The day was just beginning, the sun’s presence betrayed by the soft shining blue that crept up from the horizon. The convoy, however, had already been in the works preparing their mission to ensure smooth and safe operations from here to West City. The preparations took place in a large compound, the ground was smooth pavement and the perimeter was flanked by boxy buildings, chain link fences, and warehouses. The warehouses were alive with movement. Men and women moved cargo with forklifts that seemed to be zipping by. Their flashing yellow hazard lights warn others to move out of the way as they deliver and load the last few nondescript boxes into their containers. Mechanics shouting across the buildings, rushing to get these last few vehicles ready to go. Guards, drivers, employees were all mixed into this as they weaved in and out of each other, all trying to accomplish their tasks. Outside the warehouses on the pavement, a long line of assorted vehicles from freight trucks, up-armored civilian vehicles, the occasional military Vic. All had their lights on with engines running and the iconic sound of air brakes being engaged punctuated the constant wave of noise filling the air.
In view a few hundred paces away, a nearby building filled was filled with a large security team receiving their brief. The room was set up much like a classroom, the men and women dressed up in their utilities and plate carriers, had their weapons resting between their legs as they sat in rows of chairs. The more attentive ones had notepads out and others were struggling to stay awake. Team leaders were in the front with a projector showing visual information and intel. The brief included the route that was being taken from Central city to West city. It showed captured photos of the bandits, their equipment, possible kill zones where the convoy could be attacked, locations of last known hideouts. The brief all together was over an hour long. What Jody found interesting, was that they never once mentioned what was in the cargo they were loading up, simply to destroy it if they were to fall in anyone else's hands. Either way, these men were from professional contracted security companies, who for sure who knew what they were doing.
Off to the side there was another group of individuals that were part of their own brief. They were mismatched, none of them seem to be part of any group of faction in particular. No uniforms, the weapons amongst one another were inconsistent, all filling out paperwork.
In front of them was a great tiger-like beastman, Johnny, explaining the gist of what’s going on. “You have already received some form of contract when you accepted the job, the information there should match up with what you have in front of you now.” He grabbed one of the contracts and held it up to his face, his whiskers wrinkling before continuing on. “If you look at the top, it asks for your information and your acknowledgment that the work you have accepted to take on will put your life at risk. Once this is signed, you will be fined if you ever decide to back out. There are no payouts for injury or death. Next, it details your payment and reward for completing this operation. And after that, it gives a basic description of what your part to play in this operation is.” Johnny puts down the contract on the table that he is leaning back on before continuing. “Let me put it in layman terms for you. Your mission will be to go along the planned route we have before the convoy ever leaves this compound, seek and destroy any bandits along the way. If the proves to be too much for you, then make enough noise and report their positions so that we, the convoy, can adapt to the information you have provided. Each one of you has been assigned and put together into teams and given the coordinates of possible hideout locations and traps that you will be investigating and destroying. Are there any questions?”
Jody was just finishing signing her contract, looking through all the items to make sure that in fact, they were all the same as before. Her eyes skimmed from line to line, and yes, everything seemed to be in order. She wasn't very diligent with paperwork, but given the apparent dangers should want to make sure she wasn't being cheated or taken advantage of at all. She then took the folder that was handed to her earlier and began to sift through it. It seemed simple enough, she wonders what she was going to get, and who she would be partnered up with.

Clove Tea was checking the large shipment of Coffee beans, which were from a rich environment oasis in the southern lands, and cross examined the weight with the order form she had pulled up from her capsule corp c-phone. The original paperwork was returned and handed over to one of Johnny’s assistants, a blonde female human with thick glasses, who was responsible over the logistics of the convoy.
The brunette with the high ponytail, tied in a silk red ribbon, looked over at another shipping container which also consisted of coffee beans, derived from shrubs that were linked to a mine of spiritual ore, she stood by on okobo sandals wearing a solid black yukata with a shortened hemline that reached above her knees. Clove explained to the blonde assistant that the second order of coffee beans were from shrubs that had roots attached to metal and produced one of the most robust distinct flavor of beans, that were still enjoyable eating simply roasted and dipped in chocolate.
While the ore itself was quite valuable, the coffee farmers refused to excavate it, as it had doubled their profits ten fold from buyers such as Clove. As a result the convoy had been stolen twice en route to West City. It was enough for the Tea Princess to make her appearance to get rid of the problem that was costing Daruma Tea & Coffee, located in West City, years of losses in coffee sales.
