When Arashi woke the next morning, he sat up with a yawn, rubbing his eyes and rubbing some of the dried bear blood from around his mouth. He looked to what remained of the bear he had killed yesterday and got to eat more of it. He was startled to find that by the time he was done eating, he'd finished half the bear. It was more than he expected to eat, but it becomes obvious that his body is growing quickly. He's an inch taller now than he was less than twelve hours ago. He can feel it, the way his body seems to be stretching, slowly, but certainly. His body was burning fuel fast, he'd have to work hard to keep his body sustained, feed to keep up with the energy being burned from the constant growth that he seemed to be facing now. Breathing out, he stepped from the remaining half of the bear, lifting a hand and freezing the bear with a small puff of magic. With the bear meat now froze he moved to leave the cave. The storm had finally come to an end. The forest outside was still chilly, some of the water dripping off the leaves of trees was frozen. The rest was cold dew. His feet sloshed through the icy wet grass, but it, of course, didn't bother him. Making his way out farther from the cave into the forest, he intended to hunt for more food. He'd been wrong thinking the bear would last him a few days. Clearly, he was going to need a lot more food, so it was time to start a stockpile of meat he supposed. Rabbits, deer, dinosaur, whatever he could find. He knew about animals, he knew about the kinds of life in this world there were, but only the basic nature of those animals. He'd still never met one after all. Though it didn't especially concern him. He did eventually use some of the water to clean the blood from his face and body though, the way the blood dried and flaked from him was just annoying. But after that he walked on, feet sloshing through the tall wet grass.

Cayle Pota was not some sort of guardian of the Earth. It would be ridiculous to even call him a guardian of the Southern Islands as a whole, and positively ludicrous to call him a guardian of a corporate playground and amusement park kingdom that somehow became a real major nation – yet here he was in Pilaf Land searching for a threat which only he and a few others knew.
Master Daiko had mentioned feeling the energy of the mysterious shiver in time and space which might be another rip in the veil between the multiverses, and so Cayle moved to check it out. He had not even heard all of the things the other collected group had encountered in the Shadow Temple, but just what he had heard and seen from his own shadow made him cautious about this situation. So he flew from the penthouse Hotel room's balcony he was sharing with Tiger Lily as he set up the Taco King franchise locations within Pilaf Land, and towards the large forested area which was kept largely as a preserve by the Pilaf Corporation and occasionally used for camping or for 'Pilaf Scouts' to have their jamborees and jambalayas out at.
He felt a low level but still super class power level pressure even from this far out in the field, and began to suppress his own power level to be able to get more of a drop on the figure, or figures rather than firing a massive flare saying 'hey! I'm very powerful and I'm here to ruin your day!'
He continued to fly through the multi-story tall trees, past the streams, and found himself in awe of this pristine wilderness, before putting himself down near a cleared out area with picnic tables.

Arashi had not even though to use his ability to sense. He didn't expect that there was anything out here for him to need to worry about it. If one of these animals could do more than bat him around a little then he would probably give their aura a look, but until that point, he was very much leaving himself unaware of anyone making their approach to him. He didn't bother to hide his aura either, though this was also something he could do. He practically displayed his power like a peacock, proud of his power.
He flicked a hand in a direction, pinning a now dead snake to the trunk of a tree by its skull. Its body gave a few last quivers in death as Arashi approached humming with satisfaction as his arm before taking hold of the snake, letting the ice he shot melt to water before shoving the head of the small snake into his mouth, and sucking the thing down like a fat noodle, and a single gulp. It was a nice little snack, but he was definitely going to need more. So on he went, searching for more prey.
However as he walked he caught the scent of something in the air, and it did not smell like an animal to him. So he paused before jumping into a tree, climbing up into the highest branches to look at the sky and ground below the trees, catching sight of something flying. Who, or what was that? Somehow he knew what a human was supposed to smell like to, and this person didn't smell like a person either. The scent was new, foreign to him. Nothing in his genetic memory told him what this could be. It could be a threat... Should he try to shoot it down? It might just be passing by too. And it didn't look like something or someone he would want to eat. Humanoid things were more trouble than they were worth to eat. Kill one and a hundred would come, so his genetic memory warned him.
So he dropped back down to the ground, choosing to hide behind a group of trees, trying to watch the man thing through the tops of the trees.

