With Toad Lily poking fun at Achido for the way he was chowing down the sushi, he just looked at him with a mouth full of food and grinned. Once he swallowed the food, he began to chuckle. "My parents were weirded out with how fast I ate too, but I can’t help it because it all taste so good!" He responded, before finishing up the meal. But when Toad Lily mentioned how Achido never thanked him for fixing him up after the spar with Cayle, he just smiled innocently. "Hey, I am sorry! But thank you, Mr. Toad Lily." He replied.
As Cayle Pota revealed that they would be going to Shu’s Hidden Village, and an underwater hotel, then the fact that little Nalta had requested to sing a song from ‘Pilaf and the Ningyo Princess’, Achido was absolutely thrilled and more than excited to tag along with his friends. "Wow, this is going to be the best day ever! Cayle, you really planned this one out, didn’t you?" He replied to his friend with excitement in the tone of his voice. Not only would he get to spend time with Ty and Konja, Achido figured that he might as well get to know Cayle better and possibly train too!
When Nalta stood and whispered in Ty’s ear, Achido looked at them with a soft smile, while hearing something about a Bunker, loot, and yar har har pirates? It was rather muffled, but cute nonetheless. Achido was happy to see everyone in such a great mood and happy to be around one another. His family was not like this one bit, they seemed rather distant with their jobs and responsibilities, which Achido understood fully.
With the check paid and everyone ready, Cayle began to lead the group to a tram system, so the young blonde man stood and followed the group. They had to rush because the tram system was on time, but with very little people around they made it inside just in time! Achido found a seat next to Ty and Toad Lily and nudged his best friend. "Hey, are you as excited as I am for all this fun that is planned?" He asked Tiger Lily, while noticing Cayle approaching them. Achido then looked to Konja and motioned for her to come sit next to him as well. "Come sit! I won’t bite too hard, I promise." He flashed a grin to the raven haired woman.
When Cayle looked to Achido, Tiger Lily, and Toad Lily specifically, he informed them that they did not have to go on the mission with Cayle, but it seemed important to his friend, and that alone made him want to go even more. The blonde man looked to the saiyan with the same smile as usual before responding. "I want to go, Cayle." He said, as he stood up from his seat for a moment, and placed his hand out for the saiyan to shake. "I consider you a good friend and I can tell that this is very important to you, so I will help you investigate that bunker." He added with a serious look on his face.
Achido had changed being inside that cured temple, causing him to see and feel things he could never imagine. The feeling of losing a loved one, while being unable to help. It was something he would never forget, which had made him decide to train to protect those he cared for most.
He sat back down in the seat, waiting for the tram to take them to Shu’s Hidden Village. With Cayle worrying about the Tuffle Bunker, he felt that it would be best for Cayle to relax a bit first at the village, then take on this mission with all his friends. Either way, He looked to Konja and nudged her arm. "What do you think about some training after all of this? I could really use a permanent sparring partner to sharpen my skills." Achido had gained much respect for Konja after all of the stuff they been through, in the short amount of time knowing one another.