The engines of the truck convoy all roared in unison, the drivers were prepared to trek the southern land deserts towards the forests of the Central lands. Clove dismissed herself and took flight to meet with Johnny in his office, landing right outside his door, and she knocked before opening it. To her surprise he was in a meeting with a young dark haired humanoid woman.
“Oh, excuse me, I did not mean to interrupt. I just finished checking the inventory. I am going ahead of the convoy to see if these marauders are planning an assault. I will keep an eye out on everyone to arrive safely in West city. You can count on me.”
Clove winked her deep crimson eye at the Tiger beastman, closed the door behind her, and took flight into the air heading west to scout the main road. It was nothing but desert. There were no notable ki signatures for miles and she flew back towards the front of convoy in disappointment. She landed on top of the shipping container of the first truck driving down the main road, she watched the rest of the trucks pull out from the loading dock facility, making sure the rear was secured.

The Beastman didn’t miss a beat and waved his hand dismissively when Clove walked in saying what she had to say. Johnny was a military man in the middle of a brief, so he wasn’t about to be distracted. Even with his tiger face, and how difficult it would be to tell emotion, it was clear as day that he was clearly unamused. The Blonde assistant, however, was biting her lower lip as she watched Clove go, and Jody was completely distracted by the scene. Seeing her felt completely out of place. Everyone here was ready to fight, even Jody who looked more like she was about to participate in a martial art tournament was more ready for combat than the woman who just walked in. Jody's stare lingered at the door for a little longer as she tried to make sense of it.
“Here, take this,” Johnny said as he handed each of them a Capsule communication device. Jody’s attention snapped straight back to him as she took it out of his hand. With a little shake of her head and the steeling of her eyes, she regained clarity in her thought. She examined it, checking all sides and even the back. She noted the few buttons on it and pressed one when it emitted an audible click amongst all the other devices. This caused her to shoot up in surprise, and Johnny shot her a glace. Embarrassed she put her head down and went back her basic examination. The device was no bigger than her hand, but it seemed pretty robust. Johnny continued, “It works on Line of Sight, and has about a 15-mile range. Lose it, you pay the company back. They are not cheap either.” Jody nodded and gulped, she did not have any money to play around with this thing. She tucked it into her pocket and nodded with satisfaction that she had secured the item of importance.
“Happy Hunting,” said Johnny, and the lot of them took off. The brief had taken some time to fully complete, the convoy had already begun to move. Jody didn’t have a vehicle, so she cursed under her breath thinking how she was going to get ahead. With two steps and a leap, she flew through the air. It was nice to get the crisp morning desert breeze bite against her face after the stale musk that she had been sitting in for the past few hours. It was going to be heating up soon, so until then, she might as well enjoy the cold.
Her feet made contact on top of one of the containers with a thump and taking a moment to enjoy her newfound mobility she looked ahead of the convoy. Her eyes squint, almost in disbelief of what she saw. Focusing her sight on the front of the convoy she saw that woman that barged in earlier. She was unmistakable, the black yukata really stood out from the crowd here, with their fatigues and uniforms, let alone easy to spot on top of a moving truck.
Jody felt resolved to speak to this person. She was so out of place that it made her interesting and she just had to talk to her. Also, she was curious as to how she got so far ahead, could she fly like what Jody has seen before from expert fighters from around the world? She must be strong to have reached that level. This woman was so interesting that it piqued Jody's interest. She must talk to her and learn at least a little of her story.
Jody stepped to the leading edge of the container and lept from one to the next. She didn't want to rush over there and seem silly, but she did want to make good time regardless. She was maybe six or seven trucks back, and her jumps were skilfully done without pause. When she got to the truck that the mysterious woman was on she paid extra attention to her landing, trying to make it as soft as possible, as if to pay respect to her presence.
Before speaking, she tried to sense out the woman's strength. Jody did not delay for too long, however. "Good morning, I'm Jody. May I ask for your name?" She asked with confidence. Jody was standing straight up now, her purple sash and black hair billowed in the wind.

