Warm evening sun cast golden rays over West City. Occasional whispers of wind kept the heat bearable. The shadows were slowly growing longer in anticipation of night. Along the quiet streets of the housing district strolled an unusually colorful group. Leading the way were three hulking figures, several heads taller than your average Earthling. On the left walked a red ogre, thick and bulky like a heavy-weight wrestler. Similarly, on the right walked a blue ogre, thin and lean like a long distance runner. They were led by a black ogre, a walking mountain of raw, bulging muscle with long horns jutting through long, flowing white hair. All three wore the latest fashion of the Southern Demon lands, tasteful animal pelts decorated with hemp rope. And then there was the odd one out... The fourth figure was a small girl with skin as pink as bubblegum. Golden eyes with black sclerae scanned the surroundings curiously. Pale horns peeked through messy, pink hair. She seemed even tinier while trailing after the With her foreign outfit, she resembled a genie that had popped out of a lamp. She carried a gift bag from West City Zoo full of books topped by a stuffed camel. Humming a cheery tune, she was completely oblivious to the whispers being exchanged in front of her... While the black leader marched onwards with relentless determination, his red and blue companions took turns casting nervous glances over their shoulders. “I’m not sure about this...” Red started with a voice deep like a rolling barrel. “Yeah, what if she goes on a rampage...?” Blue agreed with a sly voice that lingered like a passing breeze. “I mean, I get that she would make the job a lot easier...” Sharing a clear sense of familiarity, they supported each other’s words. “...But if something goes wrong, none of us can stop her.” Both were silenced by a throaty growl. “Shut it. Someone might hear you.” Black glanced around suspiciously. Funny... He could’ve sworn he just felt something off. Well, no matter. Shooing the two lackeys aside, the leader stopped and turned the small Majin. His lips curled into what was supposedly a friendly smile... Just full of teeth like daggers. “Soooo, Zam... You uh... have gotten stronger, huh?” Chitchat clearly wasn’t his forte and that gentle tone was a poor fit for his voice. Luckily, the cheery child didn’t notice nor mind. “Yus, I have! Super strong!” She underlined the claim by proudly flexing her bicep. Somehow, the squishy, rubbery arm bulged into solid muscle. Likewise, the unseen powers hiding deep within her body spiked tremendously. Trying to get a grasp of the strange ki was like listening to a nonsensical, never-ending lie. Was it tiny? Enormous? Both at the same time? ...Was that even possible? While Red and Blue shifted uncomfortably, Black only smiled wider. “Very cool, very nice. Well, want to show us how strong you are now?” The suggestion was met with excited nodding. “Oooh, yeah, I wanna!” The wide smile sharpened and the gentle tone darkened. “Good...” Squatting down, he moved next to the girl and grasped her by the shoulder. His bulky finger pointed off to the distance. “Okay, Zam, you see that big building over there? The one that looks like a green box?” She peered over, noticing a green apartment complex that had seen better days. Many of the windows were either broken or boarded up, while the paint flaked severely. “Yup yup!” Her nod received an encouraging pat on the back. “Make it go BOOM.”Words: 592 | 592 Natural PL at start: 42,765 Tags: Baccer Gris [open]

