As the sun lazily drifted through the sky, its morning rays began to shine down on a large area known as The West City. As the day progressed, many stood outside about the businesses and homes strewn around the street. There was also a group of people coming into city from the outside, for one reason or another. One of these travelers that had just appeared, was a taller, but slouched figure who slowly exited the large group holding a strange item in his hands. With one hand holding onto a galaxy-coloured orb and the other in the pocket of his jacket, the man looked around while lightly tossing the ball a couple times. As it's purple light shone along with orange-gold light of the sky, the man began to think to himself."(Why would a band of criminals have a random glowing ball. This thing looks much too important for a band of thieves to have it... Or maybe that's why they stole it in the first place. Either way, this thing's giving me the creeps.)" Thinking about it for a second, he decided to just shove the ominous into his back pocket and walked fully into the town, his gloved hands already shoved into his pockets."I should probably not have this out for too long."Looking around the street, Nase noticed a large amount of shops opening up as he walked past them. Taking note of this, he patted his stomach expecting a grumble, but was shocked when nothing happened. He then realized that he hadn't feel very hungry at all. It's been like a whole day!"Hm... Maybe I should still look for something anyway."Continuing on, he noticed people selling weapons, armours, even senzu roots in one place amazingly, but still, none of them really caught his eye. That is, until he saw a specific sword being hung at the front of a store. It was labelled as a tech sword, and the design of it seemed... familiar, in a strange way. Pulling his left hand out of his pocket, he mimed grabbing the sword from in front of him by slowly opening and closing his hands twice, but froze suddenly when a high pitched shhhk came from his wrist. Looking down again, he noticed a small hidden dagger had made itself known to Nase after he squeezed his hand again."(Another upgrade?!)"Immediately panicking once it happened, he tried to gently pull the blade from inside his sleeve, until he realized that the blade was a part of his arm. Even more shocked by this, he immediately tried pushing it back in to no avail. Walking as to hopefully make it less conspicuous, he became more and more frustrated with himself trying to remove the surprise shiv from his person. As this continued, his power level started to rise slowly until it reached a cool 50. Noticing this change, he stopped what he was doing and started breathing deeply to calm himself down. As his readable energy lowered back to 10, Nase realized that the blade disappeared as fast as it appeared, causing him to sigh in relief. "(Why couldn't this thing just come with instructions?!)"Realising the strangeness of calling his body (and therefore, himself) a 'thing', Nase decided to switch focus and just go to the nearest restaurant or similar business that he saw. Circumstantially, as he changed roads, he noticed a large building in front of him. A large sign at the front read Capsule Corp™ and a bunch of flashing lights were going off from inside. Whatever it was, it seemed too dangerous for him to find out, so he opted to move onwards. Luckily for him, he didn't have to go too far until he saw a shop."Daruma Tea and Coffee..."Pulling his hands out of his pockets, he slowly walked towards the shop where a person was standing. "Uh... Hello, is this place open? Haven't had anything for a while."Waiting for an answer, Nase peered inside of the building and ended taking an extra longs look at the area around him. It was a pretty nice place, much nicer than the badlands he just left yesterday. Especially since he's not fighting for his life anymore. While he was still standing outside, Nase noticed that there were multiple people on the road, even including two people that were fighting in an alleyway nearby. Sighing now, he turned back to the stranger and pointed towards them with his thumb."Actually, can I just come inside? this isn't the safest place right now to stay and chat, 'cause of them."WC: 770 TWC: 770 Bonus: 25% for 1 month

Clove turned around, she heard a voice behind her while she test tasted coffee, her crimson red eyes looked over at the young man who explained himself as he entered. It was not uncommon to open up a coffee shop as early as 5am due to the employees at capsule corp requiring their coffee so early in the morning. If it appeared empty this early in the morning, the fact that the sun was out meant the coffee rush was over, as most of the customers arrived before the sun was even out. The tea princess was dressed in a white oxford blouse, black skirt, sheer black stockings, and kitten heel pumps. A tan apron was neatly tied at her hips, with the daruma mon embroidered on the corner of the hem line, she placed the porcelain cup down, clasped her black gloved hands and slightly bowed towards Nase. “Welcome to Daruma Tea & Coffee, follow me to your seat.” Clove escorted the young man to a corner alcove away from the windows, “Are you alright?” The tone of her voice was different now, she was concerned for his choice of words earlier, and she assumed he was in some sort of trouble. “My name is Clove Tea, I am the owner of this cafe, if you’re in some sort of trouble I will gladly be of assistance. West City has laws in place that everyone must adhere to. While I am not a vigilante, I am well renowned as a member of my clan, and an entire legal team is at my disposal. What is your name? How may I be of service?”It was beneath her status as a Princess from the western lands to offer her assistance, outside of her homeland she was no one of importance to a complete stranger, and the fact that she could not detect his ki signature peaked her interest. Clove had been living a carefree lifestyle, allowing others to shape her fate, and providing help to those who asked her. Being socially adept, aided her in crossing the paths of capable martial artists, and while most of those encounters had been with saiyans it was refreshing to meet someone who was not. “Can you read my ki signature? Usually, whenever someone detects mine, they either stay away, or divert their attention towards me. There is a great benefit in exposing my power level openly and that is to say it keeps dangerous situations from taking place or it begins one. I do not mind it either way, it gives me a reason to practice with my sword, or make new friends.” Her black gloved finger tips touched the platinum sword brooch chained at her collar over a black tie. “Would you like to look over the menu? We have over a hundred varieties of tea imported from the western lands and special coffee that grows over spiritual ore.”
