Admittedly, Zam was right. Fighting was fun, but – getting hurt wasn’t fun. Losing wasn’t fun. While Waka felt like she’d already said that, she felt the need to backpedal more as the Majin lost so much steam… u-ugh, she wasn’t good at this stuff! ”W-Well, yeah… but, y’know, it’s like… somet'mes…” began the girl, painfully awkward as soon as she opened her mouth, but yet still desperately trying to think faster than she could speak; ”It’s kinda fun, but brok'n arms aren’t so fun… hm, well, I guess I recov'r quicker than a lot of people, but still, it kinda sucks… it’s not like how it is in the movies, you know? Plus, you never know when you could end up… well, when you can’t get back up again…”
Alas, while the heavy fox spiralled into darker matters, Zam spiralled the opposite way – for all her stoic demeanour, there was no way Waka was going to be prepared for this kind of… reception. She barely noticed the first poke, having grown a little used to her company’s tapping to get her attention; but the rest was considerably more distracting. On one hand, she didn’t really mind being toyed with; she was made of sturdy stuff! Anyone could figure that much out! But, she definitely wasn’t used to wandering hands, and for as much as she had pride in her unconventional looks, she wasn’t really sure of how to react.
For now, there was just a lot of blushing, but Waka didn’t chuck a tantrum… Zam was right, she was certainly bouncy. While many could claim to be curvy, Waka could claim to be pillowy. Perhaps it was no wonder she was so sturdy, it all probably just pinged off or couldn’t get through. ”Ah… r-right…” squeaked the fox, before finally being dragged into a hug – well, okay, it was more like Zam dragged herself in, but still! And, her review wasn’t wrong, either; Waka’s height and figure meant it was like hugging one of those giant plush toys, minus the ridiculous price tag. Unless she demanded dinner afterwards, anyway. It was probably a bit smothering, admittedly, but that was probably more thanks to Zam’s grip rather than the beastman’s efforts.
However, Waka herself still wasn’t sure of how to react for a good minute or so – she… hadn’t been given a hug for quite a long time. Between her thuggish demeanour and her constant disinterested expression, she’d gotten pretty used to being a loner regardless of her actual feelings. G-Geez, this Majin was throwing all sorts of wrenches in her gears. But, she couldn’t say she minded too much. Given a moment to compose herself, Waka would just reach around the smaller girl and, rather than just return the hug, instead pick her up and drop her into her own expansive lap. Much more comfy. Now she didn’t have to look down all the time. While a lot of people disagreed… she quite liked being big.
”You’re not bad yours'lf, bubblegum. Even if you are a bit tiny.” retorted Waka, with a glimmer of a smirk; ”So, what’s your plan after that big fight?” Admittedly, she was pretty sure she knew the answer – Zam probably hadn’t thought that far ahead. But, she wanted to at least try! ”I wouldn’t mind… I mean, I… y-yeah, I’d like to hang out again somet'me. Maybe with less prop'rty damage, maybe with more. I think I’ll be around the city for a decent while, s-so…”
For all her usual frankness… she wasn’t so good at this stuff… well, not after all that, anyway!

Hugs were nice. The small Majin only released her grip when she was picked up and plopped onto her big friend’s lap. Very comfy! She smiled brightly, basking in the praise. However, one word was met with a shocked look. Dramatic gasp! What totally untrue lies was her new friend spreading? No, she had to correct this injustice immediately. And she didn’t even know what that word meant. “I’m not tiny! I’m a big girl!” ...She insisted while looking like a child due to the sheer difference in size. No amount of puffing her chest and stretching her back could really close the gap. Her rubbery body snapped back to its usual shape within seconds anyway. At first, Zam gave her big friend a puzzled look. After the fight...? She cocked her head, pondering and wondering. “Hmmm... Ooh, I know!” Her smile sharpened into a crescent grin and her gaze burned with a spark of peculiar madness. “I wanna blow up the whole city! Back home all the villages are tiny and there’s not much to blow up... But this place is huge! So it’ll make a huge boom!” She threw her hands up in the air. Chilling honesty chimed in her voice. This was far from empty boasting. However, soon enough her tiny nose twitched and she peered into the distance, towards the scene of their daring heist. “Hm hm, or maybe get more ice cream...?” Uh... Right. The duality of Majin. Eventually the easily distracted creature snapped out of her thoughts. In the end, she just shrugged. “Hm, dunno!” She had never been the type to plan ahead. Rather, she latched onto ideas that she liked. “But we should totally do that hanging out thing!” Anything was more fun with friends after all. “Ooh, maybe I can bring all my other friends here and introduce them to you too! Then we could play games! Like Raiding Party or Hide and Go Boom! Good plan, great plan~!” There was just one thing she didn’t really get... “Hey, what does prop’rty damage mean anyway?” She mimicked the mumbled pronunciation pretty accurately. The complaint from Waka’s lap (the legendary lap couch, rather than lap pillow) made the vulpine girl stick her nose up – ”Hm… j'st a bit tiny, but tiny. Come back when you’re older.” Ah, but, Waka was just teasing… she’d just use her Giant Form if Zam actually did try and overshadow her. S-She wasn’t sensitive about her height, she was just proud about it! Though, the Majin might spy that tiny smirk as she tried futilely to make up for the difference. For as apathetic as she could come off of as, Waka had a rather odd sense of ego. Maybe that was just a Majin thing…
While the threat of destroying West City ought to be distressing, unfortunately Waka was about as misanthropic as her companion. Well, maybe less misanthropic and more apathetic. Between her experience in the North and now here, she couldn’t say she felt too much attachment to the place… and, well, people were nice and all, but she didn’t see why she ought to be the one saving the place. Zam could do what she likes. ”Yeah? It’d be one for the hist'ry books. Hrm, I guess it’d ruin some nice cafes, though. But, there’s 'lways more. I hear the West has nice places, too…” Both girls trailed off at that, though Zam’s musing just made Waka shake her head in amusement. ”Ice cream takes less eff'rt, at least. And, you can destroy loads of cities, but ice cream is never the same twice…!”
Alas, that hint of passion was gone again as the conversation slipped away from the philosophy of food. An appetite for destruction, one might say. ”Ah, Raiding Party isn’t bad, but it really comes down to the people you’re with. It can get too noisy for me, too. But, a nice, mod'st round of Raiding Party among friends… it’s not bad.” Nodding her head like this was some profound review, Waka then gave a slight frown – well, as much as one could even tell with her. ”Hide and Go Boom… that’s a new one to me. Um, but, I’m not very good at hid'ng…”
Thankfully, the fox couldn’t sulk for long. ”Eh, what do you mean… oh, property damage…? D-Do I sound like that?” Instead, she found something else to sulk about. The poor girl seemed genuinely surprised, awkwardly pointing at herself before deciding to move on – b-but, she wouldn’t be able to get that thought out of her head for a while. ”Err, it means… when some'ne breaks your house, then they’re a jerk. Somethin' like that.”
But then, Waka’s ears perked up – ech, now there was a noise she’d been dreading. Sirens in the distance… ah, see, that was a better name than any of Skittlez albums! ”I think… it may be time for me to tap out. I pref'r not to get beaten while on a full stomach.” Not the most heroic line, but certainly on-brand. ”And you… should stay out of juvie. Or… well, it doesn’ matt'r how old you are, I guess…”

