Shu's Hidden Village was certainly a unique place to be in during the day. Beneath the waters would be a giant amusement park, covered in a heavy glass dome giving a great sight of the outside ocean to the various tourists and vacationing people, and that would be on top of the various water park attractions and thrill rides already within the park. On top of even that, the park would provide a rather unique ninja aesthetic, providing a rather unique theme of shinobi and subterfuge to the already diverse and interesting theme park that was Pilaf Land and giving the park excuses to create dark indoor rides to skimp on paying lights.
As for the food, when most people think about Shu's Hidden Village they usually think about the sushi vendors and the ninja themed restaurant known as "Hidden Wave Kitchen", both serving mostly fish and shrimp, as well as pieces of sushi of all kinds. However, one store in particular would be somewhat out of place, as one would find a rather small Hasky's location in between two different rollercoasters. The store's owner meant to have the location be located in World War Red rather than Shu's Hidden Village, but due to a filing error the shop was built in the underwater theme park instead, resulting in her having to improvise.
With this Hasky's location being deep underwater, the owner, a Saiyan woman by the name of Rutabee, would quickly redesign the menu to suit the underwater theme. With help from various taste testings from her employees she was able to create a sort of sausage made from a blend of various kinds of shrimp that would taste somewhat good, and alongside swapping out fries for popcorn shrimp and hashbrowns, and adding tartar sauce to the menu, she would barely manage to save the location from becoming a big failure. All of that would be ten years ago however, and while the store still runs as of today, that previous manager had since left, with one of her former co-workers having replaced her as manager.
Today though, business would be going as usual, the lobby being at about half capacity as the chefs in the back would be working hard cooking the Shrimp Dogs that made this certain Pilaf Land Hasky's location so popular among tourists. And bringing those hot dogs to customers personally would be a rather short and lithe human looking woman with what appeared to be tentacle hair by the name of Yew Contagion, taking her time slowly carrying two heavily filled platters down to a large table, hosting a family of Saiyans.
"H-here's your order of... oof this is heavy... the W-whole Family Meal, complete with over 20 Tartar Chili Shrimp Sausages, a entire platter of hushpuppies and popcorn shrimp... and u-unlimited drink refills."
Dropping the two platters down on the table with a thud, Yew would barely get any recognition as the large Saiyan family would dig in eating. The most she would get in terms of recognition would be the mother of the family raising a hand, a large amount of Zeni held within as she would slowly hand it to the lithe girl, before joining the rest of her family.
In truth, Yew would barely feel any tiredness from carrying both of those platters and would pretend to be out of breath, but as she was going through her day job she tried to keep a guise of being a normal, overly-worked woman on the job. While she didn't really enjoy serving regular people, much less Saiyans, she was at least earning some money, and with her living in Maitown when not on her job that sort of money was needed. She did have other reasons for working at Hasky's during the day though, but with today seeming to just be another slow drag, they did not matter much to her at the time.
Taking a slow time to count through the Zeni bills, Yew would sigh a bit as she would sit down for a small break. "Well... this will manage to pay for their meal fully, but once again I barely get any tip. At least it's better than what I get for my other job, but I just wish I had the money to pay for a small break, just a day off so I can enjoy the finer things in life... once I figure out what those are here that is."

Arashi had little idea of how he ended up coming down here. He'd simply been following other people as they walked around, and one thing lead to another he found himself in this dome under the water. The darkness of the place was no issue to him, the dim lights were all he needed to see with near-total clarity, his yellow eye glowing dimly in the darker areas of the park as his hunter's eyes acclimated and allowed him to pierce the darkness with his vision.
The rides were interesting, but he'd never been on such devices before. He wasn't sure if he would enjoy them himself though other people seemed to enjoy them. The screams of terror and joy as a rollercoaster hit a loop. He wondered why the people here would ride these rides if they were afraid of them though like a few people seemed to be. Though when he saw their faces, it seemed they had enjoyed themselves in spite of the fear, perhaps the simple rush of facing one's fear and trying to overcome it. It was interesting, but his attention shifted to a different place when he caught something interesting in the air.
There was plenty of delicious scents in this place, and he was intent on eating from them all. However, this place had a scent different from all the others when it came to their food. To him, it was more unique, interesting. He looked at the sight to "Hasky's" as he made his way inside. These places seemed to want money. Luckily he had some, though he had yet to spend any. However, he didn't really have a head for it, no notion of the value things possessed. He was still learning about the value of money in society. It was something his parents had never had to deal with, so it was something he was experiencing for the first time instead of gaining second-hand experience from sharing in his mother's past memories.