Ty woke up from her slumber, suppressing the memories of the shadow temple, and occupying her mind with Pilaf Cartoon reruns. The business trip Cayle resumed extended their week long stay in Pilaf Land, while she enjoyed the theme park, and met new friends along the way she missed being home. The only thing close to a home was the tree house, in the forest, built on a tree with high enough spirit energy that she could lock on its ki signature. After some thought she pulled up her c-phone to determine if the raptors hatched, after she had been watching the eggs through a camera for a while, and when she looked only the shells were left under the heat lamp. It was exciting news, so she texted Cayle about checking up on the raptors, and flew out the hotel window. The tree house was on the southern part of the forest, overlooking a cliffside coastal view of the southern islands, she could detect that Cayle was in a nearby cabin park by a waterfall, and kept going. Upon arrival of the raptor coop, there were four small raptors eating the feed she left, and she was delighted by how small they were compared to an adult. Soon enough these hatchlings would grow large enough to lay eggs. However, among them was a single male which would not lay eggs, it was debatable whether to keep him in the coop or separate him to be eaten. Ty opened the gate to the enclosed coop Achido had built. The orange haired teenage girl plucked the male raptor after it was wandering about and exited the coop. Pulling out her DynoCapsule case, she looked through the digital catalogue to see what would make a fitting pet house, it seemed a cat tree made the most sense since these raptors lived on cliffsides. While she browsed the bird managed to slip from her grip and took off. “Oh no you don’t! You can’t outrun me but I will give you a bit of head start!” Ty closed the capsule case, and limbered up before running after it. After several minutes into the woods, she noticed it was running towards Cayle, which was peculiar, and she caught it in time to find Arashi. As far as she could tell this mysterious person was suppressing their ki signature, it was coincidence that the raptor had led her to this very spot to find him, and she smiled. “Hello.” Is all Ty could say to him, he was hiding in the shadows so she could not see what he was wearing, or what he looked like with the tree canopy blocking the afternoon sun. The raptor squawked annoyingly from being captured trying to break free. “Your home is the other way.” Ty spoke to the raptor bird. [468]

Arashi was surprised to hear someone speak behind him. He wasn't suppressed, but maybe he was weak enough to the woman to seem as though he was. Being a newborn monster and all.
Even if she could only see his silhouette from the canopy shade from which he stood, a few things must have stood out at least. For one thing, the horns on his head, and the wings though both were small, so maybe they were less obvious than Arashi figured they would be.
She had greeted him, he was not entirely sure how to reply, considering what he could say, or if he wanted to say anything at all. Should he greet her back? He supposes he might as well.
"Greetings." He said simply, his voice deeper than what might have been expected from a six-year-old body. His voice was smooth and rich. Like a teenager who had matured and grown out of their breaking voice, the start of a young man. Although for Arashi, his voice would always sound the same as it did now. It would not become any deeper than it already was even if his body did grow.
He noticed the beast in her arms, unsure what she was doing with it. "Are you going to eat that?" He asked, eyeing the dinosaur hungrily. There was still the man in the sky, he wasn't sure what to do about him though, and this woman had already found him. So he figured that at this point hiding would be impossible.

He had floated through the tree tops, but stopped near the cabins and park benches used by the Pilaf Scouts some minutes ago. He had of course passed one of the wild monkeys in the tree and tapped it on the back while he was still in the air, leaving a minute amount of his spirit energy and scent upon it, but that trick wouldn't last for long, even with the spiritual energy keeping the sweat and scent on the monkey for the moment as he looked for the spiritual energy, any alien scent, anything he could use to detect the alien presence that he had come out here looking for.
So he trudged towards it, silent as he did up until the point the signature's source came in a sight and he saw a child talking to Tiger Lily. As he heard the words, he wondered what sort of wild child the being had to be to immediately jump to wanting to eat a new born raptor chick, how hungry could he be?
Cayle didn't think that anything connected to the shadow anomaly and the fractures it had created was innately evil or dangerous, and he had seen many varied creatures on the planet, even other members of what he assumed was one of the many 'monster' races of Earthling. No one is scary like a hungry member of the Giran tribe demanding two hundred number 6 platters to go with no prior notice, so Cayle didn't act as if he thought the man was a threat. Even Tiger Lily, on her own, could potentially handle him in a fight, and as such it would be fine to simply deal with the kid in the polite manner.
“You can't, he's just a chick, but you can come back with us to our cabin and we can make you something more proper to eat. Have you had stew before?” he said, and stopped talking to pick up a rock and unleash his spiritual energy for just a moment, reaching back and throwing the rock as if it was a fast ball pitch. Suddenly a thud could be heard about three hundred feet away and some birds took to the air as Cayle had just fell one of the forest's deer.
“How about some deer stew?” said the Saiyan former farm boy turned would-be warlord and vice-president of Taco King before flying towards the deer carcass to grab it.

