The basics of setting up a living situation for the group of Saiyans which were former living test subjects at the hands of the Tuffle Science Executive were largely over for the short term, with the group finding jobs which suited them and getting donations from those who were associated with or knew the likes of Carlos Alfonso De La Reyes and the rest of the members of the Taco King restaurant franchise.
So for the first day in a long time, perhaps the first time since he was a child, the Saiyan would-be warrior found himself walking through the world without a requirement of responsibility to deal with things or without the ability to make the choice of things for himself.
Cayle Pota, son of Pota Potaset, was without a care for once in his life, if only for the moment. The icy blue eyed Saiyan found himself sitting in a park and wondering at the future. Was he really able to waste the time that he was doing what he was, or was that putting at risk all the hundreds of other Saiyans which the Tuffle Science Executive and its sister organizations had abducted over the course of the War for Planet Plant in those centuries before.
How many of his fellow cryogenically frozen Saiyans were still out there, suffering at the hands of the Tuffle Science Executive or otherwise waiting for him to free them? With the power he had gained so far could he really ignore their peril? The dark brown haired Saiyan let a sigh come forth as he thought about it, before moving to stand up from the parch bench. Today was largely a day without many people in the coastal park in South City which he had chosen to spend this portion of his day in, and because of that he took the moment to begin doing something that was both relaxing and productive. Martial Arts Kata, or at least the unschooled equivalent which he practiced- being an untaught martial artist as he was.
As the waves crashed against the shore, he threw punches, one after another and as the caws of seagulls and albatross could be heard in the sky above he followed up with arm bars, knee thrusts, kicks, stomps. It was all against fictional enemies, the wholly imagined sorts, but that was his only option at the moment and it would do him just fine for what it was- this exact moment and time.
In silence he continued for what felt like hours, not stopping as others passed through the park or even slowing his pace as they did. Because even if he did know them, there was no reason to hide who and what he was, or who and what he could do. That was a concern for other people, because he was not trying to hide what he was to the average person of Earth, despite the fact that Carlos Alfonso had suggested that he do so.
Threats were omnipresent no matter how strong you were, Cayle might as well make sure that minor threats knew better than to mess with he and his. So as the sun moved across the sky and the tides shifted, Cayle continued his series of imagined punches, kicks, jabs, dodges, blocks, headbutts, tail slaps and any other strike which he could practice to strength himself. After he had repeated the series of practice movements easily a hundred times, he moved on to running across the stony beach, moving from one stone to another without slowing down and making sure to keep his balance. He continued this until he had finished at least a dozen laps around the perimeter of the park's area, and then he went back to practicing his martial arts movements, repeating the punches, kicks, jabs, blocks, throws, and other movements so that when he needed to use them he would not need to think about it but would instead just be able to use it without hesitation.

Ty was unconscious inside a speedboat after hitting the cliffside of the southern mainland, she was hoping to check out pilaf land, but found trouble when she shifted her focus in driving the vessel properly. Growing up was hard, she discovered that right after she made the decision to leave home, and she really just wanted to get out by living on her own which was off to a great start. With a groan she sat up feeling the large goose egg on the back of her head, she winced her ocean teal eyes when she touched it, and sighed as she rolled her body over the boat’s edge feeling like a slug. After a few minutes of recovery she finally found the energy to look around, based on all the greenery she figured she was back in the south Islands archipelago much to her disappointment. Even while she was unconscious her mind went dark, not even a dream, or a memory filled her thoughts.
Looking beyond the tree line she saw the city skyscrapers that indicated that fate had decided she was destined for this place and it was not at all what she imagined it to be. Out of frustration Ty kicked the boat’s hull dislodging it from the rocks it crash landed in and she started to panic as she was drifting back into the sea. At this rate the waves would carry her all the way back home and so she started the engine. It started up but looking at the gas meter it had run out of fuel when she first arrived to the mainland. The speedboat did not go far in the end stopping right next to a park full of tourists and locals. Glancing over she noticed someone exercising martial arts but there was some kind of aura Ty often felt with her father that made her think he was capable of the same abilities she had been wanting to learn since today.
Without a second thought she leaped out of the boat which continued drifting out to sea on its own. While Cayle was potentially masking his power level signature, Ty had no idea what that entailed, as the aura she was sensing was similar to her saiyan father but different and it was only detected for a second. Perhaps if she was nice enough to this stranger she could get a lift to her destination as she was starting to run out of options. Or at least be taught of what was required to be able to fly into the air so she could get there on her own.
“Um… you do not know me but I lost my way while heading out to Pilaf land. I was wondering if a typhoon hit the island. After I left home the storm was headed this way. I only brought about a thousand zeni to spend on traveling and was hoping you could help me get there?”
The half saiyan was completely out of her element when it came to strangers, everyone knows that the police were a safe contact, and everything she openly divulged would be taken advantage of by anyone who was corrupt in the world. More specifically telling someone how much money you had was a major problem but she seemed quite passive about it when she said it. The lack of social skills were a direct result of not interacting with anyone besides her parents and simply reading too much world history instead of novels to understand the proper behavior of civil etiquette. After some though she nervously ran her fingers through her intensely orange hair kept loosely in a side ponytail while waiting for a response, blinking a few times with a solemn expression, and then looked surprised when she realized her mistake.
“My name is Ty nice to meet you. What is your name?”

