth, a lethal combination. At his feet were open sacs overflowing with wallets, jewelry and other easily traded valuables. Yet something bothered him. His nose twitched. A new scent... Who...?
“Hi doggy!”
The loud greeting made the wolfman jump. Acting on pure reflex, he grabbed his trusty knife and turned to face the intruder. His hardened stare turned quizzical when he found a young girl staring back. With her light, airy outfit, she resembled a genie that had popped out of a storybook. She could have passed for a human, if it weren’t for the pink skin and the pale horns. The black sclera with golden pupils didn’t do any favors either. “A demon...” The deep growl made the very air tremble. “Zam is a Majin, is what Zam is!” The girl corrected him cheerily.
Briefly the bandit’s eyes visited the girl’s garments. Those accessories... Solid gold. His greed got the best of him and he slowly stalked closer. “Look, kid... This ain’t anything personal... You just saw too much...” Without further warning, or a shred of hesitation, he plunged the blade into the girl’s torso. Right through the heart. This was a bandit’s mercy. A swift, painless death. So imagine his horror when the pink girl looked up at him...
And smiled.
Moments later, panicked shouting started echoing across the wastelands. “HELP! SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! OH KAMI HELP ME!” The ragged wolfman rushed out of his hideout, leaving a cloud of dust in his wake. His speed and grace were nothing short of impressive as he traversed the difficult terrain. He clutched his broken arm. Desperation shined clearly in his eyes. His narrow escape was accompanied by jubilant yelling. “Come back, doggy~! Lemme fluff you~!” The pink menace burst out of the cave like a rubbery rocket. She was far less graceful in her chase, crashing into the surrounding boulders with reckless abandon.
Due to the difference in skill, the small Majin soon lost sight of her new friend. She landed onto a tall, pointed rock and peered around. Her antennae wiggled curiously, trying to pick up his tingle. The golden gaze glowed ominously like a pair of hot embers. Her voice trailed in the wind, taking a haunting echo from the canyon walls. “Come out, come out, wherever you are~!” It sent shivers down the hiding bandit’s spine. He was hiding behind a nearby boulder, gasping for air. Thankfully he was an expert at hiding his presence... Now he just needed to sneak away before the girl, or someone else, noticed him.

goken was in the area looking for rare stones for his cousin who worked at capsule corp. when he was walking around he was turning over rocks and looking at some of them really hard then he heard someone start screaming for help. he it down the rock and started running to the direction where he heard someone yelling for help. when he was running he saw the rare stone his cousin was looking for but he couldn't slow down when there was someone in need so he kept running. truth be told goken was kind of part of the capsule corp briefs family but the smarts didnt rub off on him alot he inherited alot of the stuff from his dads side of the family who was supposed to have been a long line of great warriors, he was getting sidetracked though but soon he finally arrived and saw a pink girl standing on a rock so he waved. "Hey are you the person who was asking for help? my name is goken!"