A trip to an underwater water amusement park, some time on the beach... and then, a hunt - at least in her own mind, anyway - depending on the 'intel'. Konja had learned this was short for 'intelligence', and while that word itself was obvious enough, the quality of being intelligent, she had also learned, during her time in King Vegeta's Army, that it could also specifically mean knowledge and awareness of important matters. Whether the troop movements of an enemy clan or "nation", as the larger ones were called, or the presence of certain strategic weapons, intelligence always revolved around concerns with great significance to the war effort. This was thanks in no small part to her role as an intelligence asset herself, a scout, who would perform reconnaissance and gather intelligence concerning the Tuffles. Well, it was no wonder that Tara had already acknowledged Cayle as their King. Only a King was of sufficient power and influence to be giving commands that dealt on the level of intelligence. And what situation would require something as significant as intelligence? Knowing Cayle, there was only one such thing. Tuffles. They had escaped from one such bunker before, at the very beginning of this new life. They had fought pirates to find their way into another one. And now, it appears they have found a third beneath Emperor Pilaf's magnificent kingdom. Was the Emperor aware of such a travesty? If he was, there were two possibilities. Either he or some proxy provided the intelligence in question, or he allowed it to remain operational under his domain. The former would have been nice... but either way, she would be prepared for the latter possibility. The group concluded their feast and found their way to what was called a 'tram' station, where railed cars exchanged passengers at a rapid pace. It needed a little rush to catch one due to their busy nature, but nothing that couldn't be handled. After all, they moved so quickly it was impossible for crowds to form. The first thing to catch her eye once they were aboard was the familiar sleeping form of none other than Jack Pota, formerly Jack Aspic, lying down on one of the benches, evidently asleep. By virtue of having been experimented on just as badly as the Saiyans, even receiving a significant amount of Cayle's "blood" - not so much the literal crimson substance but the stuff of heredity itself, which the Tuffles were advanced enough to tamper with - he had been welcomed into the fledgling nation as Cayle's brother. And indeed, his rage at his betrayal by his own father, his own people, burned as brightly as that of any Saiyan. Konja gave him a poke with her loose finger. "Time to get up, Jack. We'll be underway soon."That was when Achido invited her over to sit next to him, joking about not biting too hard. A little smile crept up the corner of her mouth as she obliged, taking the offered spot with her own clumsy attempt of a quip. "That's fine. We can bite as hard as we want on our next spar." Which, not coincidentally, was the next topic her human friend brought up with her. It wasn't just about sparring again after the hunt's conclusion. Rather, he was inviting her to be his permanent sparring partner. Her eyes widened ever so slightly in response. That was what she sorely needed. Not that the others in the newly rising Kingdom weren't adequate. But she knew that Cayle wanted her to grow strong, to be able to survive in any situation, to be able to rescue their people from the clutches of the enemy. To not have to wait for someone to open up a slot - and that could take a while - was an excellent opportunity. Yamoshi's blessing, even. "I'd love to. It looks like you've gained a lot of experience in that temple. I just know we can learn so much from each other in a stable partnership!" Yes. Someone she could spar with, grow with. It was a partnership of two worlds, in a way. Konja brought with her what she knew of Clan Korm's martial arts... and a bit of the knowledge taught by King Vegeta's Army. Achido carried his knowledge of Earthling martial arts. Their skills and abilities would complement each other quite nicely. 727/2396 Achido Warr Ty Jack Pota

"Hmm-uh? O-oh, right. Sorry...I must have passed out." Jack replied with an embarrassed blush as he sat up straight in the wet suit he was currently in. He paid no mind to Konja not getting Achido's figure of speech, but he already had a lot on his mind at the moment. He'd definitely have a lot of work to do scientifically, when he finally gets access to a decent lab for their base of operations. Physicals were long overdue and something he's put off for a long time until now, but he'd have his hands for with medical examinations and decrypting all the data that they had already obtained from the prior facility. However, everyone here deserved to enjoy themselves and have fun with their own activities before the real work begins. When was it since he had some fun of his own? Besides the simulations he played in his childhood, he has none that he can remember besides the journey he has had thus far.
He then heard Achido speak of training with Konja, to which she had accepted along with mention of some sort of temple and Achido becoming stronger? Yes...he figured they'd all become stronger in such short time while he's been off on his own for his own purpose, only to find that his purpose was always there right in-front of him. He'd have to discover his own way to support them all and keep them safe if they fall into danger. "This...is my first time doing something like this. My entire life, I pretty much lived in a facility like that bunker, isolated from the outside world, under the watchful eye of that man… I suppose I'm now making up for lost time that was taken from me." Jack said as he folded his hands in his lap while he confessed openly. Humans...they really are a unique breed, aren't they?

