The inherent weakness within him was not something Shou was completely oblivious too. As he took a calm, relaxing stroll through West City, soaking in the abundant sunlight throughout the day, he thought to himself just how weak he truly was. It was a fact that when it came to intelligence, few actually matched his brains, but when it came to possessing power far beyond anyone's imagination? He was more than lacking in that facet, and without it, none of his goals for the complete domination of the world would ever be close to being complete. Perhaps fighting all these petty criminals made him complacent, causing him to think he was stronger than he actually was until he met the -real- powerhouses on the planet. Whatever the case was, all Shou knew he needed to change, or else his life was as useless and pathetic as all those meaningless bandits he cut down, and that thought alone was scary.
But, that begged the question...just how was he supposed to break through his limits and ascend to a level of power he never thought was possible? It was easier said than done, after all. Did he require some type of mentor, or some harrowing life or death experience to break free from his mental shackles and truly be the best that he could? On the bright side, there was at least a few people at World Government headquarters that he was comfortable talking too about this. After this patrol, he would without a doubt dig deep within the system to figure out what exactly did he need to increase his power tenfold. Then, people would respect the badge he wore. Then, people wouldn't try to flaunt their powers in front of him in some foolish attempt to intimidate him...because in the end, the only thing respected in this world was power. That was the sad reality of it all, but in his new world that he would forge with his own bare hands, he knew that such things wouldn't be so cut and dry.
As he continues his patrol through the city, adorned in the uniform of the government that he made sure to take special care of, his eyes scan through the crowd like a hawk searching for prey. It wasn't like he went on these patrols for his own health, after all. Unlike many of the phonies who put on this uniform and went out hoping they wouldn't get any trouble, Shou was neither that naive or stupid to want to believe in such a preposterous line of thinking. Every single time he went to make sure the streets of West City were free from any vermin wishing to inflict suffering on others, he hoped- no, prayed, that he would find someone to inflict his justice on. And whether a higher power truly did exist or not, 9 times out of 10 he was lucky enough to find exactly the type of trouble he was looking for. Of course, given what type of public setting they were in, he couldn't get away with his usual bout of murdering criminals ruthlessly. Instead, for the sake of protecting his image in the eyes of the public, he chose to dispatch of his criminals in the most non-lethal way possible.
For someone as bloodthirsty and battle hungry as Shou was, it was an annoying limitation, but one that only served to improve his skills with the blade. And, on the bright side, oddly enough it seemed that he was beginning to develop something of a reputation with the people of West City for his dedicated pursuit towards eliminating evil. It gave him slightly more faith in mortals that people actually recognized the hard work and effort he put towards keeping the City safer. It was starting to get to the point where even women, some astoundingly beautiful were walking up to him and offering them his phone number for 'business' related reasons. A small smile forms on his visage at the thought of that. As dedicated to improving himself and the lives of others as he was, Shou could equally be a hedonistic man when he was off duty. There wasn't anything wrong with engaging in his primal urges as long as it didn't interfere with his job, he reasoned.
As the hours rolled on, Shou assists various civilians in need of assistance, but doesn't quite find the blood pumping thrill he was looking for. Still, with twenty minutes left on his shift, Shou had his fingers crossed that he would at least be able to find -something- worthy of his presence. He needed to improve by continuously pushing himself in a fight against someone of a decent power, and while odds were he wouldn't find a common thug anywhere near that level, he could at least hope.