A menu was slid over to the surface of the table top of the alcove booth as she stood by to listen to all of Nase’s answers. [512]

Coffee and donuts… hm, well, Waka never considered her any kind of cafe fiend, but it was growing on her, she had to admit. Usually she ended up at far less fancy spots than this, though… it was kind of overwhelming, at first, but now she’d settled in. This would be her third visit, as well as her earliest. It was her first time trying the tea, too. She considered herself an experienced glutton, b-but when she’d seen that huge menu for the tea varieties, w-well… it seemed even she had her weaknesses. What was a ‘breakfast tea’, anyway? Only one way to find out… gotta try them all.
This morning’s blend – Western Heritage’s ‘Breakfast by the Futon’. A dash of milk, with bright, aromatic flavour; and some fragrant herbal notes to give it a more refreshing and less savoury taste… it wasn’t bad. Not exactly a meal on its own like some people had said to her, but it definitely wasn’t bad. Admittedly, she didn’t worry too much about the tea. Maybe she was a philistine, but the buns were the real star here. Lamingtons to die for, too… oh, and the waffles! Heavenly!
While the newspaper was the centre of her attention in her little booth by the middle of the small store, Wakana did notice all that boasting from the waitress. Good grief. And people said she could come on hard sometimes. ”Take it easy. If there’s trouble outs'de right now, it’s prob'bly the Cooks… they got in the newspapers yesterday, so they’re no doubt w'rried about their rep'tation right now… so, unless you’re hiding colours under that shirt, you’re prob'bly fine.” Admittedly, Waka wasn’t sure at all, but it was an educated guess – and with plenty of ulterior motives as well. The Cooks were far less scary than the West City’s other movers and shakers, so she’d rather give them the benefit of the doubt. They were much easier to bully.
”Intr'ducing yourself to a customer with your sword b'fore the menu seems like a bad policy, though…” Well, maybe Waka just didn’t like braggarts. Or maybe she was a bit jealous. Either way, she was in a chattier mood than usual this morning, after such a messy night; and she didn’t really want the waitress to interrupt her morning by throwing a sword around or screaming while powering up, either. Saiyans, sheesh. That said, she wasn’t ignorant to the sheer presence of the lady… she’d surely be creamed by her, but still. Tossing around your ego like that was bad behaviour – wasn’t proper for a girl! ‘An entire legal team’, seriously… what was she doing as a waitress, then?
Finally folding up her newspaper, the heavy fox gave a heavy sigh – ”But, it’s okay, puppy. I want a peaceful morning, too, so you can hide behind me for a while.” she rumbled, her usual expressionless look making it impossible to tell how snide she was being. In truth, she was just feeling a little more altruistic – waffles had that effect on her. And, this boy seemed like he was the reasonable type. A little rough around the edges, but that was fine. At worst, he was just a young punk who’d gotten in too deep, and Waka could definitely feel some pity for even that. ”…I’d recommend the pastries, though. You should enjoy whatever peace you can get, right?”