“Cayle, you’re here.” The teenage saiyan tilted her head as he responded to mysterious boy and she added her opinion to the conversation. “He is right, it just hatched, that would be barbaric if it’s only purpose to life is to be eaten in the first few minutes.” Ty pouted hugging the creature tighter, “If you’re hungry do want to go hunting with Cayle? We have a treehouse nearby fully outfitted for the outdoors. I also have a candy bar if you want it.”
Ty reached inside her black sweater and pulled out a caramelized cream bar, it was a golden hue with pretzel pieces, she extended the package out to the young child with the teen voice, she did not question his appearance, as she enjoyed meeting new people generally. “My name is Tiger Lily but my friends call me Ty. What is your name?”
The orange haired teenage girl smiled briefly, in that moment she looked as if she was burst full of energy, but was still rather weary from her last encounter with an alternate version of herself. There were dark circles under her eyes, her eyelids were heavy over her ocean teal irises, and she yawned a bit as she extended her hand out still holding the candy bar.
“Say, are you out here all alone? Where are your parents? We should ask them for permission for you to be with us out here in the woods, they might be worried if you scamper off without telling them.”

"I am Arashi." He said looking between the two of them. Unsure how to feel about these people. They were offering him food though, so he felt a little less cautious, even if the invitation for food didn't mean he could trust them. It could be a trap. But he got the sense these two were stronger than he was by a wide range. Which was mildly infuriating, but ultimately meaningless. He was new for now, but one day he would be ancient and powerful. His power would only grow.
"Stew... I don't know what that is." He said bluntly. After all, he'd been eating raw meat. Hot and fresh, or chilled and crunchy. He didn't care much how it was cooked, or even if it was cooked.
"I want food. I need more... What I have is not enough." He stated as he waited to follow them, eyes flicking between them. These two seemed to know each other.
He wondered about the new chick... He supposed they were right, it was pretty small. It would do very little to fill him. If it grew larger first it would make a much better meal then. He wasn't in a rush anyway. If he could find more animals like the bear, that would be great. He hoped these two made a lot of food. His stomach already grumbled with the desire for food. The rabbit he ate had hardly done anything for him.

The buck deer which Cayle had executed in a single pin point energy blast was big enough to be called 'twice the size' of Arashi, and so the Saiyan former farm boy simply smirked at the newcomer as he said he did not have enough food. “Follow us our tree house, then. You don't have to stay there anymore than you want to, but if you're hungry it's easier than trying to hunt on your own. Stews are delicious and have more calories than other foods. It's a type of semi-liquid meal with chunks of vegetables and solids within it.” the icy blue eyed Saiyan said before beginning to trudge towards the tree house, assuming that on foot would be the most comfortable posture for the three of them to travel in. Even with the strength of a saiyan of his power, a huge deer carcass was unwieldy and it was not as if he was considering to fly with a bottle of water. This would take a lot of work. So he simply lead them forward, speaking as he did. “I'm Cayle, Cayle Pota. This is Tiger Lily Kalabasa, or Ty as many call her. What's your name, kiddo?” Cayle said as he marched forward. The raptor chick was tied with twine at the ankle, then placed on the ground, the other end of the twice was tied around a hook attached to her messenger bag. Since the boy did not take the candy bar earlier, she removed the top of the wrapper, and peeled it half way down the bar attempting to hand it over again.
“You can have this for now, Arashi. Once you get your fill of food, you need to tell us where your parents might be, they must be worried that you’re all alone in the woods.”
Cayle kept talking like it was common for little boys to hunt in the woods alone, earthlings were raised by their parents or guardians until they graduated school, and she puffed her cheek for a minute to take a deep breath. “Uh, a kid his age, on earth, does not simply live inside a cave in the woods living from whatever they hunt. He was born from two parents, this is pilaf land, maybe he got separated, and lost. It is not a common occurrence so we should contact the police as soon as possible.”
Tiger Lily extended her free hand, offering to take Arashi’s hand, and escort him through the woods following after her boyfriend.

