"So... this is the stuff?"
The driver slapped the side of his truck and turned back to Nase, who was rubbing his eyes from getting up early for this mission.
"Yep! This is where the shipment is being carried in. You guys are ready to protect the cargo?"
While the man was talking, the indifferent cyborg started stretching his arms into the air without really paying attention to what the guy was saying. Once he heard the end of his sentence, his attention was returned and Nase entered the conversation again.
"Heh? You guys? The hell are you talking about?"
The driver looked shocked for a second before understanding the situation.
"Oh... I thought y'all worked together or somethin'. Yeah, they're two more guards coming to work wit' yah. Hope that's not an issue"
Nase thought about what's been going on recently and noted the amount of people he had met recently. Sure, he wasn't against meeting more people, but he also enjoyed being able to do things by himself a lot of the time.
"(Well, I can't help but admit that more people would be useful, but I hope I don't have to interact with them too much.")
Walking into the door of the large vehicle, Nase turned his head before fully entering, asking another question to the driver.
"Hey, before I go in... what is even in this thing that you guys are transporting that you need to hire more than one person to protect it.
The driver just shrugged his shoulders and went into the front of the truck.
"I dunno. I'm just the driver. Heard there were some gangs raiding cargo on the way we're going. It should be fine tho."
Squinting her eyes at the guy, he shook his head and walked into the back, where multiple white boxes were put inside of it.
"It's just a trip to Central City and back anyways. It's fineeeeee..."
Nase looked around in the room he was going to have to protect, he quickly sat down in the corner facing the open door to the inside. After waiting for a short bit, he noticed a window leading out of the container. Quickly becoming bored of the whole nothing he was doing, he decided to yell out to the guy driving.
"Oi! You know when they're supposed to show up? Don't really have much to do here."
"I was as surprised as you when they didn't show up. They should be here any minute though."
Wondering how the driver could be so optimistic, the 'reassurance' he was given didn't really assure Nase at all.
"Can you at least tell me who they're going to be? Since I'm going to be working with them."
There was a short pause for a moment until the driver's voice came back, speaking as if he was trying to remember something he didn't pay attention to.
"Eh... one of them was this monkey-beastman... I think. And the other... Oh yeah! They were some robot or something."
He snapped his fingers for a second trying to remember until it finally hit him.
"Androids! They call them androids."
"(Another android..?)"
Nase thought to himself that he's been meeting a lot more androids than he thought he would be meeting in his life. Feeling a sort of distance mentally between others do to his... situation, Nase hoped that this android he was going to be with for the next hours would be more like him, though something told him it wouldn't be so. And that other person... was he describing a saiyan? He didn't want to become prejudiced against them... but he didn't have a great experience with them in the past.
Slumping back down onto the ground, Nase sighed audibly before leaning his head against the left wall of the cargo carrier.
"Let's... just hope they're tolerable..."
"That's the spirit!"
"AAH! Don't listen in on me like that! Don't you have to get the truck ready or something?!"

Apparently there have been some raids with this trucking company and Celerai decided to guard the truck for the Convoy. It actually brought him off track. He wanted to go to the Pilaf Lands and not the Central Lands, but he ended up changing his mind just because of this problem. He was later informed that there might be two other people joining him. But, he didn't get who and what exactly they were known for, if they were of a different race. Basically, the details.
Celerai sensed that he was close when he felt the two power levels near the truck. They were low, which meant that they weren't fighters at all but there was this other guy there which seemed to have a power level of 0, or in other words, Celerai couldn't sense his ki.. at all, which was rather weird. The last time this happened actually was a long time ago when Celerai, Shinryu and Luther went to the fight club in the Southern Islands. The Saiyan couldn't sense Luther's ki, which was a bit peculiar in Celerai's opinion but at the same time, he was the exact guy that taught both Saiyans some stuff about.. fighting even though Shinryu and Celerai knew how to fight in the first place. Maybe one could call it.. a test. He was stronger than both of the Saiyans anyways. Anyways, he didn't come here to check everyone's current level in terms of power, but instead help protect the stuff in the back of the truck.
