Zaru was shocked to see that Atalan still had life in him; any life. The martial artist soon found himself being carried through the air like a torpedo heading downwards. He reached down, attempting to wrench himself free of the baron's grip, but he wasn't fast enough. His body collided with the ground head first, and the plateau ended up with a crater that exploded from the impact point, where he had been buried into the ground from the waist-up. He was disoriented and unable to tell where he was, surrounded by darkness with even his ability to sense ki being seriously hampered.
He groaned quietly as though he was waking up and blinked his eyes as he was lifted out by his legs, then immediately ripped from his drowsiness as he was spun like a top, unable to stop it at all before finding himself rocketing through the air. What was going on? He was in control moments ago. He knew what had happened, even if he wasn't saying it out loud. He had let his anger get the better of him, even as it beat wildly in his heart. Zaru knew he was going to kill Atalan here; no matter what it made him, this demon ended here and now.

He grimaced, his teeth gritting as he realised blood was now dripping from his mouth, too. It hurt, hurt a lot. He couldn't believe he'd done this to himself. There was nothing for it, then; he had to correct his mistake, and end this now. He had to use one of the techniques he'd studied a long time ago, not from a normal martial art. It was hundreds of years old, from the teachings of an assassin, a man with no interest in care or supremacy, just efficiency.

His boots were still thankfully intact, even as his entire torso was now bare and his gi's trousers were torn up pretty bad along with it. He panted for a moment before he took a deep breath, beginning to approach Atalan once more at the same pace as the Baron walked towards him. His eyes narrowed as his body seemed to tense and tighten, his ki concentrating and his aura becoming almost menacing as it subsided, wrapping tightly around him.
Taking a martial arts stance closer to the Crane Style than that of the typical Turtle Style foundations he had often relied, Zaru's eyes darkened as Atalan got close enough. He tapped into that darkness in his heart once more, but not with wild fury as before; there was discipline and malice rolled together, the soul of a martial artist and the heart of a killer. Zaru suddenly jabbed his fingers towards a spot on Atalan's side and then began a flurry of blows; they mixed between jabbing fingers and fists, but they all aimed to strike at very specific points along Atalan's torso.

The martial artist's fist almost seemed to vibrate as he showed that same cold ruthlessness on his face. At the moment, there appeared to be no damage on Atalan whether or not his strikes connected; the Baron would not even feel any of it, not for the first few seconds.