Baccer didn't exactly know what "going into labour" meant, but it seemed like it was good by Clove's reaction. And he was glad good things were happening to Juniper "Oh, ok. Safe travels Miss Clove. I'll take care of things here." he said, trying to sound confident so she wouldn't be worried. But no sooner had he turned around when he realised that something was off. There was a distinct lack of pink in the crowd... Hmm... It didn't take him long to realise what was wrong. Zam was gone, nowhere to be seen. He couldn't even sense her power level. Why would she lower it like that?. And as soon as clove left too... He wouldn't hear the end of it if he couldn't find her. But this was all quite convenient, Zam dissapeared right as Clove left... maybe this was not some sort of accident... But there was no time to get suspicious now. He had to find his majin companion, and fast. Using his newfound flight ability, he took to the skies to get a bird's eye view of the surrounding area. Given Zam was bright pink, it wouldn't be that hard to find her. The real problem came if she desiced to run as far as possible. Their speeds were comparable, and if she wished to she could escape his field of view in half the timeit took for him to start looking Luckily for him, it seemed that wasn't the case. He breathed a sigh of relief as he spotted Zam walking a little ways away from the zoo, being led by a group of demons... wait... demons? why would Zam run around with a random batch of demons?. Come to think of it, she did say she used to run with a bunch of raiders... were they demon raiders?. Ohh, this could not end good. The bigboy decided he should tail the four, making sure they weren't gonna do anything too stupid. He flew between some buildings not too far from the group, keeping a close eye on them while trying not to be seen. Of course, his enhanced senses allowed him to spy on their conversation, listening intently. His eyes widened once they asked Zam to blow up a random building. She... wouldn't listen to them, right?... They were just a random group of demons. If she did he'd have to stop them. He'd have to fight Zam... for real WC: 407 Natural PL at thread start: 48984 Majin Zam Gris

khaki was walking down the streets of west city on his way to capsule corp after a secret mission in the northern lands. he thought about what he wanted to eat while looking around and he picked at his fingernail as he walked, thinking about what he would do when he got home. maybe he could make a new Saiyaman suit or ride his bike around the building again. while he was walking one thing catched his attention, a gang of demons! he walked away and then turned the corner to watch them incase they were gonna hurt someone. after a bit he saw that nothing was wrong so far since he couldnt overhear their conversation so he started walking away back to capsule corp, though keeping his guard up. he prepared to power up incase anything bad was gonna happen. he looked at the capsule he had then back at the group

The big megalopolis. Griselda had heard many things about the big city here, but never really strayed from home to even set foot near it. It was loud, confusing, and chaotic for her. The sword however was less stifled by the large buildings and many vehicles however. Usumidori specifically brought her here because of the vastness. Convincing himself that maybe another demon sword was somewhere among the large populous. Unlike walking around some towns though, a small girl on her own trying to move about seemed a little less subtle. "Are you... sure you're going to be okay getting there?" A man in a business suit had stopped in front of the pair and was one of the few to take direct action in addressing the strange novelty of a girl with a sword just strolling around. Had he'd known this 'going to a restaurant' thing was but a ruse he'd get more suspicious. The eighth-demon girl just smiled and shook her head. It only took some pushing from Usumidori in her mind to make her keep a straight act. "Yes, I'm very sure, sir! Sorry for keeping you, you must be... busy and all!"That left him a little boggled. Standing there in thought as Gris went on past him at a brisk pace. She's had to talk to a few of these people before. All so pleasant, yet equally condescending to the naivety they perceived in her. I mean, they weren't wrong, but it didn't make her feel good. Maybe Usumi was rubbing off on her. "Slow down. I feel something..."Speaking of, the sword spoke to her via their bond. Causing her to tense up and stop completely. Not what he wanted. He'd groan loudly try being a little more assertive. "Slow. down. Don't stop. I can feel... someone. Some people, actually. Girl, take me to them."But why? She blinked and looked around... not really knowing where the demon sword was referring to. Quick to tug on the girl's hip to move her specifically a certain direction. It'd look like she was ragdolling back towards a more open suburb. This did not go without protest though, and a few weird looks. By the time she managed to find her own way she was already bemoaning the sword's tugging. "Hey, stop, just tell me which way!-""Silence. Do you see them?"Undoubtedly. The large ogres and pink girl were unmistakable against any building. It was then time for Griselda to appear like she wasn't just looking at them blankly from a distance. Retreating around another smaller set of buildings to save face. She wasn't at all graceful or sneaky, but she was frightened. This caused the blade to get irate and loud. Verbally shouting at her from the side of her hip. "Hey!? What are you doing!? I didn't say retreat, fool, get back out there!" No way. Father was the one that usually dealt with big, bulky demons like that. Grissy was more than content with just huddling around the bend here and taking the ire of Usumidori. Literally quaking, and wondering why on earth they'd be sizing up a building like that. Griselda is currently a wee bab and only feels like 3 PL (Suppressed) until stated otherwise.Thread PL: 975 WC: 547 Majin Zam Baccer Khaki

