Adventures History Sanare was programed many years ago by a scientist named Baker. Dr. Baker created her to be the ultimate combat medic, able to bring people back from the dead. She was a prototype, but before the project was completed Dr. Baker abandoned the military, not wanting his creation to become the catalyst for destructive androids. He took Sanare, along with his research to a remote village hoping the military wouldn't find them.
Dr. Baker decided to finish Sanare, but he wanted her not to rely on her combat capabilities as her sole means of interactions. With some clever, albeit complex coding, he created Sanare with no knowledge that she was an android. He gave her memories of being a child, growing up in an orphanage, surrounded by pain and suffering. He had hoped this would foster in her a desire to tend to people and most importantly increase her empathy.
Sanare, having never meet Dr. Baker to her knowledge, lives in Central City looking for work.
A Day in the Life Sanare threw the blankets off of her. Her room far too hot for her liking. She tried to roll back over and get some sleep, but after a few minutes she realized it was pointless. She wasn't going back to sleep, not with how hot it was. She yawned and tried to stretch herself to full consciousness. She got up and dressed in her usual outfit. It was a gym jacket and pants, though it didn't really look like she was heading to the gym. She looked dressed between casual and gym wear. It was odd, and she was sure a variety of people looked contemptuous at her for it, but she was comfortable and happy which is all that mattered to her.
Her breakfast was unremarkable in essentially every way that mattered. She checked her computer, hoping to hear back from her recent application she had submitted for a position at a local doctors office. She was hoping to learn more about treating illnesses and helping people. She also needed to find some work if she was ever going to be eating a meaningful breakfast anytime soon. She sighed, for nothing new had developed.
Half an hour later she was outside near the park close to her small apartment. She started coming here some time ago after an eventful encounter with a martial arts master, Master Avis. Master Avis was the kindest old man Sanare had ever know, or even known about. They met by chance when she was walking through the park and one of Master Avis' students had kicked a board in half. This had the unintended effect of sending a fist size piece of wood flying towards Sanare. Without realizing it, she managed to dodge the attack without hardly any effort. Avis was quite impressed and offered to train her. She was hesitant at first but eventually relented to his request.
She sure was glad she did too! She spent the better part of the last two years coming to the park and being trained, and it had done wonders for her physical health. She felt almost as if she was getting younger and not older, as if age was an outdated thing of the past. She found herself enjoying the practice, despite her apprehension about fighting. She didn't much care for it before, and now that she was well trained in it, she actually liked it less. She knew full well she could destroy someone, but she would rather spend her energy on healing and helping. It was just part of who she was.
This was why Master Avis had begun teaching Sanare how to utilize her ki. She had some difficulty at first, more so than what Master Avis was used to experiencing with his other students. Yet, when she finally realized how to do it, she excelled at it, like it was a functional part of her innate abilities; akin to breathing even. Avis wasn't quite sure what to make of this, but he was excited at her turn around with his tutelage. He had remarked once that she seemingly had an ability to produce quite a lot of ki, since she didn't seem to be drained as much after utilizing her ki. He remarked how it was like she had a unlimited battery inside of her just turning out the energy, no matter how much she tapped into it. She laughed it off and was never quite sure about it; for after all she was drained by it.
She learned to use her ki in an extraordinarily variety of ways. It shocked her to learn how much she could damage someone with her energy. She was happy when master Avis showed her how to use her ki to restore herself and others. From that moment on, she began to focus her energy manipulation in that direction. She wasn't bad at it either. She found that using her energy to manipulate healing and the like seemed so natural to her. She excelled at it, and so while she was capable of using her energy to defend herself if required, she was mostly adapt at restoring life. This of course gave her more interest in the field of medicine, and is partly responsible for her application into the field.
With her morning practice out of the way, she headed for her favorite hobby shop, Tempo. She loved hanging out here and playing the board games with some of her friends, most of who were just as broke as she was. Her boyfriend, Travis worked there so she was able to see him and enjoy her favorite hobbies. She loved playing games of any kind; board games, card games, video games. She just enjoyed being around people who where having a good time, focusing on something. Plus she was quite good at most games, which definitely drew attention to herself.
Though with her slender form and tone physique, she was sure it wasn't just her skills that drew people's attention. She didn't really care about her looks, though she had to admit that was probably in part because she was attractive. People tend to not care about the things they actually have. She had long ago accepted that her looks would fade, and essentially wrote them off. She had other things to worry about that mattered more at any rate.
The rest of the day was spent mostly at Tempo. Travis showed up not long after her, about half an hour before he was suppose to clock in. He brought her lunch most days to which she had explained a perfect way to a girls heart was to feed her. She appreciated having him around to look after her. It wasn't one sided either; she wasn't his little woman to be taken care of! Travis had no life beyond this shop, except for her. She expanded his horizon, especially since she loved to go stargazing. She defiantly changed him up a bit and took care of his social needs, not by directly fulfilling them (though she no doubt played a huge role in that) but by forcing him out of his small bubble and encouraging him that it would be okay. Beyond that, their relationship just worked for them - they were happy. Well, maybe not happy per se, they were constantly broke, but they were content; joyful regardless of situations.
After the shop closed around eight o clock, the two of them spent the evening watching shows and eating. This wasn't a nightly routine for them; in truth they only spent about three nights a week with each other. One night was dedicated to being inside and just cuddling on bed (would have been a couch but who we kidding they couldn't afford a bed and a couch). One night was dedicated to being out and about. The other night was just devoted to whatever they felt like doing; they had made a point not to be ridged in out they spend time together.
They had been dating for about a year, and in her opinion were moving beyond the casual boyfriend and girlfriend statues and into a more serious relationship. She tried not to think about it too much. She had never been in a relationship, and wasn't sure what she was doing. She knew at some point they would have to talk about it, and she wouldn't shy from it. With any luck by than she would have figured out something.
It took her about four months of them being together before she was comfortable with him sleeping over, or vise verse. It was a new experience for her, and she didn't feel a need to rush into things. He felt similar and wasn't really wanting to rush anything in his life; he very much took things as they came. The two of them where alike in that regard.
On nights where she was alone, she usually didn't go to bed early, so she could get up early. She rather enjoyed her mornings, but was willing to sacrifice them for time with him. They turned in for the night. She was content with her life but something felt missing. Not missing, that wasn't quite the right word for it. She felt a calling of sorts but couldn't quite figure out what. It was as if something deep inside her longed for something. If she just knew what it is she could do something about it, but that was the rub, she couldn't put her finger on it. She was content, with the normal struggles of a young woman going about her life. Nothing out of the ordinary happened to her so she couldn't figure out this feeling. She rolled over and hoped this feeling would go away when her application was approved. Even if it wasn't approved, maybe that would give her some indication as to what this feeling was.
Until than, she would just do her best to keep going and hope tomorrow was a just as typical as today was.