"Oh? A monkey beastman you say? Yeah, but I don't have a tail so how did you know? Well, you were correct technically. My name is Celerai and I'm a Saiyan."
He said, landing after a long flight to the Central Lands. Hopefully it wasn't weird for them to see someone fly. To be fair, he just dropped in on their conversation after landing.
"Hey so uhh, I was supposed to go to the Pilaf Lands originally but I heard that there were some problems here, so I decided to help out. This shouldn't be hard, should it?"
He asked. It was at this point that he realized that he was really hungry and that would cause a bit of a problem. The Saiyan hoped that there would be food on the job, because if there wasn't, well.. nothing. He'd just have to live with that.

Quickly after had told off the truck driver, Nase got up from his hand and saw an eavesdropping figure land in front of the truck's door. While the driver's emotion lit up to the point it was audible, Nase stared at him aloofly in contemplation.
"Woah! Nice landing!!"
The young driver began clapping his hands, while Nase began to think to himself.
"(Another flyer, huh? That'd probably be useful... If we weren't going to be inside a vehicle the whole mission. He does look like he'd be powerful, but I'm not going to waste energy searching for it, though. He probably can control it anyway.)"
The new figure began to introduce himself to them and clear up confusion.
"Saiyans, yeah that's the word they used. Could'a sworn all o' y'all had tails, but eh. Times are changing!"
As the tailless Saiyan walked inside, Nase stood up to greet him, and noticed that he was taller than he thought he was. In fact, they were the same height! Huh.
"Hey, you're with us, yeah? You know where the third guy is?"
He folded his arms while he spoke, and raised his eyebrows after he was answered.
"Then where on earth is he? We don't have all day to deliver this now."
From the front, the sound of a phone clicking came out, which made Nase curious. He began banging against the wall with the side of his hand, trying to get his attention.
"Hey, hey! What's going on?"
"Just got news from the big boss. The robot ain't comin' t'day"
Huh. They aren't coming? Then, it'll just be the two of them trying to protect the truck now.
"That means we're alone then. Sigh, let's just try and do this then without them."
Nase was about to turn around again to the wall, but then stopped himself halfway. Sighing again, he turned back to Celerai and outstretched his hand towards him.
"If we're going to be working together, we probably should at least know what to call each other. I'm Nase."
After the interaction, he walked back over to his side of the truck, sticking his head out the window.
"Alright, we got nothing else waitin' for, yeah?"
Oh no, now Nase was catching the accent.
"Let's go, then!"
The trucker answered back with his comically shrill voice and honked his horn.
"Yes, Sir!"
And so they were off.

Hm, Nase was.. an interesting one. He had this way of talking which was again, a bit similar to Luther's. Is this some sort of 'people with no power level having a different way of saying stuff'? It's like they had an accent.
"Yeah, I guess? Who is this third guy you speak of? Oh, yeah. I don't know who or where he or she is." He said. The android seemed a bit frustrated by the fact that the third person wasn't here.
"Can't we just go without him? I'm pretty sure that you could do all the driving and I'll do all the defending and fighting. No problem there. I'll just fly all the way. What's your name anyways?" He asked out of curiosity. It was a bit odd that he didn't introduce himself from the start. Once it was confirmed that the other person wasn't gonna make it, Celerai didn't exactly have a problem. Now, they could finally leave.
"No need to be so frustrated, this shouldn't take long, even without that other.. guy or whatever. Nice to meet you, Nase." He said, shaking the android's hand. After they met, they finally decided to set off on their.. adventure? Who knows? This will be fun though!
"There was this one thing that puzzled me though.. why can't I sense your ki signature?"

Slowly but surely, the protected cargo truck inched onto the main road, with its two guardians sitting in the back of it. As they went on, Nase stuck his head out of the window once again and stared out into the open road, not thinking about anything in particular. He was going to say something when he heard the Saiyan behind him speak up to ask something.
"Sure, go ahead."
Nase answered calmly, but when he heard what Celerai was asking him, he started to break out into a sweat.
"(Dang it. Why does everyone ask that first off?)"
Immediately standing up straight, Nase started to think of an answer quickly, while the Saiyan stared at him, waiting for an answer.
"I'm... uh..."