It was an earth based royal who had helped give Cayle the information and Intel which they would be operating on, but it was not definitely his imperial highness, Pilaf himself. At least, not in any way that Cayle knew when he had begun fishing for information and put out bounties for people to look for specific signs. Without Carlos Alfonso's express permission as apart of Cayle and his fledgling clan of Saiyan's affiliating with Taco King, the restaurant empire had become a weapon of the clan of Pickles.
This wasn't about revenge, it wasn't just about righteousness. Everything that Cayle did was about making sure that he and his were not bothered by the Tuffles anymore. That they were such large threats that they were natural deterrents to aggression against them. This wasn't just about having the ability to live peacefully. It was about staying alive.
When Toad Lily mentioned staying above the water in the boat, Cayle nodded. Having a hospital ship to help them would be very useful for what they were going to do, and when Toad Lily mentioned teaching Ty about harnessing her ability to heal, the Saiyan would-be warlord raised an eyebrow. Looking the purple haired member of the Lily family, Cayle put his hand up and spread the fingers. He focused, and his hand glowed a light cyan, with energy and a spiritual goop like substance percolating between it. “Ty can use this technique too? Huh...” he had never heard of anyone using it before he had suddenly had the ability to, but now Ty could too. What did this mean? Another way they were connected.
“I don't know if we'll be so lucky, but you should prepare to deal with people who might have serious injuries or anthrophy. I don't know what we'll see down there, but I do know that with luck we'll find more of my kind stuck in cryostasis. We might even bring you back a pod to reverse engineer, Toad Lily.”
To Jack's words, Cayle said nothing. He expected a similar reaction, in general and there was nothing to be said about it. Jack was right in what he said, and the intelligent and tech smart Tuffle-Saiyan hybrid was a valuable asset to the mission but for anyone it might be a struggle to get them to be willing to do so. Even Nalta had shown some fear, and Cayle had been training her in the martial arts since they awoke on Mount Allion.
Soon, the groups would separate. Nalta would head along with Tiger Lily and Toad Lily, ordered to be Toad Lily's bodyguard by Cayle – and allowing the girl to say, “Well how is fixed the word for a dog that can't have puppies anymore? Isn't that a broken dog instead?” with puffed out cheeks after she thought yet again about what she had said. “Can't you make a Jack of Dogwood Lily then? A clone or spliced dog?”
Children. She also handed Ty and Toad Lily a communicator that Cayle had specially made and built. It worked off the technology of Tuffle Scouters, with some modern modifications, and was largely just a cordial band walkie talkie.
Cayle would meanwhile take Konja, Achido, Jack, Caul, Broclin, and Tara along with him to perform what would amount to be the strike team. They'd all head to a few pairs of rooms and change into swimsuits – regular beach going swimsuits, with haversacks of tools carried with some of them – and would head to a room at the bottom of the Towers which were the underwater docks for the submersible cargo boats.
“I've arranged for their to be a power outage twice. Once in two minutes, which should let us get out of the Submarine Docks without being noticed by any Pilafland security, we don't need that complication – and another set in fifty five minutes from now. If we're not ready to leave the bunker in fifty-five minutes we're just going to have to find another way. I've also arranged for one of these submersible cargo boats to 'accidentally' be lost for a time for us to use – this will give us a chance to leave more covertly if we end up finding so many other Pickles we can't just swim them free or fight them free.”

Toad Lily offered Achido a nod, in his profession as a doctor, gratitude was rarely expressed for his talent in fixing broken bones. Even with Cayle having the ability to heal, applying this ability on his friend, it still required a professional touch on the blonde human’s nose to position it back into place. The doctor was curious about the young man’s growth spurt, he seemed to have visibly aged significantly, and it would aid his findings in human studies. The dark circled Doctor remained silent standing by his niece. Nalta’s questions forced him to answer the green haired saiyan almost immediately, before allowing her mind to wander.
“Dogwood Lily had a surgery so that he could not have puppies with a mate. If cloning is an option, it would be the only method to have more than one pug of his kind and be related to him.”
