Valentus' appearance caught the young baroness in surprise, but after a brief explanation that he learned of the events happening there from Juniper, Chardonnay accepted it and explained her side of the story. She was here to go after the whereabouts of her brother - which, as Valentus remembered, she spoke about back when they and Juniper met in Jingle Village - and was thus beset by the demonic hordes.
"Yes, I am here because she said you could use some help... but I can aid this whole town on the way, too!" Valentus answered Chardonnay's question on whether he was here for her - almost immediately after, their conversation had to be cut short, as an unfamiliar man suddenly went down and scooped her up, then flew away. In spite of the unfamiliarity, he did not appear hostile - Chardonnay did not struggle against his grip and he even sliced through eggs of the namekian hordes on the way. Perhaps it was her brother, or an another ally of her - whatever the case, at least his friend was now in good hands.
While Valentus was engaged in conversation, Paizu was keeping track of the battle going on around them, and suddenly called out:
"Val, we have a serious problem!"
The Black Heart Namekians were rapidly regrowing their numbers. Valentus and his allies were slashing through the demonic creatures, either knocking them out, restraining them or exploding them entirely - however, each time they did the latter, the blood splattering out would collect and shape gigantic eggs, sacks of them would rapidly grow, burst, and spew out demonic flies which collected back into new demonic namekians.
Killing them isn't working!
Valentus ran forward, several Black Heart Namekians already picking out the Tuffle swordsman as their target. As he watched the blue, towering Namekian fight his demonic brethren in the sky, and the bald-headed Earthling do the same a bit farther away, he soon realized the key.
"It's their blood."
And if so...
Valentus leapt up, then landed on the head of an unfortunate Black Heart Namekian in his way and bounced off of it. In the air, he twisted the pommel of his sword a bit, activating the internal, hidden mechanics of the weapon - more specifically, the heating module. Instantly, a small fiery aura burst to life around the blade and the steel plating itself began to glow in a dim orange. From a distance, it would appear as if the sword is on fire - however, the heat and flame were limited to only a small area around the blade. It couldn't catch anything on fire unless you deliberately tried.
With this heated sword, Valentus landed on his feet in the middle of a small empty baseball court. Here, the swarm following him won't be able to hurt anyone. The first Namekian which tried to lunge at him from behind would pay dearly, as a sudden sword swing would immediately severe its arm from its body and clip one of its wings.
The blade wound was immediately cauterized from the heat. The Namekian still fell to the ground in pieces, but not a drop of blood squirted out. Confident at the solution, Valentus spun the sword in his hand and aimed it towards the rest of the Namekians which followed him. One after another, they would screech and charge, and the Tuffle, wielding both his innate reflexes and a cauterizing blade, clashed against them.

It really was surprising just how vicious the frontline was at this point. Back when Bass was younger- part of the problem, he remembered teams of Demon Clan Namekians descending on unprotected villages to ransack them, set buildings on fire and... Well, clear out the people that lived there. Whether or not he ever took any lives before he was free thinking was aside the point, nowadays it was... This was different. Even after letting out a gargantuan, powerful beam of destructive and nigh nuclear energy throughout the skies of Black Heart Namekians, there were still without a doubt in his mind dozens of them. This was no longer guerilla warfare, the battle had escalated to such a severe point as an arms race had fully blown out. Most of the civilized planet had some hand in defending from Piccolo Daimao's Demon Clan, but it was getting ever larger and more savage. It wasn't sustainable, Earthlings would eventually run out of resources to hold off the growing tide. A Black Heart Namekian could form in seconds, a Human took almost two decades to reach the same potential, and even then they were physiologically at a disadvantage compared to the killing machines Bass was looking at. This really was a War. Bass didn't know war, he'd never lived it, never felt the grittiness and savagery of it all. In fact quite contrary to it, he'd been trying to become a more civilized and proper person. Yet now, the tide of Black Heart Creatures- he didn't even see them as Namekians anymore, were... Well, they demanded the same savagery in turn to fight back the deluge and stop things once and for all. With a hand at the crook of his neck, several bones cracked as he readied himself. Listening to Valentus, it had to do with their blood? Seemed like a heart thing to avoid spilling, and... Well. The Namekian always wondered why creatures with incredible abilities like that didn't just harm themselves to create an infinite army. There had to be a catch, right? Otherwise all that needed be done is an order issued and Earth was doomed. The only conclusion Bass could come up with is that the derivative Black Heart's had to be weaker compared