Zam didn’t need to be told twice. Her lips curled into a mischievous, cat-like smile. “Okay~!” Sparks of unstable energy crackled in the air. She leveled her hand at the derelict building and bolts of ki coiled violently around her arm. It condensed into a glowing bubble about the size of a baseball. Without further warning, she fired. The orb howled along the empty street like a shot from a cannon. Trying to stop it would have been unhealthy at best and suicidal at worst. Upon hitting the building -or anything else for that matter- it detonated into a massive, glittering blast of pink. In a blink of an eye, the building was replaced by a smoldering crater. The shockwave shook the street and rattled the windows. Admiring the dancing dust and the lingering smoke, the dark leader of the ogres let out a pleased chuckle. “Heh heh heh... See that, boys? It’s raining money.” His red companion aimed a skeptical look at the sky, shielding his eyes from falling bits of concrete. “Looks like rubble to me...” The comment was to the leader's ego as a needle was to a balloon. “I was speaking metaphorically.” His heavy sigh met no sympathy, however. “Well, speak English so that the rest of us can understand.” The blue ogre nodded in agreement with his friend. Meanwhile, Zam turned to her friends with a big smile. “Nyeh hee, how’s that~?” She was rewarded by a massive hand ruffling her hair. “Very good, Zam. A really nice boom. You have earned candy for that.” The tiny glutton’s eyes turned into twinkling stars. “Oooh, candy?!” Praise and treats! Best day ever! “Of course! Blue will go get you some candy.” Now the blue fellow, who had been nodding along, snapped back to reality. He didn’t take too kindly to being demoted to a delivery boy. “Wha-me? Why should I-?” A huge finger moved to his lips, muffling the protest. Black shot back a glare that could’ve killed a man. “I wasn’t asking.”Knowing better than to argue, Blue took off. His quick steps hastened into an unnaturally swift sprint. Resembling a gust of wind, he rushed through the street, turned the corner... Aaaaand almost ran straight into a spiky-haired stranger. Arms flailing, he managed to avoid the boy, only to crash right into the nearest street lamp. Rubbing his large, aching nose, he glared daggers at the young fellow. “Tch, watch where you’re going, shorty. And quit hogging the whole street.” He didn’t have the time to stick around and argue though. It was well-known among demons what happened when the pink menace didn’t get her candy in a timely manner... While Blue was on his candy run, Black turned to Red. There was something that had been bugging him for a while now and he needed confirmation. “Alright, I need you to check our surroundings, make sure no one is snooping.” He pointed towards a nearby street corner. “Think you can handle that?” Red gave back a sour stare. “What, you think I’m too dumb or something?” The leader placed a hand on his shoulder and offered his most genial smile. “Let me put it this way... You make Zam look smart.” Without missing a beat, the lackey smiled back. “Hey, thanks.” Boss sure knew how to cheer up his buddies. The red musclehead squatted and suddenly leapt onto a nearby rooftop. It was effortless, like he had just hopped out of bed. His eyes scanned the streets below. Trashcan, lamp, lamp, girl with a shouting sword, mailbox... His train of thought stopped. “...Waitaminute.” With another mighty leap, the red ogre landed right in front of the hiding girl. The pavement cracked beneath his weight. “Hey, you, little girl!” He aimed a sharp point at her. “Have you seen anyone suspicious snooping around here?” ...Well, obviously two people were better at searching than one. It was just common sense, you know. Words: 657 | 1249 Natural PL at start: 42,765 Tags: Baccer Khaki Gris