Tiger Lily listened to Cayle explain the situation, she realized that their task was meant to be covert, only assuming the appearance of being in Pilaf land as tourists, and the group expressed interest for the park despite the seriousness of their mission. With a simple nod, she followed along with the plan, once they left the train, they split up into groups. Nalta, Toad Lily, and Tiger Lily would stand by to receive rescued Saiyans from the bunker while Cayle’s Team broke into the bunker without being followed by Pilaf Land security.
“Be careful, Cayle.” She managed to say after he left with everyone into a small building, it looked like a popsicle stand that was closed, and she could only assume the saiyan carefully planned every asset of the operation.
The ocean waves crashed into the cliffside, they were standing directly above an alcove, and the area was off limits from all the signs attached to the railing. However, Toad Lily’s ship was just a few meters away, the red headed teenager took Toad Lily’s hand, Nalta did the same to grab his other hand, and they flew over to the medical yacht with ease given that the little saiyan girl was capable of flying.
“You have been training quite a bit Nalta, there is no point in slowing down, now that you’re this strong.” Ty smiled as they released her uncle back on his feet, the ship had enough medical beds for twenty people, and a capacity of 50 occupants. In the back of her mind, she hoped it was enough, and she wondered if her paternal aunt would be one of the saiyans rescued.

Achido wasn’t really prepared for the mission, as he had no clue what they were even doing or why they were doing it. He just felt at home with his friends by his side, so that is why he stuck around with them. As he continued to sit next to Ty and Konja, the raven haired women responded to him about being sparring partners. His face lit up instantly and was more than happy to have Konja around more, especially if they were to work well together as a team. "That temple did more damage than good." He replied with a slight chuckle. "But that is something we can talk about in private. As for now, we should focus on this mission, then we can plan out a date to meet up and train!" The young man was excited to see how their future spars and friendship would turn out.
Once the train came to a halt, Achido looked around confused for a moment, but it seemed that everyone was breaking off into groups. The blonde teen would follow beside Konja and Cayle, making their way into a pair of rooms to change into swimwear. Achido had a plain white pair, with a black string that he tied tight, before grabbing up the necessary tools for the job. "Well, this should be fun, I guess." Achido walked off, following the group once more, until they made it down to some sort of underwater docks. He had never seen anything like this before, so he stopped to get a better view of the weird looking room. "Woooow"
When Cayle explained about the power outages, then he mentioned something about freeing pickles. Achido cocked his head and raised a brow in confusion to what he was hearing. "We’re doing all of this for pickles? Doesn’t Taco King stock those??" He asked out of confusion as to what was really going on.

Konja just nodded at Jack's words. It was time for him to make up for some of that lost time, even if he couldn't take it back. So long as he stayed alive, he could continue to make something good with his life. Achido pointed out that his time at the temple was far worse, but set it aside for more pertinent matters. "Agreed. We should focus on what's happening right now. What happened before and what will happen later... they have their own time and place."Cayle gave some final instructions, before the party split up into smaller groups to do what they had to. As part of the strike team, she went along with Cayle, Achido, and the pickles of combative age, over to the changing rooms, where their attire had been prepared beforehand. "You'd better be at your best game, Militia," teased the Elite Tara of Clan Taro, now retainer of Cayle of Clan Pota. She gave Konja a jab in the shoulder as they changed into their swimwear. "I don't want to have to pick up after you."Konja scoffed as she examined the black two-piece in the locker. The sort you might see on any sort of beach goer of her disposition. "Oh don't worry, Elite. I'll keep up." The cashier held the attire to her vest, having already learned a thing or two about the things it could do. In response, the clothing she had picked up from the dead god morphed around her, assuming the form of this swimwear, almost identically, with the exception of retaining its signature leathery sheen. Tara smirked as she finished changing. "Good. Let's break open a few jars."The two proceeded down to the sub bay, reconnecting with the team along the way. As Cayle gave the final instructions, of the power outage that would allow them to smuggle the subs down, and then the Pickles up, Achido spoke of... well... literal pickles. The siblings stifled their giggles, while Tara remained quiet, arms crossed. "Ah. Yes. It's a Tuffle term," Konja explained matter of factly, "Referring to the captive Saiyans that they keep in frozen preservation. Prisoners, much like our lot once were. So, we are going down there to rescue more of our people."377/2773 Cayle Pota Achido Jack Pota Ty