Cayle was aware, or at least had been told, that there was little ability by the average human to detect power level- at least that was what he had understood from looking up things on the 'internet' with the help of Carlos Alfonso de La Reyes and the others at Taco King. They had themselves looked at him like he was speaking some sort of alien language when he said the words 'power level detection' and asked what the average power level of humans actually was.
So he had not bothered to suppress his power level, he rarely ever did. As he was putting his body through training he saw no need to complicate things by slowing the action down by putting a dampener on putting his all into the fight. So as he continued his series of jogging, punches, kicks, knees, jumping jacks, squats, and other exercises in the park he was not even paying much attention. He did not notice the first sounds of someone shouting at him from a boat- or at least he hadn't allowed the words to register across his consciousnesses. It was not until the second statement that he realized that she was actually talking to him and responded, dusting his baggy, navy blue colored basketball shorts of for a moment and thought of what she said.
“I don't have any spare Zeni if that's what you are asking for... and I don't know how to drive a- whatever that is.” he pointed to the boat, something he had seen before since his arrival on Earth, but which he had not bothered to find out the name of despite having rode on one several times. “And I am Cayle Pota, himself son of Pota Potaset, himself son of Potaset Potaset, himself son of Potaset Pota.”

”No, I would never ask anyone for zeni. It’s just that you have the same aura as my father...and he knows how to fly great distances between islands...so I thought you might be able to as well? I know that sounds strange to you but...I'm certain he is no ordinary human, which means I might not be either, and by the sound of your long list of names, you are worse off socially compared to me.” Ty gasped realizing she said the last part out loud, “Ah I am sorry! People do not normally explain their entire lineage so...openly. Granted, I only ever met a handful of people, I realize my approach is off as well.”
The orange haired teenager stammered as she was rambling on and took a breather for a minute to clear her head, “My birthday is next week. There is a theme park called Pilaf Land in the Southern Lands. Do you think you can fly me there? I can treat you to something nice in exchange for your help.”
It was clear that she was telling the truth and there was no fine detail that would make her out to be half saiyan just on her appearance alone. The only clue that would allow Cayle to know who she was, would be the name her father called her, Kuri which was a type of pumpkin, and as a result forced her to take on a nickname in the first place; since both of her parents gave her an identity crisis by calling her different names.