The relationship between two distinct individuals determined the ability to pick up ki signatures from a distance. Among the Pig Demon Duchies, everyone kept their power level unsuppressed, only the strong could lead and it kept enemies at a distance. The moment Jody honed in on Clove’s ki, she would feel the invisible aura apart from the desert heat, and if the saiyan possessed a scouter it would go off at around 18,900 at a natural state which meant it could reach a maximum of 28,350 power level. The tea princess remained balanced standing on top of the leading truck on the convoy, she felt Jody come close, and her crimson eyes looked over to her momentarily before looking at the horizon.
“Hello, my name is Clove Tea. Nice to meet you Jody, apologies for the intrusion earlier. I am here on a voluntary basis so I am not familiar with the protocol. You work for the security detail, right? You have a power level that matches everyone’s here, security is tripled, and I suppose Johnny’s plan is safety in numbers.” After a beat, she was able to meet the young woman’s eyes, “I am sure the culprits have anticipated a stronger security force, so I volunteered, perhaps they will think twice before invoking the wrath of Pig Demon Duchies.”
Clove crossed her arms carefully, the long sleeve on her right arm was folded neatly to keep them from billowing in the dry air. The truck they were on kept a steady fifty miles per hour speed to keep the convoy together at a steady pace. With a tilt of her head she carried on their conversation, “How do you like your job in security, Jody? Is your training regiment keeping you on top of your game?”
Apart from the ki signature Clove had on display, she had both her wrists in white cloth wraps along her forearm, an indication that she was trained in martial arts, and thin line scars that were from cuts along her exposed hands revealed she was a swordswoman. However, there was no sign of a sword on her person, the crimson irises determined that she was not an ordinary human, and she smiled when she noticed how attentive Jody was to detail.
“I must admit, the world has changed significantly, I feel that the danger in everyday life has increased immensely. It is up to people like you to make a real difference for the better.”
Clove sighed as she looked away, they had crossed the last the stretch of the desert, and were now in a narrow canyon road that remained between their destination. The natural rock formations that surrounded what used to be a stream of water carving through rock was now a road between the southern lands and the central lands. Concrete levees were along the entire road, an indication that while the road was presently dry, the source that carved the canyon was still active, according to gps it was a lake in the Central Lands that would overflow during monsoon season and connect with a river that cut through the middle of the southern lands.

A cold sweat despite the heat formed on Jody’s brow. The level of power was an oppressive wave that weighed down on her. Her lungs strained more to expand to suck in the heavy air. The difference was immense, a large insurmountable gap. Jody’s smile tightened, and worries of a powerful person possibly being temperamental came to the fore front of her mind.
“Likewise, Clove, it’s nice to meet you mam’. No apology needed, we were going over the boring parts of the contract and we were just finishing up. I overheard you are shipping cargo in this convoy yourself, so you are more of a client to us than battle buddy. I’m sure Johnny is more than happy to have you onboard than not regardless.” Jody took a pause as Clove finished out her first statement. Jody took this pause to walk to the side edge of the container to sit. She let her legs dangle, kicking them back and forth. “Well Johnny did hand out possible locations for sting operations if you are interested, or we could be static and just for the trouble to come to us.” Jody sighed, it was good work. Hard, dangerous, boring and terrifying and it could all change in a heartbeat.
Jody pondered on the conversation, a tilt of her head as she attempted to make eye contact. “I’m not familiar with the duchies, you seem to be someone of influence. Are you perhaps royalty?” Her smile shone with genuine curiosity, and her eyes were bright as she asked Clove a possible ignorant question.
With the subject changing, she leaned back with thought as her eyes swam for recollection. “Well, convoys like this are an easy way to travel and make money while doing so. It has its ups and downs. You meet interesting people, like Johnny who hold a lot of authority but have a sense of humor, personality’s day perspective that you can find only in places where structure and violent chaos coincide. Although being static, like we are now, can be stressful and dull. Just waiting around with a big target painted on our backs waiting on the enemy to attack. Either way I’m just an irregular that sometimes contracts out when I’m looking for work in the area I happen to be. I don’t always choose to do security, but I can’t lie to pays well for the amount of time you put in. With my training I’ve been keeping up with it.” She pumped her arms and clenched her fists together as if amping up for combat. “I’ve made progress in leaps and bounds lately, but nothing close to you Clove.”
As the terrain transition Jody stood up and positioned herself in front of the truck. Her senses began to open as she focuses as a hawk. Changes in the color of dirt, strange placement of rock or trash near the road. Possible positions that an assault could be launched she was looking for it.