Nalta made sure to correct Ty, grinning and puffing out her cheeks slightly as she did. “That's Commander Nalta, Chief of Security, Ty!” because she had been assigned to be Toad Lily's security, after all. She then began to pace around the boat, prepared but still a child, and with all the convincing and strength in the world, still a child who had been made to fear the Tuffles for all of her living memory. Cayle had made sure to look after Nalta, and to train her in the martial ats, but she was still a child- nothing would change that. “So he could be cloned... or maybe he could be spliced? But I can't think of a dog as cool as Dogwood Lily, I'd rather just have a dogwood lily puppy.” she continued to Toad Lily, even after they had landed on the boat. “He's best dog.” Back with Cayle, Achido, Konja, and Jack, Cayle simply shook his head for a moment at the comment from Achido. Friend or not, Achido was still a human teenager after all and didn't understand the secrets of Cayle and his people; how could he? Tiger Lily didn't even understand them entirely. The comment brought a snicker from Caul and Broclin, but Cayle didn't actually respond, letting Konja explain it. “As Konja said. It was a derogatory term when they used it, but given that we can't just say Saiyan unless we mean all the other Saiyans, and we don't – we decided to steal the term they tried to weaponize against us and use it as a banner.” He said we, but technically Cayle had been the first one to latch onto the term as a way to identify them all, and had went so far as to call himself the King of them when dealing with Tara in their first struggle. With their clothes changed, and the group in the right room, Cayle checked his watch for a moment before tapping the lid of one of what looked to be over sized jacuzzis, “Hold your breath!” and then hopped in. Seconds later, he was no where to be seen, having been flushed out into the ocean and launched as if a torpedo towards their destination. Toad Lily immediately got to work, he began preparing the station of every bed side, he put on a black face mask, and looked over to his niece and the self proclaimed Commander Nalta. He handed each of them their own masks and a pair of medical grade gloves. “We don’t know what condition the patients will be in. Keep these and put them on just in case. Best case scenario they are all in decent condition and only require therapy to walk again. Worst case scenario is that some could be wounded and they will need our help at any given moment.”Tiger Lily put on the mask, placed the cloves in her uniform blazer pocket, she rolled up her sleeves to her elbows, and took a seat in on a stool nearby which stabilized with her applied weight. It was a waiting game for now, it was up to Cayle, Konja, Achido, and the other saiyans to rescue their people. Achido was not a saiyan, he was only helping his friends who just so happen to be from a planet far away, with memories of their home being far different from earth. For a long time Ty grew up thinking she was human, until she met Cayle, and her whole world got turned upside down. When they first met, she did not master the art of flying, but after reading his power signature being the same level as her father’s, it was only a matter of time until he tried it. With simple instructions he flew for the first time, with Ty in his arms, he took her to her home island. It was Cayle’s saiyan tail that gave him away, her father Koba, knew right away that he was saiyan, and he kept their heritage secret in order to keep her safe from Tuffles. It was shortly after that when she met Achido, who also believed she was an ordinary human, but after becoming friends she felt that she could not lie about who she was; explaining everything in detail about her father being rescued, at around five years old, from an underground bunker where the South City fishing pier was built roughly thirty two years ago. It sounded like a farfetched comic book story but he believed her and they had become best friends ever since. The only other person she told the truth about herself was a human magus named Kiryu, who took the time to train her a few times in martial arts, and he seemed rather knowledgeable about the habits of saiyans. The only time she able to uncover information about saiyans was online, discovering a place called Little Vegeta, and during the winter spectacular event in Oolong City, Cayle advised against going to such a place; the saiyans that lived there were different, dangerous even, and for a lack of a better word most of them were criminals. Perhaps there was a way to reform them, by revealing the truth of their heritage, but between saving more saiyans from secret bunkers it would take some time. Even after saving the pickled saiyans from their prison today, no one has yet to come across their captors, and she had not met a single Tuffle to know their whereabouts. “Commander Nalta, what do Tuffles look like? Would I know if I met one from their appearance alone?” Ty looked over to the tan young girl with a bit of a perplexed expression, almost nervous, as she was curious if she ever came across one in her life before. Achido was confused and unsure what they meant about pickles? Either way, he was quickly informed by Konja on what Cayle and the others were speaking of, so he gave the raven haired saiyan a slight nod at her words. "Ah, these Tuffles you all keep mentioning must be the ones who abducted your kind?" He asked curiously. Achido was not up to date on anything other than his own kind, so this was all very new and interesting to him.