It was a rather... samey day in Rex's perception. West city still faced westward, the globe was still turning and ,massively powerful being walked this earth like nobody's business. Now, that was definitely information not anyone would know, he did happen to be a bit "special" himself. While ki practitioners like him were rare. His particular level of power was not exactly enviable. And he knew that. He wasn't a battle-lusting Saiyan or power-hungry human, he simply wished to continue his way of life, stealing from assholes and living to the fullest. Well, he would be lying if he said he didn't wish to be stronger in the slightest, but he seemed to have the uncanny ability to always escape no matter his opponent's strength, so why bother. As far as he was aware, pissing people off and spending his days in a nice company was enough
But it couldn't all be lounging around and having fun. He was still a bandit, which meant he'd eventually have to get off his ass and "earn" a living. This was one of those days. The lone, motorcycle-riding lizardman had tracked down a particularly shady-looking government official. Someone like that lurking on stray streets could only mean the "business" he was about to conduct wasn't something done in an office. And usually, business like that involved a healthy sum of money. Besides, stealing from the government always had a certain sense of satisfaction in it. Actively taunting the rulers of this world, one man against them all. And other romanticised bullshit like that.
As he approached the seemingly abandoned alleyway the man pulled over in, he docked his motorcycle safely between the man's car and the wall. That way, it not only served to block him from opening the doors but also served to make it seem like Rex had one less escape method than he actually had from an observer's view. And so, as the lizardman put on his mask, it was time for work
Lieutenant Reed had been handed a rather... unsavoury task from the higher-ups. Silence a particularly nasty gang by performing an underground trade. They were both trying to appease the criminals and bring them down, having secretly placed a tracking device in the money briefcase. But did it really have to be him?. And in such a place no less?. As the man approached the shadowy figure that appeared to be the criminal informant, he gulped. This man was huge, way bigger than the description. Getting closer and closer, it became clear that the guy standing in front of him was not the guy he was expecting "Who... Who are you?. Where is Mr Huges?" "Oh, you mean the guy waiting here?. He's in the dumpster. And if ya don't wanna join him, hand over the bag" the figure said with disarming confidence, extending a hand
To say the situation had become complicated was a bit of an understatement, this unknown man had just broken the entire deal and was demanding the money. It was a right mess the lieutenant had gotten himself into. Sadly, he was never the most courageous man, giving in once the large figure seemed to get impatient "here. But listen here, you thug. You don't know who you're dealing with. I am Lieu-" "Lieutenhand what's his face from whe government. Yeah, yeah. Ya think I rob people without knowing who's dog they are first?" he asked, slowly walking out of the alley and onto his bike. Man, it was always refreshing when jobs like this went off without a hitch. Unfortunately, it seemed luck wanted to have a bit of fun with rex today. As soon as he was out of sight, the panicked government official activated the tracking device on his briefcase, alerting all nearby officers to his presence

Just when he figured he oughta call it quits here, a wonderful stroke of fate reinvigorated his predatory gaze, a distress signal evident on his communicator. As apart of his duties as one of West City's many government officials, he was tasked to protect certain high value targets from harm- whether it be terrorists, demonic threats or otherwise. Even luckier, the signal was close by, so none of his fellow officers would even get the chance to interrupt his 'hunting' time. Not before he was through with them! Like a child chasing after a golden ticket to a candy factory, he charges forward to the source of the distress beacon, running on foot at full speed, weaving past crowds of civilian with complete and utter ease. "And here I thought I wouldn't get a chance to satisfy my bloodlust...I guess good things really do come to those who wait!"
Traveling faster at speeds any regular bullet could only hope to achieve, a voice his heard on the other side of his communicator. "H-Hello? This is Lieutenant Reed, speaking. If I'm correct, you're Shou, right?! I'm safe, but some thug completely ruined a deal meant to destroy one of West City's worst gangs entirely! You just gotta get that briefcase back, or I really think I'm gonna be out of a job this time....phew, luckily the boys back in the R&D department put that tracking device on the suitcase. Said something about me screwin' up...hm-" Shou couldn't tolerate hearing his scrawny, sniveling voice any longer, hanging up the call. It was well known back on base that Lieutenant Reed had to be one of the most incompetent government officials in existence, and it was no wonder they took so many precautions to make sure he didn't screw up a simple trade-off. Perhaps when Shou was in a more comfortable position, he would go ahead and delete that waste of space from the face of the planet. For now, however? He puts his focus squarely on tracking that briefcase down, though it didn't take too long.