“Yeah…” Jody said. I’m reality she felt that did nothing to stop or further violence. Her travels she usually just picks a side that seems right to her, that most lines with her morals and values and aided them. While she wished she could go on not accepting an award, her lifestyle could not continue without it.
“By the way, I know you are volunteering and I don’t know how much you know. But if I have ever seen a kill box forming, this would be the place. Also with convoys like these it’s usually the first, middle, and last truck that gets hit with explosives. I don’t know if a hundred pounds of explosives are even consequential to you or not… but you know, just a heads up.”

“I see.” Clove nodded at the young woman’s explanation of her contract with Johnny, “I was hoping the trouble would come to us, that is the way it has always been, in my personal experience.”
The canyon was deep, the views at the top the rock face were obstructed, and the forest at the end of the road was still miles away. Jody admitted she was not familiar with the western lands and somehow guessed her title based on a simple remark, “Only in my homeland and among members of the Tea Clan. Out here, among the rocks, desert, and the convoy I am not a royal. I am just a Tea & coffee shop owner from West City concerned for the order of coffee I placed since the last two convoy trips were stolen. However, the pig demon Duchies does possess an excellent legal team, which I threatened the logistics company with, so they hired extra security the third time around.”
A chuckle escaped her lips as she nodded, keeping her arms crossed, and maintaining her balance on the shipping container while the truck was in motion. The saiyan complimented her power level being evident to her strength which made her frown slightly, “Being strong has multiple layers, the most important one is having the courage to face adversity, followed by committing to martial arts to improve that strength, and practicing with formidable opponents. Otherwise, I consider myself a blade master, as it is all I have ever known, and before I am summoned back home I plan on traveling the world. Being part of this operation is just something I needed to do on behalf of my employees who rely on the cafe to be fully stocked.” Clove looked up at the jagged edges of the canyon high above them, “A kill box? I suppose it’s possible to sabotage and recover what is left for free gains. Best to be sure by peeking at the view from the top.”
Clove sprang up into the air, flying all the way to the top, she did not detect any ki signatures at all, and her demonic sight caught a glimpse of a crane. Upon closer inspection, the cab had a person inside of it without a ki signature, which meant the assault was being led by remote controlled androids. Several quadrupedal metal exoskeletons with glass insect-like wings surrounded the Tea princess immediately as soon as she came into view. It was cowardly to hide, whoever controlled these androids was nowhere in sight. The crane operator android was standing by for something. With little time to assess the situation, Clove ran out of the way of the winged metal machines just long enough to unsheathe her sword from a tear into another dimension, and she pulled out a giant red odachi held by the grip in both of her hands which sliced all the machines in half with one swing.
The machines were a distraction specifically designed for Clove, down below the ground several humanoid assassins pulled a fabric veil painted to match the rock formations, climbed out of holes carved into the canyon walls, and slipped into the convoy truck cabs in perfect unison punching out the lights of drivers hijacking the trucks to speed up the convoy into the forest.

“When you get to decide where and when the violence happens, it goes much better for you. Sitting around and waiting to take it is a bad position to be in.”
Jody listened to what Clove said, things began to make more sense as she explained the increased security. She always thought that it was strange that there was such heavy security for a convoy. Not only the amount of them, because there was a lot this time around, but the quality of them. The contractors with them today were no slouches and they didn’t skimp on the equipment either. The fact that the entire convoy was taken out is also worrisome. Means whoever was targeting them are not your usual run of the mill bandits.
As Clove explained Jody nodded her head. She didn’t respond with anything as she had nothing of value to add. She took the mental note summarizing what she said. Strength is raw power, martial prowess, and courage. As far as she understood that was a whole three layers. Clove must have only given those as an example and there should be more, Jody thought.
Jody didn’t have much to say about the cafe. She felt that it would be weird if she said ‘that’s neat’ to royalty. So she kept her mouth shut on the matter. It was weird to her that someone who tosses their weight around so much would only run a tea shop. Clove sounded like she had the political prowess and ambition to do what she wanted. Maybe it was a franchise? Maybe it’s a really big super cafe. Either way, she found it ironic, and she didn’t know if Clove was the type of person who would go for that. She continued to stand at the front of the truck scanning the area. She doesn’t sense anything, but she doubts that anyone looking to surprise their adversary would make it that easy.