The insulting of his method of introducing himself, open or otherwise, made the Saiyan former farm boy twitch an eyebrow for a moment as the legendary anger of Saiyans boiled up for a moment. Without a word, he considered rectifying the slight to his honor, but then realized that humans had no concept of honor in the same way- they weren't like Saiyans, they were closer to Tuffles in most of their methodology and actions.
So the icy blue eyed Saiyan held back that flicker of anger and simply let himself display his moment of emotion with a shrug, looking at her through the edges of his eyes for a moment before speaking up to clarify.
“To my people, lineage is important, very important. So it isn't odd at all what I did, any more than having a one syllable name is odd for you.” He thought of the rest of her words, now having stopped his working out, before snorting. Flying was possible, certainly, but that was the realm of the Saiyan elite, not someone like himself- and he was sure it was possible for Humans to learn it as well, but nonetheless he did not discount the words that she said. He simply crossed his arms and tilted his head, wrapping his dark brown fur covered tail around his waist as he did and thinking.
“I mean, I suppose I could fly you to this place you talk about, if I knew how to fly and if we knew which way it was from South City, but those are both big ifs. I don't have one of those air-eo-planes that you Earthlings possess, nor know how to fly them.”
He did not bother to explain himself further, but instead looked to the cliff face at the edge of the park. The simplest way to try to fly would be to drop and apply ki to himself, though he was not sure if it was that simple in the first place. He was after all a peasant, the lowest of the low class of Saiyans in the hierarchy of the prior homeworld of the Saiyans, Planet Vegeta, and he did not have much confidence in his innate ability to do -anything-. He was sure that he could learn to fly if he trained hard enough and tried hard enough, but given he had only ever seen the warrior elite do it before, it seemed unlikely that it would happen.
Emptying his pockets of the Capsule Phone that Carlos Alfonso had lent him and the wallet that had a few Zeni to buy food with while he went around, he stepped to the edge of the cliff and waited for the redheaded young lady to get in position to watch or comment. He was not used to the guile of city dwellers so he did not think much of the possibilities of people stealing his valuables that had been left on the edge of the cliff.

”Who are your people?”Her words trailed off as she finally noticed his tail, she stared at it while it wrapped around his waist, and that was all the affirmation she needed to determine he was not human after all. After a while she thought she was certain she saw her father have one as well but was too young to remember seeing it clearly since it had been kept hidden since. Reflecting on the history for her final exam she had no recollection of anyone having tails except for demons and beastmen so maybe she skipped a chapter on accident; it was just as well since she could learn all about it from a variable source. Ty followed after Cayle as he went over to a grassy edge, overlooking the sandy beach, and it was roughly a single story high from here.
“I have a feeling I am close to achieving flight myself. No need for airplanes. It has to do with applying ki energy since it’s easy to step into the air, it is just a matter of concentration… and the extra weight I am going to add on to you by catching the ride. So thanks for even trying it.”
Ty expended her ki as she leaped off the edge, concentrating it on her feet, every time she released a burst of energy she stepped up as if climbing invisible steps into the air, and she smiled then effortlessly dragon dashing about. “It is not just a single syllable name. It is short for Tiger Lily… if you want to call me that instead.”
She continued to climb upwards with each leg until she ran out of concentration to free fall down into the beach leaving a crater of sand in her wake. The sand picked up into the air, coating her with it, she closed her eyes, and shook her head to loosen it off herself like some kind of pet. Her intensely orange hair became free of sand and she was able to look up at Cayle afterwards. She wondered how talented he might have been with his current power level to fly.

“That sounds pretty scientific.” the Saiyan said towards her explanation of how flight would work, taking note that like many human beings, she seemed to have a good head on her shoulders. Most Saiyans would not be able to explain even the beginnings of such a process with actual words. Cayle was of course not your average Saiyan so could himself understand that as well, but did not bother to say such a thing. He simply gave a nod to her before answering the question she had given him before he had climbed up the cliff side.
“They are called Saiyans. Based on what I've read and heard, there are some of us on your planet, albeit I don't know how many. I can't really tell you much more about us as a group until I know your baseline of knowledge, though.” he said before listening to the rest of what she said and blinking, stopping his action for a moment to think on what she said. So far in his experience with humans, he had not heard of any who actually knew of Ki or Spiritual Energy, none the less the control of them.
So, he simply gave a nod. Maybe this girl knew more than what she seemed to know, if she knew of Ki, maybe it was simply enough to push your spiritual energy and keep it in a steady pace to fly, “Tiger Lily, eh? Not that Ty is a bad name, in and of itself.” He said, before beginning to focus his breath and speak no longer, walking to the edge of the cliff side before focusing his spiritual energy throughout the edges of his body, flowing through his pores but not allowing it to sit still for long. Then he leaped off the cliff and found himself flying, not controlled falling as he expected but instead zooming, the Saiyan not paying attention to where he was going and soon finding himself slamming into the redheaded young woman without even slowing, finding himself caught up in a clump with her and also soon finding his lips connecting with hers, if only for a moment.
His face heated, and he was not sure why, exactly but he froze where he was, carrying them both off the ground but still clumped together.