Luther's vehicle had strolled into the large and industrious city, with his rotund agent, Bigby in the driver's seat, and Luther deeply engulfed by his very own thoughts. He had been thinking hard about multiple things in the past few days, mostly being his career, his future and some other things also, that shall not be listed for now. The taller of the two was lazily staring out of the window of his newly bought vehicle, watching as the early morning passersby went about doing what they usually do, milling about the place and figuring out where they wish to go. At this point, all Luther could hope for was a bit of peace in his life for once. Shit hit the fan while he was down in the Southern Islands, and lots of things happened down there. He at least hoped that his car would avoid destruction from some random crazy person for at least a month. Maybe that would bring him happiness in these trying times.
Anyways, he was in the hover car with his loving friend and agent, making a bit of small talk to pass the time. Bigby had absolutely refused to take his eyes off the road ahead, as he recalled clearly in his mind what had happened the last time he took his eyes of the road. Long story short, a lawsuit took place shortly after the 'incident', and it ended up even contributing to Luther's later forceful expulsion from his apartment in the archipelago in the south. That was not to happen again. As the two had their dialogue, Luther had spotted a coffee shop on one side of the road, which the rapper had assumed was just opening. Maybe some coffee is what the android needed to take his mind off of a few things. Maybe get his system running, too. Sure, he was mostly a mechanical being, but he still was derived from a human form. Good 'ole coffee never hurt anyone, after all. He beckoned to Big Dog to let him off here.
"You don't have to follow me in here, either. You can go look after that apartment we were planning to rent and all that. I think I'll grab me a warm morning drink."
Bigby wordlessly nodded, and took off with the vehicle then. Luther had stepped in the store shortly after a freakishly tall fox woman did, and casting a short glance at her while entering, he had taken up a random seat, near to the supposed waitress for obvious reasons. Of course he had heard a majority of what was being said, and he openly frowned while staring down at the table. It certainly did sound a lot like boasting, but the man offered no dialogue. The fox woman gave her thoughts on the matter however, and she wasn't wrong. Interestingly, he had noticed that the one in the waitress' uniform had mentioned something about a clan. He had heard of certain groups such as those, but at the same time... curiously, his energy sensors searched around for the multiple power levels in the store. The woman... certainly did have a bit of power. But either way, it didn't matter all too much. He sat down quietly without a word, casting a sideways glance at the boy. He idly wondered what exactly had happened with him. Clearly, he had gotten into some sort of trouble. With some gang called the 'Cooks', possibly? Hell, Luther didn't know.

Thankful that the owner was allowing him inside, Nase was surprised at the offer she made to him as he entered. Her taking care of people? Entire legal teams? What kind of person was she? As she asked for his name, he noticed another figure appear behind him and turned to see them. As he did, he found himself having to look up to see their face, which he noticed was in a very cold disposition towards him.
"Uh... Nase. You can call me Nase."
Turning back to his host (partially out of fear), he heard the intimidating woman speaking from behind as she went removed the newspaper from her face. She spoke on how a low-level gang attacking the area to garner a higher 'reputation'. Sighing in relief, he turned to the foxgirl and thanked her, though still awkward towards her.
"...Thanks. I'm not necessarily in any danger at the moment. Or at least I think... I'm just... being on edge, I think. Then again, I recently got this from some shady guys."
Nase slowly took out the Arcane Orb from behind him and showed the others. The galaxy design of the sphere glistened in the light and a small amount of energy started coming off of it as it did so.
"I had a... interaction with a group of thugs and when they tried to escape, their leader handed me this. I don't know what it does... but I know that whatever it was, those guys thought it was valuable enough to hide. I guess it wasn't that much if they ended up trying to bribe me with it."
Quickly returning it to his jacket, he heard the beastwoman speaking again after giving off a sigh. She said that he could 'hide behind her' and though her face didn't change, he could sense that she wasn't being entirely genuine. Becoming flustered by her and the use of the word puppy, Nase began to try and think of something to say other than '... yeah' when the other woman, who had revealed herself to be Clove Tea, asking him another question.
"Sensing ki... is a 50-50 for me. I usually have to focus to use it, and something weird normally happens when I do it."
Listening to her explain the bonuses of using her full power all the time, Nase nodded intently and understood what she meant, but had an explanation for his own position.
"(I probably shouldn't tell them I'm an android.) I get what you mean, but with my condition... it's not as simple. The power level you're seeing now is the amount that I can naturally release. Let me try and sense, though."
Closing his eyes tightly, Nase began focusing his energy around the room, trying to find energy signatures around him. Almost immediately his senses were swarmed by the large power levels surrounding him. The strength of the two figures next to him became visible to him as his own power began seeping through as well. His head slowly turned towards Clove and a more robotic voice came from him as he whispered to himself.