unfortunately for... mostly him, it seemed Baccer hadn't read the safety instructions. Once Zam happily agreed to help them, his eyes widened in shock. So easily?. what about the people working in that bank?. Had the time and lessons Clove tried to teach them meant nothing to Zam?. In a flash of movement, Baccer tried to intercept the orb. Unfortunately, he was flying in at a moment's notice, while Zam had all the time in the world to concentrate and launch the ball. He couldn't even withstand, let alone deflect it. All he managed to do was get in the way on the ball, which promptly erased his upper body, causing his legs to fly in a nearby alley as the bank was destroyed. Only a very keen observer would be able to notice him swooping in and his catastrophic failure. Luckily, having your torso blown clean off was not too detrimental for a bio-android, but it would definitely put him out of commision for a little bit, unable to salvage the situation his legs and lower torso staggered upwards as his nucleus hurried to make a new upper body for him. At that point, he sensed that he, Zam and the demons were not the only ones around here. There were two more ki signatures. They were vastly smaller than his or Zam's, but they were ki signatures nonetheless. Had martial artists arrived in hopes of stopping Zam?. images of the first time they met flashed on his mind, a village in flames with a pink monster ravaging it, thinking it was all a game. At that point he managed to stop her, play the hero that would eradicate this evil from the world... evil... was Zam... evil?. Baccer's abdomen and chest began to reform as he thought about the times they and their master spent together. No, she's not evil... but she's too naive, anyone could tell her to destroy a city in the promise of candy. She'd kill anyone, as they are just playithings to her. Anyone... even him?. No, they were friends, right?. but as much as he tried to deny it, the searing pain in his lower torso reminded him that despite that, Zam was capable of so much destruction. Perhaps he was too, held back by the vein desire to be liked. Deep down, they were both immature teens with too much power on their hands. It just so happened his desires made him more easily controlled. As his head regenerated fully, Baccer realised his whole body was tense, his fists clenched to the point where green blood was dripping from them. He had to stop her. He had to... The Bugboy could not take another step, he collapsed to the side of the alley, his back against the wall. Why?. His sensors detected no bodily damage, why did he feel so sluggish?. Was this... sadness?. Another new emotion, this one was worse than guilt. He felt so helpless. He just wanted clove to come back. He wanted to go to majin moo's. But most of all, he wanted Zam to stop... killing... PEOPLE!. [WC: 520/927] PL at thread start: 48.984 Tags: Gris Majin Zam Khaki

Khaki didnt expect this to happen. When he saw the bug guy jumping into the air he was confused but he lunged forward only to see them get exploded by the energy blast. “This isnt good, its time for me to suit up. he went back into the alley and threw a capsule that released the great saiyaman outfit. He put it on and threw another capsule, stretching his hand out when it twirled mid air and his katchin sword dropped into his hand. “I already feel the power coming from this.” He remembered when he had to defeat the demon namekian swordsman that almost sliced his head off with this sharp sword. He focused his energy and did the power up technique before dashing out of the alley infront of the main group of demons he stared at The big one and made his entrance. “Dont worry people of west city the great saiyaman is here!” The people began cheering while he posed and ordered for them to start evacuating. “Dont you guys know you cant shoot energy blasts all around the city, thats evil!”