He waited near the front desk, not sure if he should take a seat at one of the tables and wait or not. He hoped he might be seen, however, it might look odd to others who did notice him considering he looked no older than six years old, a four-foot-tall little boy with blue hair, wearing an outfit of well-made leather and fur, giving him an almost noble appearance, and a somewhat serious expression on his face. Though the clothes were something he could simply conjure with his magic. He didn't care much for clothes though it seemed most people disliked the idea of someone walking around naked. So he stayed dressed rather than deal with anyone who might complain about his exposure to the world.

In a crowded tube elevator a high school class was descending down into a wondrous place; an underwater theme park. A young man in a white button down shirt and a school jacket on over jeans stands at the edge of the elevator, his heart picking up its pace slightly as he looked out into the turquoise expanse at the dome they were approaching. It was hard at first to see anything but movement and lights, the water refracting his vision too much to make out any detail. The motion of large flippers and a flash of green distracted him from the corner of his vision. His eyes snapped to a sea turtle, gracefully propelling itself forward, almost looking like it was flying from this perspective. He watched it until their descent took it out of comfortable view and turned back to look down towards Shu's Hidden Village. They were nearly down to the dome now and he could see much better; crowds of people laughing, eating, and enjoying various rides as the walked around surrounded by ninja themed décor. Here and there blond androids walked around stiffly, easily identified in the crowd. They must be the easiest security force to avoid ever... he mused as the elevator shuddered and a small shock went through them as they gently thunked to the bottom of the shaft. The teacher up near the doors started droning on about their assignment, to study how a successful, innovative business in the them park was run, yada yada yada... Alaric was ready to get out and ride some rides! Maybe grab some good greasy food while he was at it. His friend Hatori's elbow dug into his side, interrupting his musings, "Come on Al, let's go!" He filed out behind the rest of the class, excitement mounting as he finally got free of the elevators and got to go! They rode a few rides, his favorite being the ninja mine car coaster, before his stomach began to gurgle, reminding him he had forgotten breakfast that morning. He began eyeing his options and raised his eyebrows as he saw a Hasky's. It seemed out of place but it had a healthy amount of patrons. He found a table near to where a boy with blue hair was standing and looking about, seemingly clueless. He cleared his throat, "Hey, you can sit here with me to eat if you'd like. I'm Alaric, what's your name?"While he waited to see if the boy was going to join him, he pulled a notepad out and started taking a few notes on this place, since it seemed the most interesting and out of place one here so far. After a few minutes on her break, Yew would take her time in getting back to work, taking up the front register while another waitress with what appeared to be electronic shades would take her former role in serving people. Looking forward, she would see what appeared to be a little blue-haired kid to her, standing at the same height as her and wearing some sort of leather outfit. She didn't exactly know who the kid belonged to, but as she would look for a menu to give to the kid, she would see someone else walk up to the little kid. Hearing the words the older man would talk to the kid, Yew would quickly cross out the possibility that they were related before pulling out two menus. "I think before you discuss further and hold up the line, you should sit down, Mr. Alaric. The name is Yew by the way, and welcome to... ugh, welcome to Hasky's, where we serve our food with a great salute and a even greater selection of sausages and other meals."Placing the two menus into Alaric and Arashi's hands respectively, Yew would slowly escort them to a booth seat within the store, located near the back where there would be a window showing the amusement park's streets as well as a good view of the Hidden Village's biggest ride, the Ninja Mine Coaster. The menus would display both the standard Hasky's menu including sausages and various types of hashbrowns and fries, but in the second half of the menu they would show meals exclusive to the specific location, including the location's signature "Shrimp Dogs" as well as popcorn shrimp accompanied by hushpuppies and tartar sauce. "We'll get you started on some water for now, unless you have any specific drinks that you want. I hope you enjoy your service at Hasky's..."Walking away for a bit, Yew would leave the two to have time introducing themselves to each other, as she would prepare drinks for them based on what they wanted. The hardest part of the job for her was interacting with others, but the two seemed to be quite a bit more polite than she was expecting, which was a slight relief going by what she had to go through earlier in the day, dealing with a influx of Saiyan and Majin tourists with their appetites as well as other rude customers. Eventually, after having finished filling up their cups, Yew would begin walking back, before