“By baseline knowledge is none ...for some reason I did not learn about Saiyans in the history books I was reading… but I am beginning to suspect that it was intentional. I have a reason to believe my parents were keeping things from me.” Ty managed to say while she was still in the air and landed in a crater of sand.
While her eyes remained on how Cayle focused his immersive energy to take flight, what happened seconds later, made her entire life flash through her mind. While he made an attempt to pick her up off the ground suddenly, her orange hair became a curtain between them, and she could almost feel her heart stop for a second until it began beating really fast as her lips locked with his. Growing up she witnessed her parents several times display her affections through kissing because they were married. However, she never imagined that she would be kissing a stranger so unexpectedly. Relying on her human instincts, she hugged his neck, and kissed him again feeling her face flush when she did. It was a wonderful yet indescribable feeling and she felt she could trust him just from this single moment alone.
“You did it, you’re flying.” Ty blinked a few times as she pulled away slightly, her fingers looped her fluttering orange hair as she raised her black hood to draw it away as he continued his flight path while embracing her, and she was feeling rather nervous to say anything else at this point. “Aren’t you moving a little too fast? While it felt rather nice... I don’t know anything about you, not even your favorite color, and I am not ready...for that. So where are you taking me, right now?”

That seemed strange to him, because some other humans did know what a Saiyan was. In fact, the pink haired witch that he had fought to defend the people of the village which they both happened to be in when she began freezing passerby because they couldn't tell her where something called “Kame House” was. That snooty human girl had went so far as to try to stereotype him as some sort of dumb monkey just because some other Saiyans did indeed fit that bill of description. So this red head having never even heard about them in history books made him somewhat surprised. He would have gasped, if not for the situation they were in moment's after she said that, but those thoughts were flowing through his mind as well as several others when they scooted through the air at speeds which made them find themselves at the edge of the park's beachfront in no time at all.
To her hugging against him, he didn't resist, instead hugging her close to help hold her up as they skid through the air, but soon after she broke the kiss and mentioned that he was indeed flying, before going further, his nostril's flared three times rapidly and his face flushed. He almost dropped her right out of his arms and into the sea at that, because he knew the fundamentals of what she meant, but that was not his intention at all. When he had children, it would only be when he was ready- and his partner was, and it would probably not be for many years given the situations which stretched as long threats in front of him and his fellow former living test subjects at the hands of the Tuffle Science Executive. Cayle had responsibilities to attend to, and it should have been no wonder that he was silent but flew them back with even greater speed to the park and to her boat, to drop her off for the moment.
It wasn't that he had decided not to help her, but the sudden realization that he had the power and capabilities of a Saiyan Elite was enough on his mind without the accident that had turned into an implication of proposal by the girl. “I can't be sure with humans, but I know for a fact that's not how creating offspring or what I think you were implying works with Saiyans. Not simply a kiss. And I had three siblings before we were abducted by the Tuffle Science Executive... so I know what I'm talking about when I mention this.” He did not even think to censor his history to this girl, who could be part Tuffle for all he knew, because he was that flustered by the situation and he was not so worried about telling people his secrets, because that would imply shame in his past.
He had no shame, he was the man who would unite all of his fellow former test subjects under a Saiyan Kingdom ruled by himself, after all. The King of Pickles, as he had half-jokingly declared when they were leaving Mount Allion and he had to push a would-be Saiyan Elite back with his power level and his words.
“Not that you aren't a pretty girl, Tiger Lily, but that isn't apart of my agenda- nor did I mean to knock into you like that and steal a kiss.”Turning away from her, he crossed his arms and brooded for a moment.
“I'll try to take you to Pilafland, as agreed, but I can do it by pulling your ship or pushing it, surely, if you don't feel comfortable with my carrying you given our accident.”
He said it without even looking at her, all tense and brooding as he did, his shoulders practically a pair of spears bristling along with his elbows as he held his body in a tight position and thought of the whole situation.