Sometimes honesty could hurt. Completely oblivious to Waka’s surprise, Zam actually answered the question with eager nodding. “Yup yup~!” She squinted, mimicking the bigger Majin’s usual drowsy expression. Her voice slowed down a lazy drawl. “You soun’ jus’ like this... Nyeh heh hee~!” Well, her imitation was getting better. Or worse, depending on view. The playful teasing was about as tactful as getting bopped with a rolled-up newspaper. Clearly she lacked any sort of social filter. Then again, that shouldn’t have been any kind of surprise at this point. Again the childish creature learned a new term. Property damage. “Ooh, I see!” Her smile brightened. “I’m super good at property damage!” She had broken a lot of houses. And people who lived in them. Her gloating was cut short when a strange, tiny, whiny sound caught her attention. What was that anyway...? Oh well, didn’t matter! She was more interested in her new friend anyway. When Waka suggested tapping out and staying out of... somewhere... the pink powerhouse gave her a pondering look. She cocked her head so the thoughts would roll along better. Sooo, today she had... Gotten ice cream... Met a new friend... Blown stuff up... Hm hm, yup yup... Good day? Great day~! Zam promptly bounced off of the comfy lap sofa. “Hm, okay! If you don’t wanna fight, then you should go and take a nap.” Majin wisdom at its finest. She glanced around, antennae wiggling curiously. Hmm next... That-a-way! She twirled around and faced her new friend with a beaming smile. “Bye bye Miss Doggy~!” With a cheery wave and farewell the little Majin bolted off. Riding the sugar rush, she dashed across the park and soon vanished between the lush bushes. Her gleeful giggling faded into the wind. ...Wait, was she running towards the sirens? ...Yep. No doubt she was already off to cause more chaos. Buuut that would be a different story for a different time. WC: 329 | 4231 Natural PL at start: 9,990 Tags: Wakana Waka

Of all species, a fox was pretty high on the charts of animals that didn’t appreciate being bopped with a rolled-up newspaper… not that there were many that did appreciate, but still! For just a moment, the huge girl gave a genuine frown – w-well, maybe she shouldn’t take Zam so seriously! But, if she was really like that all day… ugh. Her precious vanity was slipping straight through her grasp. She didn’t mean to drawl…! Maybe she needed speech therapy… glancing aside, Wakana looked seriously flustered by the thought. Of all things to be a chink in her stoic demeanour… or, maybe she just wasn’t that stoic in the first place. ”Y-Yeah, well… well, well…!” blustered the lady, trying to think of a counter; ”Yeah, well, well… well…”
The fox was so caught up in her identity woes that she barely kept track of Zam’s further enthusiasm. At least she’d done a good job explaining things, but maybe the gumball was taking the wrong lesson from all that… ah well, it’d be entertaining nonetheless. She didn’t exactly have any personal feelings about property. Anyone who got that attached to a home was just a fool. But, she’d be thrown from any further thoughts as her unlikely partner-in-crime bounced back to her feet; leaving Waka blinking in surprise. S-She just couldn’t keep up with this girl…
”Ah, yeah, a nap sounds good. Are you – d' you ev'n live any… where…?” Alas, Zam was gone before Waka could even keep up with the conversation. The woes of taking things quite so easy. Hm, where would such a girl live? Oh well… the pink blur was off again, out on another adventure. Watching the sugary streak zip through the undergrowth, Waka couldn’t help but give a smile. Well, it’d been fun. For as much as she liked to take things slow, it was always nice to have some energy around too. And, no one had energy like a Majin.
It reminded her of a different time… ah, she felt a bit like a kid again.
The iconic sound of a siren squawking and stuttering before dying threw her out of her nostalgic stupor, though. If she knew anything from the few movies she’s caught up with… that was a bad sign. She’d had enough chase scenes for one day. Awkwardly standing up and trying to conjure up her composure again, Waka decided to take a quiet exit… hopefully next time she saw Zam it wouldn’t be in court… though, maybe they’d end up in the newspaper anyway.
Her back hurt, she was still peckish, she was kind of tired, and she felt a headache coming on… But, it’d been fun…