"...Too Dangerous."
After all of his power had been released around him, he tilted his head over his shoulder.
"There's a third."
He opened his eyes again and his power level went back to zero again. Rubbing his head, he spoke again, returning to his normal voice.
" Yeah, I can see what you mean by your power level being a good deterrent. Yours too (even though it didn't really seem humanoid). But... who are you?"
He turned his head to the door and saw the man who had recently entered while they were talking. Nase realized that he must have been there when he showed them the mysterious orb from earlier and instantly got worried, his hand twitching as he stopped the blade in it from appearing again.
"(This guy better not be here for the orb.)"

“Well, given that I am the owner, the policies are drafted by me.” Clove remarked at Wakana, making quick direct eye contact with her, knowing she overheard their conversation from two booths away, it was rude to listen in to other people, especially since this young man approached her from the start. She turned her attention back to Nase and listened to his explanation; he was welcomed to the idea of trusting the others who were in the cafe, showing an orb for them to see.
“Nice to meet you, Nase.” Her crimson eyes narrowed slightly then rebounded as she peered at the orb in his hand, “Is that an arcane orb? I have seen my sister possess one like it. Given the circumstances, it is probably stolen, the real owner must be somewhere close.”
After some thought, she realized that there were some thugs who would steal things, hand it over to an unsuspecting bystander, then reclaim it once the heat was off their trail. It would be best to turn it into the police or find the original owner. However, before she could offer this advice a new customer came in, the bell at the door chimed as he entered, and Clove turned around to greet Luther with a slight head bow.
“Welcome to Daruma Tea & Coffee, will you be dining in, or ordering out?” Clove smiled, in the corner of her eye she noticed Nase nervously hide the orb, perhaps the ruffians that were after him were similar to the new customer. The tea princess, not afraid of anyone, handling herself like it was any ordinary day, and waited for this man to answer about his order at her business.

Luther had kept a good eye locked onto the sight of the kid over there, intently observing him. There was something... off about this uh, 'Nase'... but the rapper couldn't tell what. It was obvious that he was nervous about something, and it probably had something to do with that item he was hiding. Luther didn't know what it was, and it only served to make Luther curious about him. Maybe all this quick yet intense thinking was making the boy shifty. He had continued to stare hard at the child even when the waitress had come across to him. He blinked once before he had replied to the woman standing over him.
"I uh, guess I'll be dining in."
On any regular day that Luther enters an establishment for a cup of coffee, he would normally just take what he entered the store for, and leave, but today, today was different. He was... well, let's say interested in the business of this boy. He sounded like he was in trouble, and in addition, there was something off about this situation. It wasn't everyday that you heard of something like this. Through his own sea of thoughts, the big man finally deciphered the mental puzzle he had created for himself. He finally discovered what was off about the kid. He... didn't have an energy signal. So it was a robot. Just like Luther was. But then what was the case? Was he running away from his own creators or some weird stuff like that? He had taken an interest in the boy here, and he intended to investigate it further.
Big Dog's probably gonna wonder where the hell I'm at. But he's waited before. He can wait again. Ain't got nothing better to do, anyways.
What was this kid's deal?

The waitress seemed immediately annoyed by Waka’s interjection – alas, that sort of rudeness just rolled off of the fox like water off a duck. Like wheat off a fox? Something like that. She didn’t even quite realise she was being scolded. Far more interesting was that boy’s reaction. Very cute. He looked like a sheep among wolves right now, really. Even moreso when that new face was added to the mix… he either looked like a wannabe, or a made man. Hard to say. Best not to find out, either. Both were dangerous enough. She would have liked to leave it there, buuuut it was too tempting to cause a little trouble. And, in spite of her best instincts, she was kind of curious. Or maybe she wanted to rile up the waitress a bit more. ”Hey, if you’re keepin' your head down, then you should keep it down prop'rly. Come sit down here, puppy, and you’ll bl'nd in bett'r. I don’t mind a lunch date, now 'nd then.” Alas, Wakana could only say that with her usual blank expression… the smirk she was wearing inside would have made her intentions much clearer to Nase. ”Big L can play too, if he wants. Safety in numbers, and all that. It ain't my cafe.””That thing, though… hm, here in Central, tech comes b'fore that sort of stuff. If you w'nna pawn it off in a hurry, then you’re better off in the West or South, I’d say. You might be able to find a decent prize on the outskirts, though.” Perhaps not the most constructive input, but it was as much as Wakana knew. ”But. You should get your ki check'd out. Ev'ryone has a different style, but… if that’s a new probl'm, then you should talk to s'meone about it. ’s important to your health and stuff, you know?”For a moment, Waka opened her mouth again – but decided against it. She was pretty sure she couldn’t teach her meditation routine to someone out of the blue, and it was a weird offer in the first place. S-She had a reputation to maintain! ”Still. It’s just an orb. It’s yours now. If 'nyone big’s after it, you’ll hear about it in no time. Otherwise, you may as well hold onto it.” rumbled the lady, giving a carefree shrug; ”There’s a saying, right? ‘Take life by the orbs’. No, no… ‘When life gives you orbs, make’… ah, nev'rmind.”Regardless, she really would sidle along her booth to let Nase sneak in if he was keen – for all her teasing, she wasn’t about to give him too much trouble. And, he was entertaining so far. Dinner and a show. Though, admittedly, Waka didn’t exactly leave an awful lot of room for him to sit. ”Your suppr'ssion’s impr'ssive, if nothin' else. It’s like looking at a tin can. Kinda wish I could do that some days.”