ending up colliding with one of her co-workers, the one wearing the electronic shades, who was running quickly to the kitchen to return an order. Yew would firmly hold onto the cups, but while they didn't spill over the floor she would be covered in what was effectively tartar sauce from a unwanted and half-eaten order of popcorn shrimp. Rising up from the floor, Yew would look with glaring daggers at the taller woman, looking somewhat annoyed. "Daya, do you know how hard it is to get stains out of these outfits? I had to find a powerful stain remover to clean these, and those don't come cheap."Realizing her co-worker's anger at having her suit ruined, Daya would slowly back up as she would continue to hold onto the tray that once held the leftover food from a previous customer. "I'm sorry! I was just trying to throw away and clean up, I didn't even see you! I promise I'll pay for that outfit to be cleaned, just please forgive me!""...Your lucky I've known you for two years and consider you a friend Daya. But please, I need to keep moving, I got a new group of people to serve, and they're probably wanting their drinks by now."Walking past Daya as the tentacle-haired woman would watch her, Yew would eventually place the two drinks down in front of the two newcomers, as she would continue to wipe off some of the tartar sauce still covering her outfit. "I'm sorry, there was a bit of a incident but your drinks are both fine. Feel free to call me by name over when you figure out what you wanna eat, but for now I am gonna help others get seated. Comes with the job, at least one of you can understand."

Post by Vidar (PROJECT: RAGNAROK) on Nov 22, 2020 17:41:57 GMT -8
Pilaf Land had an underwater attraction? That was different; in fact, it was very different from a lot of what he had seen so far. He was sure that he had not even seen a quarter of Pilaf Land, but the area he had seen, the parts he had been through, had a lot of vegetable based attractions. There were also the vegetable based problems. The carrot fields, the mushroom forests, the carrot spaceships, and the farmers trapped within carrot capsules. The whole place, at least what he had seen, had a definitive vegetable lean to it, at least in terms of theme.
So, to learn that the place had an underwater themed area, it brought out a sense of curiosity in Vidar that he felt he had lost after being in Pilaf for so long. He wondered how it worked? How could they have built the amusement park underwater? What types of attractions were there down there? It brought out so many questions and he went to find the place to answer those questions.
Finding it was no problem; or at least, finding the entrance to the place wasn't much of a problem. There was a large group of people, moving like a herd of sheep, through the park. Some of them were snapping photos of everything they saw. Every attraction, even the flora - the many different types of trees and flowers - maintained by the park. But, he saw that this particular group was heading, together, in one direction, all headed to Shu's Village, while some were eager to try some restaurant or some eater that someone had commented was called "Hasky's," or was it "Husky's" whatever that was.
He followed them across the park, peeking occasionally at the flora and the sights and then he stepped into an elevator, or something that looked like an elevator. It was a glass tube with doors and as soon as he stepped inside, alongside all the other people in the group, the doors slid shut behind him and he began to descend. He was going underwater? The glass tube allowed him to see all that was beneath the waves, the fish that swam by for example. And, far below, he could see the dome. He could see walkways connecting one dome to another. It gave off an almost ethereal and ghostly glow at the bottom of the ocean, glistening in those darkened depths beneath the waves.
It took a few minutes, but soon the elevator had reached its destination, sliding to a stop with an almost cheerful ding before the doors slid open and the group ambled out, allowing Vidar to step out of the elevator and take notice of the area surrounding him now. The lighting was very low, and while some people were having some time getting around, even bumping into each other, Vidar did not have such an issue. In fact, his bright yellow irises took on a golden glow, an almost warm hue, as his scanners kicked his low light vision mode into gear and the area, at least to him, looked a lot brighter very quickly. He could see clearly all around him and he saw that the place was different than the rest of the park up above the waves. This place was themed different; no vegetable based themes around here. This area appeared to have some kind of ninja theme going on. There were even workers dressed up as ninja slinking in and out of the shadows, although Vidar could see them perfectly, as they helped people then scurried out of their sight just as quickly as they appeared.
He stood out among all the other tourists; well, aside from the fact that his eyes were literally glowing in the dark, giving off that golden glow, they were bright yellow irises floating in a sea of black sclera, his hair was bright blonde, and he looked very much a mixture of man and machine, being a cyborg. The biggest difference between him and others was the fact that he was missing an arm. One shoulder socket, where his arm would be, was completely empty.