Like the wind, he slides in front of the very same motorcycle his target was, the short, sleek black cape on his back billowing from the force he entered the scene with. Nothing but a confident, almost sadistic grin could be seen on the officer's visage, his cold, cerulean eyes honed in directly on Tokita. Unlike the despicable coward that Reed was, a mere difference in size wasn't enough to frighten Shou in the slightest. He'd cut down many a sorry excuse for a warrior thinking just because they were a few feet taller than Shou was, they would be able to dispatch of him. It wasn't much different this time. "I, Shou Taimu, officer and protector of West City, am here to inflict my brand of justice on you. Do not bother begging for mercy, and don't bother explaining yourself to me. Scum with power as low as yours are bringing the quality of life down for everyone else really, really make me sick to my stomach." The katana hanging from his hip was drawn in a slick, smooth motion, indicating Shou's intense dedication towards the art of swordsmanship. Though, unlike most swordsman, he wielded his blade with a strange, reverse grip that wouldn't really inflict too much grievous injury.
As much as he didn't like it, he -was- in a city, after all. He simply didn't have the influence to go around killing people, and had to settle for arresting criminals instead, even if some of them had a really nasty habit of breaking out of jails. Once he was in charge, he certainly wouldn't let criminals get out of whatever punishment they were inflicted with like it was a walk in the park.
"I am justice. Prepare yourself. I can sense that a pitiful power such as yours needs every advantage in battle they can get, so, I'll even give you extra time to prepare yourself before I break every single bone in that sorry excuse of a body you have." Admittedly, he had a tendency to go overboard with the flowery language and threats when he was facing off against villains, but he couldn't help but to give in to those primal urges that told him to completely humiliate this two bit thug that thought he -really- had what it took to go up against the government and -win-. The audacity was almost enough to make him sick to his stomach, honestly. His blade raises towards his target, glowing with a strange, intense magenta hue. To the untrained eye, it might be casually brushed off, but anyone who was anyone in the martial arts community knew what it truly was: Poison. Unlike many heroes, Shou possessed a complete lack of a honor code.
All that mattered was the victory.

just when Rex thought that today was gonna be just another boring day at the job, it seemed some unexpected events were about to occur. First of all, a dumbass decided to stop himself right in front of his motorcycle, darn near almost ran the dude over. What's more, it seemed it was one of those government dogs. rex sighed and looked ahead at the man that simply oozed self-confidence. Ohh, this was gonna be fun, these guys were the funniest to give the slip to. Their arrogant faces twisted in disbelief and anger about how a common thug one-upped them. As he got off his bike, he grinned behinnd his mask "ah, like all dogs, the whistle called ya over huh?" he said, raising the briefcase. People with apt hearing could notice the faint beeping of the tracking device "but i gotta admit. Didn't think West city had any of yer Ki users around here. I was hoping to give you the slip and be on my way. But it seemes you wanna tussle. Aye, i can tussle" the accent of the large thug betrayed that he was probably not from around any big cities, most likely a desert bandit in origin. Didn't seem like a wolf fang practicioner. In fact, he didn't seem like a martial artist at all. The dual daggers he pulled out to defend himself were not exactly iconic in any martial arts school. He looked axactly as he was. A stronger than average bandit that could probably beat multiple normal humans with ease. Plenty of them in the upper echelons of the desert bandits, nothing to be especially concerned about
However, what he lacked in power, Rex made up in cunning. He was already sizing up his opponent, making plans and counter-plans to his attacks. When you regularly fought people stronger than you, you learned to become darn good at it. The lizardman took a deep breath and once he opened his eyes, a flash of blue lit the visor of his mask for just a moment. The power of lightning coursed through his body, it was a technique he mostly used to deter wild predators, but it could work wonders on unsuspecting victims. In addition to that, he focused all his attention on his opponent, letting his natural survival instincts take the wheel and help him avoid incoming attacks, he knew that it this poison hit, it would be quite the conundrum for him.