Zam’s search was paused for the moment when her wiggling horns picked up another tiny tingle. Her golden gaze curiously shifted towards the voice. She cocked her head at the introduction. “Go-ken...?” After a brief pause, about the length of time it took to say dot dot dot, she burst out laughing. “Nyehehehehee~! That’s a weird name!” Her voice chimed cheerily, without a hint of malice. ...Or any sort of social filter. “I’m Zam! Nice to meetcha!” She hopped down from her perch and marched up to the stranger. If Goken was paying attention, he might notice that her energy was beyond strange. It... wobbled? Constantly shifting like a never-ending lie. Monstrously massive or teeny tiny? It was impossible to tell... Stopping before the man, the small girl plopped her hands on her hips and puffed her chest. “And I didn’t ask for help, nope. That was Mister Doggy.” She peered around, still unable to spot her new friend. “We were playing tag, but I guess now he wants to play hide-n-seek.” Meanwhile, the poor bandit was hiding closer than they thought. He was right next to them, crouching behind a boulder, holding his breath and silently offering litanies of prayers to whichever deities were listening. If he could just escape, he would never steal again! ...For, like, a week. Five days at least. Suddenly the cheery child chimed an idea that traced chills down the hiding criminal’s spine. “Oooh, I know! You can help me find Mister Doggy, so we can play together!” Good plan, great plan~! Two people were better at looking than just one, even Zam knew that. Her sporadic attention was soon drawn towards ground. Something red stained the dirt by her feet. “Ketchup...?” Without stopping to think, she wiped her finger against the red stuff and licked it. Her expression soured immediately. “Bleh, not ketchup...” Tasted icky. And there was more of it, a steady line leading to the other side of the nearest boulder... goken got a bit angry that she started laughing at his name but she seemed nice. he watched and listen to majin zam when she said she didnt ask for help. "mister doggy?" when she explained more goken sigh since nothing bad was happening. "Sure I wanna play hide and seek" he said, forgetting about his job to come here and collect special rocks in the first place. he was walking around looking for mister doggy, flipping over boulders and lifting trees off their roots and throwing them around to look for him until Zam was talking about ketchup. "that might be jam or strawberry pudding or ice cream! Or maybe it's blood." he said, a weird thought came in his head. did zam kill mister doggy and was looking for him to hide the body? not a normal person would scream like that if theyre playing a game he followed the trail to the boulder and would turn it over to see what the source was

When Goken suggested the red stuff might be jam, Zam... tasted it again... Aaaand her expression soured even further. “Bleeehhh, totally not jam!” She aimed a pouty glare at the man. “You tricked me!” A frustrated whistle of hot steam erupted from her head, rustling her hair. Luckily, her bout of anger was short lived as the man mentioned another strange word. “Blood...? What’s that?” Well, Majin physiology worked a little differently than the physiology of most mortals. And a little meant a lot. ...Aaaand a lot meant in mysterious ways. The point was that she had heard her friends talk about blood a lot. Blood feud and stuff. But none of them had told her what it actually was! On the other side of the boulder, Goken would find... trouble. The wide-eyed bandit cursed his luck when the big lunk turned the boulder aside. One of his arms was a bloody mess, mangled almost beyond recognition. However, in his still working hand he clutched a sharp blade. Without wasting a moment, he pointed it at the stranger’s throat. “Not... a... word...” He made the hushed growl as threatening as he could. Using the stranger’s bulky body to hide himself, he cast a sharp glance towards the blissfully ignorant Majin behind him. “If that thing finds me, we are both dead. You understand?” If he was going to die here, he sure as hell wasn’t going down alone. Meanwhile, Zam managed to completely miss Mr. Doggy’s reveal. She was busy hopping from rock to rock, trying to peer around for any signs of her furry friend. “Hm hm... All these rocks are making it hard to find Mr. Doggy...” She pondered idly, scratching her chin. Suddenly she was struck by... one of those things! Like... A headache with pictures! The rocks wouldn’t get in the way... If she blew them all up! Good plan, great plan~! With that, the little girl started charging power. Crackling energy coated her hands as monstrous amounts of ki gathered into unstable orbs in her palms. The other unfortunate souls present only had seconds to take cover. Or to change her mind. Goken turned around after zam tasted the blood again. "it's not my fault i was just saying!" and then goken was surprised when she asked him was blood was. "you don't know what blood is? its inside of everyone and uhhh.. i'd have to ask a friend about what else it does." goken slowly lift the boulder then found the dog guy who started threat him to not say anything. "you take hide and seek very seriously you know that? you should put that down before you hurt somebody!" goken whispered to mr doggy. goken turned around to zam only to see her about to explode the whole area! he ran up to zam and tried to shake her. "dont worry i found mister doggy over there!" he pointed over to the rock that he put infront of mr doggy. "if we lift it again he'll be right there and we win!"