to the original, a split of its power signature into a number of tinier ones. The Momentum needed to start working on anti-Black Heart technology. It was so ironic, that a smirk came to Bass's face. "Alright, enough standing around." He said, a convenient Black Heart Creature flying at his side. With a resounding boom, its entire mass would come to a sudden halt as its head was in Bass's hand. "Damn..." He looked towards the creature, who just... Without any sentience desperately thrashed at him. He hurled it around by the head so the attacks it made missed. "You don't pay your taxes, do you pal?" He asked the animalistic beast. Naturally, it didn't respond. "Ah, classic. Silence is a good answer in the legal system. Not good enough in battle, I'll have Piccolo Daimao pay for the years he's ignored tax season." He said, hand tightening just enough for a crack to resound from the creature, not actually breaking skin. Tossing it aside onto a nearby roof, Bass burst into a flurry of movement. No matter how fast he went or how efficiently he fought, the battle revealed to him that the scale of the War against Piccolo Daimao wasn't solvable without some serious investing. The Mighty Momentum Military would need an upgrade to help on the frontlines, as until now they weren't equipped in the greatest way, nor did they have the greatest numbers- part of development, at some point everything was fragile and vulnerable. Yet in the moment a combination of blunt attacks that broke bones and overwhelmingly potent ki blasts that atomized Black Heart creatures were what he employed. The bodies of the enemy were piling up, but he admittedly didn't quite know when it'd end. The swarm had largely just become one gigantic power level signature as so many similar creatures were in such close proximity with one another. He supposed he could take his fight over to the Duchess in a moment. She seemed pretty busy nowadays, but following two years of hard and grueling work, he'd finally gotten a window of free time. Appearing next to her as a gust of wind followed a second behind him from the speed he traveled at, the Namekian spoke up. "Oh right, Melody. Ahaha,- I have a few days off. Took a while for me to free up my schedule, but things are calming down over at HQ. You hear about the tournament coming up? Might have some sponsorship opportunities, who knows."An oncoming creature would be met with a rather disinterested backhand, neck twisting a little too far for it to be healthy, causing a resounding crack as it collapsed onto the ground. He couldn't spend too long waiting for an answer, but he felt like given the intensity of this war he wouldn't have a window after the fight to talk. He'd multi-task, a hand raising up to atomize a wave of flying creatures with a condensed ki blast the size of a marble imploding in between the swarm. 883 | 9,955/14,000 Valentus Chardonnay Zaru Echo

“Is that so? I am just equally surprised to hear him call you by name alone.” Echo said simply,“Since the Bossa Nova clan and your brother are here please refer to me by my title, Baroness.”
The Baroness would be upset if Echo dropped the honorifics of her brother’s title if the situation was in reverse. Out of respect for each other as Duchies, even in the northern lands, they were raised with the etiquette of nobles. When his childhood friend mentioned a Princess, there were only a few who held that title since the pair were from different villages, it was a title reserved to the heirs of the Grand Dukes, and he smiled briefly that Chardonnay was socially adept beyond his expectations. While he was also an heir to a clan, his title was still that of Lord, for he was yet to elevate his title to Duke, and only held a stake of the properties he would inherit someday.
Of course he wondered how Merlot felt about it, he was in the middle of support his twin brother Note who remained in his giant form to clear out the large termite insects with their swords, and in a different direction was the rest of the Bossa Nova clan tying up as many insectoid Black Heart Namekians. The strawberry blonde boy then noticed something particular about Valentus’ encounters with the infestation, fire proved to be effective, burning the blood prevented eggs from forming.
“It seems fire is their weakness.” His index finger ran across his katchin katana, infusing the blade with ki, and igniting it aflame. “Heart Stroke!”
From the roof, the Bossa Nova Lord clipped the wings of many, to prevent them from getting too close to the Baroness. The cauterized wings piled up on the roof, while others fell to the ground, and were cleared away by the others. The situation was redeemed to be under control once again and soon enough Port Lumina would be free of the raid with the current momentum.
It was greatly understood in the western lands that statements held their weight in meaning, it was common for residents to choose their words carefully to imply heavily of the gravity in each conversation, among the Bossa Nova clan everyone was calm and collective as samurai. For a long time, Melody was under the influence of these values, and for a brief second after hearing Bass’ explanation of his presence after two years she barely held her composure. The Duchess’ violet eyes were cast down briefly as she reflected, a gentle tint colored her tan cheeks since her twin siblings overheard, and then spoke calmly in her usual demeanor.
