When he came to, Will would find himself in a cart – a rural wooden cart with bicycle wheels and rustic design. Blankets and supplies beneath him, a half closed canopy of cloth above him. In front of him, there was a dark skinned driver with a cowboy hat and a feather in it, who was otherwise dressed in the style of a Westernlands Buke – an armed retainer on the way to being a samurai within the Pig Demon Duchies heirarcy. Beside him, dressed in a yellow, orange, and black striped kimono with the mon of the Dandelion Clan upon it, sat Koma in what seemed to be a napping position. The cart was pulled by a trio of western lands ostrich chickens, apparently stronger than their size would imply.
“You were out for a bit. Sweating, must have been a bad dream.” Koma said, flicking his nose with the thumb of his right hand. “But we're on a strict timetable, so I gathered up the supplies we needed and arranged into my mother's fief and out to the Sacred White Tower.”
The half-Saiyan Samurai narrowed his slate-grey blue eyes, “I hope you actually ate properly, Will. Because we aren't going to be able to just fly up there, not with the Nimbus people know you have, not with the Flight technique. There are defenses that stop people from doing it without a proper invitation, and more than that it's rude. We have to climb the tower itself, and without tools.”

"I am sorry Koma I was deep in thought about a memory that just came back about what happened thirteen years ago, thank you for not abandoning me," Will said after giving a respectful bow with his hands clasped together. He did eat before he got here and with the snack he had from the tea, sandwiches, and cookies he should be filled up for what lies ahead. Of course Koma reminds him about the defenses about not using flight or the Flying Nimbus and they only have to use their bare hands and no tools. That last part did put a snag in a last resort he had thought of using. "Don't worry about me I have had my fill for the day. Also I knew about the no flight limitation but the no tools rule is one I do not recall. Unfortunate, if worse came to worse I figured wedging my staff into the tower and using it as a rest stop before climbing the rest of the way. That most likely counts as using a tool so now that option is out the window," Will said. He was curious about what else Koma and Hanetsuki spoke about before he blacked out deep in thought but it would be rude to pry into that. Better to let Koma talk about it whenever he is ready to. Especially since they're almost to their destination. There's one more thing though he wanted to say. "Remember it is the two of us climbing together, there is no rule saying we can't help each other if it comes down to it. If you need a hand I'll be there by your side," Will said. He checked the weather before he came here to see if there would be any weather that would get in the way of their climb and the weather report said it wouldn't rain for a few days and even then only a chance of it, but to be on the safe side checked the sky to be sure. It was partially cloudy but none of them looked like rain or storm clouds. That is reassuring, climbing in such conditions would make the trek up something as tall as Korin's Tower their impossible. And Will may have his claws to aide him in getting around that but Koma doesn't have anything like that. Word Count: 394 Total Word Count: 3,938 Tag: Koma

That comment about being lost deep in thought about the battle thirteen years back made the half-saiyan samurai narrow his eyes and furrow his eyebrows for a moment. The daimyo of the Dandelion Clan listened to the cat's words before shaking his head. “You've really got to get over that attack thirteen years ago. Everyone loses sometimes. It's about what you get up and do after you lose.”
As to the rest, he listened and nodded, yes using a staff made sense but at the same time it'd be largely cheating; and Koma was to understand that the climbing was meant to be a form of test for one's determination and a test of their natural abilities. Indeed, Koma seemed to be relaxing as the cart lead them forward, but soon the tower engulfed all the vision around them, with a small very archaic village with folks with feather hats visible, and a few modern facilities too. This tribal village were apart of the guardians of Korin's tower, but they let the two of them pass.
Soon, Koma gathered his backpack, Henjiken and his other sword, and a few other things up. He took his shoes off and wiggled his toes before tying his shoes carefully to the backpack and storing the socks he had been wearing in the backpack.
“You can try to climb with your claws or like that goof in the Kakarot movie did, wrapping your arms around it, but I won't be. Have you ever done the spiritual energy control exercise which involves using your ki to provide sticky abrasiveness to your body in places as you climb?”
He soon ran to the tower, and hopped upon it. Despite being absolutely vertical in slope, he remained standing upon the tower, as if his body was resting upon the sky. Taking a breath, he began to climb.
We'll roll a D20 for every post we make, with 4 posts required to get to the top of the tower. On the result of a 1, we have to start over. On 2 through 3, we have to add a post to the requirement. On a result of 20 we deduct a post required, but not less than 3 total each from this point onwards. You may add what fighting would allow you to add you your attacks.

