Name: Axon
Species: Failed Bio-Demon
Age: 18
Gender: Male
{}
Appearance: Wild hazel locks stand on their ends- eternally ruffled, yet kept somewhat short. Gold-amber irises within eyes almost constantly alert can be seen at all times. Axon possesses a somewhat slender, athletic musculature. Pale flesh with a healthy gleam wraps around his skeleton. In terms of appearances, one could compare him to a rather plain, albeit bright young man. Bright in terms of colour palette- not quite book-smarts.
Personality: Axon gives the impression of a somewhat flat figure upon first meeting him. He is blunt, quick, and entirely to-the-point. Seeking out information and details of his surroundings frequently causes him to come off as rather inquisitive at times. Perhaps even bordering on the edge of nosy. The young man is almost constantly chasing after something beyond his reach in a most figurative sense.
Of course, though his morals have yet to be wholly defined and established, his loyalty is unquestionable once obtained.
That and he is prone to gallows humour. Or humour of any sort.
History: Discovery. Axon’s life is marked by discovery- one event after another. Though nothing particularly out of the ordinary has occurred in his eighteen years of living thus far, he finds himself eternally curious as to where his path will lead him next. Humble people oft hail from humble origins. This artificial organism is all the same in that aspect.
It was one Dr. Cynaps that brought him first into existence. Though he himself does not know the exact details how his birth came to be, Axon believes the doctor wholeheartedly wholeheartedly to be his parent. Consider it a lie of omission. Along with that belief comes the notion that he is human as well. Such an idea was held by him throughout his life. Childhood, education, and adolescence.
Axon believes himself to be completely human.
Naturally, his heightened strength allowed him ample opportunity to combat the rising tides of anarchy threatening to destroy his world. He now travels around the globe- working as a mercenary while slowly approaching to carve the world of three centuries ago.

The time is currently five o’ clock in the morning. Today’s temperature of the vicinity seems to be maintained at a steady 23.7 °C- give a few decimals places on that one for error. Low humidity. A suitable state for carrying out experiments or research. That is, if we even had a fully-stocked laboratory to begin the project in the first place. Construction of all the adequate facilities and moving of equipment will take about a week or so. Or so I am told.
There is never any certainty around here.
Corporate has mandated that I keep logs of development around, and so here I am. They say that it is for ‘personal reference’ and to keep track of progress, but we all know better than that. ██ ████ is bound to look through these logs if the project fails to bear fruit in the next few years or so.
Do pardon the sarcasm used. Being asked to perform the impossible oft leads one to develop little patience, especially after being moved from the division I spent the better part of a decade working in to; what I can only summarise as; advanced genetic engineering. Of course, it is not the field that I have any concern over. Give me enough time and I could probably fly through the air like those superpowered martial artists.
Time- that itself is the point. If I had just a little more time, the new batch of infantry-type mechanical Androids might have been able to compete with the turning tides. Maybe if the commanding generals listen to their subordinates for once, that wrinkled, old demon would be ten feet underground already.
Ah. Passive aggressiveness. That habit needs to be removed sooner or later.
Bad social traits aside, we have been provided blood samples and cadavers from demons. The general wants us to base our project on creating devils to fight devils.

It has become entirely apparent to me that the more I read through Dr. Gero’s research notes, the more I begin to dislike Dr. Gero.
Firstly, the man is apparently intelligent enough to not only replace me in my former job of lead-researcher for Android development, but he somehow develops new and improved models of mechanical fighters at an astoundingly rapid rate. How does he manage to suddenly transform his creations into better variants, you ask?
By scanning people fighting and making robots.
No enucleated egg cells from any organism.
No cloning. No logical scientific process.
His machines just scan other people's fight scenes and then augment his other machines.
I am unsure if I am simply ignorant as to his methods in the development of Androids or if he is secretly a wizard assuming the guise of a scientist. The research he provided is apparently over a few centuries old and yet I find myself baffled by the processes taken by him. The project we are concerned with essentially boils down to creating an organism from the cell up either way.
The makeup of demon blood is strange to say the least. Both DnA and RnA samples examined possess nitrogenous bases unlike anything we have ever seen before. Some specimens do not even seem to obey the base pairing rules regular living beans all abide by. By all accounts; even if we do manage to create an organism with a perfect match for this genetic material; the subject will expire due to complications with cancer after improper cell division.
One could suppose that they would not be ‘demons’ if there was some otherworldly factor at play keeping them in existence.
Perhaps another roadblock is the fact that the demons in question are not typically constrained to one species. ‘Demon’; in of itself; is a blanket term for the aberrations which enter our reality from some theoretical nether-world. We are severely underfunded and understaffed for a large-scale venture into demonology as it is.
For the time being, we will continue testing with the blood samples from a specimen soldiers report to have ‘████ their companions blood’ so to say.