“It is good to know that you are doing well with the company since the last time we met. I hope you can spare your time off with me to reacquaint ourselves, Bass-kun.”
While the expression on Melody’s face remained aloof as usual, Canon stoically scratched the stubble on his jaw with his thumb, and Cadence was practically blooming--literally. Orchid blossoms were dancing around the pinkette’s form as her ribbon-like flexible sword infused with ki manipulated the air around her, with her pale complexion changing an obvious sweet pink hue. As siblings, all three of them were reacting the same way to the blue namekian, but their personalities were different enough to reveal their distinct expressions in the conversation.

Still back to back with Echo, the baroness kept up with the swordsman using only her physical strength; she was still learning the techniques taught at the academy, but maybe… this situation would also be good practice for it. Following the direction of the attack of the namekian insect, she raised her jaw, as if receiving the flick of one of its legs, raising up her body in momentum to do a backward somersault, and then swinging her left leg towards its face, knocking it unconscious. The strawberry blonde swordsman then reminded the girl of their relationship outside, that she was supposed to call him with his title whenever they weren't alone. A blush formed on Chardonnay’s cheeks, she had been so comfortable with him that she forgot to give him the respect he deserved outside of their friendship. “I-im sorry, Lord Echo…” After several minutes of non-stop battle, the little girl noticed that the enemies were slowly decreasing in numbers. It wouldn’t be too long before the town could be cleared of the invaders, and probably then, they could all go home together without any regrets so she smiled at the thought. There was some kind of satisfaction the skirmish had provided to the little girl... it was not bloodlust, of course; rather, the idea of being able to protect the community. If she could defend this village, she certainly could do the same for her own. Yet, the short bliss she felt diminished in an instant when she noticed a girl running for her life while being subdued by a black heart namekian; one of the townspeople who probably hid somewhere and was unfortunately found by the beast. Without a hint of hesitation, Chardonnay jumped off the roof and chased after the enemy, running past Valentus to save the girl. With enough strength, she leaped off, clinging to the neck of the creature, attempting to choke it, all the while struggling to hold off as it wiggled to throw her off. The beast was successful, and the girl fell to the ground on her back. Now that she spoiled him of his prey, the monster turned to her instead and was about to hit her with his sharp claws. Meanwhile, Sakuya was preoccupied with beating the enemies on their side, that she didn't know her master was currently in danger. [394] [10,915/14,000] Valentus Bass Echo Zaru

One after another, the Black Heart Namekians flying around Valentus from every side would get cleaved to bits, as a dance of swords, claws and punches unfolded in the basecall court. The Namekians had the advantage of flight, their demonic wings allowing them to soar and glide around the Tuffle while waiting for the opportune moment to strike, and many of them had a clear advantage in physical strength. Valentus may be a super soldier, but even Tuffle technology had its limits, and even training as hard as he usually does every day can only make up for the disadvantage so far. He could not compare to the blue Namek in the skies - especially since he could tell that even in spite of smashing any Black Heart in his way, the warrior was seriously holding back, and hardly trying.
However, unlike the Black Hearts, he had a brain working rationally and a storage of experience in fighting enemies much, much stronger than him physically. Surrounded by demonic Namekians always ready to strike, slash and gnaw, Valentus listened in to each one of his senses after every slash and step. Sight alone was limiting - the sound of approaching grumbles or flapping wings was enough to indicate whether something was approaching behind him. A mysterious sixth sense, tapping into the signatures of each person's and creature's internal energy, would also flash from time to time, especially whenever the Namekians attempted any sudden movements.
Lunging at Valentus, even from behind him, would result in a fiery swing of a heatened blade, cleaving through an arm, a leg or a wing, crippling the monsters if not eliminating them entirely. And as the Tuffle soon witnessed, his guess turned out to be correct - cauterizing the wounds of the Namekians, eliminating any chance of blood flow in moment of bisection, prevented their regeneration and the spawning of new eggs.
With such a strategy, they might actually weed out the numbers of the horde.
As Valentus was dispatching of a yet another Black Heart Namekian, dodging under its fist, slamming a punch into the creature's throat and them piercing its chest with his sword, he heard the sound of someone leaping down from a rooftop and running past the court. Taking a glance to the side, the Tuffle witnessed Chardonnay having split with her pink-haired comrade and headed off to aid a girl in need. Still surrounded by several Namekians, Valentus could not keep tabs on her safety, so after kicking his last target off his blade, the Tuffle called out:
"Paizu, if Char gets in danger, make sure to yell-"
"She is in danger!" He did not even get to finish before the fairy called out.
