Baccer stopped powering up once clove told him to. She didn't seem to have realised the reason behind his efforts, being rather disheartened by that. Of course, the fact nobody was hurt and the situation was defused was good, he didn't argue that. He wasn't just trying to display his power level, or gotten into a childish competition with Zam. He was way less enthusiastic about the cotton candy, but ate it anyway. Hey. It still tasted good
As they approached the petting part of the Zoo, Baccer stood back as Zam approached the bunnies. He himself drew near the ponies, starting to pet one. It seemed Zam was having certain... issues with petting the bunny. She was worried about how much force to apply. It wasn't really an issue he ever had. But given she was a creature of mimickry, and hadn't seen anyone pet a bunny anymore, he saw the issue. After a bit of thought, he landed upon a solution "hmm, Zam. You could use the saem strength you use on an ice cream cone so it doesn't break and the ice cream spills everywhere" he said, hoping his example would help somewhat... he just hope it didn't make things worse

After Clove washed her hands, she picked up a fine bristle brush from a zoo staff holding a basket full of them, and then joined the pre-teens. Baccer observantly noticed that Zam wanted to follow the rules and be very gentle with the animals so they weren’t forced to leave. The Tea Princess was impressed the bio-android made that observation, it was good that they could learn from each other, especially since strength wasn’t everything, being able to hold an ice cream cone without obliterating it was a good analogy.
“Baccer-kun is right. You can do it, Zam-chan. Gentle. Like holding an ice cream cone.” Clove affirmed, kneeling down next to the bubble gum pink Majin, using her brush to comb the small frail rabbit who was comfortable in Zam’s white sundress lap. The fabric withstood the hay dust from the enclosure as it was made from zetex fabric like most of the clothing Clove owned.
“If you can do that, you can do anything you set your heart on, and we can stay at the zoo as long you like and still have fun.”
With a smile, she stood back up, to brush the Pony that was curious about Baccer. “Ponies are strong enough to allow small children to ride them but not adults. It would injure them, so they don’t really have a purpose as live stock compared to other animals. However, they are still seen as cute to have around at any farm and are especially bred.”
Clove Tea was raised as Princess, riding a pony as a tiny little demon girl, was something she indulged in her upbringing while her mother Hinata was still alive. With a sigh, she continued to brush the little Pony, almost bending over to do so since she stood around six feet tall in her platform okobo sandals. [307]

This time, the answer to Zam’s wordless question came from an unexpected direction. She directed a puzzled stare at Baccer. “Like an ice cream cone...?” She rolled the strange idea over her tongue. Even weirder, somehow in the depths of that chaotic mind... The unusual suggestion made perfect sense! Her expression brightened with... well, calling it newfound wisdom sounded silly, so... a joyful realization. Clove’s confirmation was met with an enthusiastic nod. “Like an ice cream cone, yus!” Right. Of course. Simple as that. The zoo attendant watching the odd exchange cocked her head like she was trying to comprehend foreign language. The little Majin’s worries vanished. Having received enlightening advice from her friends, she moved her hand back onto the tiny bundle of fur in her lap. The pink hand still trembled a tiny bit as she focused deeply. Caaarefully, caaaarefully... And much to her wonder, the bunny nuzzled against her petting palm. A tiny nose twitched curiously, sniffing this new person. It didn’t judge based on appearance or power. Needless to say, the young chaos creature was instantly smitten. The overdose of cuteness elicited cooing so sweet and nonsensical that listening for too long might cause cavities. “Socute~ Lil bun bun cute~” Aaaand so forth. The word cute was repeated so many times it stopped sounding like a word altogether. Meanwhile, the more mature supporters were finding themselves popular too. Clove especially was quickly swarmed by a squadron of small, hopping balls of fluff seeking the holy bliss known as... brushie brushie. Likewise, Baccer had gained the attention of a pony. Nearby, a grazing sheep with its back turned to the trio slowly raised its head. Black eyes barely visible beneath a bush of wool gave the bugman a sideways glance. However, the head just kept rising, further and further, neck slowly elongating in a cursed display of eldri-oh, it was actually an alpaca. Kinda rare around these parts. Baccer seemed kinda introspective as Clove explained to him what a pony was. A creature with no discernable, singular purpose, simply used to entertain... he wondered what a bio-android pony would look like. But before he could continue these broody thoughts, he was met with the even stranger visage of an alpaca. Baccer had to wonder what they needed those long necks for, but was certain Clove would be more informed on that. He decided to approach the nonchalant creature and pet it, seeming a bit more interested in this part of the zoo now. Of course he didn't reach the level of enthusiasm Zam has, he kinda doubted it being possible in the first place. But at least she could get enthusiastic about something that wasn't food or blowing stuff up. Now that's what he called progress
eventually the android had seen everything he wanted to from the petting zoo, walking back to where clove and Zam were standing. This was definitely more relaxing than he'd ecpect. then again, it felt appropriate as a reward for their hard training. He roamed the zoo like any other visitor would, spending time with friends. In times like these, the bugboy didn't feel so different from the people around him

