The dragon man must have thought he was stupid. He didn’t know how. Between the two of them, he was the one carrying all the common sense. When Hapu grasped him by the shirt, Duran angrily grasped his scaly fist in an attempt to get him to release him, but halted as soon as he watched some river monster leap into the air to gulp down a bird. Duran’s jaw was unhinged as he watched the colossal creature sink back into the river like a tower. He hadn’t even known the water was that deep. Hapu released him and Duran silently stared up at him as he talked about crossing the river. The Namekian was going to fly, and the Tuffle was going to swim. If fear was sobering…he felt sober in that moment. “You must think I’m mental. There aren’t enough spirits on this planet that could get me drunk enough to swim across that. Now that I get that you’re my employer but that doesn’t make us friends. I don’t trust you as far as I could throw you.” His mouthpiece closed as Duran turned and started walking down the river. “I’ll see you later when I find a way to cross. There’s bound to be a bridge or a road at some point. I’m not too concerned with finding you. There aren’t too many big, green scaly arseholes on this planet.”

Still wobbly Hapu was floating in the air, his brow fully creased as he listened to Duran. The Shaman Warrior couldn't believe his hired help was so scared to go swimming with the fishes. Wavering back and forth he soaked in Durans words and the alcohol.
Heasily intoxicated it was hard to focus on what Duran said, though Hapu was able to comprehend the gist of it. Growling in reply Hapu turned his back to Duran. "Alright walk around it, ya fool." Hapu was practically yelling as the two were increasing distance between them.
Not too far out in the water was a giant river beast lurking in the heavy tides. Clinging to a giant rock with scaley claws the slimy super fish was bobbing its enormous fish scale trunk through the tides, and at its head were eight hideously pointed teeth covering an enormous maw.
The Unilaterusaur was a vile four legged fish, with a long jaw that could trap a sea elephant whale within; and it was watching Hapu shakily float above the water.
If Duran was watching his boss Hapu he would see the giant monster uprooted from the white water rapids. But first Duran would get to enjoy the river walk he chose for himself.
Hapu was thinking about what an idiot he had hired. Walking through a river, made some sense. Enough anyways. Walking round was probably the most nonsense Hapu had heard since before he boarded the zeppelin. With a heavy frown the Shaman was unknowing that the river monster was lurking.
Even drunk Hapu's sixth sense was no joke. As the river monster sprung from the depths toward Hapu, the Namekians third eye flashed a premonition. The lights around Hapus horns shined, and he reached his feet at the water in preparation.
Walking on the water Hapu waited for the monster, and it didn't take long. The giant maw sought to swallow him, but before it breached the water and could; Hapu flexed his mighty ki aura. The concussion blast pushed the water back, and a strong wall from the surface kept the giant teeth from pressing forward.
With his aura forcing the water into form, Hapu was ablento sink into the water as if he were flying and not get wet. He descended further and further until he could see one of the many yellow eyes of the dinosaur monster. Screaming mightily Hapu reached out swiftly with both hands, and grabbed the fish by its scales. Spinning in the water he raised the monster higher and higher, until it was pulled from the rock it clung to for a home.
Flying just above the water Hapu was still spinning, and the beast was heavy. Hapu was screaming like a maniac when suddenly he letngo and flung the ugly monster in the air.
Unfortunately for Duran thenlive river monster projectile would collide into him, and he didnt have much time to prepare himself. It's many claws were writhing in the air, and it's twenty meter long next was wriggling about too, the jaws atop its head snapping viciously.

Duran’s helm was already connecting to satellite and presenting before his eyes a map of the Earth. He followed the map up the river, locating a road crossing it five miles away. The road might have also been his ticket for a free ride. This planet still has roads… he thought. It wasn’t a question as much as it was him pointing out another technology flaw. If most of the Earthlings had hover cars, then why were roads still needed? The sudden splash of water and surge interrupted Duran’s thoughts. He turned to watch the same serpentine creature attempt to attack Hapu. That idiot… he thought. If his employer was eaten, then he was going to be angry to have come so far with the false promise of money—then again, the beast might have done him a favor. Hapu hadn’t paid him to be a bodyguard, so the thought didn’t even cross his mind. The Dragon Man wound up throwing the monster. He could have thrown it anywhere, but he had chosen to throw it at him. Hapu might have thought he wouldn’t have time to prepare, but he wasn’t wearing an advanced Tuffle-grade targeting system for no reason. A few seconds before the beast would collide with him, Duran had drawn his sword and with one swipe so clean, cleaved the beast into two. Its body parted in a spray of pink and red juices. Its wriggling top half went in one direction and its kicking lower half in another. Duran had cleanly passed through the gap he had created in the beast and whipped his sword to the side to rid it of the pink mess. Afterward, he pointed his sword at Hapu as his mouthpiece opened. “One of these days monster, I hope you have enough money to pay me not to kill you!” Duran shouted. “There’s a bridge five miles from my current location. I will see you in the next city.” Stylishly flipping his blade, he returned it to its sheath. His mask closed once more and he went on his way. WC: 348 | 3,100 Tag: Hapu Dokunado

Hapu flew up higher from the water, just in case another monster sought him as a meal. While he flew up he watched Duran slice up the beast, and couldn't help but notice that the man seemed to be quite a technology enjoyed. Hapu wasn't sure how or where he got the tech from, but his so called mercenary did seem to have some truly useful skills with tech.
Unfortunately Duran was also an ignorant drunk with no sense of respect. As he flung more insults at Halu the Namekian stuck a carefully chosen finger tip in the air. His gesture faced Duran as the man was walking away. Shouting as loud as he could Hapu told his hired help, "Yeah, just meet me on that road. I'll back track around the river so you can catch up to me. Remember, I'll pay you after the search is -" Hapu threw his hand in the air, he was tired of screaming. Duran probably heard him, and talking to a brick wall wouldn't get him anything but frustrated.
Flying off Haou crossed the river, and resumed his travel on foot. Walking through a forest he was looking for the way to the direction where real had headed towards. Holding his Capsule Gizmo in one hand Hapu was monitoring a map with one hand, and using his tail to cut away any obstacles in his path.
After a few hours the Dragon Shaman breeched the forest and found the road. He was getting hungry, and while he walked toward the road he looked for some kind kind of rodent for a snack. Hapu usually ate meat raw, so a blood kill would be just fine for him. While he walked and searched his stomach was growling, and fortunately before reaching the road he found a bunny in the brushes. Using a finger gun olast Hapu killed the rabbit. Using his claws to skin it, and gutting it with his tail; after five minutes the meal was ready. Hapu happily ate the bones and all, grinding it all up with his strong jaw and razor sharp shark teeth.
Eventually Hapu made it to the road abs met back up with Duran. There was blood stains all over his arms but Hapu remained quiet. He had grown sick of the cocky attitude Suran had, but wasnhopeful to continue his missions in Pilaf Land with help. Not wanting to disturb the fragile ego of his drunk mercenary, Hapu only spoke in nods or shrugs until they made it to the nearest village.