With Cayle explaining deeper into the meaning of the term pickles, Achido grew even more interested in the Tuffle race and what else they had potentially done to the saiyans. "They sound like monsters. I’m glad I came here to help you all, this most likely won’t be easy and I am going to be here to help no matter what." He announced to the group of saiyans in the room with him.
As Cayle tapped the lid of the jacuzzi, the lip popped open and the saiyan spoke to them, telling everyone in the room to hold their breath before hopping inside the large device. "What the..I swear he is the coolest." He muttered to himself, as he watched Cayle be flushed down the Jacuzzi and into the ocean. The blonde teen was surprised with what he saw, but he wasn’t going to just stand around and wait for everyone to go first.
The human martial artist stepped forward and looked to Konja for a brief moment. "I’ll see you on the other side!" He said excitedly, while climbing up the machine and jumping down the tunnel. Achido was quickly sucked down and flushed into the ocean depths. He spotted Cayle and gave the saiyan and slight wave, while waiting for the others to join them.

Cayle elaborated on the background of the term Pickle, and it seemed, from both Saiyans' mentioning of the term, brought up the next sensible question. What was a Tuffle? Well, that was the underlying question. But the way Achido led it was rather direct. Konja addressed this directly. "Yes, they are. This is an ancient conflict, a war from a... very long time ago."The way she gave the timing of the war was full of hesitation, and a great lack of conviction. They had all escaped mere months ago. And those centuries that composed the "very long ago" part, she'd completely slept through. No, to Konja, the war had never ended, and she felt like she was just stranded on a strange new world. One that she was getting used to, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't miss the old badlands and its wildlife. Her mind understood to some degree that the war was long gone, and her family and clan - at least the ones from her generation - were long dead. But her heart couldn't conceive of such a thing. Sometimes, she would look up at the night sky and try to grasp at one or more of the distant stars, imagining that one day, she could go home to Planet Plant and help her people end the war. But no... "Maybe in what they had done to us, they are monstrous... but the average Tuffle is not at all imposing from looks alone. You might say our people are opposites. The Saiyans are hardy, powerful. The Tuffles look like anyone else. Maybe smaller in some cases... but their minds are as powerful as our fists. Their technology is..." She briefly shuddered, attempting to push the image of that powered suit out of her mind. "You can say that their true face is in the terrible war machines they build."Cayle gave the signal, and took the lead to dive in. One by one, the team followed, with Achido being sure to let her know he'd be waiting for her, in a sense. Nobody noticed the slight upward curve of the corner of her mouth, perhaps not even herself. Konja jumped in next, followed by the others. Tara covered the rear, and shut the lid behind her. The mission had begun. 385/2781 Jack Pota Ty Achido Cayle Pota

Nalta, hearing Tiger Lily's question, smiled for a moment, trying to keep that upbeat expression and proudly fierce attitude about her, but hesitated for a moment at Tiger Lily's question. It was obvious for a moment that she was processing it and trying to think of the best way to explain things, before answering. “They mostly look like us or humans, but with something slightly... bad? About them. I dunno! Here's a picture of one.” and she showed a picture she had drawn in crayon of a normal looking scientist, even with a white lab coat, but with slightly slicked back black hair and eerie yellow eyes. It was a picture that had Cayle seen, a reaction might have come from the Saiyan would be warlord, but it was only for the eyes of Tiger Lily and Toad Lily at the moment. “They smell kind of like Earth fruit, too, so no, not appearance alone. Maybe smell, appearance, and ki together!”