After having pushed one of the demonic Namekians away from the girl it was prying after, and clenching onto the creature's neck to try to choke it, the Baroness became its next target - and in spite of her bravery, neither Valentus nor Paizu could trust her to be durable enough to endure it. So, the Tuffle leapt back, ducking under several claw swings, and ran forward - right as the creature's claw was about to descend, he slipt in between, blocking the blow with the plate of his right upper arm's armor. It got ripped off, but left little damage underneath, and gave Valentus the moment he needed to punch the Namekian straight in between its eyes. The smash blew it away, giving them a few seconds of reprieve.
"Stand back!" Valentus called out, then glanced behind his shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll keep you safe."
The other person in "we", Paizu, called out as well - she had flown off behind them, ducking under a few stray claw slashes but mainly slipping through the Black Heart Namekians undetected. "Here, kid!" She was pointing towards a small wooden arbour, built by the villagers to relax after a day's work. It wasn't particularly durable, but a roof above their heads would ensure that they'd be less likely to be seen by Namekians flying above, at least.

Looking across the battlefield, the Namekian also noticed the declining enemy forces. He wasn't necessarily sure if that meant the attack was subsiding, there was always the chance of another swarm, but nevertheless it meant they were making progress with this one. Letting out a frustrated sigh, an assaulting Black Heart Namekian would be flicked in the forehead, causing it to tumble back with a crushed in forehead. He wondered just how far Piccolo Daimao had come, up until this point he'd only been thinking if he'd reached his creators shadow. Though clearly, it wasn't as if he was doing nothing either. These hordes were... Well, back when Bass was around their little parties of terrorizing miscreants weren't half of the violent threat these hordes were. They proper carnage in their wake, and were the thing of nightmares to the people that lived it- it didn't take long to come to that conclusion. Up until this point he'd had a small military outpost set up in the North trying to handle a much bigger problem than they were equipped to. It made sense why he never heard back from them, there was never good news to tell. If they didn't have a strategic position, it might've been entirely possible the Namekian unintentionally sent soldiers to their deaths. That being said, it was better to find out now than at a more critical point in the war. Needless to say, the 'Mighty Momentum Military' was getting a bit of a facelift and a significantly more massive budget, in addition to swarms of construction workers to expedite rapid expansion and the installment of advanced facilities. He'd glance towards Melody, his finger shifting to various Black Heart creatures in the sky as he sent out ki bomb after ki bomb. The glow of the energy repeatedly cast light, and then left shadow upon his features as they flew off. "I screwed up pretty bad. I had no idea it'd gotten to this point, I'd just assumed it was the same as it was when I was directly involved. This is... I understand Piccolo Daimao's desperate, but this is more than desperation, it's savagery and succumbing to the most wicked of untapped powers. I'm hoping if all goes right to have a new garrison set up a few kilometers from the frontline." He didn't want to admit that it was always there, just fairly pathetic compared to what was needed, so much so that perhaps it went unnoticed. "I can't always be here, but they can be, and I think I've discovered a way that I can still personally make a difference. We'll see if it comes to fruition or not, I suppose." He said, catching a creature that was trying to whiz by them towards the more vulnerable backline by the neck. It flailed in his grip talons and chitinous weapons slashing at his forearm. Most of it caused superficial cuts, prompting the Namekian to look over towards it. He wished he saw signs of a creature that had a drive, any drive, even if misplaced, but... Like he'd already concluded, it just wasn't there. The creatures body fell to the ground following a twitch of the Namekians hand, lifeless. "Sorry you've had to put up with it for as long as you have. As an extension of Piccolo Daimao, I'm part of the thing that brings so many people grief." He noticed a sudden commotion, and as he was about to burst towards the area to help, he noticed the guy he didn't know with a sword show up to her rescue. Thinking it handled, he'd do a double take when he heard the sound of tearing metal. Seeing the Tuffles armguard of a sorts be torn away, the Namekian wondered if he should help. It was a fine line he thought, between trusting others to handle it and helping. It looked like he'd only bought time for an escape, Bass would offer them more. Flying over towards them, he'd speak. "I'll help, get to safety or don't, choice is in your hands." He said, feet hitting the ground as his finger raised. A tiny, marble sized dot of ki flew out and pierced into the knocked back Namekian, detonating with a high pressure localized blast that completely engulfed and atomized it. In a way he felt archaic, like an an item that should be an antique, but wasn't. Maybe he should be training Heroes, instead of being one. 747 | 12,354 Chardonnay Echo Valentus Zaru

While Bass explained his involvement with the northern lands, he took the time to defeat more of these insect mutations between his statements, obliterating them instantaneously with ki blasts, and even went as far as to apologize for his lack of understanding of what transpired on the mainland border. Part of the reason the Pig Demon Duchies were involved in the north was to push the raids back to the northern islands, and then gradually cover the entire coastal villages to the Central lands to the Western lands. The idea that The Dandelion Clan took the initiative to secure the border, only made for the remaining Duchies seem weak to the western land residents, and five of the strongest clans were now involved in the coastal effort.