After redying up, he cracked his neck and motioned for the officer to come at him "c'mon then puppy, let's see if you're all bark and no bite" he said. In truth, he was quite excited about the battle that would ensue. His opponent's arrogance all but ensured he would be able to get away, but what fun would it be to just dissapear right away. He wanted to test his metal. Could his cunning still let him come on top against the powerhouses of this world, or would he always live a life of nothing but running around and tricking himself out of battles. Not that he particularly minded the second. But for once in his life, it'd be nice to feel strong. And strength sure felt best when you could rub it in the face of someone that thinks they have the upper hand

At this point, managing to get the briefcase back was merely a side objective for Shou. He could always make up a myriad of excuses for why he couldn't get it back for headquarters, so that didn't bother him too much. If the mission was so important, they wouldn't have given it to an incompetent like Reed, he reasoned. No, what mattered the most was instilling that dominance in Tokita, to instill the fear of God in him and always make sure he was looking over his shoulders for Shou, even if he could tell that this overgrown thug was obviously not from around here. Even if he failed in getting that briefcase back, the simple minded people of West City would only think of him as a hero and protector for managing to scare yet another villain interested in disrupting their lives away. To him, it was the definition of a scenario where he won no matter the outcome- though, the prospect of Tokita actually managing to defeat him didn't even cross Shou's mind. He didn't have the strength at a first glance, and he most certainly did -not- possess the brains. No mere two bit thug did, that was simply a fact of life just as the sky being blue and water being wet.
"Hoh? The audacity to goad I, Shou? You common rabble really aren't the sharpest blades in the sheathe, hm? It's quite amusing~." Before he truly starts the fight, he clearly notes the violent looking aura that crackled and sparked as every moment passed, but there was nothing in his arsenal that could bypass it. He scoffed at the thought of it actually hurting enough to be a factor in what was likely going to be a quick and easy fight, and whatever pain did end up happening he was sure he could steel his resolve through it. That was the difference between a hero of justice like Shou, and a villain like Tokita. He carried resolve, drive, determination! In a burst of speed, he dashes forward, a magenta aura surrounding his body and whirling around him. Any civilian that passed by was thankfully smart enough to steer clear from the confrontation, or at least stayed back far enough to record to post it on social media later. "Let's see if you can stop my first dance: Sakura no Hana." In what seemed like a fraction of a second, he'd already closed the gap between him, raising that blade of his which glowed with such a sickening purple it could cause nausea just from being near it. If he'd successfully managed to get into range, then with all of his speed behind him he would slash and carve away wildly at the helmet on Tokita's form, aiming to both unmask him and injure his face. If this dino man was -really- as weak as he claimed to be, then he would be thankful that Shou's reverse grip would be limiting the lethality of his techniques significantly, but not the sheer and utter pain they could cause. Despite purporting he was a hero, Shou was quite the sadist, even if his practical side forced him to end fights as quickly as possible.
"DANCE FOR ME, MASKED MAN, DANCE! I WANT TO SEE JUST HOW UNSIGHTLY AND TWISTED THE FACE OF SUCH A DOLTISH THUG IS!" The battle had barely begun, and already Shou was in the midst of his battle trance, soaking up and enjoying every drop of adrenaline that oozed from this fight. The only thing that quite possibly compared to the thrill of a fight were women, an enjoyable book and putting criminals away, but a primal fight where two warriors could go at each other with absolutely no regrets and restraint of society was something that Shou was always looking for. Perhaps because of the limitations of being in a city, he couldn't truly show his ugly side, and there was a high chance that this fight wouldn't last more than five seconds. Nevertheless, as these first initial moments of combat began, Shou never lost that childish grin on his face for a second. But while to a novice warrior it may have seemed like the high of battle consumed him in its entirety, even now, he was thinking and plotting on what Tokita's potential counters could be. In his calculations, there was a 99% chance that this generic grunt was really nothing more than a generic grunt, and while Shou was most -certainly- a condescending prick, he wouldn't have gotten this far in life if he wasn't a -smart- condescending prick. That 1% was enough to keep him at least partially grounded, cooking up any solutions to any would be unforeseen circumstances. He might not have been a strategist, but he knew that staying one step ahead was always apart of a fight.