Then she folded the picture back up and pocketed it, going back to looking out around them, hand over her eyes.
Cayle, meanwhile sped through the water, dodging past underwater sensors and other security measures. He tried to go slow enough to keep the others within the vicinity of him, but soon had dived into a natural cave from under the water, a vast natural cave with a vast marina of submarine ships within it. From his placement after fully rising to breath, he lowered to just let his nose, and above be above the waves, hiding beneath one of the peers as he listened, looked, smelled, and used his ki sense to try to detect anyone around, or things such as security cameras or the like which might need to be neutralized.

The answer Nalta gave was beginning to make sense, at some point when fighting Tuffle Pirates in the southern islands, she noticed the scent of fruits from the Captain. Perpahans Kiryu would have been able to track them down easily if he was able to smell the direction they escaped to before losing sight of them. The level of technology they possessed was completely out of this world, Capsule Corp was not even close with some of the things that were hidden in the bunkers, and Ty was never able to hear her own father describe what happened to him as a youth when he was a subject of experimentation.
Every year that passed by, Tiger Lily’s father pierced his body with a silver stud, to serve as a reminder that his twin sister was still lost but he also felt she was still alive. Toad Lily explained that twins have a mysterious connection to one another so it made sense that Koba still held psychological attachments to his sister. The half saiyan teenager was hopeful that they would be able to find her aunt soon.
Nalta handed Ty a drawing of a tuffle, the way the girl carried it around was like a crux, making sure not to forget the visage of the scientist that tormented her. After a minute, the young green haired saiyan took the drawing away, and returned it to her pocket.
“So you have a feeling they are still alive? That means Cayle, Achido, and Konja might run into some Tuffles on this mission.” A sigh escaped her lips, she was slightly relieved to remain on the medical ship, she slid on the gloves Toad Lily gave her as well as the mask. Ready for the unexpected.

It didn't take Konja long to learn that swimming in seawater was slightly different from swimming in freshwater. Having had a small degree of mobility as a peasant, her clan stuck to rivers and lakes. Before her escape from Aspic Facility 03, she had never even heard of a body of water as large as the sea, let alone seen one. That first night when she tried to swim, all of the dissolved salt burned her eyes. While in earlier times, she might have taken time to train swimming in seawater, it was so much easier to just buy goggles. Which was why she made to sure to bring a pair with her this time. The beet farmer followed closely as Cayle led the way, goggles protecting her eyes from the sting of the water. It was a small difference, but it still took her a while to learn to trust the goggles in the sea as much as she would a hoe on the field, or more recently, the cash register at the Taco King. The Tuffles had laid numerous traps in the way. Spherical clusters of machine eyes turned erratically in multiple directions scouring the deep with their illuminated gaze to warn their masters of intruders. Often these were paired with automated blasters that before, she had seen fire searing beams at their targets. This wasn't all too different from that one time she had been sent to scout out a suspected Tuffle base at the bottom of a lake, except that she didn't need goggles back then, and there were far more traps laid out now. It was best to keep a sharp eye out, least she be caught. Cayle, at least, was at the top of his game, and the swim team had been training for this for a while now. They took into an underwater cave, soon emerging into a cavernous pocket of air - the entrance to this particular base. Keeping a low profile, Konja scouted their surroundings. A number of submarines were moored at a complex of docking structures, maintained by automated machinery. The machine eyes kept a sweeping view of the space just above the water, along the surface of the steel piers. She swam around to get a better view, keeping mindful of those prying machine eyes. Further up the pier was a larger foundation, built into the wall of the cave itself. A security checkpoint took up half of the space of this foundation, blocking the way to a massive metal gate