Nase, who was quickly coming to his senses again from using his ki, started to calm down once the man he sensed didn't make any sudden moves towards him or the others in the Cafe. Sighing, he fixed his jacket and returned to his calmer disposition.
"(Come on... Calm down already. Not everyone is an enemy, you idiot.)"
Returning to reality, he heard Clove, the person he spoke to first, speaking on how the real owner may be close by and that got him thinking again.
"Hmm... Probably, I am not sure if I could do that. Eh, it... should be fine..."
He didn't really believe that.
Nase heard Clove offering something behind him and noticed that she was giving him a menu to look through.
"Thanks. Sorry, I'm a little disoriented."
As Clove went to greet to the new guy, Luther, he began to look over the menu when he heard a voice pipe up from behind him again trying to get his attention once again. Her voice reminded him of his original embarrassment and he felt his face become warm again. When he turned, she offered him a seat and at her booth, seemingly both teasing him and concern at the same time. She used her pet name for him again, causing him to lose it even more. Now exchanging fear for embarrassment, he walked over to Wakana while visibly blushing, despite his darker complexion.
"(She's definitely being smug with me... but, I should actually end up getting help from others if I want to get stronger anyway.)"
Swallowing his pride, he went over to the blank-faced woman, mentioned that selling the orb may not be the best option in the Central Lands and instead should try selling it somewhere else. He thought about it for a second, before answering.
"I'm not sure if I'd sell it..."
Before he continued, Nase thought about how Clove mentioned her sister owning one. If she's the Yakuza Princess she sounds like, that would mean the orb could be of use too. Strange. The glint of greed then appeared in his eyes as he began to think about how much he could sell it for.
"Unless..."
Shaking the thought away, Nase looked back down and was shocked to see that she had moved over to the side of the chair. Was she really being genuine? Before he could think about it, Nase found himself sitting down on the booth chair, once again feeling Wakana's overwhelming presence on him. This only made him blush more. Trying to ignore it, he quickly ordering a simple lavender tea and some pastries, something to distract him a bit. Nase glanced back at his taunter, who seemed like she was going to say something, but thought against it in the long run.
"(What have I gotten myself into?)"
Nase looked towards Luther again and tried to figure out what was going on with him. He obviously wasn't here for the Arcane Orb, since he hadn't done or said anything yet. He wasn't just a random guy here either, since he had been taking glances over towards them during the conversation. It seemed to Nase that he was just there to watch, which only made him feel more upset. He didn't like the idea of being a spectacle that much. Worst off, when Nase sensed his ki, he felt a form of familiarity from Luther, despite the obvious differences. Luther's amount of energy seemed... off to Nase. His bulky form and stereotypical gangster clothing told Nase that he's either really good at withholding his power level... or he's also an android. 'There is another,' a voice in his head quietly said.
Snapping out of his thoughts, Nase turned when he heard Wakana start speaking again. She tried to come up with a saying to explain her point, but couldn't really find one. Nase had to admit that he found it kind of funny.
"Heh, something like that."