After some thought she wondered if two Namekians could conceive offspring by kissing and then that was starting to get confusing. Being that she was just now learning about Saiyans, she wondered why he expected her to know anything about them still, in great detail, when she already told him she knew nothing of them. In fact, she was unaware she was a half blooded saiyan herself and thought she was human this entire time. Ty tried to understand what he meant when he explained he was abducted and that he had siblings as it was substantial information to take in all at once to process into thought. So she turned her mind off from thought process and then her emotions took over which was not the best decision to make given the circumstances.
“... that was my first kiss… and you’re telling me it was an accident?” Before she knew it she was crying, her face was expressionless, but with her heart breaking into pieces which evidently prevented her from saying anything else as the tears flowed like a waterfall. With this moment of weakness even the mention of Pilaf land could not quell her feelings. Soon she would be seventeen years old but she never expected anyone to dismiss her so willingly like she was nothing; not even calling her pretty was enough to excuse himself of the mistake.
Ty spent her whole life with her loving parents, isolated from the world, because her father desired to keep her safe from Tuffles who may want to continue their horrible experiments. Nothing could have prepared her for the emotional turmoil of having her first kiss stolen with little significance from the person who committed the crime of shattering all her girlhood dreams in a matter of seconds. On the boat, she pulled her knees up to her chest, and burried her face against her lower thighs, soaking her black skin tight sweatpants through, and even still was crying silently.

“You're telling me, your parents never gave you a kiss? Humans certainly are... strange at times.” he said, right before he waterfall of tears began. After that, he simply stood there, awkwardly, trying to figure out how to calm her. He was not human, and thus did not have the human emotional spectrum that she had- even if they had been born and raised in the same culture, and he had indeed been 'raised' as opposed to 'grown up' at the hands of the Tuffles, he would not have an instance response or understanding for her situation, and how to make her stop crying.
So he simply put his hand on her shoulder and looked at her with as much compassion and caring as he could muster. He did not say a word, as his brain went through dozens of possibilities of possible things to say and even went over things he had seen on what Carlos Alfonso and the others called 'Tele-novelas' for things in this situation. He then decided no, that was the incorrect way to solve the situation, because it felt wrong. If he was born on Earth he might have chose the word 'cheesy', as the reason for why it was wrong, but he was not an Earthling. Instead, he stood there for what felt like an eternity, but was actually about ten seconds with his hand on her shoulder, and then spoke up.
“Yes, it was an accident. I'm not some casanova, or pervert, who goes after girls on purpose when he doesn't know them. But if it means so much to you that your first kiss was not on purpose, here.” he said, before dropping to a crouch and lurching forward with the overwhelming speed that could only be expected of someone of his power level and martial arts capability, planting a kiss upon her lips firmly. “That one was on purpose, for no other reason than you being pretty and deserving your second kiss to be a purposeful one, even if your first was an accident.” he said, before removing his hand from her shoulder and lurching back into a standing position, waiting for some response from her and hoping that his dropping his weight on the boat and whatever reaction she might have afterwards were not enough to cause the boat to capsize. He had no idea if this young woman could swim after all, and while he barely knew Tiger Lily, he was not the type of person who took a long time to decide to care about someone or keep them at arm's length.

Ty tensed up when Cayle placed his hand on her shoulder, she looked at him, and even when he spoke she felt deaf to the words he was saying until he kissed her again this time intentionally. There was an order of operations to their exchange, typically a date was involved, followed by affirmation of building an exclusive relationship to determine if the couple was compatible. However, they were both beyond that social stigma that people typically followed and Ty was at a loss for words. She bit her bottom lip as she tried to calm down, feeling rather childish about what she thought was important for remembering her first time experiences, especially when he chastised her for having at least been kissed by her parents. If that was all the love she needed, according to him, then she was afraid of getting close to people if it was going to hurt this much emotionally. Despite everything, she had no reason not to give Cayle a second chance, he was genuinely apathetic to her frivolous plight. At the end of the day he did explain he was different from humans which she had to take into consideration of how he might have felt about their awkward first meeting.
“Tell me… more about Saiyans. How do you know when you meet someone for the first time. Do you recognize them right away and be able to tell them apart from humans? Is it just by their tails?” Ty brushed the dew drops of what remained of her tears from the corners of her eyes with her index finger by wedging the digit under her black half framed glasses. There was a lot to cover and she still had about a week before she needed to go to Pilaf Land. “Are your siblings okay? I always wanted siblings so I guess that will have to wait until I marry into a family that does.”
Again, Ty was not going to let go of the idea of what it meant to have a relationship with someone, to the extent of being part of a different family because it was important to her. Since they were discussing everything about their lives so openly she simply told the truth. In light of all this she wondered why he felt the need to stand inside the speed boat. It was then that she wondered if he was in a hurry to be somewhere despite finding him during his martial arts training.
“What is wrong? Do you realize it is hard to look at you hovering over me like that? Could you sit down?”