presumably leading into the facility proper. The other half appeared to serve as a dry dock for the construction of new vehicles, or heavy maintenance. Said checkpoint was much like those she had seen during the war, if less impressive. Defensive barricades with gun ports flanked the main road leading up from the pier, lined with automated turrets. By the look of them, a number of rotary beam cannons, and miniguns - high rates of fire to deal with massed enemies of mixed toughness. Heavy cannon batteries and missile launchers to deal with larger targets - or Saiyans… And most worrisome, above the main cave gate, a pair of large “mass drivers”, similar to the ones that were most heavily fielded during the war. Those, she’d seen turn even a fully powered up low-class into chunks. But she was no longer a low-class warrior… at least from what Tara said during their last spar. Best to watch out regardless. A dozen guards clad in the earlier variant of the insectoid-helmeted Tuffle power armour patrolled the area. Another four manned the guardhouses just outside the gate. With the element of surprise, it could very well be possible to take down this security detail. The key was to eliminate the threat of those big guns above the gate… The scout stealthily made her way back to the main group to report her findings. [651/3432] Achido Ty Cayle Pota

Cayle and the rest of the insertion team were also wearing goggles when it came to swimming through the ocean to get to the location, but Cayle's – and the rest of the teams', even Konja's – were special goggles that Cayle had custom built for them from what was at one point World Government Surplus attempts at CapsuleCorp or PilafCorp's own brand name modern scouters. These goggles were made to withstand pressure, allow for highlighting objects simply with movements of the eyebrows or one's fingers pointing, and were meant to have infrared, night vision, and document scanning and storing capabilities. They were straight out of a James Frond film from the era when Brussuls played the title character.
The low-class Saiyan peasant turned into a would-be warlord and King of the Pickled Saiyans ducked his head slightly out of the water, picking up the signs around them and notating things. Each time he did, he would touch the one of the goggles with a finger tip and notate what he saw with the touch. After he had done it, the goggles – all of them, even the ones that Konja had, and the ones that Nalta had on her forehead up on the deck, blinked into life and action. They all made an eerie chirp that was easily audible to them, but not over the din of work going on in the undergound portage.
<100 Targets located. Command Prompt designate primary targets, beep.> it would whisper and also display visibly. Cayle moved his eyebrow in the method he had been trained to use it, and soon there were targets divided into a pyramid. 10 targets of serious threats, 30 targets of moderate threats, and 60 targets of minor threats.
“Caul, Broclin, Tara, prepare the volley.” he said before turning to Konja. “Konja, prepare to power up at my signal. After these words, we'll be switching to sign until the room is cleared. Sign? Had he shown them sign? He did. It was tricked into his practicing with them for his idea of a new martial art, 'Cadejo Style' for the Earthling word for the Whitefang and Blackclaw beasts, but he had done so.
He flickered through the goggles with his his fingers, tapping it as if fiddling with a television remote and flicking back and forth from channels on a television or a dial radio, and when he was done each of the Pickles other than himself and Konja had orders on where to hit. Indeed, they each hefted a water proof bag out of the water, and unzipping it after coming enough out of the water. Each was filled with water balloons and gas grenades.
He began to throw the hand signals, and soon each of the trio's members was doing as he had instructed and they had planned. Water balloons at the turrets and the cameras, thrown with that Saiyan catapult arm each of them had. Hot sauce filled balloons at any troopers not in armor. And balloons of both thrown at those in armors. Smoke grenades made from onions, and capsasin, and then specialized water guns being used on those that remained. Cayle's hand signal to Konja said 'okay now power up, albeit only enough to get them to charge in here with some forces and try to see what's going on at the edge.'
Then the Saiyan ducked under the water to wait. Watching through the googled vision of the rest of the team, and waiting for the moment to strike.