"It wasn't just a loss, they were trying to kill me but I managed to escape before they could finish the job, and they were doing it on someone else's orders who is probably even more dangerous. Unfortunately, I don't remember what they look like but they were dangerous and I fear they may be still out there," Will explained. Still, though he shouldn't get hanged up about it, especially since it was so long ago. Though the fact that he has never met said assailant again after so long and having been active is curious. Perhaps they haven't thought out about him being alive or the assailant was punished by his master for not finishing the job. In any case, though it's not like they would come looking for him here especially cause he has been suppressing his power for a while now so he wouldn't attract any weirdos. Not to mention the fact he has been traveling around here and there so they wouldn't even know where to look. It was then they arrived into a tribal village, it seemed these people have been here in this area for a while guarding the tower as well. Will is glad to know that the White Cat Clan allowed them to stay here as well and didn't force them away from their home. Now then he looked up to see the great tower stretch to the heavens. As more memories began to surface within his head. It has been so long since he last came here, and so long since he last climbed it. "I have never done the exercise you speak of, I have used my claws to get a grip and then climbed using all four of my limbs. Though I am not afraid of trying new things, perhaps after seeing you use it I can try the best I can to do it too," Will said. He would then try to apply the special sticky Ki as Koma talked about on his paws as he began to climb the tower. Word Count: 343 Total Word Count: 4,281 TIyMmFXz1-20

Those words simply made Koma let out a huff of frustration with Will at that. Indeed, his frustration had been slowly building when he thought of how much effort and thought they were giving to this cat just because he was the kitten of Korin. The frustration was enough to make him slip a bit and have to start back up on his climb, but the half-saiyan Samurai didn't simply let the conversation end. Focusing his ki in the method he had suggested to Will as he started to climb, the Dandelion Duke soon caught more or less up.
“Yes, and you would be one of many people with a story like that. Will, you may not be aware but some call me the Revenant Bear because at least thirty people have tried to kill me or left me for dead. I've had much much worst than one person trying to kill me, and in fact I have the entirety of the former Bear Clan to avenge or get revenge for; so I can't say I empathize. Perhaps you're just self-focused.”
Then he went back to climbing, increasing speed.
“Either way, take in the moment at hand and focus. Past, Future, neither matter. Just the present and the climb. The first rule of mastering martial arts is attempting to master yourself.”

He had no idea Koma went through so much. It definitely pales in comparison to anything he ever went through. And he is right, he must focus on the present and continue to climb. Using the same methods Cayle is using instead of relying on his claws. "I am sorry I didn't know that you went through so much. You are right though, we must focus on the present. I hope one day you can avenge your people one day," Will said. And with that he continue the climb up the tower. How long have they been up there already? And how will it take for them to get to the top? Will did not know but it doesn't matter anyway as long as they can get up there. This is not only a test to see if they are worthy enough to see his father Korin, but this in of itself is a part of their training. They shouldn't rush themselves, better to go at a nice and steady pace. They might slip and fall if they were to do so. Especially wise not to look down either. Or else fear could set in or pride of having climbed up so high already. No they must keep their eyes focused upwards as they continued to scale the tower. Word Count: 219 Total Word Count: 4,500

The apology from the cat brought a laugh out of the half-saiyan samurai as they continued to scale the mountainous white tower with their spiritual energy and sheer will. Koma heard the words, and waited a good thirty second to respond.
“I never asked for an apology from you, Will O' the Wisp. So while I can understand your empathy, you don't need to be sorry and shouldn't say you are. There's nothing to be sorry about. You weren't here and you didn't know about it, and further the internecine conflict that was going on isn't your affair – you may be from the Western Lands but you aren't a child of the Pig Demon Duchies. You were born literally above it all.”
The brunette focused his energy and kept climbing, not sure what would occur or how this training would be but focused on completing it – for his country, for his wife and his incoming children, and his family as a whole. For the people of the world and maybe if Korin was as wise as he was implied to be, for Ma-Te and the others he had failed too.
It was all a matter of focus and training, a matter of setting himself up to make the most of the situation ahead of him.