Remembering how Wakana described his situation, he used it as a crutch now.
"I've been suppressing my power level. I'm keeping it zero so people can't sense me. You don't need to worry about my strength anyway, it's not that much."
Nase was only half-lying at that last part. His ability, though what he's seen is only in the hundreds, is still much stronger than any untrained fighter that Nase has seen. But that's the issue. That's all that Nase has seen. Anytime Nase had gone over 400 on his power readings, he would sort of... blackout for a time. He would get the feeling of something washing over him, and then the feeling of something speaking for him as well. It was a really weird experience.
Looking out of his window again, Nase got a very distant look on his face.
"Hey guy, this is a Convoy mission we're helping you with, yeah?"
Without skipping a beat, the cheerful truck driver responded happily.
"Yeah?"
"Then where are the rest of the trucks?"
"Oh, we're going to meet them soon. Since I'm the only one with backup, we're kinda running late. But we should meet them up the road soon!"
Nase then stuck his head out fully and sounded very serious all of a sudden.
"You mean like that one?"
Looking outside, one could see what was the large wreckage of a cargo truck turned over on the side of the road, with many burnt holes and crushed parts surrounding it. Immediately, the truck Nase and Celerai were in stopped and though he wasn't visible through the closed door, Nase could tell the driver was terrified with what was ahead of them.
"W-What-"
Before the stuttering driver could finish his sentence, the sound of bike motors humming started to come from the trees around the road the trio was in.
It's a trap."
It seemed he was right, as the sound revealed itself to be a large number of motorcycles with many hardened-looking earthlings on them. Human, Beastman, even some monsters were there. About 6 in total were ahead of the semi, with many more behind it. Though he spoke matter-of-factly, Nase did so while gritting his teeth in worry.
Internally, he was swearing over and over again, trying to think what to do now that they were surrounded. After a few seconds, the bikes stopped in front of the truck's front, much to the relief of Nase's nerves.
Quickly hopping off of their vehicle, the apparent leader of the group walked to the truck with a cocky smirk on their face and a large firearm in their off-hand, a dangerous aura surrounding the beastman.
Nase was about to jump out and do something, but decided against it when the person aimed their weapon near the front of the vehicle, no doubt pointed straight at the driver. The gang leader said that they knew of some packages were being delivered today on the road, and that they were looking for them.
"As you probably already realized, we aren't particularly afraid of using force. So you might as well hand the loot over from now."
Luckily, it seemed like no one in the group had noticed the two in the back yet, giving Nase and Celerai a sort of advantage in the scenario. Taking a quick glance at his coworker, Nase turned to the door in front of them and raised one of his hands in the shape of a fist. Speaking in a voice quiet enough that only Celerai could hear, Nase opened his hand and pointed it to the door.
"Hey, you think you can take out enough for us to escape?"
Quickly after asking, an audible sound came from his hand as a green ki ball appeared ahead of it.
"Well, you better."
The thief pulled the driver out of the front and leaned extremely close into his face, making sure their shotgun was directed at his neck.
"Now, let's see what's in the back shall we~?"
Pushing the driver back, the leader grabbed the handle of the door and flung it open with bravado.
"Now then..."
Before they could continue, the thief was caught short by the sight of the two guards standing in front of them.
"What the-"
"Neutron Star!"
In a flash, a bright jade laser stabbed straight into the shoulder of the leader, leaving a thin, but painful cut on the side of it. In shock, they dropped their weapon and stumbled back. The leader yelled out in pain, grabbing their now bleeding arm, not noticing that Nase was running towards them.
"You bast... huh?"
One quick punch to the stomach was enough to send them flying back, giving Nase enough time to turn his head to Celerai behind him.
"Hmph. Hurry it up!"
Jumping into the air past them, Nase aimed both hands ahead of him, and shot ki from his feet to keep him stable in the air.
"Hey, Driver. Are you alright?"
Picking himself up, the truck driver gave him a thumbs-up, before Nase continued.
"Great. We're going to need to get out of here! Get ready to drive out when we're finished."
Once Nase faced ahead of him again back, he noticed the remainder of the thugs outside were preparing weapons to attack him. Sighing, he shook his head in disappointment. The fact that they all were relying on weapons probably meant that they couldn't use ki at all.