Rex finished his preparations and let out a relaxed breath. He knew he was fighting from the back foot here. But his intention was not to play his hand just yet. His opponent seemed quite assured of his victory, and that might be just the opening Rex needed. He had to admit though, seeing his adversary get so fired up was kind of amusing. Almost wanted to go on a whole schpiel himself in fact. But alas, that was a privilege afforded to the strong. And in this encounter, he was definitely the weaker of the two. Thus he couldn't waste time on words, not until this first barrage was over at least. Rex couldn't help but slightly grin as his opponent charged forward. Of course, he'd named his attack, how cheesy. But now wasn't the time for idle jokes. No matter how it was called, this was still a blade heading for his face at supersonic speeds. Luckily for Rex, he happened to be especially good at slipping past attacks. And this wasn't the strongest one he'd ever encountered. The speed of the tip was beyond his level of perception, but his opponent's arm clearly betrayed an arc for his hits, Rex's instincts making a mental prediction on where his blade was coming from and where it'd go. Now there was only one parameter Rex had to preserve: his opponent's perceived superiority. If he dodged these -presumably serious- hits, he'd be definitely jumping a few spots in the danger scale on his opponent's mind. Then he would have a whole other problem. More complex attacks, defensive techniques. This would turn into a proper battle of wits, one Rex was not sure he could win Thus, he made it look like an accident. As his opponent's strikes were closing in, he "barely" deflected one with his knives, tripping over himself and falling ass first on the floor, causing the other hit to go over his head. He let out a grunt of pain. Fake shock, realisation and regret all flashing behind his mask in quick succession. he quickly got up and grit his teeth "Stay back, ya hear?. I dunno what the hell you just did, but if you do it again I'll cut ya, I really will" he said, his panic punctuated by a clumsy flurry of swings. However, there was a method to his madness. Sure, hitting him with one of those would be a good bonus, maybe anger Shou because this lowly thug drew first blood and cause him to make more mistakes. But the real purpose of the hits was misdirection and protection. He aimed to unbalance his opponent while making himself even more difficult to hit without being subjected to a torrent of blades. All things considered, this first attack could have gone way worse. But he couldn't let his guard down yet. Any one of those hits head-on would be catastrophic for him, while his opponent could brush off his attacks with relative ease. This wouldn't be decided while trading blows.... this would come down to one decisive moment. Could rex hold on until then?. And would it even go off properly?. He had no time pondering these thoughts. In the heat of battle, all he could do was let his instinct take over and see them through to the very end [WC:559/1754]

In spite of everything one might have thought about Shou, in spite of nothing but a mere common thug managing to dodge his attacks, the government official wasn't frustrated by these turns of events in the slightest. On the contrary, he was completely and utterly thrilled that this fight would last a few precious more seconds longer, just so he could feel the ultimate high of a fight for a few moments longer. It was an incredibly selfish desire, but you would never find Shou claiming he was perfect in the first place; only that he was a better person, more intelligent, and more skilled than 99% of this planet's pathetic population. Right now, the swordsman's eyes light up like a child on Christmas, happy to get his first thrill for the day. "Yes, yes, yes! Fight back harder, you scum! Try and cut me up all you want, I want you to give it 110% and break those limits of yours! Let's see just how far low born commoner trash really can go! SHOW ME HOW LONG YOU CAN DODGE!" With each passing second that drew on in this fight, he couldn't wait to reach the climax of it all.