Will was glad Will's compliment was able to cheer Koma up some. Though he is right he was born above it all and had no idea about the conflicts the Pig Demon Duchies faced nor would he have known or was there at the time it happened to prevent it. What's done has been done and for now, they must keep on living. Though being told about he was born above it all reminds him. "You know Koma despite being born above it all it's not all as cracked up as it seems. Stuck to one location suspended above the clouds with few visitors and people by your side. At a young age, I told my father I wanted to see the world and learn more about it from experience instead of listening to him talk about it. And while he had no choice in the matter he gave me the option to stay in the tower forever or go see the world, and being young and impulsive I chose the latter," Will said. Vivid memories flowing in of the first time he explored the surface of Earth, meeting people and taking in the nature around him. "Though I wouldn't say it was a bad decision, even if it was a selfish one, and there were times I thought of going back. I managed to meet so many wonderful people who supported me that I didn't want to leave them behind. And I am still gaining new experiences with amazing people, including yourself," Will said. As he was done reminiscing he continued to climb the tower, he would begin to notice the wind picking up and the air starting to thin a bit. It seems they were getting closer to the top. He made extra sure that he was controlling his Ki right as he continued his way up. Word Count: 309 Total Word Count: 4,809 Tag:

“It wasn't exactly a compliment, you know.” The half-Saiyan Samurai responded as he continued to trudge up the tower's edifice using his ki and sheer force of willpower. Even as the wind began to kick up around them and the caws of birds could be heard, even with his bag jostling in the wind, Koma focused on the task at hand.
“And it wasn't a question as to why you chose to leave, either. Everyone's got to go on their journey of self-discovery at some point.” the dark haired half-saiyan samurai would reply as he continued to take the climb step by step. “And again, you have nothing to do with the conflicts of the Pig Demon Duchies – so when it occurred you couldn't have done a thing even if you wanted to. There's no reason to be sorry for that; but for your irresponsibility else wise there might be. You're supposed to be strong to protect people and the countryside, though you may have forgotten the reason to get stron while on your journey.”

"I didn't take it as a compliment, just that being told of how I was born above it all reminded me of my childhood is all. Though you are right about perhaps I have forgotten the reason why I wanted to get strong again. I was hanged up on my past title as master that I was trying to get as strong as fast as possible to be able to be someone people would work hard to strive to surpass so that today's students can become tomorrow's masters." Will said. Although come to think of it he might be thinking of why he went out to learn martial arts in the past as a child. "Do if you mean as a child why I wanted to become strong I mostly wanted to be like some people Master Korin told me about he meant in the past from what I recall. People who managed to climb his tower, one of which being the late Master Roshi but alas the name of the other one escapes but they were a young boy that managed to get through Korin's training faster then anyone ever has. Back then I thought that was admirable and wanted to be that strong, but the Turtle School taught me strength isn't just used for incredible feats or going on adventures it's about protecting people who can't protect themselves. After all why gain great power when you can't even use it for the benefit of others?" Will said. After that heart to heart talk he continued scaling the tower. It felt like he was so close to finally reaching the talk, but he can't let his excitement over take him. He carefully and slowly continues his ascent inching even closer. He also wants to make sure Koma will be up there with them if they're going to meet Korin at the top so their training can officially begin. Word Count: 319Total Word Count: 5,128 lkstCPWj1-201-20

Koma waggled his eyebrows at the cat, as if giving him a shrug without actually doing so - given his body was needed whole sale to keep the climb. The half-Saiyan Samurai continued his movement up the tower, and then decided to speak up further. "I mean strength for strength's sake is inherently less moral and good than seeking strength to defend others; that is simply the statement - though I also assure you that you shouldn't simply expect some great results just because of who your father is, Will O' Wisp. None of my strength comes simply from being the grandson of Grand Duke Yajirobe; I trained for this strength." He was silent after that, continuing his climb as birds flew past them and indeed a flock of some seabirds flew by in formation. [133] [4711] ckHTs8iZ1d20 Will O. Wisp1d20

Will was able to give Koma a nod in return for his words. Looking directly at him and not looking down at the ground below. Because he would rather focus on looking up to his destination than looking down to see how high up he is psyching him out. Not that he is afraid of heights, but vertigo can be a bitch. "Indeed, while our bloodline might have given us an advantage so to speak when we first started out, all of our strength we obtained training our bodies is all our own power. After all, we may be able to surpass our parents one day. And even then we shouldn't stop to improve ourselves as there will be always someone stronger than who we came from and even Daimao Piccolo. It's like the old fisherman's proverb, there's always a bigger fish." Will O. Wisp said. He ignored the calls of the seabirds that flew nearby as he turned his head back up and continued climbing. Though at the very least it served as a good distraction from the bad thoughts of the possibility of falling. Keeping a cool head as he continued ascending. He just knows that every mile he climbs will be worth his while. On his way to go the distance. Word Count: 214 Total Word Count: 5,342 Roll: yemHASuY1d20Tag: Koma 1d20