"(I'm gonna feel bad about this... Maybe.)"
Flicking his wrists, two larger ki blasts appeared in his hands, both hovering in front of the holes in his hands. Slamming his arms together, much like a very prideful vegetable from a different time, Nase retracted the attack, only to fire a ton of indiscriminate beams into the crowd of enemies, slashing at some, and breaking the weapons of others.
"Shooting Stars!"
After his light show finished, Nase landed in front of the driver as he entered the truck again in a rush.
"Might wanna hurry up already!"
While Nase was preoccupied, some undamaged weapon was fired at him from the side, only giving him enough time to hear the noise it made before it as about to hit him.
"Crap!"
Reflexively raising an arm to block it, Nase saw a flash of his aura appear in front of him, blowing the projectile apart before it could hit him.
"Woah-ho-ho! Now that's an upgrade!"
The rush that this gave Nase caused him to shoot a blast his assailant in the face before they had the time to react. A sinister smile started to form on Nase's face afterwards that revealed his enjoyment. He readied his fist to swing after another one of his opponents when he heard the truck's engine turn back on behind him.
"You two! Come on! We gotta go!"
Becoming dismayed at the loss of the chance to fight the rest, Nase quickly turned around and launched himself onto the side of the semi-truck, hanging off the side of it with his arms.
Waiting for Celerai to return, Nase covered his entire body in his ki to try and protect himself.
"Let's get out of here already!"
And with that, they sped off again, leaving the dregs of the attackers in their own wreckage.
Temporarily, at least.

Celerai felt a bit guilty for asking that question. It's as if the android was hiding something. Celerai wondered to himself for a bit why he struggled to answer his question. The Saiyan didn't really understand what it meant to hide your ki signature when you're not fighting, well.. not in a literal sense. He knew what it meant, but thought about it like this.. if you're hiding your energy, that means you're trying to protect yourself. Maybe he was being targeted, or even assassinated. But, this Nase guy didn't want to tell him the full story.
"Oh. That's what I kinda expected anyways. But, I just found it puzzling for a while. I wouldn't normally suppress my energy unless I'm holding back in a fight. I actually thought that you were just an average human for a sec. Heh."
He admitted. But, something else bothered the fellow Saiyan. The fact that he said not to worry about his strength and that it wasn't much. Celerai was under the impression that Nase thought that the Saiyan was scared and was trying to start a fight. There was no point worrying about the android, but instead, about the guys they had to face while they deliver the stuff. The truth is, Celerai didn't really care that much about what was being delivered, but about continuing his training. Maybe fighting these guys would help with that, even if it's by a little. As Nase and the others conversed, Celerai was just outside the truck, flying at a very slow speed, slower than he normally would, because he had to keep up with the speed of the truck in order to stay close.
Celerai could sense the rather faint ki signatures up ahead. That could mean two things. Maybe the people up ahead were passers by or they were the thieves that he was supposed to protect the goods from. As the Saiyan got closer and closer, he could see the guns that they had . It seemed as if they were armed and ready after all. The truck came to a stop and the thieves came out of nowhere, demanding that they should give up the goods or else they will use force.
"Oh? So, you're those guys that we're supposed to be taking care of? Hmph."
He said, with a smirk visible on his features. He landed gracefully on the ground and once most of the thieves saw this, they began to freak out. By their reaction, it was obvious that they thought that he wasn't human. Celerai started to walk towards the men and they demanded that he should step back, but he didn’t listen. They aimed their guns at the Saiyan and started firing. Celerai was slightly frightened, as he has never actually dealt with someone armed with a gun before. But, his instincts told him to catch the bullet. When he did, he looked at his hand and released the damaged peice of metal. It only stung a little, but not that much. The others looked at him in disbelief, they could even believe their eyes.
“Fire at will!”
One shouted. Without wasting even a second, dozens of bullets went in the direction of the Saiyan and as expected, he quickly dealt with the problem by catching all of the bullets that were fired at him. Celerai quickly charged at the men, grabbing the guns, bent it so that it couldn't be used ever again and then tossing them away. They yet again grew surprised at the man's abilities.