Before he gave any response, he sat down in the chair opposite of her in the speed boat and he stretched, popping his shoulders by pulling on his arms in front of his torso. Then he let his steel blue eyes look at her with the intensity and seriousness that was often upon his face when he was asked such questions. He began in the order that they were asked,
“Saiyans are a species of people originally from Planet Sadala. Then we landed on Planet Plant in a refugee fleet, then... I don't know where or what this planet is compared to those, but I think a good deal of us were abducted by the Tuffles before a great war between the Saiyans and the Tuffles, and sent to this planet to be tested on and being experimented on in between being cryogenically frozen. You know what that is, or do I need to explain what Cryogenic freezing is?”
The Saiyan was after all very strongly gifted with intelligence and had picked up the knowledge of all of that from listening to things as a child or listening into the scientist caste as they talked while they were passing by or when he was being experimented on or tortured. The icy eyed Saiyan former farm boy stopped speaking for a moment to let her interject, before continuing.
“I am not sure about the other origins of Saiyans on this planet, but I know that there have to be other bunkers with Saiyan test subjects on the planet. Eventually I'll find them and free them, and build my own Kingdom to defend my fellow Saiyans and any other friends I make from the Tuffles.”
Then he went back to the subject of her questions themselves, frowning for a moment. “I do, but I don't know if they're okay or if they are even here on Planet Earth. We were all kidnapped at the same time, but that's the last time that I can remember seeing them... I'm the oldest, and I was nine when we were abducted, so I don't know if they would even remember me if I did run into them.”
He sighed, before looking at her. “But that's enough about me, Tiger Lily called Ty. Tell me about your family, your people.”

“Yes, I have read about undiscovered technology that was lost in history. How did you even get yourself out of it?” Ty looked worried trying to recollect what she remembered in her history studies, “Capsule Corp managed to salvage ancient, yet highly advanced technology hundreds of years ago from an unknown source. Do you think the ancient technology along with the cryo tech is from the same source, by these Tuffles? Science is not my best subject but we do not have any information written down about Salada or Plant in our universe.” Ty breathed for a minute suddenly feeling nervous, “This is all new information to me… and I have reason to believe based on your name alone that my father is one of the Saiyans you are looking for. His name is Koba Kalabasa and he initially wanted to name me Kuri Kalabasa but my mother, named Lily, wanted me to be called Tiger Lily for my orange hair. It’s a long shot but he had a similar aura to yours, which is why I knew you could easily fly in the air. Maybe you should meet my father ... ”
She crossed her arms as she continued to think about what this could all mean, her father was quite proud of himself yet secretive of his past, and it was most likely his method to survive if he was being experimented on top of being hundreds of years old. It was honestly stressing her out that she had to unzip her black sweater and hug it as she bundled it in her lap. Ty already suffered an identity crisis between her parents calling her different names and the recent developments made it worse.
“I don’t know who I really am anymore ...”

Cayle once again stood up on the boat, this time with enough purpose and speed that of movement that he caused it to sway against the ocean's current for a moment and threaten to capsize. He walked the few steps between where he had been sitting and where she was, and once again put his hand on her shoulder, before pulling her close. While romantic affection and those things were still somewhat alien culturally to the average Saiyan, compassion was not- at least not from the standpoint of Cayle Pota, son of Pota Potaset, himself son of Potaset Potaset, long in his line.
“You are whoever you want to be. Even if your father and I seem similar because he is also a Saiyan, and thus you are a...” he stumbled across the word, as if trying to test it for weight and being cautious to not upset her more by saying it, “Half-Saiyan, or just also a Saiyan if you please- then that doesn't change your hopes, dreams, or aspirations. Species doesn't make a person, actions do.”
Then he simply held her for a moment, before speaking up. “Though it would probably be more apt a birthday present... If I understand the concept of a Birthday and concept of Birthday Presents, to take you back to your home and help you get answers from your father.