Jody watched the tea princess fly into the air, somewhat jealous of the ability. The corners of her mouth turned downward while her eyes went skyward. The time to be envious was cut short, however, as the bug-like drones shot out from behind the cliff tops that surrounded them.
“Shit.” Jody immediately went to comm in on her radios. Her hand shot into her pocket as she brought out the device. That’s when she saw it, the assassins moving on the ground springing from their concealment. Just like she predicted, this was the kill box. A narrow space with nowhere to run, the only option of pushing forward. “Contact!” was the only word Jody got out before an assassin was right on top of her.
It became an immediate scramble, trucks being hijacked, the contractors opening fire with ki blasts and weapons. It was a sudden tooth and nail fight. The Assassin jet towards her with a flying kick which Jody responded by redirecting his momentum. She grabbed onto his ankle and threw him in his direction of travel with a 180-degree spin. The assassin spun in the air for a moment before regaining his composure and landing on his feet. It gave Jody time to breathe. She focused her Ki into her hands. She felt the surge of power collect into her palms like rushing water crashing into a dam. Her pressure points near her core cooled as the ones in her arms and hands felt like they were brimming with power. In a torrent of Ki blasts, she suppressed one side of the road by her truck. One after the other, with each thrust of her hand an explosion would send rock and dust into the air like shrapnel. The truck underneath swerved, tires making contact with the dirt shoulder of the road. The grinding was unmistakable. The other trucks were hijacked, so she can only assume the unusual movement was due to that.
The canyon was coming to an end, the trees on the horizon were no longer a small green thread. Now they became a wall, the end of the line. As if hearing an echo of her own voice Jody heard ‘Kill box’ ring in her head. She leaped from the container, and her hands like iron clamped down on the top of the cab, cinching it up like it was fabric. Using her momentum she shot her legs through the side window. The window shattered easily, and her foot found purchase on the face of the assassin. With the Hijacker knocked out, she grabbed the driver by the collar, grabbed the wheel and jerked it to one side as quickly as she could. With the speed the truck was carrying it easily tipped over to one side. Just prior to contact with the ground, Jody pulled the driver out and lept to the side of the road. The truck came to a screeching halt, the size of it was more than enough to block off the narrow canyon road. With the only way blocked now, those hijackers have only one way off getting off this canyon road into the forest. That was through Jody. She had made her own kill box, a bottleneck in hopes of reversing this trap on the enemy.
Putting down the driver and leaping onto the sideways truck, she began to refocus her ki once again. The next truck was just moments behind, so Jody shot out the front tire with a powerful blast. Carrying speed, but not nearly as much as before, it barreled into the truck at an awkward angle coming to a stop. Jody had to leap into the air to not have her legs taken out from underneath her. Her efforts worked. The convoy was coming to a screeching halt, some vehicles rear-ending each other in a chorus of metal crunching with metal. Even if the road had enough space to allow a truck to turn the opposite direction, it was near impossible now to do it in a timely manner. Thus, the mad melee began.

The sound of metal hitting metal between the crashing convoy trucks echoed throughout the canyon, the sharp sounds caused a couple of landslides from the top, and Clove watched below momentarily before getting assaulted by another wave of flying insect androids. Based on the sheer number, a fortune had been spent on this criminal this operation in lawless territory, but it was expected by both sides being well prepared for the assault. It was only a matter of time until the combined efforts of the security force, perhaps even some of the drivers who fought back, and Jody stopping anyone from leaving the canyon did they overcome the assassins. However, the trucks were badly damaged in the process. It was a situation where their attempt to divide and conquer would give them the edge necessary to succeed but the path to the forest trail was ultimately cutoff. After several minutes of slicing through androids with her red odachi sword, Clove waved her hand to return it back into a pocket dimension, and she flew back by Jody’s side who punched out the last assassin on her sight. The saiyan woman was in the middle of catching her breath as she utilized every second towards securing the convoy contents but not so much the trucks holding the materials. The security team began handcuffing, zip tying, every perpetrator that attempted to hijack the trucks. “Good job, I believe the androids that held me up were on remote controlled orders to take out the security, while those assassin types hijacked the trucks. Not sure what the crane was for...I assume they regularly steal cargo from this canyon in the past. I have a hunch that there is a base of operations nearby and the rest of my coffee orders are there, especially since the previous armed robberies took place in different parts of the forest. Um, I should probably help with cleaning up