Personality:
Lena is a grouchy, angry individual due to her upbringing as part of the demon clan. valuing strength, she nonetheless values her leader, his subjects, and her own oaths of allegiance far more. A patriot, Lena is firmly attached to creating a world where Daimao can once again rise to his full potential and take over the world. She is firmly attached to the ideas of evil, and believes that should she do a good enough job, Daimao will value her just as much as any of his other namekian children. to that end, she works hard to achieve the fatherly love of a being she doesn't truly comprehend.
Towards Namekians, Lena is a bit of a contradiction. As someone who wishes to push themselves to the top in the service of Piccolo Daimao and as one who hates to be looked down upon, she is nonetheless of the same belief as namekians are in her own inferiority as a mere human, believing she must work far harder than any of the green-skinned demon clan to approach true capabilities. Thus, she treats them as Higher beings - angels, in a sense - and yet constantly wishes to surpass them. This view of them as 'angels' does not extend to their morality, nor does it stop her from being willing to kill one of her honoured higher powers if she feels her life is being threatened.
Lena has nothing but disdain for her own race, but will usually hide it... reasonably well, but comes off as grumpy to most humans or saiyans she sees. She hates the thought of either of them truly harming her master, but history has given her a slight bit more respect for the ones who have become known as 'Saiyan's, for she knows them as great enemies to the lineage she preserves. Thus, while they earn less hate and more respect, they are still consistently evaluated for their potential value as a target.
As a subject of consistent abuse, she can often show much of the same behavior, however, as someone who routinely fights against it, her emotions on the subject can be unstable. She can go very quickly from cowed and terrified to gutting a man with a grin on her face.
Through it all, despite taking on the role of a pet, Lena still has a stubborn pride to her, one which occasionally even causes her to claim superiority over the namekians she looks at as demi-gods among men. She rarely forgets a slight and usually pays back her debts.
While she respects the demon clan, and views gray namekians as misguided, however, she views Kami's followers as beings who don't deserve the bodies they were born in for going against the great Piccolo Daimao. She considers crushing them to be a holy duty. Additionally, for their transgressions, she will seek to thwart and poison any and every work set upon this earth that either Kami or Piccolo Junior participated in.
Overall, she is a spiteful ball of wrath and anger, searching for love in a father figure she believes in that doesn't exist. What distinguishes her from the rabble is her pride as a warrior, the honor inherent in her word, and her rare moments of shown kindness.
History:
Lena's history is sordid and tragic, yet relatively simple. Her parents died young, very young, and their story is still unknown to the young warrior to this day. all she knows is that they were taken in, within the north, by the demon clan for a short time... then, they passed away of illness. of that, she is sure. What brought them to the north, she's never found out.
From there, more out of convenience of a new servant, Lena was brought up by the clan, living in the hold, learning, hunting for herself as soon as she was able - for the black-haired girl showed her capacity for fighting the moment she bit one of the demons taking care of her, Oboe, hard enough to nearly sever his finger. Many doubted the humanity of her lineage, but for all intents and purposes, she simply seemed to come from a particularly vicious strain of humanity.
The evil inherent in her natural composition was noted, however, and it wasn't long before the Demon Clan saw a weapon they could train to Further their goals of world domination... of course, she didn't need to know that was the plan...
There was one other thing noted, though, and that was that the black-haired woman was a rare beauty. In a sense, the division of the demon clan that took care of her started to see her as a mix between a weapon and a pet, a prize trophy to show off to the other areas. For a long time, she was indoctrinated to be both, and took it in readily... even if her instincts told her to rebel. She readily absorbed the image of Piccolo Daimao as the great father of all the demon clan and the destined ruler of the world, and this idea gave her something to latch onto... a goal. she readily devoted herself to Daimao and made him into a godlike figure. Many respected and feared the rule of Daimao, but Lena made him into a full religion - one she lived her life by. She was happy to make herself useful, even for the nameks around her who treated her like trash. This was simply another part of her punishment for being merely human, and if she lived through it, if she kept herself loyal, she was sure her lord would reward her handsomely. She immersed herself in wickedness, and from that wickedness her pride grew. still, she was often beaten and abused for poor service, and training was harsh... but she learned much from it. Eventually, while this continued amongst the more powerful, older Demon clansmen, younger ones not part of her hold quickly found themselves disappearing and meeting messy ends if they pushed Lena too far.
Still, her own inferiority was so commented on that even Lena believed it, beginning a chapter of self-loathing for the girl, followed by loathing for much of her surroundings. as a demon born again under King Piccolo, though, this only made sense to the woman. It was part of being a proper demon.
As the girl grew and found out more of her history, at least with a heavy slant, she found out that King Piccolo was held back by a few factors... and the thought enraged her, that her master had suffered at some poitn in history. what vexed her even more, however, was all she had learned about Piccolo Junior... a reincarnation, King Piccolo's trusted son, betraying him. Leaving the demon clan! The idea disgusted her...
And yet, it also pushed her to new heights in training. it gave her a goal, a reason, a purpose to live...
If king piccolo's son was determined to stay truant in hiding, Lena would work her arse off to give him something he'd wanted for a long time...
She'd find this mythical namekian, blade in hand, and slay the rat bastard herself. Then, she would be allowed to see the great king piccolo, and give him the Vermin's head, should he ever need an example of what happens to traitors. and when she did so...
Surely her lord would look favorably upon her?