The Dandelion Clan The Bossa Nova Clan Shinobu Clan Grape Vine Village Truffle Village
“You have it all wrong, he is not desperate, Piccolo Daimao is still a warlord, and any opportunity to put pressure on the mainland is just inviting people to the northern island so he can absorb the trespassers.” Melody affirmed, “No matter how powerful we have become in the past two years, we are not nearly strong enough to confront him and change the tide.”
During their conversation, it had become clear that fire or ki infused blasts obliterated the black heart insect namekians, which were more than likely created by another that looked more like Bass. The trio of trained samurai ignited their swords aflame at the same time and took flight to clean up what remained in the sky.
Echo finished clearing out the immediate area and Chardonnay was quick to aid a local only to fall into a trap. Fortunately, the one she called friend immediately protected her, followed by the only Black Heart Namekian who was against the raiders. A few more minutes and the entire area was finally secured on behalf of Port Lumina. Only scorch marks remained on the ground where purple blood was splattered, to prevent it from regenerating, and mutating into insect eggs by the dozens.
The heir to the Bossa Nova clan then approached the Black Heart Namekians captured in sacks, their biology was extraordinary, which was the primary reason the northern lands were so troubled by raids. Traditionally, enemies would have been issued mercy exchange for betraying Piccolo Daimao, but it was mentioned by Bass that they were no longer sentient.
So all that was left was an execution?

Chardonnay flinched, ready to receive the attack of the creature. She could feel the rush of wind sweeping as the claws were about to make contact with her little body. Clank! A sound of metal was heard, and when the baroness opened her eyes, Valentus stood in front of her, parrying with the black heart namekian. Turquoise eyes remained stunned for a brief moment, as she watched how the orange-haired knight sent the enemy flying unconscious on the ground when he punched the beast in the face. Paizu called out to the baroness, and the little girl snapped out of her shock and walked over to a shelter the fairy pointed to… hide? Chardonnay refused, she was not training at the academy just to cower in the face of adversity. This battle was an opportunity to test her capabilities, so far, she realized she was still too weak and could barely keep up with Echo and the rest of Pig Demon Duchies. Certainly, there was still a lot to work on, her skills and movements were not yet refined as she hoped; but if she could be proud of something, it would be her unwavering determination to learn and become stronger for others. Soon. She would be able to defend and safeguard everyone properly. Ignoring the fairy's suggestion, the baroness hurried back to fetch the girl and led her to the shelter Paizu directed her a while ago, in this way, hopefully the child would be safe while they continue to fight off the enemies. It was rather safer, than run in open field while the enemies were still around. There were still a few swarms hovering over the skies of the village. The blue namekian they met earlier flew over to them, and as soon as he landed, Chardonnay gazed at him briefly. Studying his features in a deadpan expression. He was not that different from the rest of the namekians except for his unique color and his business suit. The namekian spoke up, stating that he would help and any one could choose to stay or hide in safety. Little Chardonnay of course didn’t back out, forming a stance unique to their academy in preparation for any incoming attacks. Bass’ words were followed by his powerful ki blast, obliterating completely the beast that was lying on the ground. Soon, many more of the enemies were taken down, and after a while, peace was restored to the port town. “Thank you for your help, Sir. And to you too. Mr. Valentus,” The baroness bowed in gratitude. It was thanks to these people that her life was spared of immediate death. Even so, she felt embarrassed at her weakness, which was evident on the look of her face.Merlot joined the group, carrying little Note who seemed to be unfazed after that hard won fight. Sakuya followed, running in haste and hugged her master as soon as she got near her. [492] [13,269/14,000]

Valentus held his sword in a defensive posture and watched the movements of the smacked Black Heart Namekian as it landed, pulled itself back to its feet with a grumble, and faced the new entree in the battle. It was not merely making sure that the Namekian does not surprise him that was his priority - it was to make sure that Chardonnay behind him does not get hurt, either.