We did it!
We finally did it!
One of the research assistants noted a strange reaction which occurred when the carnivorous demon’s blood sample came into contact with organic life. It began to expel an exorbitant amount of energy for its volume- hissing and boiling the air around it. Further studies and experiments with the specimen has displayed that it somehow siphons an arbitrary measurement of ‘vitality’ from an organism it afflicts. The blood cells then began to multiply in a manner akin to how Namekians are capable of regenerating their own flesh.
Whether this is merely an endothermic reaction, the breakdown of natural material via enzymes, or; more likely; a form of mystical influence is still beyond us. However, this discovery has allowed us to continuously generate energy (or ‘ki’ depending on what sort of academic you are) and synthesise additional samples for further study.
Such an interesting find possesses numerous possibilities for the development of technology and innovation beyond a mere test-tube soldier programme. Though, the concept of a self-perpetuating warrior without a need to eat, sleep, or even breathe cannot be undervalued. Testing with cybernetic augmentation and synthesised demon organs will begin shortly.
I fully believe that we are on the cusp of something great.

The time is currently three o’ clock in the afternoon. The temperature of the laboratory is kept at around 24 °C today. As per the usual, humidity is maintained low. Admittedly, there is not much to report in this log. Corporate insists that I continue to record these regular logs for some reason or another. If they want me to waste more space on my data-pad on another hundred or so entries of nothing, who am I to argue?
Development proceeding on time and astoundingly well for the amount of staff given to us. We managed to synthesise entire body parts with the help of that original sample. The cycle no longer even requires us to have an original- none of the sequences change between each replication process. Hence, a fake is just as good.
I foresee one and only one matter posing as a qualm to the higher-ups. Specimens created at a stage of adulthood or older are likely to retain a behavioural traits similar to our demonic opposition. They are unintelligent at best and feral at worst. It would be as if a clone of a wolf was made, but without the addition any of its memories or original experiences.
Two suggestions were raised in attempting to work around this defect: the first of which is to implant artificial memories in the adult unit, and the second simply assumes raising the units from infancy. Seeing as the former option requires more time developing the necessary neurotechnology needed; and our leaders are becoming rather impatient for a practical display; we have opted for the latter.
Nine whole months were allotted for the cultivation of a single infant.
Peculiar. Each and every time I pass by that container, I could not help but realise how I managed to bring its life into the world.
How much time was spent on this project.
How human it looks.
Useless sentiments in the end. Though, one could suppose it deserves a name at the very least. A few days were spent idling by and pondering upon what it should be termed. ‘Axon’ was finally settled upon ultimately- the bridge between the gaps. The utter nerve of his every fibre to defy conventional beings. Biology puns. Sue me.
In other news, some of our scouts have reported HNOs circling a hundred metres overhead the entrance of this facility. It is unlikely that they know we are operating here as most of our base resides underneath a town posing as a small farming community. Be that as it may, I have issued a request to HQ for reinforcements just in case.
Though I am uncertain whether they will listen.

Overview
Due to the increasing demand of manpower on the front-lines against the threat of King Piccolo’s army, orders have been received from the higher-ups to begin research into otherworldly organism physiology before mass-production of units can begin. Hostile Nether-World Organisms; hereinafter referred to as ‘demons’ or ‘HNO’s for the sake of simplicity; are often not susceptible to ordinary armaments and mundane means of injury.
While investing into increasingly destructive weapons proves in devastating the demons, the personnel operating such tools are overwhelmingly fragile compared to the opposing forces. Mass-produced Android type units have taken a plateau in effectiveness as a result of their inability to adapt to changing tactics in the heat of battle. Hence, a delve into the field of artificial warriors is warranted.
Dr. ████ ██████ Cynaps has shown great potential and capability in directing previous projects concerning ‘Android’ development. She will be given full authority to direct this venture under the directional powers detailed in Document RR-5 Age 1090.
The operating staff will be notified that the research notes uncovered from Dr. Gero’s workings on the theoretical construction of artificial organisms should be utilised in each stage of development.
Do not fail us.
Long live the army.

Bio-Android Production Facility
Overview
Recovered data-logs show that at approximately 02:00, an army of Hostile Nether-World Organisms gathered in the skies above █████. They proceeded to launch volley after volley of energy blasts at the surface town- harshly reducing the population and damaging nearby structures. The development members of the Makai Project underwent an evacuation protocol along with any valuable data. Eight of the ten Ki-Infused mercenaries were sent skyward to intercept and distract any HNOs that descended.
Meanwhile, the light infantry provided cover fire and support for their companions.
At 04:00, the remaining demons sent an additional volleys until the surface town was reduced to a sea of glass and rock. All personnel proceeded to perish in the ensuing blast and shockwaves. Among the eleven personnel dedicated to research, only ten bodies were recovered in the evacuation tunnels.
Dr. ████ ██████ Cynaps is assumed to have passed via vaporisation. Though formalities dictate that she will be considered missing in action.
Ki-Experts on our side theorise that the opposing force must have sensed the presence of those within the facility alongside the synthesised Bio-Demons.
More testing on presence concealment to be done at a later date.