The Lone Wolf, the most fearsome bandit on this side of Central City, was not amused. He stared back with equal parts irritation and bafflement. “That... That’s the point, you dolt. And that someone is gonna be you if you don’t-” His threat was cut short as the aforementioned dolt dashed off. He quickly drew the conclusion that these strangers were both insane. With that in mind, he had no intention of simply sitting still. Dust puffed as the criminal fled in the exact opposite direction, vanishing further into the wilderness. At this rate, he would be long gone before those two noticed. At least he should hope so... Touching the excited girl was like getting a little close to a live wire. The air buzzed and crackled with unstable static. Upon being shaken, the pink creature wobbled like she was made of rubber. A couple of sparks fell from her body, sizzling against the ground. She glanced at the man, those golden orbs shining with peculiar madness. However, his words were met with a puzzled blink. “Huh? Really?” Her gaze darted towards the boulder like a homing laser. Without wasting a moment, she wiggled free and rushed over to the stone. Defying all laws of physics, she hoisted it into the air effortlessly and... Nothing. There was no one there anymore. Silent disappointment lingered in the air, until the boulder fell with a hefty thud. Zam’s shoulders sagged and fingers curled into trembling fists. Her cheeks puffed with a childish pout. She directed a teary-eyed glare at Goken. “Hrmmm...” Hot steam erupted from the holes lining her arms, chest and head with a shrill whistle. Like a teapot threatening to boil over. Suddenly she aimed an accusing point at the man. “You tricked me again! You big meanie!” Her frustrated shouting was underlined by a stomp that cracked the ground beneath her. She didn’t like liars. Not. One. Bit.Words: 320 | 1332 Natural PL at start: 42,765 Tags: Goken [open]

Goken shaked around after he touched her and almost fell down from the electricity. remind me to never do that agin he said to himself. when she looked at the boulder and started running towards it he was relived and waited for her to say she caught mr doggy when the boulder fell he got the biggest fear he might ever got in his life. "what? no no i didnt' trick you!" this was crazy. goken ran up to the boulder and when he lifted it he gulped and dropped it back down. "is mr doggy magic? maybe he's invisible, if we blow a lot of stuff up we'll hit him and then we win, but he was here when i found him i swear!" goken said sincerly. "watch out though because he has a knife so he might trip and hurt himself!" goken got into positiion for his fan made kamehameha and began charging it, aiming it at the biggest rock there. "kame.." the ball of energy appeared in his hands and he curled his fingers. "hame..." the ball got biggger and bigger and the sound was starting to get loud. "haaaaaaaaaaaa!" he fired the kamehameha at the biggest boulder hopefully catching mr doggy behind it

Trust was a lot like glass. Beautiful, transparent and awfully fragile... Once broken, it was difficult, sometimes impossible to repair. The shards were too small and sharp. So it wasn’t exactly strange that Zam stared back at the panicking man with overflowing skepticism. She didn’t need to know what the word meant to feel it in her soul. Folding her arms grumpily, she presented a very mature and carefully crafted counter-argument to his excuses. “Liar, liar, pants on fire...” It was sealed by a mocking tongue. “Nyeeeeeh!” In her mind, the actual explanation was much simpler. He was helping Mister Doggy win by distracting her! Meanwhile, the oft-mentioned bandit had stopped to catch his breath a little ways from the danger zone. Running around while wounded was taking its toll. Maybe this was far enough... And he could continue by sneaking... However, when he peeked from hiding, a strange twinkle of light caught his attention. Being savvy of the world, he immediately recognized the tell-tale signs of a ki attack being charged. Except it wasn’t the pink creature this time, but the big dolt accompanying her. Right. Just as he had surmised, they were both crazy. Abandoning the sneaking plan, he took a deep breath, clutching his mangled arm and ran for dear life. Within moments, he was gone for good... Back at the danger zone, Zam watched as Goken charged up his attack. The beam blasted into the boulder, blowing it up brilliantly. Slowly the dancing dust settled, revealing... No one there either. The little Majin’s brow furrowed and pout deepened. “I don’t see him... And I can’t feel his tingle either... You lied again.” Her horns wiggled, trying and failing to pick up what eyes couldn’t see. She had been planning to blow up all the things... But now she didn’t want to! Because if the big meanie suggested it, then it was obviously another trick! She wouldn’t be tricked again, nuh.