this mess before I scan the rest of the perimeter…”Clove walked over to the second truck Jody managed to use to block the entire two lane road, she pulled the engine side of the vehicle out of the ditch and brought it back on the road with one hand. The Tea Princess was no ordinary human being, she had demonic strength, and powers which were rarely seen in the public eye. Underneath the sixteen wheeler truck was a spare tire, she unlatched it, covering herself in black oil stains on exposed parts of her skin, and began to turn the bolt screws of the blown out tire with her finger tips. Thankfully Jody shot the ki blast in such a way that it would only take out the tire and missed the axle of the truck. In a matter of minutes the tire was changed, the rest of the damage was minimal, and the shipping containers were in good condition from her keen crimson eyed observation. “Pass along my regards to Johnny, I am afraid I must depart from the convoy, and search for a hidden base. It might take all night given that the criminal group is using androids, preventing people like us who can detect ki from finding them, and it has to be close enough to signal their commands. The logistics company will deliver the shipments once you arrive in West City, which should be safe from any further threat from here on out.” Clove reached in her pocket and handed Jody a business card with her personal contact information, “If you’re ever looking for work or training feel free to call or text. Take care, it was nice meeting you.”With a smile, she waved a black stained hand, which she used her solid black yukata to wipe clean, an indication that she expected to get quite messy from this encounter, and flew off ahead towards the woods. The only sign for a base was several antennas that were disguised as trees, the metal was painted to match the foliage, and she noticed that they all had one thing in common. The antennas were all peeking out of the tree line canopy and so she used the advantage of going towards each one looking for a sign for a base. Each antenna was set up in a circular perimeter south east of the Great Lake, it was in this location that Clove uncovered a Tuffle Bunker, and she forced open the hatch by ripping the metal off the entrance. Clove could not read Tuffle but she recognized it anywhere as one of the symbols looked like a star shaped fruit and another looked like a mushroom. Tuffle bunkers are hidden all around earth, with technology that predates all the modern advancements that were not available at present, people speculated that Tuffles are just geniuses in keeping their technology secret from the rest of the world, but none of the historical factors interested the tea princess in the slightest. The bunkers held dangerous technologies and whoever had found this one had been using it to sabotage the success of her business which pissed her off. The bunker facility was deep, it stretched deep below the ground, it was a hangar, with a closed ceiling, and the hangar itself had more of the insect androids she crossed paths with. A couple of lab scientists were startled at her arrival, the fact that were in chains meant they were working against their will, all of them were disheveled with growing facial hair, and wild hair. Hope glimmered in their dilated eyes from working an android sweat shop. The mastermind was behind the control room, Clove did not spare a second knock her out, she was an ordinary human who was well dressed in designer clothing. The punch bruised her face instantly, apart from clever, this woman was dragged out towards a helicopter pad in the middle of the hangar. “You’re all going to be alright, I will take you to a hospital right away, and have the police investigate this bunker.” Clove used concentrated ki, to make a small ki blade to cut the chains the scientists were in, and once they were all free she reached in her pocket. Pulling out a DynoCapsule she summoned a helicopter with Tea Clan emblem, while she could personally fly to west city, it would be more comfortable for everyone to ride in the aircraft than be carried. One of the scientists opened the hatch over head, revealing that the trees were hologrammed to cover the entire base, which started to make sense how it was so well hidden. Clove sent her flight path to West City Air control, calling the hospital ahead of time that she rescued emancipated scientists that were being forced to build androids against their will, and that the primary culprit was also in tow. By the time she piloted the helicopter to the hospital tower helipad, the police were on the scene, and with a sigh she would have to give her detailed report on the entire day to cross examine witness accounts. It was at this point that she decided she needed a vacation, all this hero business was draining, and with everything that transpired she had earned it. [1,205] [5,896/6,000]

Jody took the business card with both hands extended and head bowed. Trying to take the business card as graciously as she could. She was glad that she left a good impression or any impression at all with someone so influential. Jody went back through the convoy providing aid to the drivers and the other contractors. They all worked hard in this and risked their lives. After things calmed down she was able to rendezvous with Johnny. She passed on what Clove said to him and they exchanged words of thanks and appreciation. Afterwards Jody retrieved her thing and departed for west city on foot.