He wasn't wearing anything special; jeans and a sleeveless shirt and some sneakers on his feet. The shirt had the PILAF LAND insignia on the back and an image of Pilaf grinning and holding a dragon ball in his hand.

Arashi blinked to Alaric when he was invited to sit with the older boy. He was about to reply when the... Well, she worked here. He assumed that meant she was a woman, despite them being close in height. Arashi being somewhere close to four feet tall, though he had yet to try and accurately measure his height, he was somewhere in that range.
He would have joined Alaric at his table, but from the woman speaking it seemed that his choice to wait and be told where to sit, or if he could sit had been the right call rather than assuming he could sit. Since a moment later the small woman was guiding him and Alaric to a different table. Perhaps the one Alaric chose had been reserved for someone else or something. Arashi could not be sure.
But he didn't mind joining Alaric at the new table at least. He seemed friendly enough. When Yew walked away he looked to Alaric. "My name is Arashi. It seems I am joining you." He said offering a smile showing rows of pointed teeth, resembling a shark's smile.
He opened the menu to look through it, trying to decide what he wanted. It was lucky that there seemed to be images accompanying the words because Arashing could not read yet. While his mother had passed on plenty of skills, and knowledge to him, reading had not been one of them. Or at least, not reading in this language. His mother had known how to speak many languages, but reading and writing had never been a concern for her. Monsters didn't usually keep collections of books, and his parents had not been any different.
"Yew!" He called to the woman, lifting and waving a hand to her since she had said to call to her when he was ready to order. Assuming he got the woman's attention, and she came over to hear what he had to say, he would point into the menu what he wanted. "This." He said pointing to the shrimp dogs. He could not read what it was of course, but it looked good to him. "I want... Two dozen of these." He finally decided. Not sure how big the food was compared to the picture, but he figured that should be plenty for now. He could get more if he wanted them. His appetite was such that he could eat half a grizzly bear in one sitting. His appetite at least for the moment was comparable to that of a Saiyan, this was due to his body needing the energy to fuel its rapid growth. He would require much less food once he hit maturity.

Alaric turned his attention to the sound of his name and sees a uniformed waitress trying to get his attention. He nods agreeably enough at her words and gives her a big smile, ruffling his hand through his hair as he replied, "Sure, let's grab that seat then, Yew. Thanks!"
He settled into the booth, the cool vinyl creaking and crackling a bit under his weight as he placed his notebook next to his menu. He picked up the menu and started perusing it; It looked mostly like a normal Hasky's menu with the sausages and hash browns... but there was a bit of a deviation on the back. He distractedly muttered at her drink inquiry, "Water's fine for me, thanks." as he looked at the shrimp dogs and popcorn shrimp. He kept looking at them indecisively as the young man introduced himself, missing the sharp teeth in his concentration on the fruits of the sea.
"Nice to meet you, Arashi. Are you here on a field trip too? I didn't see any groups of kids your age, just wanted to make sure you hadn't got lost. If you want to, after we eat, we can go on the Ninja Mine Coaster!"
Alaric looked out the window and pointed to the nearby attraction, a roller coaster that started outside and climbed up into the side of an artificial mountain. "Not going to lie, it's pretty intense, but it is super fun!" Past where he was pointing he saw a one armed android getting off of the elevator. It looked a lot different from the shin bots he had seen patrolling around and running the rides. It was wearing a Pilaf land tee shirt, maybe it was an upgraded version? But then why let it run around incomplete?
As the waitress returned, answering the summons of his lunch companion, Alaric returned to focus thought he had neared his decision. He was leaning towards getting a shrimp dog... he took a sip of his water and almost spit it out as the kid ordered 20 of them. He covered his mouth and coughed a couple of times, then wheezes, "The popcorn shrimp for me, and some hash browns please. Extra tartar sauce, thanks!"
He set the menu at the end of the table and began to ask, "What are some of the challenges you face running a business in a them park?" but as he finally turned his full attention back to the waitress what came out was, "What... the heck happened to your shirt?" He blushed as the words came out, but couldn't take them back.
Hope they don't spit in my food...