Good lord, what was that? For a moment, there was a building just across the road and the next BOOM. Seems the pink girl was in some way really strong. And unstable. The ruckus was enough to shut the sword's berating up for a moment as both it and the girl watched, stunned.
"S-see? We should just get out of here, these people are several levels scary!" The sword was still a little miffed and groaned at the idea that the girl would remain so cowardly in the face of a couple of demons just wrecking shop. If it weren't for the doofus red ogre who decided to hop on over the demon might have started mouthing off again. The girl in green stopped in her tracks and yelped as the large man broke the pavement in front of her and pointed at her.
"Ehh? Anyone suspicious? I mean...-" It occurred to her then that the big guy wasn't smart. Quick to think about it, Griselda peeled her eyes away from the intimidating bulk of Red and looked out way towards the streets. It might not be a bad idea to play along and distract him. At least so she could make a break for it. And so, she pointed down the street. and made sure the ogre saw her direction.
"I... think I saw a shakey guy with a badge on him. Maybe a... cop? I wouldn't want to be busted for this I were in your shoes..." Clear, concise, and with a bit of a lead for the Red idiot to chew before she was possibly left alone. Trying to slip past him and around the crime scene to see if anyone, anything in that crater was worth saving. To pass by just long enough to see if she could help anything. Hopefully, the pink of black demons do not take some interest in her...
"But why... just for money?" Griselda murmured to herself. Usumidori hmm'd to himself in some contemplation before eyeing every and all things around him. Remembering just where they were, the arrogant sword would be delighted to share what he thought of it.
"Disgusting that demonic lowlifes would see themselves working petty jobs for money. That's what I assume of it all. The pink one, out of them all, is the strange one, however. I cannot put my blade to it." Griselda put more pep in her step to just walk away from this after a short investigation.
"'Blade to it', sir?"
"Well, I don't have a finger to put on it, so it was the next best thing that made sense."

When the totally not suspicious girl pointed down the street, the bulky ogre followed her finger closely. Her advice made his eyes widen. Without wasting a moment, he sprinted past her, arms flailing wildly. “Wait up, Mister Police Man! That area is not safe!” The young detective was left alone, free to snoop the crater. Sadly, she wouldn’t find much of anything worth salvaging. The remnants crackled with lingering, chaotic energy. It was hard to believe there had even been a building there moments prior. Now there was just some dust, rubble, dust, molten pieces of metal, plenty of more dust... But curiously no blood or bones. Either all of it had just happened to get vaporized without a trace... Ooooor... Meanwhile, a dramatic character entered the scene! The little Majin let out a shocked gasp. Her eyes were twinkling again. This was... a hero! Just like in cartoons! “Ooooh!” The big, black ogre, however, didn’t seem quite as impressed. His nostrils flared with a haughty huff. “Evil? Hah, I have no idea what you are talking about.” He puffed his bare chest, holding his head high against the accusations. “In fact, if I were a weak, thin-skinned Earthling, I might’ve been offended by your silly prejudice.” He reached into what constituted as a pocket in his loincloth attire. “But I am a proud ogre... And I have a secret weapon... Behold!” With a swift motion, he whipped out... a piece of paper. “A permit!”If the hero dared to come closer, he would see that it was indeed a permit of sorts. A work permit to be exact. The D-Day Demolitions Inc. is hereby granted permission to demolish the following buildings... The rest of the document was legal jargon so dry that it made a desert feel positively humid by comparison. It even had the official stamp of the city council. The dark demon smiled smugly. “As you can see, blowing up buildings is my job.” In response, the pink Majin tugged his cloth. “But I’m the one who blew it up...” The smug smile wavered. “Nnnnot now Zam...” She was hastily shooed aside, much to her frustration. “Hrm...” She folded her arms with a pout. Just then, the blue speed demon returned. ...Aaaaand almost slammed into the posing hero. Again. He only barely managed to stay upright while clutching a whole set of Satan Mart bags. “What the-? Oh, come on! You again?!” Disbelief quickly flared into anger. “Right, that’s it, I’m gonna teach you what happens to trespassers!” Black’s devilish smile sharpened and grim intentions gleamed in his gaze. “A wonderful idea, Blue. Why don’t you, heh, escort Mister Grand Soyabean outside of the blast radius?” Right on cue, the blue demon dropped the shopping bags and started marching towards the hero. If the boy had been looking for trouble, he was about to get some. Meanwhile, Zam’s sharp nose twitched. She had caught a familiar scent. Curiously she wandered over to the dropped bags. Rummaging quickly produced treasures better than any shinies. “Chocolate~! Yaaaaay!” Without missing a beat, she chomped down on a big chocolate bar. The leader of the ogres blinked at the display before caaaarefully tapping her shoulder. “Uh... Zam... Try... Try removing the wrapper first...” The girl followed the advice and took another bite. “Oooh, it tastes even better like this!” It was taking all the willpower the huge ogre had not to say anything... regrettable. “Erm, yes, I figured it might.” While his words left it there, his pained expression told the whole story. Something along the lines of: I’m up to my abs in morons...Words: 604 | 1853 Natural PL at start: 42,765 Tags: Baccer Khaki Gris