"What the-?! Are you even human?!"
Celerai simply ignored the question. He quickly outmaneuvered the men and gave them a light chop to the back of their head, that should knock them out for at least a few hours. Celerai was a bit concerned as to why Nase was using energy attacks, especially against these guys. He was only defending the Convoy, right? Maybe energy attacks would be too much for them, you know.. they brought guns to protect themselves and threaten the driver of the truck after all.
"Hey Nase, take it easy with those energy attacks. We just need to knock them out!"
The Saiyan shouted. Zipping around from person to person, he quickly hit them in the back of their heads and within about thirty seconds, they were all on the ground. Hm, that wasn't so hard, after all. This wasn't even training. It was just merely guarding some attacks when you think about it in a literal sense. Even though most people wouldn't think about those as attacks. Well, the Saiyan just wanted to get this guarding thing over with anyway. Maybe get some training in with this 'Nase' guy. He seems ok. He's pretty good with his energy attacks. That's.. a good way to say that he's a good opponent, right? He genuinely hasn't trained for a while now and would really like to have some time to do so, but this was obviously not the time for that. After all, he did promise to help these guys out anyways.
"Eh, that wasn't so hard. I mean, we're pretty much done here. Let's just hope that this group was the last of those thieves."

To say Nase was shocked by his coworker was an understatement. When he heard Celerai telling him to calm down with his ki, he thought for a moment that he was going too hard against his side of the group. Then, he saw Celerai's side of the battle. The precision and speed Celerai was fighting with was insane, with people dropping left and right as he advanced onwards. Multiple people opened fire at him, but within seconds, the bullets AND the guns that were firing them were destroyed, causing even more shock to appear on his face. What even was this guy?
Taking his attention away from the pile of unconscious bodies being left over there and pulled himself up onto the top of the truck to survey the battlefield they just left. Most of the attacking force around them had already diminished, as everyone had seemingly been either minorly injured or knocked out cold. Eh, they deserved it.
"Yeah... that better be the last of them."
Nase's arms hung lazily to his sides as he turned back to the front the truck, looking at the road ahed of them
"Yeah, it should be. Just to make sure, let's not go back there when we're leaving."
Even through the roof of the semi he was standing on, Nase could hear the anxiety in the driver's voice. He wanted to try and comfort him, but he thought against it. He focused more on stabilizing himself on the roof of the vehicle instead as he was wasting no time trying to get the packages and bodyguards away from the fight. Celerai was flying nearby the truck and was doing so seemingly effortlessly, that Nase started to feel jealous. Maybe he should try to training soon, so he could be like that too. Shaking his head, he removed the thought. He should be worrying about protection now, not training yet.
Then Nase heard something, or at least he felt like he did. A strange... pulsing... feeling resounded into the back of his head and Nase turned around instantly and saw something coming up behind him.
"You thought we'd be that easy to get rid of?!"
Fully turning, he saw a large cone of blue ki flying towards the truck, with the angered gang leader inside of it, flying at full force at them.
"What the hell?!"
"It's not over yet you simpletons!"
Shocked by the sight of this, Nase then noticed that there were some smaller ones behind the leader as well, slowly making the distance. Some of the gang members could channel ki, and they were all trying to kill them as a last ditch effort to rob them.
"They could fly the whole time?!"
While he's saying this, two cyan ki blasts arc past him and burn the roof underneath him.
"Oh, Come on!"
Getting into a battle position, Nase waited as all of the flying opponents made themselves known. There were eight of them, not counting the leader and they all hovered in front of the guards, both prideful and enraged.
"So. You two thought you could just take us all out and leave us for dead that easily, huh?"
Nase stood a little straighter and snarked back at the aggressors.
I would have hoped so. Would have saved us the trouble."
A visible vein appeared on the leader's head and Nase started to smirk at the effect his comment had on the captain. With a snap of their fingers, they started to give their men orders through gritted teeth.
"You lot! You take the truck... I'll handle this here cretin by myself.
The leader cracked their fingers and landed right in front of her mocker.
"Whoops, looks like I pissed someone off."