A series of strikes fly Shou's way, the sadistic grin on his face growing to cartoonish proportions. "You might be trying to fight like a clumsy idiot, but...." In a burst of speed unlike his own, he quickly takes the giant's flank, blade always at the ready. It was what he was taught in his combat classes with the government; always take advantage of the opponent's blind spots. Wherever they couldn't defend was yet another opportunity for his blade to carve and rend through flesh, another opportunity for him to claim victory, and another opportunity for him to wipe off scum from the Earth. "You've gotta be kidding me if you want me to think this has just been one contrived coincidence after another! So stop screwing around and show me your true potential! GIVE ME THE FIGHT I WANT!" It was almost disturbing how a complete, unrepentant psychopath like Shou even managed to be a judge of both life and death, but it was a mistake the world soon wouldn't forget. For these precious few moments, his mind completely abandons the pretense of being an officer of the law, looking to arrest yet another common criminal. Here, he was a warrior, thrilled by the best battle he'd had since his entire time as an officer, too used to the repetitive nature of mowing through hoards and hoards of insignificant thugs with just a single stroke of his blade.
"I'll make sure not to progress past the first step of my dance too fast! I don't want to end this fight too quickly!" As he enters Tokita's flank, a series of sword strikes fly towards the thug's head yet again, making it clear that he wanted nothing more than the opportunity to 'unmask' his rival and figure out who he was and what he actually looked like. Each merciless swing of his blade was coated in that same familiar magenta coating that could only signify bad news if it ever made contact with the monstrous humanoid, though with the surprising reflexes he possessed, that might have been easier said than done. Still, Shou was confident that impaling his enemy with the tip of his blade wouldn't take too long, which is why he had the mindset he currently did in this battle. In spite of his aggressive tone, in spite of that nightmare fuel grin he had on his face, he still fought with a surprisingly sound and tactical mind, which is why he knew that burning through all of his ki energy would be tantamount to suicide. Like an annoying fly that wouldn't stop buzzing in your ear, Tokita was unusually difficult for Shou to hit, which was yet another clue that he possessed more skill and talent than he was showing right now. While it excited the warrior within him, the more logical and straightforward part of his mind only recognized it as a problem that needed to be squashed before it got out of control. Which two sides of his brain ultimately would win out depended how this fight actually went.
In the end, despite providing what had to be the most fun Shou had in months, Tokita was still lowlife trash in the eyes of the law, justice, and Shou. While he wouldn't be happy he won, he knew the world would be a much better place if a person like this was wiped off the face of the planet or thrown behind bars for the rest of their life, away from a more productive society that Shou was almost certain he would be leading in the next few years.

Rex was not particularly surprised when his hit got deflected. He knew using such sub-par force would not be the way when it came to actually hitting him. However, it helped in de-stabilising Shou, making it easier for Rex to stay one step ahead in the fight. Unfortunately, his bluff was seen through relatively easily, causing the lizardman to scoff "huh, seems you're sharper than you look. Oh well. If the cat's out of the bag, might as well start trying" he said, furrowing his brow as traces of electricity ran through his body. This time, his dodges seemed way more decisive, more deliberate. In fact, that second hit was sloppy, sloppy enough for him to catch the blade between his palms, quickly pulling his daggers away "Huh. Let's do something about the poison of yours ey?" he said, pulling his hands along the length of the blade, wiping away the poison coating it before jumping back. The swings were deflected without any particular issue from the beast-man, who now seemed to get into some sort of unorthodox battle stance "It takes two to dance ya know?. And i'm not sure your steps are that accurate" Rex suddenly felt more talkative himself. His opponent was putting so much work into his speech, why not let himself gloat a little as well? However, despite his words, Tokita was not about to go and reveal his hand just yet. He simply raised his power level by a little bit, still not showing even half of his true power. In reality, his power was less than half of his opponent's, and rex knew that. Getting swept up in the heat of battle would only lead to him playing his hand, which in truth was not that impressive. Thus, he bid his time further. He would make sure to dodge, misdirect and obfuscate his true capabilities for as long as he could before revealing them in an explosive offensive rush, hopefully enough to knock his opponent out of commission. But for now, more basic slashes would do. As long as he got lucky and landed a few hits, he'd only