After a short while, she changed the subject to his 'condition' once again, causing Nase to slowly ball his hands so no one could see the hatches on the ends of them. The topic specifically landed on his suppression. She equated it to looking at a tin can, which only made him feel more exposed. Then, he heard her mention that she wishes she could do that as well, making Nase very confused. He was going to say something, when he remembered scanning the area around the tea shop. When 'he' saw her energy signature, he saw something that didn't seem really human to him. A sort of... hungry feeling emanating off of her, and that may be what she was trying to hide. A thought in his head also started to equate her size to this hungry feeling, but he quickly dismissed the idea as quickly as it appeared. "(Don't be an ass, Nase.)"
"D-don't worry about me. Physically, I'm fine. But... You want to be able to conceal your power like this? How come? You seem very powerful, a-and you're pretty strong if I saw your ability correctly. Why would you want to hide that?"
At the point that Nase got his food, he'd begin to start spinning the spoon in the tea while holding his head with his other hand, looking down.
"Besides, I'm not that good on talking about myself that much, so it wouldn't be so bad to hear about you guys, would it?"
Looking back at Wakana for a second, Nase leaned back in the chair and stretched his arms in relief. Taking up a pastry by the edge, he pointed it to Wakana and slowly tilted his head to the side.
"Want one?"

Nase was lured from the corner booth to Wakana’s booth in the middle of the dining area to continue their conversation, including giving him a nickname of puppy, which compelled Clove to chuckle softly shortly after the beast woman spoke the word and she turned away to attend Luther. While he chose to dine in and was fully engaged in the conversation with the present patrons it was only prudent that he also take his seat at the booth to join in. It was not typical to sit with a total stranger but a sense of justice lingered among them all to help a young man who was distraught by his predicament while everyone present had a piece of advice to offer for him to choose from. With a slight bow Clove turned on her heel to prepare everyone’s orders, Waka still had not eaten everything on the table but she was almost done with the cup of the morning’s blend, a second cup was brought over for her along with Nase’s lavender tea, and a third cup with black coffee was procured for Luther which was placed in front of the empty seat at the booth.
“I took a wild guess, that you are here for coffee?” Clove held Luther’s gaze and recollected Wakana calling him Big L despite not divulging his name at first, “Hmm, you look familiar. Ah, it has been a while since I have been in Oolong City, but I have seen posters of your live concerts which is where I recognize you from but I do not recall your name?”
At present the Tea princess did not know Wakana’s either but she figured she would over hear it eventually as soon as Nase made a decision on what to do with the orb.

Big L? Did she... guess that? Luther felt more than suspicious about that massive fox lady over there for a few limited seconds, before he remembered that the cap he was currently wearing had a massive "L" printed on it. Automatically, his hand wandered up to the brim of the cap, in order to adjust it slightly. Luther should've left the place by now, but there was something about this kid's story that made the rapper obligated to stay. He may or may not have heard of or maybe even have encountered this so called 'gang' before, but that was simply wild speculation. What really drew Big L's attention was not only the fact that this kid was an android but that orb as well. The kid looked attached to it, and it could be what's attracting unwanted attention to him. Perhaps...
Luther opted to not think too hard about it just yet. He didn't feel like prying too deep. The waitress had attended to his wants, and as she returned with the default, boring black coffee, she mentioned seeing the artist somewhere else before. So someone did notice him. That made him happy. At least he knew that his career hasn't totally plummeted in infamy since that incident. Then again, he wasn't exactly that hard to forget, given his body structure and typical demeanor. He chuckled a bit, before taking a sip out of his mug.
"It's Luther, actually. Haven't been to a live performance in a while now."
He was eyeing that orb that Nase held on to, taking an obvious interest in it. The kid seemed as if he both wanted to keep it and didn't want to keep it simultaneously. It was truly a miserable dilemma to be caught up in. Then there was that fox woman over there. She was offering help somewhat to the boy, and she didn't look skeptical about anything. She mentioned Nase being exceptional at concealing his energy, and that made Luther rethink his former outlook on the boy. Sure, he could be a regular human rather than an android. Not only that, but her sudden nicknaming of the man would lead to Luther asking something. With a tone filled with obvious curiosity, he voiced an abrupt question.
"What's that supposed to mean, ferret? Kid's in some hot water, isn't he?"
Sure, he did little to hide his interest for the orb. But he was Either way, he'd continue speaking, specifically to the boy.
"If the orb is causing you so much trouble, why hold onto it? Hell, if you want to protect that piece of junk, I'd probably be more suited to doing so. Why is it so important, anyways?"
Implying that he was most likely stronger than the boy was, and therefore more capable of protecting the item, Luther took another sip of his near tasteless drink. He was asking way too many questions out of the blue, but he expected answers for them all. Despite the thought of Big Dog lingering in the back of his head, he remained here.