The little Baroness refused Paizu's call to hide in the wooden arbour until the end of the battle - instead, she left that place for the girl she rescued from the clutches of the Black Heart Namekian before, and the fairy followed after. While this did mean Valentus was going to have to keep tabs on them both for the rest of the fight, at least someone was pulled away from danger that moment, and that was more than enough for the Tuffle to hear.
Suddenly, an energy bolt fired from behind the monstrous Namekian, tiny, yet powerful enough to detonate the creature in a spectacular fashion. Valentus watched in slight shock, then lowered his sword when the explosion subsided and he saw the blue skinned Namek appear behind it. He offered help, whether or not they take this as an opportunity to get to safety or not.
The Tuffle smiled with confidence.
"Thank you, sir," he replied. "I'm not the type who needs to get back to safety - I'd rather help you to make sure there's no threat left at all."
The numbers of the monstrous Namekians had dwindled severely. Clearly, the mob had underestimated the defenders of the town of Lumina, both in their raw strength and in their strategy. The use of fire made sure that their numbers could no longer regenerate - and soon, the only Black Hearts left across the entire town were restrained and tied up in sacks of rope.
The day has been saved. Valentus turned off the heat module of his sword, a faint hum vanishing, and sheathed it, then took an easier breath. Paizu flew out of her hiding place, and upon seeing that there was no threat left in the town, she spoke up:
"Now that it's over, can I just come out and say that this is probably... in the top ten of the mostest ugliest things which Valentus threw the two of us at?"
"Well, they are certainly not easy on the eye..." the Tuffle muttered under his breath in response, then glanced towards Chardonnay when she addressed him directly. The girl, though clearly not satisfied with her performance in the fight, was nevertheless thankful for his and for the Namekian's help. Valentus responded with a soft smile, approached the Baroness and briefly patted her on the head.
"A friend in need is a friend indeed, you know," he answered. "Don't feel down about getting in danger and needing our help back there, though. I'm sure that when you grow up and become stronger, you'll be the one who saves others from trouble. And who knows, maybe we'll both become as strong as the Namekian over there?"

Hearing the gratitude given by both Chardonnay and Valentus, Bass would glance to the side and give a simple nod. He felt awkward getting thanked for anything, really, he typically felt like when push came to shove he always managed to do more harm than good. Regardless, he acknowledged their words before looking back and speaking.
"I'll do an overhead sweep,-" He started as his legs raised off of the ground. "-shouldn't take long." And he practically disappeared in a moment, snow kicking up as he zipped left and right across the battlefield, ducking into buildings to make sure nothing was hidden behind the crevices. It seemed as if most of the creatures at some point when they lost the momentum of the fight gravitated towards the ones fighting them in an attempt to spite the ones who caused them to fail, but that didn't help their cause any.
Returning quickly, he'd speak. "It looks all clear to me. I'm sure if I somehow missed something, one of the townsfolk will readily let you know." As he spoke on that topic, people started to come out of their hiding spots as everything was quiet, creeping out of their houses, out of alleyways, such and so forth. Tentatively, they wondered if it was over.
Flying over towards Melody, along the way he'd take note of........ Note. He had his thoughts about Melody giving birth to Capsule Kids; the only way he could rationalize such an extreme change. Whatever deal with the devil she signed with Capsule Corp, must've been worth it.
Regardless, as his boots hit the ground he'd reach up and begin loosening his tie, finally pulling it off. "So, when and where works for you? You know me, I'm global."
He looked between Echo, glancing between the captured Namekians. "I think it's a waste to have gone through the trouble to not make use of them. I'll take them off of your hand, my company will be able to research their physiology, maybe we can develop some weapons that are effective against them to arm the townsfolk and military with." He still thought Piccolo was desperate- in Bass's mind, these swarms of rabid beasts were the actions of a dog, not the tyrant he thought he knew. Though, he kept those thoughts to himself, that discussion would get nowhere.
And so the curtain would close on Port Lumina.
At least, for now.