Arashi tilted his head at Cayle, asking for the name that Arashi had already given again. Was he not listening? Very strange, but he decided it didn't matter and so said it again. "My name is Arashi."
He was ready to follow them back to their home. Food was being offered and he would not be turning it down regardless of his potential suspicions. These people didn't seem as though they would turn and attack him, but he knew what he was, and he knew that his kind had been hunted and attacked for what they were as much as what they did in the past. He could feel the history in his blood. Some of his ancestors had been friendly enough, living near, or even among humankind, others had been horrors, monsters with limitless bloodlust who slew and consumed humans without mercy and gained power from the battles that followed when families of those that had been killed became powerful and chased them to the ends of the Earth.
Arashi had not meant to ignore the candy bar, although at first, he had not been sure what she was offering him. It didn't look like meat, so he hadn't even thought it was food. But when she offered it more directly he finally took it, looking the candy over with interest. "This is food?" He asked, clearly having never seen a candy bar before. But he took a bite of it, crunching it between his sharp teeth curiously, eyes squinting as he took in the flavor that sat on his tongue. It wasn't as good as meat but it was... Pleasant. He decided he liked it, and so took two more large bites and the candy bar was stuffed in his mouth, being crunched, and chewed.
When he could finally speak, he tilted his head at the thought of parents. "Hmm, my parents are dead I think. They are also in a place where I cannot reach them. Mother seen father die, mother was dying when she tossed my egg into the void. It seems that not even the place between dimensions was a safe place for my kind to be born anew, and my parents lacked the power to survive when a challenger showed themselves." He had most of his most recent memories from his mother. Even after he was an egg, she could link herself with him, share thoughts and memories. It was a bond between mother and child. When she died as he was tossed into the void to end up in this world, he felt the bond between them snap as her life faded, the last words she wanted him to hear echoing in his mind "Be careful, young one. Be strong, be brave, survive at all costs."
When Lily offered her hand, he looked at her hand, then her, then her hand again before reaching for it. Finding that she wanted to lead him by hand, which he supposed he didn't mind. He wasn't sure what she was talking about though. He would have lived with his parents for a few years, growing to maturity, but he would have been expected to do his hunting alone, except for maybe his first or second meal before being pushed to go on his own, and bring back food he needed. Battle, and food were the main sources of growth right now. The more power he gained, the more quickly he would grow.

Cayle wasn't omnipresent, and being a youthful and sharp minded Saiyan didn't mean he was infallible. He had heard the name but not remembered it or not caught it into his mental cage of comprehension. The icy blue eyed Saiyan continued to carry the deer, listening to the words from the young man even more focusedly now.
Tiger Lily's objections made sense, but then again to Cayle, so did the boy's responses. If someone could be dragged into one of those Shadow Anomalies, then it made sense. Not that a hundreds of year old Saiyan who looked like a young adult or late teenager and who had spent most of his being in cryostasis would judge what was 'logical' when someone said something to be the truth and weren't obviously lying, like saying 'The Banana is blue' when it was yellow.
Soon, they were at the edge of the property they had bought in Pilaf Land, their tree house above them and the Saiyan walking to a brick fire pit in silence before dropping the deer and flying to the balcony of the Tree House to get his knives, foldable table pans and ingredients.
“You're safe here.” he would say before he left for the tree house's balcony.
It would be a moment before he returned, for sure. Not even a Saiyan could gather everything in a split second.

