It had been six months, and most of his laboratory was still offline. The mind transfer had taken far too much power—power the small, secret facility had not been able to facilitate in a proper fashion. The main generator had blown several fuses, which plunged half of his lab in darkness. The back-up generator kept a few areas up and running, but it was not long for this world either.
Funding was crucial, and with the abundance of businesses within South City, he was certain he could find yet another financial backer. He had to venture out into the world far sooner than he would have liked; his current model, though superb, was far from complete. It could not be helped: progress and adversity often worked in tandem.
Null frowned as he observed the chaotic scene before him. Up and down the main thoroughfare, picketers lined the broad avenue hoisting signs and yelling at each other. It seemed some sort of corporate war was going on. Not good for his purposes.
"This is rather... disconcerting."

The problem with these companies is becoming rather disturbing, and even though there wasn't going to be any combat here, which was a bit sad, Celerai decided to help. The chaos and mayhem was just too much. His boss also had a problem with this, and gave him a day off to deal with this problem.
"Come on, boss. I was expecting something more than just this boring job."
"I'll pay you extra if you do it."
"Ok, fine."
There it was. A short but self explanatory conversation on the phone of what Celerai thought of this. He wasn't exactly sure of what was happening, because he wasn't listening to his boss when he told him.. everything.
"Hello, sir. Excuse me. Would you mind telling me what's going on? My boss didn't have much to say about this. He just said that it was a bit chaotic out here and that the problem needed to be fixed somehow, but I don't know what the problem is exactly."