Walking away for a bit after placing down the drinks for the two guests, Yew would quickly notice another new person coming in, this one being in the form of some sort of robotic looking person, with a missing arm and a pair of glowing eyes. Seeing his confused look about the place, the woman would wait for him to come in slowly, before holding out a menu to him for the android to use. "Welcome to Hasky's... where we serve our food with a great salute and you get the rest... We don't get that many guests with disabilities, but I'm sure we'll be able to find you a table which should account for your missing arm. That way you will still be able to have a good experience eating here today."Handing the menu to Vidar, Yew would hand the android the menu before escorting him to a table right next to the group of Alaric and Arashi, quickly getting their orders written down and not noticing the former's comment about her shirt as she would help sit down the new caterer. Guessing that the android probably didn't want a drink, she would quickly move to Daya, who would be coming out from the kitchen with a large platter, though would stop before the girl could drop something on her again. "Hey, can you serve the android that just came in? I need to fulfill a large order for two people, and I can't be interrupted.""Hmm?" Quickly finding a table to place the food she was carrying out down, she would quickly nod to what her cohort was saying before looking to the table housing Vidar. "Well, I never housed a robot before... but I suppose there is a first time for everything! Sure! Just let me get this last table done and I'll take care of him real quick!""Good." Quickly marching into the kitchen, Yew would hand the order to the pair of chefs working in the back, one of them a Majin and the other human, containing the order for two dozen shrimp dogs, and a order of popcorn shrimp with hashbrowns. She was somewhat used to large orders due to the Saiyans and Majins that came into the restaurant on a daily basis, but she didn't expect it coming from a young kid at the least, though the other order at the very least was of a reasonable size. Thankfully she would be able to carry it out when it was all finished. After a few minutes, Yew would come out of the kitchen, carrying a large platter in her right hand and a small one in her left. On the bigger platter would be Arashi's order of 24 shrimp dogs, covered in a heavy variety of sauces that was standard for the recipe. On the smaller platter would be Alaric's much more simple order of shrimp and hashbrowns, which was much easier for her to carry as one would notice the visible strain from her carrying the other platter. Walking up to Alaric and Arashi, Yew would place them down as she would huff a bit from seeming exhaustion. "Your orders... 24 shrimp dogs with the works, and the shrimp and hashbrown value meal. We hope you enjoy your meal... actually do you mind if I take a seat for a bit?"Sitting down in a small chair she would pull out from a nearby table, Yew would pull out what appeared to be a small paper fan from one of her pockets, before fanning herself from a long day of work. While the exhaustion wasn't really real, the sweat and heat was genuine to her, and a busy day like this made her feel like cooked sushi. Looking to her left, she would see Daya unaffected by it completely, and would frown a bit upon realizing that, as she would watch her serve Vidar. "Welcome to Hasky's! I'll be your waitress for the day, Daya! So, what would you like to eat today?"

Vidar had stepped out of the elevator and had begun to look around the area; he hadn't really moved that far away from the elevator, and people were walking around him - he was like a rock in a stream, the river of people were just flowing on and around him as they appeared preoccupied taking in the strange and wondrous sight of the underwater themed amusement park area.
He heard people whispering, some of them were talking about the underwater amusement park attraction, mentioning they couldn't see very much but could see enough to walk around without bumping into anyone or anything. Others, on the other hand, were whispering and pointing at the blonde cyborg. They could see his brightly glowing eyes, they stuck out in the dimly lit area, like tiny lighthouses being seen from a distance.
Vidar paid them little to no mind, though he did make a mental note that they had been speaking about him. Though he wasn't paying attention to what was being said; he assumed it had something to do with his eyes, how strange they looked glowing brightly in the dark.
He had been standing there for a moment or two, when a voice caught his attention and he turned to face the person that had walked up to him. It was a woman; she appeared to work there, and she greeted him with a polite greeting that sounded as if she had been reading it directly from a script; she also sounded as if she had said the same greeting so many times that she had it memorized and was, frankly, bored with it. Still, she began the greeting, though she didn't finish it, and pointed out that he was missing one of his arms; though she did so by calling it a disability.
He peered over at the spot where his arm should be. Would he be considered disabled? Well, apparently, yes. He peeked back at the woman. "Thank you for the welcome. I am unsure if I am considered disabled; although, I am in need of a new arm and some upgrading." He did add, being rather bluntly honest about his condition.
Taking the menu that was handed to him, Vidar followed her over to a table and situated himself. He noticed that he was sat down next to a pair of young men though he didn't speak up to either of them and instead looked over his menu whilst the woman that handed it to him went to take the order of the table beside him.
He hadn't finished looking at the menu when someone else walked up to him. She introduced herself as his waitress, Daya? Interesting name.