Now, this was better than breakfast. For now, Wakana’s tea came second to her entertainment – gradually, the fox’s stoic expression shifted just a bit; the edges of her lips turning up in a tiny hint of a smile. The young man’s blushing and stammering was all too amusing to her… suffice to say, most people just gave her odd looks when she teased them too much! He was a bit taller than her strike zone, but… still, not bad at all. She didn’t get to play around as much nowadays.
She was only more pleased when the boy actually accepted her invitation and sat down with her! Leaning back in the booth, she tried to give him as much room as he could… which was admittedly a little bit of a struggle, but she did her best! ”Aw, don’t be like that. I’m nothin’ sp’cial, puppy. I’m just ‘nother two-bit thug, y’know.” replied Waka, waving away his comments on her power level; ”I’d rather go ‘nder the radar, most of the time. It’s not like I can ‘void stand’ng out from a crowd ‘s it is, though.”
While she still had some scraps of her own ludicrous breakfast – though only Clove would know about that – Waka was never going to turn down an offer of food. It made it sweeter, right? And gave her an excuse. Though, as she reached over, Nase would probably begin to realise just how big the fox was… the bagel looked tiny in her hands, and being close up like this made the foot between them even more pronounced. Among other things. ”Hrm. Someth’ng about me, huh? I’m just a punk fr’m up north… nothin’ special. Oh, and, Wakana Waka… that’s my name. I’m big, and that’s ‘bout it. But, bein’ big… it’s pretty nice, huh?”
Thank goodness no one could see her tail wagging right now.
Giving a nod to Clove as her second cup of tea arrived, Waka gave a gentle sigh; enjoying the atmosphere. She kinda just wanted to nap a bit, even after her tea… ah, but her eyes fluttered open again as Luther introduced himself and join the conversation. ‘Ferret’, huh? Cute. She liked that one. ”He’s prob’bly jump’ng at shadows around here, but trouble‘s trouble. Bes’des, I don’t have a clue. That orb could be a relic or a bomb or somethin’ for all I know… m’gic or technol’gy; I don’t know a thing about either.” rumbled the beastman, glancing in the man’s direction; ”I get the feel’ng that puppy here wants to tough’n up on his own terms, though. Or, maybe he’s real tough ‘lready… I guess I wouldn’t be able to tell, huh?”

As Nase sat in the booth, he noticed that Luther had definitely been staring at him during their conversation. He either had found out that Nase was an android, or he was trying to figure out the orb himself. Nase thought to himself if he did find out, what would he even do? Try and silence him? Deny it? Neither option seemed like a good idea, worst of 'Big L' looks like he'd thrash him in a fight if he went with the first option. Well, at least he hasn't said anything about it. Nase turned back to Wakana and heard her denying the compliment she was given earlier. "A thug? Hm, you don't really look the type."Fortunately for Nase, he started to get over his tenseness as his teaser vocalized her wish for the ability to hide sometimes, even though ki alone wouldn't be enough. After she spoke, she noticed his offer of the treat and readily accepted it. Nase noticed the small, but still prominent smile appear on her face which started to make him smile as well. She leaned over from her side of the booth (that he noticed she pushed herself into) and came over to take the food from him, towering over as she did so. The food looked tiny compared to the delinquent beastman, and so did Nase. Looking directly into her eyes, he felt the hungry aura of energy coming off, along with her uncommon smiling at him made Nase start to sweat again. And that was just from her face. Welp, there goes any confidence he had before. After taking the food, she began thinking about how to describe herself, which gave Nase time to try and undo the massive amount of blushing that had started from the brief closeness. After she introduced herself properly, Nase heard her mention three specific things. One of which being her homeland. "Wait... you're from the northern lands too?"He never thought that he would meet someone this far from home that could have been someone he knew back then. While he was thinking that, he also remembered that his family didn't visit many villages with him, so he even then, he probably wouldn't have known others. The second thing of note was her name, which he was surprised that he never even got before. The third was her size. "Yeah... Big is good." After this, she seemed very pleased with herself while Nase tried to regain composure. "(Come on, man! You aren't normally like this.)"After the repeated back-and-forth between the Majin hybrid and Tuffle Bot, the supposed cyborg, Luther, ended up speaking. He did so while referring to Nase's new friend(?) as 'Ferret', which stunned him for a second. Expecting some kind of confrontation from this, Nase was surprised to see Wakana instead scoffing at this nickname. Guess people had thicker skin than he thought. The cruder of the two then asked if Nase was in trouble, which made him wave the thought off this time. "No no, I'm alright now. I'm just laying low for a couple of seconds before I go out into the world again. I've already beaten the group before, so I'm just avoiding another brawl... Then again, I wouldn't mind getting stronger or something in the meantime."Hearing this, Luther told him that if he wanted someone to take care of it, it'd be easy for him to take care of it. Nase looked at Luther and tried to get a view of his aura, much like what he got from Wakana. "(Oh Lovely, a threat.)"Luther's aura, as observed by Nase, was a very aggressive and wild aura that wasn't DIRECTLY aimed at him, but Nase didn't want to try and see what it was like on the wrong side of it. Even so, he also didn't want to let go of it already. Can't really make up your mind, huh?"Giving it up to someone is probably a good idea... but it feels like giving up, you know?"Pushing his hands through his hair, he tried to explain himself properly to Luther, which was hard as he wasn't used to many civil conversations. "It's sort of like... admitting like I wasn't strong enough to do it on my own. I'm not saying that I'm that strong or anything, but... you gotta have an idea on what I'm saying... right? It doesn't feel that good, ego-wise."