It seemed removing the wrapper from the chocolate, helped the boy understand it was food, after one small bite he shoved the rest of it in his mouth, and she tilted her head when he looked at her hand with the same zest as the candybar but understood she was offering it to hold his hand rather than to eat. A soft sigh escaped her lips as he decided to hold her hand as they walked through the forest together. In no time at all, they reached the cliff’s edge, the southern islands could be seen for miles, further down the cliffs were more of the raptor birds nesting in the wild. However, the feathered raptor bird she tugged along was part of a gated pen with more kept inside. Apart from the tree house, built over a powerful sapling of might which had its own ki signature, there were two robots tending a vegetable garden, and the remainder of the birds.
The red headed teenager listened to Arashi explain his parents were dead and that he was born out of an egg which explained his small stature. Was he just born in the middle of the woods from an egg? It seemed odd but based on the things he was saying it was quite possible and the only way they could find out the truth about his origin was to ask. It was important to uncover the truth since then they would have to decide what to do next, Cayle was used to finding children saiyan kept in cryostasis in Tuffle bunkers, but this was not exactly the same since Arashi was revealed to be an orphan.
“Did you just hatch from your egg?” Ty tilted her head, she took a seat on a log near the firepit Cayle started, next to the deer carcass, and motioned for Arashi to also take a seat releasing his hand as soon as he did.
“Cayle is a chef, do you want to wait a little bit longer for him to cook something tasty for you to eat? When food is processed and cooked it tastes better. So the venison will be tasty when Cayle prepares it.” Ty pulled out more chocolate bars from her satchel, placing them in the space between them on the log, “You can eat more of these after peeling off the wrapper first, it keeps it fresh, it’s made from cacao beans from a tree, and it makes a variety of dishes. I sometimes like to melt it in milk to make hot cocoa or on rare occasions Cayle makes ‘mole’ which is a type of chocolate curry.”
While they waited, the white robot approached them picking up the runaway raptor bird, detaching it from the twine it was tied to, and returned to its pen as all of them were ankle tagged. [476] [1,409] Cayle Pota ArashiAttachments:

"I hatched two days ago... I think." He said having not really kept track of time. But he was pretty sure the sun had set twice in the time since he hatched. But it might have also just been yesterday that he hatched.
He tried to recall the events a bit. He had hatched, explored the woods, found a cave with a bear in it, killed the bear, ate the bear, froze the bear to keep it fresh for a while to keep eating. And then he was not entirely sure how long he had slept. Two days was close enough regardless.
And then the next question came and he frowned. Torn between eating as soon as possible, or waiting a little bit to get something even better than something raw. Eventually sighing he replied, "I'll wait for the cooked food." He decided.
When more chocolate was offered he wasted little time in ripping the wrapper off and tossing it aside. The chocolate lasted less than a moment after that, shoved into his greedy sharp-toothed mouthed, chewed a few times then swallowed before moving onto the next candy bar. However many she put out, he would eat them all as quickly as he could, and seemed as though he was not going to lose his appetite any time soon.
Before he had met these two he had eaten half a bear. His need to feed would only become stronger as he grew until he hit maturity anyway. He could already feel his body slowly shifting. He might have grown an inch, maybe two inches since hatching. His growth would be rapid so long as he continued to survive and gain power.
These two seemed like they were pretty strong, so maybe they could make him strong too. He wasn't entirely sure what he wanted to do yet, but he knew that once he had the power for it he wanted to do something big, something important.

So there was a stew pan that humans used, then there was a cauldron that someone like Lilith or Kiryu used for potions, then there was a Saiyan stew pot. It might as well be called a car, because it's size was comparable to a small 'beetle bug' style round topped car, and soon Cayle was floating to the ground carrying his stew pot, with his chef's utensils and apron on him, and a bag of fifty pounds of potatoes, as well as similar sized bags of carrots, onions, garlic, celery, rice, and peppers. In addition to that, smaller bags of seasonings and some buckets to carry water.
After he set up the soup car-uldron, he set up a table to put all the ingredients on, as well as his tools. Then he built up fire wood under the stew pot and lit the fire, before moving to gather a few dozen buckets of fresh water the stew and setting them down in a circle near the table before he began to skin, and otherwise butcher the deer. He did it with skill which would likely surprise either of them, not saying a word as he focused on it and as he took out the offal and the instines, using one of the buckets of water to clean them and then chopping the offal and regular venison, onions, uncooked rice and some spicy cheeses as well as salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder before stirring the chopped mixture and stuffing it into the cleaned instine casings to make sausages with. He hung the sausages over the cauldron on a rack which was made just for that.
Then as the sausages slowly cooked by ambient heat, dripping delicious grease into the pan below, Cayle began to chop the remaining meat of the deer up as well as onions, garlic, peppers, carrots, celery, and and peppers. Putting in the veggies first, he let them glaze for a moment before adding the meat and potatoes as well as spices and flour, and after they had begun to brown, he added eight buckets of the water, before covering the cauldron for the moment and turning the sausages. Then, he used one of the buckets of water to clean the stew plates he had brought as well as eating utensils and cooking utensils, and the other he gestured for Tiger Lily and Arashi to wash up with.
After the stew had a bit of time to brown, in liquid color, he dropped in the rice, to give it time to cook without over cooking or becoming soggy.
“Sorry it took a moment, I hope that you enjoy it.” he said to the two of them.