Turning his head to the now surrounded Celerai with a more serious tone in his voice.
"Hey Celerai, you can take those guys by yourself?"
"Shouldn't you be more worried about yourself?"
Nase smirked and slammed a fist into his palm ahead of him.
"Why, is there something I should be afraid of?"
Once again, the leader's face contorted into a face of pure rage with a large spike in energy coming off of them.
"Don't think that I forgot that you were that shot at me!"
While holding their arm after reminding themself of the hit they took, the leader dashed towards Nase with their held arm preparing to strike. Nase quickly sidesteps this, and jabs his elbow towards his assailant. This, unfortunately for him, got caught by the gang leader, which got countered with a swift and glowing punch to the stomach. He stumbled back from the hit, only giving his opponent the time to swing at him again, causing the side of the leader's fist to collide with Nase's head.
"Heh, maybe now you'll learn your place."
Nase raised his head again, now bruised from the hit he just took. Putting a hand on his forehead to stabilize himself, he looked at his now gloating opponent and leered. A faint glow of his sickly green aura appeared as he pulled back from his opponent. He rushed back quickly and swung his open hand towards the head of the thief leader, a ki blast exploding as it made its target. The smoke cleared to show a guarding thief who's arms were quickly struck open from below, leaving the rest of their body open to more attacks. One of these being a kick that Nase used to launch the leader stumbling back, giving him time to act.
"Let's try something new."
Nase raised his hands ahead of him and the hatches in his palms opened up.
"I'm going to need to borrow something of yours."
"What is this?!"
The glowing aura around the truck robber slowly dimmed around them and Nase's own started to grow stronger and stronger.
"Thanks for that."
Looking at their arms and torso, the leader looked more surprised than the anger they were displaying previously.
"What on earth? How did you-"
"Uh-uh-uh!"
Cutting the thief off, Nase silenced them via an uppercut to the solar plexus, followed by a large green flash coming off of his fist launching them into the air and off of the truck, which stopped after hearing the sound. The leader, almost unconscious from the strike, tumbled backwards onto their feet, barely able to lift their head up. Struggling to get up even a little bit, they heard Nase speaking, which got their attention.
"So you're still conscious, eh?"
A mixture of pain and fear went over them as they looked up and saw their opponent standing over them... licking their lips?
"It's pretty cool that all these guys know how to use ki and all, but I know your type. You won't give up until we give you a reason to. So that's why I will. Don't worry, you'll only be out for a while."
Falling back onto their back, they saw his power level reach 300... 400... all the way to 700 where a strong aura fully surrounded him.
"W-wait. Hold on!"
With a red glint in his eyes, Nase raised both hands into the air and created two giant orbs of energy in his hands.
"Double... Shooting..."
"W-w-wait!"
"Star!"
After pushing his hands towards the leader, Nase dissipated the energy in front of him and let his arms and power level drop to comfortable levels again.
"Phew, that's better now."
Calmly, Nase hopped off the top of the semi-truck and trotted over to his injured opponent. With a flick of his finger onto the leader's forehead, the gang leader fell onto the ground, passed out from a mix of exhaustion and panic while sitting straight up.
"Heh, good thing she didn't call my bluff."
Seconds after he spoke, Nase fell down onto his butt, almost unconscious from the overwork.
"Maybe I shouldn't have made the ki blasts so big since I was just faking it."
...
It took much less time to reach back to the Central City than it took to get to the West, and in almost no time they had finished their crate delivery and returned. Now thoroughly rested from his adventure, Nase hopped out of the back of the cargo vehicle, stretching his arms as he did so. The driver came out from his door and thanked the two fighters for their protection, speaking in his naturally cheery voice again.
"Ah, you don't have to worry much, was just trying to help out. By the way, what were we carrying out to West City anyways?"
"Oh, nothing serious just a few senzu beans being delivered. Nothing too serious."
"Whaaaaaaaat?! Senzu beans?!"
The truck driver started laughing loudly which distressed Nase further.
"I'm kidding, I'm kidding... it was a food delivery."
"What?"
"I'm serious." CeleraiPost 4 (Final) WC: 1461 PWC: 3857 TWC: 6000