Baccer slowly calmed down, seeming to get a level head after his little mental breakdown. If he was to salvage the situation, he had to think fast and keep a level head. Closing hus eyes, he tried to sense stray energy signatures in the area. the two smaller ones were stil around. that at least was reassuring, it meant nobody had died... yet. he peeked from around the alleyway and looked at the scene. the ruined building, the strange man talking to the demons, and the far off ki prescence checking the debris. It was a rather precarious situation. Shoukld he go to the building and try to reconvene with the person searchinng? Confront Zam head on?. try and somehow get in touch with clove?
The answer came as the demon pulled out his permit and waved it in front of the superhero-looking dude. he said they were legally doing this, that nothing nefarious was going on there... could it be true?. While Baccer was still concerned that Zam lef him without saying anything, a situation like that would be a masive relief. he had to figure out if this person was telling the truth
As the demon showed the permit, Baccer emerged out of the alley, ignoring everything and centering his attention to the piece of paper "A permit... may I... see it?" he asked, extending his hand with a menacing look on his face. He wasn't intending to fight, but he wouldn't let anyone get in his way. Besides, this was just a controlled demolition... nothing to worry about... Right?

Khaki was feeling pretty confident of himself as he gripped the sword in his hands. If he needed to he could slice those demons like a hot knife through butter. But suddenly something out of the blue happened. “A permit?” Khaki was confused because most of the villains he fought didnt try to make themselves look innocent... Were these guys innocent and he caused everybody to run away for nothing? If so it’d be a huge blow to his ego. Then another surprising thing happened, the guy who was killed right infront of him appeared and asked for the permit? This was hurting Khaki’s head. “Yeah, give the permit to him! If he finds out its fake then its curtains for you!” He stood prepared for anything and deep down, he was hoping that the permit would be false because deep down he knew if he caused an even bigger ruckus over something that didnt deserve it, he would look like a total idiot!

Well, both the sword and the girl were equally a bit prejudiced here. For vastly differing reasons, mind you. Though, frankly, the sword could care less if they were either destructive punks, or 'explosives experts'. As loose as a term this is now in this age. The girl was the one concerned if anyone was lost here, but it seems that there was nothing. No remnants of even people being here. Or around. Griselda would take a look at the places nearest to the blast site and actually find them mostly vacant. Maybe a small rat scurrying away from the scene frightened, but otherwise it too was unharmed. "Huh. That's weird."But it made sense once she overheard the main ogre's declaration of innocence. They were a demolition crew, and the girl just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Curiously, it seems they brought no equipment beyond the pink gum person that came with them. Odd one, that. Green eyes fell on the crater one last time before she backed up and approached the group. As much as the other ogres were already shooing away the 'tresspassers', she wanted to make sure of a few things. He can't be bad if he's got paperwork, yeah? "Hey! Sir! You said you had a permit, correct? I didn't get a glimpse of any construction signs or anything of the sort near this block..."Griselda did seem tad confused, and seeing as the man didn't so much as check to see if the radius was clear first before even attempting the demolition... There was reason to question the guy. Even if he was twice the size in just height alone. Ten times if we're talking body mass. It was clear she wasn't comfortable getting too close, both because it seemed two other individuals had their attention, and she was honestly afraid of the ogres. "Well maybe that's because I was trying to keep low... Y-you'll have to excuse me!"Griselda paid little mind to the funny little pink girl for the moment, more worried about the towering man. Despite him not even lifting a finger. Usumidori, however, seemed to hum to himself as the bubblegum majin acted like she were a child, even by mortal standards. There was almost a pang of sympathy towards the black ogre for having to work with such a being. At least his own Vessel was competent and educated for being a kid. WC: 410 Majin Zam Baccer Khaki