He had no idea what to order. He could eat. He was not fully robotic, rather he was an amalgamation of cybernetic augmentations and biological matter, as he had started out human before all the experimentation upgraded him to what he was now. Still, eating was not necessary; it was not something that he needed.
Still, he had eaten before, and he had enjoyed the taste of certain foods. But, what kind of food did they serve there? He looked at the menu, which had been handed to him by the host of the place (was she the host? He could only assume that she was) and then after a half second consideration, he peered over at the young server.
"May I take a moment to consider the options? I'm unsure as to what would be a good choice." He looked at the order. "Is there anything here, in the menu, that you would recommend that I try? Until a few moments ago, I was unaware that this part of the park existed, so I am unaware of what kind of foods they sell here, and what foods are most highly enjoyed by the rest of the visitors that come."

"A field trip? No. I came here by myself." He said simply with a little shrug. If he could call the treehouse where Lily and Cayle lived his home, then he would not have lived far from this place. He could basically come this way just about any time he wanted to now. He just walked here since he still could not fly, but he hoped to fix that problem in time. He just needed to become a bit stronger and then he would be fine. His wings would let him fly. But as things were right now he could barely glide in a strong wind let alone fly.
When Yew came back with their food, Arashi grinned before making room for the woman to sit down if she wanted to. He didn't really mind much himself, and he figured since he was smaller it would take less room for her to join him than to join Alaric on his side. "I don't mind if you join us." He said before grabbing one of the sea dogs and eagerly ate it. He had the first one gone in three seconds and started working on the next one. Each sea dog only lasting three bites. If he were bigger he probably could have eaten them in two bites, but as he was still the size of a six-year-old boy, that was not possible for the moment. All the same, his pace would have amazed any normal person.
It seemed Yew decided to grab a chair instead, so Arashi moved back into the spot he had been sitting. He could see Yew was looking heated, so doing her a little favor he waved a hand in her direction. It was a minor work of magic as he created a small cool breeze to blow around her and circle her. He was still learning to control his powers, but this was simple enough. With the wind he created circling her, it would feel much more like a breezy spring day. Not quite cold, but certainly far cooler. There wasn't really any physical reaction, the air didn't sparkle around her or anything. He just waved a hand and the air became cooler.

Alaric felt nervous twisting in his gut as the waitress struggled towards them with the seriously out of balance load in her hands. His hands kept coming up to tentatively offer to help, but she seemed in control and he didn't want to disturb her delicately held balance. He put his hands down on the table and resigned himself to let her do her job and to not interfere. Shortly after he was rewarded with a lovely tray of piping hot food, the steam flowing up across his face like a gentle caress of aromatic goodness. He smiled and gestured at the table as Yew asked to join them. Enthusiasm bubbled his voice as he gushed out, "Please, join us Ms. Yew. I might have a few questions for my assignment... but if you could just tell me what a unique business such as yourself does to survive in this theme park? What challenged did you all have to overcome? Anything you know would be great!"
He paused and looked down at his meal and let the aroma wash over him as he leaned over his significantly smaller tray. The aroma of fried shrimp made his mouth water, so he started there. He picked a couple of up and dunked them into one of the sauces, a red one that looked similar to ketchup but was looser in consistency. He popped it in his mouth and closed his eyes as a lightning strike of heat and spice exploded in his mouth, blending in with the sweetness of the shrimp as he chewed and marrying together in a wondrous fireworks display of flavor on his tongue. He whispered, "Wow... this is really nice!"
He looked over at the next table and saw a one armed man contemplating the menu. He had a shock of blond hair and looked to be some sort of... android? Not like the security bots wandering around... he seemed more like a person. Obviously, he needs to eat doesn't he, doofus?
Clearing his throat he piped up, "I don't know if you like seafood, mister, but the popcorn shrimp is out of this world good! Super fresh, fried perfectly, and the sauce sets it off superbly!"
Alaric felt a faint wash of concern wash over him as he heard Arashi say he was there alone... but maybe his mom and dad had just dropped him off. He seemed a little young for that... but maybe he was small for his age. The siren call of the shrimp eroded his concern and he shoveled more in his mouth, followed by a hash brown. His eyes rolled up in his head as he looked heavenward... the saltiness of the hash browns was a perfect counterpoint! He took a big drink of water and let out a satisfied sigh. This was going to be an awesome lunch!