A good deal of time was spent at the petting zoo, Baccer was quiet as he observed the animals, and at some point Clove left the area to buy things from the gift shop. The tea princess bought stuffed animal versions of the camel and the elephant which are super cute and small with shiny beads for eyes, as well as two picture books, one about farm animals, and the other about animals in the southern demon kingdom. A pop-up book about different kinds of insects in the Southern Islands was added to a souvenir zoo tote for Baccer which was filled with the items plus the Elephant. A second tote was for Zam, filled with the books, and the stuffed Camel with a tiny woven carpet on its hump. The ABCs of animals was also included in Zam’s tote, it seemed she did not know how to read, so it was time that she learned how. Clove returned to give the preteens their gift bags, her c-phone rang suddenly after she handed it over, and it was from her sister who was in labor. The half demon screamed in excitement for news, she wanted to see her new family members, but she couldn’t bring along her anyone else in the labor room. “Baccer-kun, my sister Juniper is in labor, do you mind keeping Zam out of trouble for the rest of the zoo? I will contact you with an update later. I have to go.”With a smile and brief wave, Clove took off into the air, and headed West, towards the Western Lands, to take care of her only sibling. Sadly, all good things had to come to and end. Zam wanted to keep petting and cuddling the cute bunny, but it hopped out of her lap. It probably had important bunny things to do. Fortunately, the little Majin’s head was still mush from the cuteness overload, so she didn’t have the brainpower to protest. “Bye bye, Mister Bunny~” She got back up and got out of the enclosure ...But not before giving the weird, long-necked sheep a couple of friendly pats as well. Upon returning to Clove, the curious child was handed a bag of sorts. Immediately her expression brightened. This was... a present! An amazing and mysterious thing she had only heard of before! People gave each other presents on special days. Her friends had talked about them, but they had never given her any. Maybe because she had never had a day this special before. “Thank you~!” Chiming cheerily, she snatched the bag and immediately started snooping the contents. Sadly, there was nothing delicious to eat, but the cute camel doll elicited a joyous squeal. The books, on the other hand, were treated with confused curiosity. More mysterious squigglies... Meanwhile, nearby, a couple of shady figures exchanged suspicious glances and hushed whispers. “Okay, the Demon Princess left... Quickly now...” One shadow drew as close as the crowd allowed and a deep, raspy called out with a quiet growl. “Psst, Zam...! Over here...!” The small Majin glanced curiously towards the noise. “Hm?” Her eyes widened. Without any warning, she dashed off and disappeared into the crowd. Even her strange, wobbly power level shrunk down enough to get lost in the sea of tiny ki signatures. The shady figures were gone too. Yup, she had wandered off again, dragged into trouble no doubt. Buuut that would be a whole nother story... [Exit Zam stage left.]Words: 302 | 4,389 Natural PL at start: 30,221 Tags: Baccer Clove