One after another, the trespassers just kept coming. The Black Ogre watched with a twitching eye and gritted teeth as a young... uh... he wanted to say giant grasshopper...? Asked to see the permit. His request had the backing of the other nosy interlopers. “People all day today...” With a surly mutter, he waved his blue henchman aside for the moment and donned a cordial smile full of sharp teeth. “Ahem, hello there, young man. You most certainly can.” He handed over the paper without any reservations, a sign of full trust that he would get it back intact. Or that he could take it back... The paper itself was nothing especially suspicious or glamorous. Difficult words had been stringed together to create a boring brick of text. If one was able to look past the dry legal jargon, they would find a list of buildings sanctioned for demolition: an apartment building, a former bank and an old drugstore. Other details included safety regulations. Perimeter dimensions, people allowed in the demolition zone, methods and materials... A lot of work and money went into tearing down a building. In fact, the number mentioned in the document reserved for safety equipment alone, like helmets, vests and barriers, was a hefty sum... All in all, the paper seemed perfectly real. It even held the city’s official stamp. If it was a forgery, then it was an amazing forgery for something so... mundane. Giving the boy ample time to study the difficult document, the leader swept his gaze over the other two trespassers. “Feel free to inspect it all you like. You’ll find everything is in order. Heh heh heh...” He waved the girl’s doubts aside. “Oh you must have missed them. We set up signs and barriers all over the place.” He lied effortlessly. His companion, however, quirked a brow. “We did? I don’t remember...” However, his incriminating commentary was cut short by a glare. “I mean Red and I did. When you were keeping an eye on Zam.” There was a tense pause. One could almost hear the mental gears turning. “Oh? Ohhhh. Yeah. That’s it.” He fell suspiciously silent and returned to staring at the hero. There was still unsettled beef and his hands were itching for action... Meanwhile, the dark creature’s confidence remained unwavering. He stood before the kids like an insurmountable mountain. Again that smug smile crept onto his lips. A sinister gleam shined in his eyes. See, he had nothing to worry about. So what if these tiny fools were suspicious? They couldn’t prove a thing. In fact, they couldn’t even fathom the true extent of his magnificent plan. None of them stood a chance against his superior intellect and mastery of red tape. Raiding and pillaging was a terribly outdated concept nowadays. A modern demon knew that treasure could be looted without shedding a drop of blood. Or sweat. You just needed someone to do all the dirty work... His gaze visited the tiny, blissfully ignorant child munching chocolate. His smile sharpened. Oh, he could almost go for an evil laugh right now. It was relaxing, you know. Words: 521 | 2374 Natural PL at start: 42,765 Tags: Baccer Khaki Gris

The next few moments felt agonizingly slow for Baccer. He might not have been informed at most legal procedures, but collateral damage had been deemed essential and coded directly into his nucleus. Thus, he was able to tell this paper was legitimate. He sighed, seeming to relax a bit, glad nobody had been hurt. However, he couldn't ignore the lack of warning signs or the lacklustre nature the demolition was carried out. Still, he was glad this was simply a matter of an irresponsibly handled demolition, rather than something more malicious "Very well. Nobody was hurt, so you're free to go. But you should demolish buildings properly next time" he said, handing the paper back to him
After that, he looked over at Zam, approaching her "hey Zam. Clove told us to stay together, why'd you go and follow these strangers?" he asked. It honestly perplexed him how she was that comfortable with walking away without notifying anyone. Well, at least this wouldn't devolve into a brawl, and the issue turned out to be rather trivial. But it was rather strange these demons sought out Zam specifically. Did they know her?. It was a real possibility, given how easily she ended up following them. In that case... were they the ones that taught her to raid and kill?. A fraction of the previous aura of malice returned as Baccer turned towards the demon leader "say... How exactly do you know Zam?" he asked. He was aware that someone else was with them right now, the girl could get caught in the crossfire if he attacked the demons. But he still wanted to know. In his mind, that was more important