Slowly downing the rest of his tea, Nase shook his head and adjusted his jacket, discretely revealing a metal plating on his neck to anyone who would notice. "I don't know if I'd even keep it afterwards anyway. As of now, I've just been worrying with getting stronger."

“My name is Clove. Nice to meet you Luther.” She said while he drank his coffee, it was black, there was milk and sugar on the table. The lack of reaction from drinking the beverage without additives either meant he was unable to taste it or it was not a strong enough brew.
Clove addressed everyone at the booth, “Is there anything else you would like to add to your order?” Her best customer service smile lingered on her face, she watched Wakana eat a bagel that fit like a ring on her finger compared to her physique, and she thought about her own pig beast man family who could eat five times what she had ordered originally. It was possible beastmen in general had ravenous appetites, the tea princess was a quarter of her ancestral animal race, and was more particular about the taste of food rather than having her fill; she still required a balanced meal as a martial artist. It was then that she caught the beast woman’s name and nodded attentively before turning over to Nase.
“Taking responsibility is fine and all but you should not be putting your life at risk so easily because of that. It’s best to come up with a plan and make the best next move.” The crimson eyed demoness assured Nase as she waited for additional orders to help them settle in.

Luther took a long lasting sip out of his coffee mug as he took what the boy said into consideration. It sounded like an inflated ego to him, despite the boy's stammerings, and when it came to inflated egos, Luther was quite the expert. Before his confrontation with that blue eyed monkey months ago, Luther's head was figuratively bigger than his body. He let his status and strengths fill his head, and it felt like walking on helium. In the end, it ended in disaster for the rapper, but that was incredibly situational. Situational and very specific. Either way, he knew that carrying a gallon of pride at all times wasn't always necessarily a good thing. He ceased sipping his coffee for a moment, disregarding the offer made by the waitress temporarily.
"Sounds like a whole lotta pride to me."
The big man silently noted the glint of a metal plate on the boy's neck. He was now one hundred percent sure of it. The boy was a mutual cyborg. Although, Luther reasoned that if the kid wasn't hiding that fact, he'd have most likely said so already, especially considering what the fox woman had said to him. But did he need to hide it? Whether he was an android or not did not matter, did it? He shook his head as he finished speaking. If he had to reason out whether he should make sure or not, it was probably best to keep quiet about it for now.
Another thing to note was the boy's desire to begin getting stronger. Standard for anyone who wanted to defend themselves in this ass pile of a world. Luther himself was striving for that, to one day accomplish the long term goals he set for himself on his departure from the Southern Islands. Luther continued solemnly.
"Getting stronger sounds good on paper, but seeing as how you've been avoiding these 'thugs' for so long makes me think that you ain't strong enough yet. Being able to defend yourself is a required ability in whatever situation you're in right now, and I don't even know if you're capable of that."
He leaned forward slightly as he talked. "But I'm sure that I am." He added in his thoughts. He realized that if anyone else other than those 'thugs' Luther referred to got their hands on the orb, then those criminals would most likely be after them. Were they dangerous, or were they just another group of bandits? Goddamnit, he was trying to pry, wasn't he? He had so many questions that he refused to ask, not that he expected an answer, anyways.