get closer to that "execution threshold". The point where he'd be able to safely move into the full offensive. In truth, Rex was beginning to have a bit of fun with this as well. Course, it'd all been a game of dodging and mind games thus far. First blood hadn't been drawn yet. Not by lack of trying mind you, but they'd been both skilful enough to avoid each other's hits thus far. Rex hoped this next torrent of blows would change that. Or at least cause him to spend a good amount of ki in order to avoid his hits. This battle was all about momentum, and Rex was confident that he had enough tricks up his sleeve to last a couple more exchanges before he'd really start getting pushed back. He has to make every second count if he hoped to be in a good enough position by then. [WC: 508/2262]

Perhaps in his hubris, he'd be a little bit more sloppy than he cared to admit. While his opponent's comments were mostly tuned out, Shou realized that missing his hits meant that not only was it a hundred percent confirmed his opponent possessed more skill than it looked like he did, but that he should most -certainly- stop trying to draw this fight out in order to fulfill his need for battle. As an officer of the World Government, he possessed a civic duty to crush criminals where they stood no matter what it took, and even a low level thug like this one wasn't below the iron fist of justice. All Shou needed was just one, single good hit, and the tides of battle would swing heavily in his favor; that, the swordsman was a hundred percent confident in. But when his opponent danced around like the single most annoying mosquito in the world, that was easier said than done. Perhaps he was too used to fighting thugs that were prone to running into his attacks head on, and this was good practice for more serious battles.
Still, while things weren't looking his way right now, that didn't mean he would give up, either. A rapid burst of ki enhances his movements tenfold, allowing him to dance around his opponent's attacks with ease and simplicity. It was unfortunate that his poison wore off, but Shou was confident that even without the aid of his signature ability, winning this fight wouldn't be entirely out of his abilities. All he needed to do was be patient for that single slip-up and watch both his and this low life worm's ki reserves. He had full faith that this prolonged game of cat and mouse would come to a close, and best of all it would probably be without Shou taking a single hit at all. It would, after all, be utterly disgraceful to have to carry the wounded pride of being hit by such disgusting trash, but the fact that the thought even crossed his mind all but served to confirm his belief that he needed to train harder if he wanted to rule the world with absolutely zero opposition. After all, if someone like him could force his hand to the point where Shou was actually contemplating strategy, even if the pompous swordsman still thought that this battle was in his favor, then that meant he had months upon months of hardcore, rigorous training to deal with. There was fish in this vast, wide ocean of evil and degeneracy far bigger than some punk trying to steal a briefcase, after all.
The insane amount of gloating coming from Shou stopped, but rather than it serving as a cue that he was starting to falter in confidence, it only meant that he was more determined to end this fight as quickly as possible. Not only did he want with all of his soul to turn this man into a fine paste on the ground, the reputation of his image as something of a hero to the citizens of West City was on the line. If he lost to a scumbag like this, he couldn't imagine what the people would think of him and whether or not they could trust him with taking care of the bigger problems around here. Of course, while Shou believed your average citizen was nothing more than useless garbage, he still recognized the need to maintain a pristine public image. It was, after all, the reason he decided to join the World Government instead of wandering around the world as some type of vigilante. Being entrenched within the law not only gave him the trust of many people, but also allowed him to tap into a political power that only a rare few outside of the arms of the law could obtain.
"I have to admit, you're better than I gave you credit for. That probably makes you feel a little bit more confident about this battle, huh?" He pivots behind the giant, sorry excuse of a mortal, swinging his sword downwards. "But I can't blame you. I really did mean it when I said you were the best fight I've had in awhile. It's a shame you use this power to live such a lackluster life, when you have the potential to be so much more..." A chilling smile forms on his visage, his words as cold as the terrible Artic weather itself. "Don't worry. I'll put an end to all those regrets soon enough. I've already calculated all your movements..." This was a Shou that was far more calm and collected in his movements, each and every swing that came out of that blade of his seeming more and more controlled by the second. While those he fought were usually scared to death by the bloodthirsty and cackling version Shou that Tokita fought moments ago, -this- version of Shou was far more dangerous.
